On Oct. 14th at 1:55pm EDT, a Solar Eclipse becomes exact at 21 degrees of Libra — you may also want to watch my Solar Eclipse video.
48 hours before and after an Eclipse, we are experiencing heavy energetic downloads, so it’s best to wait to set Solar Eclipse Intentions until after these intense downloads are over.
Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that take place approximately every six months — this is the second Solar Eclipse in 2023 (in this particular Eclipse cycle that will be in effect until March 2025). The first Solar Eclipse of 2023 took place in Aries on April 20th.
Think back to late April and see what seeds got planted in your life in connection with the last Solar Eclipse. Did you set Solar Eclipse Intentions on April 22nd or 23rd? Did something end or begin at that time? What have you discovered about your physical vitality and self-identity?
This Eclipse is an Annular Solar Eclipse; these occur when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth while the Moon is at or near its farthest point from Earth. Because of the distance to the Earth, it appears smaller than the Sun and does not entirely cover the Sun. As a result, the Moon appears as a dark disk on top of a larger, bright disk, creating what looks like a ring of light around the Moon.
This Eclipse will be most visible in parts of the United States (mainly Oregon, Northern California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, and Texas), Mexico, and many countries in South and Central America.
Everyone in the U.S. will see a partial Solar Eclipse, with those farther West seeing a much more significant chunk taken out of the Sun.
No matter where you are on the planet, however, the effects of the Eclipse will be transformative globally.
We also addressed Eclipse Season and the Solar Eclipse in Libra in more detail in our webinar: “Eclipse Season & Pluto Station”. If you missed this fantastic online event ==> click here to get this fabulous 1hour 45 min. webinar
The Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes during an Eclipse, alternating between North and South Node Eclipses, emphasizing the evolutionary upgrades available to us during such times.
This is the first South Node Solar Eclipse in Libra since the Moon Nodes moved into the Aries-Libra polarity on July 17th, 2023.
Solar Eclipses, in particular, often correspond to significant endings and beginnings. They occur close to the same degree every 19 years, and the last time we had a New Moon/Solar Eclipse in this particular degree and sign while the South Node was traveling through Libra was on October 14th, 2004.
We will likely experience a resonance between now and that time — “resonance”, not repetition — so think back to the Fall of 2004 and ask yourself: Were there any significant endings and beginnings? What was important to me back then? If I were to take those priorities to the next level, where would that next level find me?
A couple of things to note for this Solar Eclipse chart: the New Moon not only aligns with the South Node but also with Mercury in Libra; it also makes a Quincunx to Uranus in Taurus and an opposition to Chiron & the North Node in Aries.
Pluto in Capricorn has a potent role in this Eclipse chart, as it is exalted (due to its Station phase), and it squares the Moon Nodes and, therefore also the New Moon/Solar Eclipse.
Squares are 90º aspects that mark a turning point that we must take to make progress; they ask us to stretch and grow beyond who we used to be.
These are the major themes of this Solar Eclipse chart, and we will address them in more detail. First, let’s talk a bit more about…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 16-26º of Libra, Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you may feel the effects of this powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Setting Intentions for a Solar Eclipse is a little different from the regular monthly New Moon process — after all, we are setting them for the whole 5.5-month Eclipse cycle, rather than just the next 28 days.
Solar Eclipse Intentions are best done 48 hours after the Eclipse becomes exact. We are downloading new templates at the time of an Eclipse, and the energies are quite intense, so we want to wait until it all settles down a little before setting our intentions… We also definitely do not want to do this during a Moon void of course.
The best and most potent times to set your Intentions for this Solar Eclipse are between 1:55pm (on Oct. 16th) and 11:44am (on Oct. 17th) and then again from 3:36pm (Oct. 17th) until 1:55pm (on Oct. 18th) — (in US Eastern Daylight Savings Time — i.e. the New York time zone).
Set powerful intentions — again, they cover the next 5.5 months — and if possible, align them with the Libra energy!
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fanpage and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions.

On Sept. 14th at 9:40pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 22 degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. We start to feel the effects of this New Moon the moment the Moon entered Virgo on Sept. 13th. Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon has an abundance of planets in Earth signs: the Moon, the Sun, and Mercury in Virgo, Pluto in Capricorn, Jupiter, and Uranus in Taurus (all planets in Earth Signs).
The element of Earth deals with the physical reality of things and usually requires a practical approach. This means that our focus will be on those things for the next four weeks — on both the individual and collective levels.
We still have seven planets out of 9 in Retrograde motion when the New Moon becomes exact. With this many planets moving backward, we might feel things are not moving forward. If we experience this, we might want to look at what is holding us back — old fears and limiting beliefs stemming from unresolved trauma, childhood programming, and social conditioning.
We can see and take our next steps as we heal old wounds, break old patterns, and realize new perspectives.
I will talk more about this in connection with the planetary aspects of this New Moon chart, but first, let’s look at the Virgo energy of this New Moon:
Virgo provides an opportunity to learn about being of service — and what it might mean to strengthen our focus on improving our daily routines — getting organized, for example — and taking care of health matters.
This New Moon cycle will thus be a great time to begin new projects that demand attention to detail, list-making, and taking pride in “small” accomplishments.
We might start a new health regimen, perhaps by paying close attention to our diet; we could also set up specific routines that help us manage our lives constructively and mindfully.
This cycle is about handling the nitty-gritty details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion so we can free our minds of clutter. Where could you use more open space?
Things to watch out for: sweating the details, worrying, and being extra-critical of ourselves and others when something doesn’t get done “right”.
Another great way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 20-24 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 9:40pm Thursday evening (Sept. 14th) and 9:49am Friday late morning (Sept. 15th); and then again from 1:44pm on Sept. 15th until 9:40pm on Saturday, Sept. 16th (New York-time).
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (that’s the US East Coast time zone), feel free to join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on “X” (the app formerly known as Twitter). I will be posting reminders on Sept. 14th in the evening, and on Sept. 15th & 16th throughout the day to let you know when it is time to set your intentions.
Again, Pluto is still in its Retrograde motion until Oct. 10th. It will start to slow down and be more exalted from Sept. 18th on.
Feel free to join us for our next webinar: “Pluto’s Station in Capricorn & Eclipse season” for more insight on what’s coming up over the next month and how it relates to your own birth chart!

