This week’s headline items: Mars changes signs from Pisces to Aries on Tuesday evening; the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Thursday morning; Mercury stations again, slowing down while still retrograde, and Eclipse season ends on Thursday; Venus changes signs from Aries to Taurus on Saturday late morning and Saturn’s station intensifies that day; Mars aligns with Jupiter in Aries on Sunday morning.

Monday, May 23rd:

Monday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day. It will journey there until Tuesday early evening. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all, especially those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go until Tuesday early evening.

Monday morning, an opportune Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 7:05am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday evening (May 20th), and it will remain strong until Wednesday evening. We might want to take advantage of the opportunities this aspect provides — it’s an excellent time for following our own path and inspiring others to do the same — and for simply having fun and boosting our self-confidence. In fact, we may well feel particularly vital and confident — and inner optimism can bring rewards.

Humor can be a big part of this aspect too: We are able to laugh wholeheartedly, and see only possibility in our lives, especially around exploring our connections with others, exchanging information, and learning about ourselves; whether these explorations are long-term or short-term, they can bring about a healthy shift of attitude toward our personal goals and passions.

Imagine you have a special lens that shows you the “bigger picture”: What do your beliefs about yourself look like as you gaze through it?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius). 

Monday very late evening, an opportune Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 11:27pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Sunday evening (May 22nd) and it will remain strong until Wednesday evening. This aspect provides an opportunity to connect thought to action. Body and mind can align; words and deeds connect with ease. As with any opportunity, we have to “take” this one: it will not happen by itself.

Ask yourself: What actions call to me today? How are those actions connected to my personal values? Or to spiritual or creative endeavors that call for a practical approach?

Let Go & Let Flow

This week’s headline items: a powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio becomes exact very early Monday morning; Mercury’s Station phase in Gemini ends on Tuesday (the retrograde will continue until June 3rd); the Sun changes signs from Taurus to Gemini late on Friday evening; Saturn starts its Station phase in Aquarius on Saturday (getting ready to come to a halt on June 4th); the last Quarter Moon in Pisces is exact on Sunday afternoon; Mercury (still retrograde) re-enters Taurus on Sunday late evening.

There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for almost 2.5 hours); Tuesday very late evening/night (for 8 hours), Friday morning (for a brief 53 mins), and Sunday very early morning (for 8.5 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, May 16th:

Monday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 7:50am EDT; with this Moon placement, we feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉

This Moon placement also started the build-up towards a powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse, that will be exact today. Feel free to watch my Lunar Eclipse video or read my article on the subject here.

Monday very early morning, at 12:14am EDT, the Moon opposes the Sun (in 25 degrees of Scorpio/Taurus). The entrance of the Moon into Scorpio (on May 14th) began the energetic build-up towards this powerful Full Moon.

This powerful Full Moon is a Total Lunar Eclipse that can be viewed in the Central, Eastern, and European Times zones. The duration of totality lasts 85.5 minutes (= 1.5 hrs). This means that we will feel the influence of this Lunar Eclipse for 45 days.

This particular Lunar Eclipse is the second of two Eclipses within a two-week period; it offers an opportunity for a deeper, more authentic connection with ourselves and others. Our physical and emotional bodies strongly feel the intensity of it all, so keep in mind: Eclipses ultimately support a shift in consciousness and thus bring us closer to our Soul’s path.

During a Lunar Eclipse, the Full Moon slowly dims as it passes through the Earth’s shadow, stimulating our emotional body and increasing our awareness of unconscious patterns and fears. If you’d like to learn more, and as a Member of my online community, click here to watch my Lunar Eclipse video.

As you might know from my last Solar Eclipse video, Eclipses are always powerfully connected to the Moon Nodes and thus to our Soul’s Journey (both collectively and individually). The Moon Nodes remain in polarity for 18 months. They have been in Taurus-Scorpio since Jan. 18th, 2022, highlighting issues around emotional & physical stability, finance, and our relationship with our physical environment and natural resources.

The North Node in Taurus emphasizes the necessity of self-esteem and a healthy relationship with the physical world — with our bodies, resources, and the Earth. The South Node in Scorpio symbolizes our need to face our fears, heal old trauma, and own our power, so we can step into a more passionate relationship with life.

Eclipses reoccur in 19-year cycles. On May 15/16th, 2003, there was a Lunar Eclipse at 24º53’ Scorpio-Taurus, very close to the degree of this Eclipse. Ask yourself: What areas of my life needed to be addressed back then? Where am I being called to make major changes now?

All Eclipses transmit new energetic codes and transformative downloads, symbolized by the signs involved, in this case: The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio opposes the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus.

There are several aspects worth mentioning in this Full Moon-Lunar Eclipse chart: a T-Square with Saturn in