On August 16th, at 5:38am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 23 degrees of Leo — in other words, the New Moon will be exact (I recommend you also watch my New Moon video on the subject).
There are several planets of importance in this New Moon chart:
Uranus in Taurus & Mercury in Virgo not only trine each other, but are also both exalted/stationing — and Jupiter in Taurus starts to slow down (station) only a day after the New Moon becomes exact — we will feel its archetypical energy more strongly until Sept. 22nd.
All three of these planets are preparing for their various Retrograde phases, bringing awareness to issues we must face or deal with during their various Retrograde phases.
The New Moon in Leo aligns with Venus (currently in her retrograde phase), trines Chiron in Aries, and squares a wide Jupiter/Uranus alignment in Taurus.
The exalted Mercury in Virgo also makes a Quincunx to Chiron in Aries and aligns with Mars (the ruler of Aries). More about all of that in a moment; first, let’s talk about the New Moon energies:
A retrograde Venus aligns with the New Moon in Leo; this highlights the power of our individual creativity; and makes our inner creative child and any physical children essential for the next 28 days.
Since Venus is in her Retrograde phase until Sept. 3rd, we are invited to look at what is (and what isn’t) in alignment with the expression of our light. We are invited to reclaim our hearts and reconnect to our inner joy and expressive, playful core.
Ask yourself: What needs to be re-evaluated in my life? What are my heart connections telling me?
Do I feel connected to joy? To a healthy sense of self-expression? Playful creativity? Where can I find the courage to step outside of my safety zone? What role does gratitude play in all of this?
We also covered the Venus Retrograde phase in our most recent Forecasting Forum, which is now available for purchase on my webinar page. Feel free to take a look to better understand your relationship, self-worth, and financial issues.
For the next 28 days, the New Moon in fun-loving, extroverted Leo has us looking for…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 21-25 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio? Or do you have an Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer? This New Moon may impact you more than others.
And last, but definitely not least: the New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; the best time for the intention-setting process is soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
Since there will be a Moon VoC phase starting at the same time as the New Moon becomes exact, we will need to wait several hours before setting our intentions during the best & most potent time. This month’s best and most potent time would be between 7:14pm on August 16th and 5:38am on Aug. 18th. As always, all times are in EDT — the New York timezone.
If you live outside the EDT timezone and converting timezones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fanpage and following me on Twitter. I will post reminders on both platforms on August 16th, 17th, and 18th to let you know the best time to set your intentions.

by Sonja Francis | Jul 13, 2023 | Astrological Forecasts, Astrology Articles, New Moon
On July 17th at 2:32pm EDT/7:32pm London time, the New Moon becomes exact in 25 degrees of Cancer; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon is powerful in that it makes aspects to all the outer planets (Neptune in Pisces, Pluto in Capricorn & Uranus in Taurus). With this many outer planets actively involved in this New Moon chart, we are invited to do some deeper Soul-work. The New Moon also squares Chiron, the wounded Healer!
We have two planets in their Station phases and thus exalted: Venus in Leo & Chiron in Aries. Both of them are preparing for their upcoming Retrograde phases; Venus is also involved in a YOD aspect with Neptune & Pluto (again, two outer planets).
Another thing worth mentioning with this New Moon chart: the Moon Nodes change signs only 90 minutes after the New Moon becomes exact (into Aries-Libra).
This 18-month journey begins with a Square to Pluto in Capricorn (exact on July 23rd and & 28th) which will be within 5 degrees of the Moon Nodes until Dec. 8th, 2023! — but before we unwrap the meaning of all of this, let’s first talk about the Cancer archetype:
Cancer is the first water sign of the zodiac, as such, it relates to the development of the “emotional body” — so this Moon cycle amplifies feelings, instincts, and needs.
Cancer represents the yin, receptive principle, which births, nurtures, and protects life. The Sun and Moon in Cancer remind us that we must also receive as well as give. Both constant giving and constant taking are unhealthy and unsustainable.
Our feeling nature has been denied and suppressed for millennia, but we have begun to embrace it more fully since 2011, when Neptune started its journey through Pisces.
Feelings are an essential source of information about our true needs — they are a dashboard that tells us what is healthy for us. When we don’t heed that information, we become dependent on others for validation and direction, or lose ourselves in addictions and distractions.
With this New Moon occurring in protective, introverted Cancer, we are invited to surround ourselves with quality and safety; we can expect anything connected to home, family, real estate, or childhood issues to be heightened in our awareness for the next four weeks.
This New Moon highlights the importance of listening to our feelings, focusing on Self-care, healing old wounds from the past, and releasing unhealthy patterns that keep us stuck in the past.
Cancer is all about supporting and protecting life, but many of us are conditioned to ignore our own bodies and our environment — along with our inner life, feeling-bodies, and emotional/spiritual connection to other life forms.
This creates a disconnect not only from our true selves but also from the rest of the world. Many of us tend to put little value on emotional intelligence, but it’s very hard to have meaningful, authentic connections without it — and it begins with self-connection and self-awareness.
Ask yourself: What might I do differently if my feelings were just little children that wanted to be heard? What price might I be paying for denying or suppressing their little voices?
Cancer reminds us that water and life are inseparable. Water corresponds with feelings: both must flow. Stagnant water breeds disease and suppressed emotions can likewise make us ill.
Ask yourself: Could I simply allow myself to feel my feelings without needing to understand them? Without needing to know why I am feeling what I am feeling? Without launching into problem-solving? If nothing else, could I try this out as an experiment, just to see what might transpire?
And here’s a bonus question: What would the healthy mother-archetype do?
The Cancer energy is connected to family and home (this could be a physical or emotional “home”). Given this, a shift with past issues around feeling “at home”, “safe”, or “nurtured”– both internally and in the world — might move to the forefront in the next couple of weeks.
Internally, this is about being more rooted in our physical-emotional bodies, and allowing ourselves to explore and celebrate the mother-archetype both within and without — things like giving and receiving nurturing, caring for ourselves in terms of our emotional and physical state, and so on.
Ask yourself: Am I rooted in fertile ground? Am I thriving? What else do I need to flourish and grow? What has changed for me in the past 3 years in that regard? How does Self-care show up in my life now vs. then?
Now, let’s talk about some of the aspects of this New Moon chart:
The New Moon in Cancer makes a Trine to Neptune in Pisces, an Opposition to Pluto in Capricorn, a Sextile to Uranus in Taurus, and a Square to an exalted Chiron in Aries. So let’s unwrap that…
The Trine to Neptune (currently in its Retrograde motion) supports an inner “flow state” and emotional connection to loved ones; spiritual and creative endeavors are favored with this combo. Our capacity for compassion is quite strong as well, both for ourselves and others, and we are feeling especially intuitive.
Ask yourself: When I tune into myself what do I feel connected to? What if I tune into life itself? What from my past is asking to be released? Where is it time to open myself up fully on an emotional level?
The Opposition to Pluto (currently in its Retrograde motion): we may take an all-or-nothing attitude toward others, this could drive some tension or oppositional behaviors, so as best you can, remain flexible, and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body.
As best as you can, trust what resonates, what rings true, what empowers and connects — rather than what agitates and polarizes.
Ask yourself: What is my motivation for achieving something out there in the world? How about at home? Where might the balance point be between home/family and career/long-term goals?
How might a deep focus on self-care or emotional authenticity serve me at this time? What needs to transform so I can feel more empowered?
It will also help to remain aware of whether we empower ourselves and/or others in our interactions — for example, taking things too personally is not recommended.
Ask yourself: How might a focus on nurturing myself feel empowering to myself and others?
The Sextile to Uranus provides an opportunity to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, physical matters such as finances, or a reinvention of how we connect with “the good things in life”.
Ask yourself: What if the whole Universe was intelligent? What if that included every cell in my body? What knowledge would my body want to share with me? How could I use these new ideas to support my emotional and physical well-being? What feels the most nurturing?
Before the talk about the Square to Chiron, let’s talk about the two exalted planets of this New Moon chart:
Venus in Leo & Chiron in Aries: we can expect to feel their energies more strongly until early August.
With Venus exalted, we are invited to pay even closer attention to what matters to us, our values, likes & dislikes, preferences, as well as how we spend or invest our money, what brings us joy, what doesn’t, and what’s important at this time (and whether we can express it). What or who do we love? What needs to change?
Venus comes to a halt and starts her 6-week Retrograde phase on July 22nd. Chiron comes to a halt and starts its 5-month Retrograde phase less than 12 hours later, on July 23rd.
We will cover Venus’ Retrograde phase in courageously heart-centered & self-expressed Leo in much more detail on Aug. 2nd, 2023 at 5pm EDT in our next Forecasting Forum. If you would like to know how the planet of (self-) love, relationships, and money matters is impacting you personally, feel free to join us.
We will look at our own birth charts, and I will take you through this process step by step, so you can understand the impact on your own life, even if you are not a seasoned Astrologer.
There will be an Early Bird registration fee for everyone who jumps in fast. That reduced fee is available until July 31st! (A 15% reduction from the regular fee). After July 31st the price goes up.
Now, let’s talk about the exalted Chiron in Aries: we are invited to pay even closer attention to the healing of the wounded masculine archetype within us — how we handle anger, impatience, our desire to dominate, be independent or “show our strength”, etc. (for example, perhaps it doesn’t feel ok to be that way, maybe even the thought brings up shame, and so on…)
Now, let’s talk about the New Moon’s Square to Chiron: This asks us to stretch ourselves. Our past conditioning and wounded sense of Self may be out of harmony; we are invited to make adjustments and, as best as we can, find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.
Ask yourself: What if I gave myself permission to make space both for healing around my self-identity (in other words, for recognizing the limitations around my persona), and for taking care of home or family issues?
As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional, without seeing yourself as weak or “less than”. It is perfectly ok to be yourself, and that may involve feeling insecure once in a while — so give compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…
Ask yourself: Where does the wounded masculine cry out for my compassionate awareness (or even my love)? What if I gave it also to those who have not been able to model masculine energies in an “acceptable” way? What if I extended that even to myself, if and when I fall into that category? Even if I get triggered?
Remember: Anger can be a reaction to a boundary violation, and/or a cover for another emotion — often fear, sadness, or shame.
For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, I recommend watching: “Chiron in Aries — Healing the Wounded Masculine”
Mercury’s Trine to Chiron in Aries gives us some support — it makes is easier for us to connect with others, socialize, and take a compassionate approach toward ourselves and others, especially when it comes to our identity, personal goals, and passions.
We feel more confident to connect and communicate without seeing ourselves as weak or “less than”. We feel perfectly ok to be ourselves, and that may involve feeling insecure.
Ask yourself: Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if I talked about my flaws, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities? How might this support my own healing process? Someone else’s?
Mercury also squares Jupiter in Taurus. With this aspect, we may have to learn about our assumptions, our thinking processes and our social conditioning.
“Listening” might not be our strong suit at this time: we may want to share our personal thoughts and joy without limitations, and are thus inclined to exaggeration, often unintended.
Ask yourself: What if honoring my physical reality, helped me listen to myself 5% more? What might become possible with growing my own personal resources if I were 5% more aware of the assumptions I am making at any given moment? Or of my expectations? Am I expecting too much of myself? Too little?
Venus in Leo is also involved in a Yod aspect with Neptune & Pluto. A Yod consists of two Quincunxes — aspects that signal inner discomfort and the need for some adjustments.
Both Quincunxes are pointing towards Venus in Leo, making Venus the Focus of this aspect, so the adjustments in question must be made so we can value ourselves, and connect from an authentic, heart-felt place, even if it feels uncomfortable.
For the next 28 days, ask yourself: What do I feel when I honor my heart? What do I need to express that is dear to my heart — even when fear is present? Even when I want to turn inwards or escape life? Even when it feels uncomfortable to do so?
How can I be courageous in my self-expression without dominating others? Could I permit myself to get in touch with my inner child — and allow myself to have some fun?
Could I refrain from getting attached to things going “my way”? What if “pride” was able to take a back seat? What if I focused on gratitude, giving compliments, connecting to my inner joy, and being playful instead?
Another thing worth mentioning with this New Moon chart: the Moon Nodes change signs only 90 minutes after the New Moon becomes exact (into Aries-Libra).
We covered this 18-month journey in our last Forecasting Forum, and you can get access to this 115-minute webinar, right here, right now, normally it’s $37.00, but for the next seven days (until July 22nd), it is available for the special price of only $33!
I highly recommend watching this webinar! It is super informative! It will help you understand the lessons and meaning behind the transiting Moon Nodes in Aries-Libra and your individual journey in connection with relationships & self-identity over the next 18 months!
The ongoing Moon Nodes’ Square to Pluto in Capricorn indicates that we are at a turning point — individually and collectively speaking! This is a huge opportunity to release past patterns that we’ve been carrying for decades — including those that span generations.
We may feel an obsession (or tremendous passion) for career achievements and economic autonomy — but also out of control or fearful about our economic future.
Ask yourself: What am I most scared about regarding my standing in society or my long-term achievements? Do I have concerns about authority figures? My own authority in the world?
Where do I feel “out of control”? Where am I trying too hard to self-protect or control an outcome? What if I surrendered all my fears and trusted the divine power within?
Am I ready for some profound changes? Where am I looking to create more empowerment in my life? What about the lives of others? What needs to happen so I can shift my current situation? What role does “trust” play in all of this? Am I allowing myself to hear the deepest calling of my Soul?
Pluto always invites us to integrate the opposite sign it’s in for balance and true empowerment. While in Capricorn, that balance comes from nurturing, protective, introverted, home & family-oriented Cancer.
We are invited to empower ourselves at home, with loved ones, and by focusing on self-care and whatever feels nurturing to our inner baby.
This is an invitation to balance our obsessions around an empowered career with our focus on getting plenty of rest, healthy nourishment, and affection.
Ask yourself: What would a powerful approach to self-care look like at home? With family? Elsewhere?
How might nurturing myself support my self-connection? My connection to others? The world at large? How might it support my career ambitions? What if self-care was the first step toward meaningful achievement?
The term “self-soothing” resonates beautifully here. Ask yourself: What does self-soothing mean to me? What would that look like? How could I nurture myself to the point that I am at once connected to others and yet completely independent?
Mars — the ruler of Aries, currently moving through Virgo — opposes Saturn in Pisces (currently in its Retrograde motion). We are invited to live in moderation now — but this may be frustrating, as we face tests or trials that remind us that pushing too hard or fast doesn’t always get us the results we want. It’s time to slow down a little and catch our breath.
Ask yourself: What would it look like if I took things one step at a time? What is the reality of a situation that I find myself in? Does it serve me, in the long run, to try and figure it all out in advance? To have all the answers? To do it all perfectly? What emotional and spiritual toll might that take on me?
To sum it all up: this New Moon reminds us that to be a “successful human being” we must take really good care of our emotional and physical well-being.
If we can allow the inner masculine (taking action, being assertive, etc.) to protect and co-create with the feminine (allowing for feelings to move through, receiving, etc.), we will go further than we can imagine. It is very important to allow ourselves extra time to rest, release, and recalibrate.
Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn — in their retrograde motion — provide inner emphasis for clearing out any old trauma and conditioning from our childhood, past lives, and ancestral patterning.
For the next four weeks, as best as you can, allow yourself to release (Neptune) & transform (Pluto). The more you do, the deeper will go your sense of inner peace, wholeness, and creative power.
Ask yourself: Could I allow myself to go deeper and tap into my “true inner power” (the one that allows me to keep my heart open)? One that allows me to see that all things — the good, the bad, and the ugly — ultimately are part of the creative process, a part of my personal evolution.
Now more than ever, the world actually needs people that know how to nurture themselves, people who honor their feeling-body, who have a healthy center, and who follow their inner compass! Ask yourself: Would I rather feel safe or grow as an individual?
Also feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be any time between 2:32pm and 11:06pm (on Monday, July 17th); and then again, 93 minutes later, between 12:39am (on Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, July 18th) and 2:32pm (on Wednesday, July 19th).

On June 18th at 12:37am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 27 degrees of Gemini. I recommend you also watch my New Moon video on the subject.
One major thing to note in this New Moon chart is that Pluto has moved back into Capricorn, since the last Full Moon and does now answer again to Saturn (Saturn rules Capricorn). We also have Neptune & Saturn (both of them in Pisces) in their Station phases — and therefore exalted.
Something is therefore “in our face” in regards to those energies, demanding our attention and awareness; I will talk more about all of this below, but first, let’s look at the Gemini influence of this New Moon and its aspects:
Gemini is the archetype of curiosity, communication in all its forms, and mental connections — it represents the development of language and intelligence, as well as our ability to adapt and relate to our immediate environment.
This is a “busy” energy focused on collecting information. We are invited to look at our mental programming and conditioned mind to see what needs to go — and what new thought structures we might want to engage with.
The New Moon in Gemini squares an exalted Neptune in Pisces. With any Square we are invited to stretch and grow. It challenges us to get out of our comfort zone and to work through something that requires a creative approach. We are asked to make changes that may not necessarily come naturally but that are required if we want to grow and move to the next level of our journey.
In this case, our comfort zone is the mind (Gemini) and our need to be mentally busy and engaged. The challenge here is finding a way to trust our intuition (Pisces) and turn inwards for answers and direction.
Ask yourself: What might be possible if I allowed myself to shift from only paying attention to my conditioned mind, to getting present in the here and now and feeling into the energy and truth of who I am?
Is it possible that what I understand with the mind is very different from what I comprehend with the heart? And if that is so, could I trust my heart 5% more than I have done previously? Could I allow myself to slow down and be in the knowing that all is well, all of the time?
Keep in mind that Neptune is exalted (stationing) at the time of the New Moon (until July 14th), and its energy is thus louder; we may not only feel more…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly; this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo, the Moon rules Cancer)
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So, this month, any time between 12:37am and 2:24am (on June 18th) would be best, then again from 6:58am (on June 18th) until 12:37am (on June 20th) — please note that all times are given in the Eastern Daylight Timezone — the timezone New York City occupies. If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter, as I post reminders on Sunday, June 18th and Monday, June 19th to let you know when it is time to set your intentions.

On May 19th, at 11:53am EDT, the New Moon becomes exact in 28.5 degrees of Taurus. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle; it also marks the end of Eclipse Season! Click here to watch my video on the subject.
As best as you can, get really quiet, and see if you are getting any new messages or ideas. If you are, harvest them, and fold them into any intentions you set for the new Moon cycle — I will talk about this process later in the forecast, and I’ll even give you the very best and most potent times for doing so…

This New Moon sextiles Neptune in Pisces, Mars in Cancer, conjuncts Uranus in Taurus, and trines a retrograde Pluto in 0º of Aquarius.
Mercury in Taurus & Mars in Cancer are both exalted at the time of this New Moon (for different reasons), the Moon and Venus are in a mutual reception to each other, and we have a T-Square/GrandCross with Jupiter in Taurus as the Focal Point.
So, as you can see, lots going on in this New Moon chart, collectively painting a complex picture with a focus on the feminine, receptive energies. Nine out of eleven planets are in feminine signs.
Before we go into all of these aspects in more detail, however, let’s first talk about the sign of Taurus. With 6 planets/points (Jupiter, North Node, Mercury, Uranus, the Sun & the Moon) in Taurus, we are feeling a strong need to focus on this earthy sign for the next 28 days:
Steady, peaceful Taurus places more focus on our interactions with the physical world — you could say that we seek a healthier relationship with “matter”, one in which we are neither too attached, nor too disconnected from things on the physical plane — for example, our bodies, resources (such as money), and the planet we co-inhabit.
We are powerfully reminded to take the time to honor the only planet we can currently live on — The Earth — and honor its resources and beauty.
In much the same spirit, we are invited also to honor ourselves, our bodies, and our talents. This is a good time for reevaluating our relationship with money and possessions, and for discovering what truly makes us happy and fulfilled, so check in with yourself: What came to mind when you read or heard this?
Let’s talk about some of the aspects in this New Moon chart: The New Moon in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces:
Taurus ultimately seeks to honor spirit in form, recognizing the physical world as an expression of the divine, and the body as a sacred vehicle.
Pisces understands the paradox between physical and spiritual — between matter and energy. This is therefore an opportunity to join our need for material comfort and enjoyment of life to a gentler and more intuitive approach.
Ask yourself: How might…

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 26-29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius, or 0-1 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, or Pisces? The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
This month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would therefore be between 11:53am on May 19th and 11:53am on May 21st. The only exception would be a 1-hour period on Friday afternoon, May 19th — there will be a brief Moon VoC between 1:51pm and 2:48pm. All of the above times are given in US East Coast time.

by Sonja Francis | Apr 13, 2023 | Astrological Forecasts, Astrology Articles, New Moon, Solar Eclipse
On April 19th/20th, at 12:13am EDT, a powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse becomes exact in an exalted degree of Aries — 29 degrees and 50 minutes! That’s only 10 minutes shy of 0 degrees of Taurus. This launches a new Moon and Eclipse cycle.
This is a Hybrid Solar Eclipse which is not observable from the U.S., but will be visible from western Australia, East Timor, and Eastern Indonesia.
Hybrid Solar Eclipses shift from “Total” to “Annular” as the Moon’s shadow races over the Earth. According to Space.com, these Eclipses are quite rare, occurring just a few times every century.
Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that occur approximately every six months — this is the first in 2023 and the first Solar Eclipse in Aries (in this particular Eclipse cycle that will be in effect until January 2025). You may also want to watch my Solar Eclipse video.
During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon momentarily interrupts the normal flow of Solar Radiation, destabilizing existing energy configurations and reorganizing consciousness to a higher level. Solar Eclipses indicate the beginning of a new experience, project, or cycle.
Eclipses usually come in pairs (Solar and Lunar), and “Eclipse seasons” start with the Lunation that precedes the first Eclipse and ends with the Lunation that follows the last Eclipse.
This Eclipse season began on April 6th, when the Full Moon in Libra became exact. It will end 14 days after the Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio that follows this Solar Eclipse with the New Moon in Taurus (in other words, by May 19th).
If you want to know how Pluto’s current journey and Eclipse Season might impact you personally, feel free to click here and get my latest webinar: “Pluto in Aquarius & Eclipse Season“
While Eclipse season is underway, allow for new templates to download, stay centered, and do your best to ground from within — try using conscious breathing and conscious flexibility — and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional and mental body. And remember, this will only last for a while: on May 19th, the downloads are complete.
Eclipses are a time for clarifying and affirming our highest path. We are bound to experience a release and recalibration of some sort — “old” codes will get deleted and new ones downloaded — and for this Eclipse, this is especially true in connection with our relationship to our human identity and our sense of agency in the world — in other words, how capable we feel to get things done.
This begins with our role in our interactions with others, whether we are capable of being direct with others about our personal goals and passions, and whether we can inspire others to follow our example. This helps us be more aware of how passionate we are about life or what’s missing to get us back on track with our passion-projects.
The Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes during an Eclipse, alternating between North and South Node Eclipses, emphasizing the evolutionary upgrades available to us during such times.
This is the first North Node Solar Eclipse in Aries since 2004. The Moon Nodes will move into the Aries-Libra polarity on July 17th, 2023, and land on the Solar Eclipse degree. So it is safe to say that something will happen around July 18th that will resonate back to what began around April 20th…to read the whole Solar Eclipse article and get access to all of the Coaching questions, click here.
North Node Eclipses help us move towards a new exploration of an energy that promotes our Soul’s evolution. They ask us to focus on the energies of the sign involved in the Eclipse (Aries, in this case) and work with the lighter/higher frequencies of those energies as much as possible. They highlight our ability for individual and collective growth and evolution.
Eclipses are crossroads or turning points along our Soul’s Journey. They are often marked by events or situations that signify a critical shift in our lives, nudging us to either change and grow or face more significant difficulties at the next turning point.
In this case, the next turning point will be on July 22nd — when the Sun in a late degree of Cancer squares this month’s Solar Eclipse degree.
Solar Eclipses, in particular, often correspond to significant endings and beginnings. They occur close to the same degree every 19 years, and the last time we had a Solar Eclipse in this particular degree and sign was on April 19th, 2004.
We will likely experience a resonance between now and that time — “resonance”, not repetition — so think back to the Spring of 2004 and ask yourself: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important to me back then? If I were to take those priorities to the next level, where would that next level find me?
If you’re looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest taking a look at your Natal Chart — the House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life is the readiest to embrace a healthy sense of Self and rise to a new level of consciousness around independence and forging your path.
Solar Eclipses are also a good time to go within and seed anything we would like to learn over the next six months — we’ll dig into this in more detail towards the end of this article when we talk about setting Solar Eclipse Intentions. Setting Intentions for Solar Eclipses differs from a regular New Moon! So stay tuned!
Since this Eclipse is the second of two New Moons in a row in the same sign within the last 30 days (called a Black Moon), we are getting an extra dose of our inner warrior energy.
The very last degree (or more specifically, the last 10 minutes) of a sign is also quite potent and tells us that we are invited to deepen that which got initiated — at the time of the Super New Moon on March 21st — over the next six months.
Here are some things to note in this New Moon/Solar Eclipse chart:
- We have two planets in an exalted state: Mercury in Taurus starts its Retrograde phase the day after the Eclipse becomes exact, and Pluto in Aquarius is also exalted, preparing to come to a halt and going retrograde on May 1st.
- One planet conjuncts the Eclipse (Jupiter in Aries)
- One planet squares the Eclipse (an exalted Pluto) —
- Jupiter and Pluto are both non-personal planets (and thus impact the collective as well as the individual)
- Mars, the ruler of Aries, currently in Cancer, squares Chiron in Aries and sextiles Mercury in Taurus
Before we go any further, let’s first talk about the sign of Aries: This Solar Eclipse in pioneering, fast-paced Aries focuses more on…

Because Eclipses are so powerful, they require a bigger orb than a regular Full or New Moon. I usually use a 5º orb instead of 2º… so since this Solar Eclipse takes place in 29º50‘ of Aries:
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 24-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn, or 0-5 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly; this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo, the Moon rules Cancer)
Setting Intentions for a Solar Eclipse is a little different from the regular monthly New Moon process — after all, we are setting them for the whole 6-month Eclipse cycle rather than just the next 28 days.
Solar Eclipse Intentions are best done 48 hours after the Eclipse becomes exact. This is because we are downloading new templates at the time of an Eclipse, and the energies are pretty intense, so we want to wait until it all settles down a little before setting our intentions — that said, we do not want to set them during a Moon void of course.
Given all this, here are the best and most potent times to set your Intentions for this Solar Eclipse: Between 6:11am, on April 22nd, and 12:13am, on April 23/24th. Note that all times above are given in US Eastern Time — i.e., the New York time zone.
Set powerful intentions — remember, they cover the next six months — and if possible, align them with the Aries energy!
If you live in a timezone other than EDT and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and following me on Twitter, as I post reminders on those platforms when it’s time to set your intentions.

On March 21st, at 1:23pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 0º50’ minutes of Aries. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Click here to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
Before we get started, just a quick reminder: If you would like to have a better relationship with yourself and with others… On April 5th at 7:30pm EDT, we will have another 2-hour online Mini-Retreat: “Leap forward into Love — A Taste of Venus”.
This event is not being recorded, as it is very interactive and experiential, so we decided to make it live participation only!
If you were not able to join us in February for our last event, please mark the date for April in your calendar! ==> You can also register right now while the Early Registration fee is still available. I promise you won’t regret this!
This New Moon is unique in several ways: firstly, it is another SuperMoon (the fourth of four Super New Moons in a row). This means greater awareness of the issues connected to this particular New Moon energy.
Secondly, it is the first of two New Moons in a row in the same sign. The next Lunar cycle begins on April 20th — it will also be a New Moon in Aries and the first North Node Solar Eclipse in this fiery sign (it’s been 19 years since we had one of those — to be precise, the last one was in April 2004).
Another essential thing to note about this New Moon is the early degree it’s in. This Super New Moon occurs less than 24 hours after the Spring or Vernal Equinox — when the Sun moves into 0 degrees of Aries (an exalted degree). The New Moon becomes exact before it reaches 1 degree of Aries.
A New Moon in a cardinal sign at such a potent degree has lots of fire and initiation energy connected to it. Therefore anything we launch in the next two weeks has the chance to get off to a great start. That said, I recommend doing so before we enter Eclipse Season on April 6th, and certainly before April 10th, when we reach the 10-day mark before the Solar Eclipse becomes exact.
This New Moon chart has a Neptune/Sun/Moon/Mercury alignment in Pisces/Aries, followed by a Chiron-Jupiter alignment in Aries; in other words, we have one planet in Pisces, four planets, and one asteroid in Aries. This Line-up in Aries heightens the need for something new and for taking inspired actions.
Since Chiron, the Wounded Healer, is part of this Line-up, we are being asked to balance our approach to life by integrating the divine feminine and uplifting the sacred masculine. We are being asked to…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-3 degrees of either Aries, Libra, Capricorn, Cancer, or 29 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some intentions for this month’s Moon cycle — this process is potent with the New Moon in Aries — and as always, this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact (and definitely not during a Moon void of course).
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions will be between 1:23pm on March 21st and 1:13pm on March 23rd (as always, all times are EDT- New York time). For more info on setting New Moon Intentions, click here.

On Feb. 20th, at 2:06am EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 1.5 degrees of Pisces, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle.

New Moons mark the ending and beginning of a monthly cycle and are therefore an optimal time to pause, reflect, and set new Intentions for the next 28 days.
This New Moon is another SuperMoon (the third of four Super New Moons in a row). These occur when the Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth (at the time of a New or Full Moon) and are more powerful. This means greater awareness of the issues connected to the particular New Moon energy in question.
Since this one occurs in Pisces, this Super New Moon invites us to connect with our inner divinity and with our ability to receive, trust our intuition, and contribute to life from a heart-centered and empathic place.
This New Moon chart has four planets in Pisces — that includes the Sun, the Moon, Neptune, and Venus; Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, is closely aligned with Venus. Venus and Pluto are both in 29º of their signs, which is an exalted degree!
The New Moon trines the South Node in Scorpio, making it easier for us to release traumas from the past and allow ourselves to feel whatever needs to be felt.
Mercury in Aquarius is the planet most aspected in this Super New Moon chart. It trines Mars in Gemini, sextiles Chiron in Aries, and squares Uranus in Taurus. All of this will bring an opportunity for greater healing, individually and collectively speaking. I will go into all of this in more detail in a moment, but first, let’s talk about the Pisces-energy:
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and thus connects us to our spiritual journey, as it represents a reunion with Source/God/the Universe. At its highest vibration, Pisces…

On Jan. 21st at 3:53pm EST, a powerful New Moon in 1.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact; this is the beginning of a new Moon cycle. I also recommend you watch my video on the subject.
This New Moon is another SuperMoon (the second of four Super New Moons in a row). These occur when the Moon becomes either Full or New at its closest distance to the Earth and are more powerful. They generate greater gravitational and electromagnetic forces and therefore increased effects on our physical, mental, and emotional bodies, leading to significant shifts in consciousness.
Since this one occurs in Aquarius, this Super New Moon invites us to go out there and connect with “our people”– with a tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our values and our need for stability and comfort, a connection that serves a larger vision for our financial future and the future of our planet etc.
We have three exalted planets in this Super New Moon chart:
- Mercury (the planet of communication & how we process information)
- Mars (the planet of passion & going after our goals)
- Uranus (the planet of breakthroughs and innovation)
Mars in Gemini & Mercury in Capricorn are no longer in their Retrograde phases at the time of the New Moon, but they are still moving slower than usual, trying to catch up to their regular speed after coming to a halt on Jan. 12th and 18th. More about that in a little bit…
Uranus is at its most exalted, as it is coming to a halt only 26 hours after the New Moon becomes exact, ending its 5-months Retrograde phase in 15º of Taurus. More about this below as well…
With all this, we are being asked to be extra-mindful about connecting to our body, our finances, and the planet in an innovative and unique way; we are also being asked to be extra mindful about how we share and communicate, and what our inner dialog reveals about ourselves and where we are at.
The good news: from January 23rd to April 21st, all planets will be in forward motion. This indicates an accelerated time of manifestation for most of us — especially connected to new projects or ideas.
Ask yourself: What in my life is asking for accelerated progress? What could I do if I had the support of the Universe?
Let’s first talk a little bit about Aquarius and what this energy represents before jumping into the aspects of this Super New Moon chart:
The highest vibration of Aquarius represents…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, or 29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Finally, let’s talk “New Moon Intentions” 🙂 The New Moon is the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and not during a Moon void of course phase.
That means that this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 3:53pm on Jan. 21st and 5:19am on Jan. 23rd, and then again, from 12:36pm until 3:53pm, also on Jan. 23rd -(New York Time/US Eastern Time)

Now, let’s talk about the New Moon:
New Moons are good times to reflect on our lives and set new intentions. This is an excellent time to go within and plant a seed for anything we would like to accomplish over the next 28 days and beyond.
Given it takes place less than 48 hours after the Winter Solstice, this New Moon is a significant time to set Intentions, not just for the next 28 days but also for this Winter season. This is because the Solstices are important turning points that take place twice a year: They are energetic gateways for the summer or winter season.
This New Moon is also a SuperMoon. These occur when the Moon becomes either Full or New at its closest distance to the Earth and are more powerful. They generate greater gravitational and electromagnetic forces and therefore increased effects on our physical, mental, and emotional bodies, leading to significant shifts in consciousness.
Since it occurs in Capricorn, this Super New Moon directs us to investigate our relationship with authority, not just “authority” in the external sense, but also our “inner authority”. The next section of this forecast will dig into this in more detail — you may also want to watch my New Moon video 🙂
The most prominent themes of this Super New Moon are:
- Chiron (the wounded Healer) stations direct less than an hour before the New Moon becomes exact, therefore highly exalted! And making several aspects to other planets in this New Moon chart, bringing our attention to our healing processes.
- The New Moon makes a Square to Jupiter, which moves back into Aries on Dec. 20th, asking us to stretch and grow.
- Mercury is also exalted in this New Moon chart (in its pre-Shadow phase and stationing) and making several noteworthy aspects, bringing our attention to being responsible and realistic with our words and thoughts. Practicing effective, authentic, mature, and empowering communication is helpful.
- And last but not least, there is a Venus-Uranus Trine that brings newness into our relationships — and possibly also into our financial future.
The highest vibration of Capricorn is self-mastery: the development of responsibility, resourcefulness, reliability, setting realistic goals and healthy boundaries. So the next 28 days are perfect for working on these areas.
This is the last New Moon of 2022, and since Capricorn represents the quest for self-mastery on the physical plane, some helpful questions you can ask yourself include…

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 0-4 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, Libra, or 29 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for the month’s Moon cycle — the perfect time is after the New Moon becomes exact (but not during a Moon void of course).
So this month, there are two best and most potent times to set intentions — the first would be any time between 5:17am on Friday, Dec. 23rd, and 10:11pm on Saturday late evening, Dec. 24th — and the second would be between 2:14am and 5:17am on Sunday morning (Dec. 25th) (EST/New York time).
If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

On Nov. 23rd at 5:57pm EST, the New Moon in 1.5 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. This New Moon also signifies the end of Eclipse Season (which started on Oct. 15th). We have received our consciousness upgrades and can now move forward with any intentions we set in late October (at the time of the Solar Eclipse in Scorpio).
With the New Moon in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, we are being asked to go beyond our day-to-day knowledge and look for a larger perspective. Also, feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
Before we dive in I just wanted to mention briefly 2 events that may be of interest to you:
1) I will be joining the lovely Primavera Salva from @transform_with_love for a NEW MOON Ritual & Collaboration on Monday, Nov. 21st at 7:30pm EST!
This special event will be an opportunity to let go of the heaviness of the Scorpio-energies (within and around us) and anything that came up during Eclipse Season, and at the same time prepare us for the New Moon in Sagittarius.
The event is by donation (pay what you can) — all proceeds will go to “God’s Love We Deliver”, and every $20 donation will provide a holiday meal for someone in need ==> To save yourself a spot, and join us, click here
2) I am also excited to share that I got invited to join 11 other Astrologers for a weekend conference at the beginning of December. It’s the 6th installment of the “Breaking Down the Borders” online Astrology Conference, scheduled for December 2nd-4th. And I will be giving a talk on Chiron in Aries, called: Healing the Wounded Masculine on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 2pm EST.
Please join us; it’s going to be a fantastic weekend! ==> Click here for more info and to register for FREE
Back to the New Moon: New Moons are a great time to catch our breath; to hit the pause button on our life, and to set some intentions for the new Lunar cycle.
Lots to consider with this New Moon chart:
- This New Moon conjuncts/aligns with Venus & Mercury ==> 4 planets in Sagittarius
- Jupiter (the ruler of Sagittarius) is highly exalted, as it comes to a halt only 5 minutes after the New Moon becomes exact (changing directions)
- Jupiter, currently in a late degree of Pisces, trines the New Moon, in an early degree of Sagittarius
- Jupiter also sextiles Pluto in Capricorn
- The highly exalted Jupiter aligns with Neptune in Pisces
- Neptune is also exalted (stationing), preparing to come to a halt on Dec. 3rd
- Neptune & Jupiter in Pisces still square Mars in Gemini
- Venus & Mercury in Sagittarius trine Chiron in Aries
More about all that in a moment, but first, let’s look at the Sun/Moon/Venus/Mercury alignment in Sagittarius:
Sagittarius, urges us to examine our beliefs and their impact on our lives. It reminds us that all truths are relative, and that what matters most is a whole-hearted approach.
Ask yourself: Do my beliefs and attitudes enrich my life? Make me kinder? More accessible to my heart-energies? What beliefs, perspectives or attitudes are asking to be released at this time? Where am I invited to take a leap of faith?
With Mercury involved we are invited to remember that we are the editors of our own experience. We interpret our reality through a multitude of filters, determined by our childhood conditioning, education, religion, culture, gender, and nationality. Ask yourself…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, Pisces, or 29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. The best time to set intentions is soon after the New Moon becomes exact — as long as it’s not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be any time between 5:57pm Wednesday evening (Nov. 23rd) until 2:22pm Friday (Nov. 25th); and then again from 4:18pm until 5:57pm, also on Friday (Nov. 25th). (EST- New York time)
Note, however, that there is a Moon void of course on Nov. 25th — it runs from 2:22pm EST until 4:18pm EST. Don’t set your intentions during those 116 minutes — instead, allow intuition to surface possible intentions while you wait. For more info on setting New Moon Intentions, click here
If you live outside the EST timezone (i.e. US East Coast time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on Twitter; I will be posting reminders to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉

Oct. 25th, at 6:49am EDT, the New Moon (and Solar Eclipse) becomes exact in 2 degrees of Scorpio — you may also want to watch my Solar Eclipse video.
Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that take place approximately every 6 months — this is the second Solar Eclipse in 2022 (in this particular Eclipse cycle that will be in effect until July 2023). The first Solar Eclipse of 2022 took place in Taurus on April 30th.
Think back to early May and see what seeds got planted in your life in connection with the last Solar Eclipse. Did you set Solar Eclipse Intentions in early May? Did something end or begin at that time? What have you discovered about your sense of self-worth and value in the world?
Eclipses usually come in pairs (Solar and Lunar), and “Eclipse seasons” start approximately 10 days before the first Eclipse of the pair, and continue through the second.
While this Eclipse is partial and only visible from Europe, Western Siberia, Central, Western, & South Asia, and the NE of Africa, its transformative effects are global.
We also addressed Eclipse Season and the Solar Eclipse in Scorpio in more detail in a special talk called “The Next Phase of Your Evolution — How to Navigate Eclipse Season”. If you missed this Special Event ==> click here to get this fabulous 2-hour webinar
A couple of things to note for this Solar Eclipse chart: we have 4 Quincunxes; these invite us to make some inner adjustments to address internal discomfort. One of those four Quincunxes is inviting us to pay closer attention to our health — the Quincunx between Mars in Gemini and Pluto in Capricorn.
Pluto and Mars are also involved in two Squares, and Saturn is still in a tight Square with Uranus. Squares are 90º aspects that mark a turn we must take if we are to make progress; they ask us to stretch and grow beyond who we used to be.
Mars and Saturn are both exalted in this Solar Eclipse chart, due to their Station phases — Mars is preparing to go Retrograde (on Oct. 30th) and Saturn just ended its 4.5-month Retrograde phase (that began on June 4th).
And last but not least, Venus is closely aligned with the Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, bringing our desire for deeper connections to the fore.
These are the major themes of this Solar Eclipse chart and we will address them in more detail in a moment. First, let’s talk a bit about Eclipses:
During a Solar Eclipse, the Moon momentarily interrupts the normal flow of Solar Radiation, destabilizing existing configurations of energy, and reorganizing consciousness to a higher level. Solar Eclipses indicate the beginning of a new experience, project, or cycle.
This particular Eclipse season started on Oct. 15th, 10 days before the Solar Eclipse becomes exact, and it will end 14 days after the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus that follows this Solar Eclipse (in other words, by Nov. 23rd, 2022).
While Eclipse season is underway, allow for new templates to download, stay centered, and do your best to ground from within — try using conscious breathing and conscious mental flexibility — and best of all, see if you can move to the “observer position” when it comes to the emotional and mental body.
And remember, this won’t last forever: on Nov. 23rd, the downloads are complete 😉
Eclipses are times of uncertainty, Uranian in nature, so anything could happen between now and Nov. 23rd. It is important to remember that Eclipses open a door to the next level of our Soul’s evolution.
As best as you can, don’t jump the gun for the next 5.5 weeks — if you feel compelled to do something, do your best to simply observe the urge. The exception would be something that just happens organically, but if you are ambivalent about a possible action, better to hold off until Eclipse Season ends on Nov. 23rd.
Eclipses are a time for clarifying and affirming our highest path. We are bound to experience a release and recalibration of some sort — “old” programs will get deleted and new ones downloaded — and with this Eclipse this will be in connection with old traumas, sexual/intimate relations, or emotionally authentic connections.
Solar Eclipses are a good time to go within, to seed anything we would like to redefine or release over the next 6 months — we’ll dig into this in more detail towards the end of this article, when we talk about setting Solar Eclipse Intentions.
The Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes during an Eclipse, alternating between North and South Node Eclipses, emphasizing the evolutionary upgrades that are available to us during such times.
This is the first South Node Solar Eclipse in Scorpio since the Moon Nodes moved into the Taurus-Scorpio polarity on January 18th, 2022. South Node Eclipses ask us to…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-7 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, or 28-29º of Libra, Aries, Cancer or Capricorn? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Setting Intentions for a Solar Eclipse is a little different from the regular monthly New Moon process — after all, we are setting them for the whole 6-month Eclipse cycle, rather than just the next 28 days.
The best and most potent times to set your Intentions for this Solar Eclipse is between 6:55am (on Oct. 27th) and 6:49am (on Oct. 29th) — (in US Eastern Daylight Savings Time — i.e. the New York time zone).
Set powerful intentions — again, they cover the next six months — and if possible, align them with the Scorpio energy!
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

On Sept. 25th at 5:55pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 3 degrees of Libra, beginning a new Moon cycle. New Moons are optimal times to set new intentions — to pause and reflect on where we are and would like to be. They are introverted periods when we go within to learn what we wish to align ourselves with for the next 28 days; more about the best and most potent time to set New Moon Intentions towards the end of this article.
With this New Moon in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, this will likely be win-win situations, fair exchanges, balance, and harmony (within our relationships and with our general environment). Watch my New Moon video to learn more about this.
Even though we have a planetary line-up of four planets known as a Stellium in this New Moon chart, only two of them are in Libra (the Sun & the Moon); the other two are Venus (ruler of Libra) & Mercury (ruler of Virgo), and they are in a late degree of Virgo, very close to the New Moon energies in Libra. A Stellium typically sees the planets involved influence each other.
A Venus-Mercury-Moon-Sun-Stellium indicates that we are invited to take a closer look at our relationship to the mind-energy: How are we using our minds, and how does it serve us or others? How does our analytical mind influence our mood or responses to other people?
What are we aware of in our one-on-one relationships (business or personal) that needs to improve? Which of our relationships are healthy? Which ones aren’t? How can we be of service to others in a way that helps them improve something in their lives?
Another important aspect of this New Moon chart is an exalted Pluto in Capricorn that starts its Station phase only a day before the New Moon becomes exact, and that will come to a complete halt on Oct. 8th — and of course, we also have Mercury still in its Retrograde phase until Oct. 2nd. It will start to slow down (station) on Sept. 27th at 25º of Virgo.
Once these two planets end their Retrograde phases and “go direct”, we can move forward in the areas of our lives that have been subjected to self-examination over their retrogrades (Mercury: Sept. 9th – Oct. 2nd, Pluto: April 28th – Oct. 8th).
For a more in-depth interpretation of your own chart, in connection with Pluto’s Station Direct phase in Capricorn, join us live for the Forecasting Forum on Oct. 8th, or get the mp4-video presentation of the live event. Either way, register here now (unless you are already a Star Member — in that case, you are automatically registered and will receive the link to join live on Oct. 7th and the recording of the live event on Oct. 8th).
We will also discuss the upcoming Eclipse season (starting on Oct. 15th), Mars’ Retrograde phase in Gemini (Oct. 30th until Jan. 12th, 2023) & Saturn’s Station Direct phase in Aquarius (Oct. 23rd) in our next Forecasting Forum…again, click here to register if this is of interest to you.
But first, let’s talk about the New Moon — and specifically, the Libra component of this New Moon chart:
All relationships begin with our relationship to ourselves — everything “out there” is a reflection of “in here”… Ideally speaking, interacting with another person is a co-creative, equal exchange — we must be centered within ourselves, yet also…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this Super New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. On Aug. 27th at 4:17am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 4 degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. We start to feel the effects of this New Moon the moment the Moon enters Virgo on Friday evening (Aug. 26th). Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
Before we jump in, I just want to say that I have a big announcement to make, so please stay tuned until the end, or skip to the part of the article, right before I talk about setting Intentions!
This New Moon makes a strong Square to Mars in Gemini. This creates some challenges. Mars will be in this fidgety sign for a total of 7 months, due to its Retrograde phase in late October. The Square will only last until Sept. 2nd, however since it is part of this New Moon chart we can feel its impact for the next 28 days (until Sept. 25th).
The good news is that Mercury (the ruler of Virgo) makes a Trine (a supportive, harmonious aspect) to Mars in Gemini, and Jupiter in Aries, makes a Sextile (an opportune aspect) to Mars in Gemini in this New Moon chart, so it’s not all bad news 😉
I will talk more about all of this in connection with the planetary aspects of this New Moon chart, but first let’s look at the Virgo energy of this New Moon:
Virgo provides an opportunity to learn about being of service — and what it might mean to strengthen our focus on improving our daily routines — getting organized, for example — and taking care of health matters.
This New Moon cycle will thus be a great time to begin new projects that demand attention to detail, list-making, and taking pride in “small” accomplishments. We might start a new health regimen, perhaps by paying close attention to our diet; we could also set up specific routines that help us manage our lives in constructive and mindful ways.
This cycle is all about handling the nitty-gritty details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion, so we can free our minds of clutter. Where could you use more open space?
Things to watch out for: sweating the details, worrying, and being extra-critical of ourselves and others when something doesn’t get done “right”.
A great way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 2-6 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
And here is the announcement! With the current Moon Nodes in Taurus/Scorpio, we are invited to investigate ourselves on a deeper level and release any emotional baggage from the past or inauthentic/toxic connections with others, so we can step into greater abundance and have a realization of our worthiness on this physical plane.
Due to some unforeseen circumstances in my life this year, I have been doing a lot of deep inner work on myself and also with some of my clients. The results have been phenomenal so far. This sparked the idea of creating two new Coaching Packages that can support this more profound and more meaningful journey in our lives.
One of the new offerings is a Life Crises Package, which gives you some very intensive support for 21 days/3 weeks; I created this package for anyone who is going through a massive shift in their lives, something that might be paralyzing without the proper support: uncoupling, health issues, loss of any kind,…
The other is a 90-day VIP package that will provide exclusive Coaching for 3 months. It provides transformation somewhere you have felt stuck and unable to move forward, despite your best efforts (e.g., career goals or changing careers, love life, conscious uncoupling, finances, health, parenting, etc.)
Since I can only accommodate 1 person for the Life Crisis package and 3 people for the VIP package at any one time, if you are interested, please reach out right away. Once these four slots are filled, anyone else will be added to a waitlist.
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 4:17am Saturday early morning (Aug. 27th) and 11:08pm Sunday late evening (Aug. 28th) — in the New York time zone.
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (that’s the US East Coast time zone), feel free to join my Facebook Fan page or follow me on Twitter. I will be posting reminders on Nov. 27th & 28th throughout the day to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉
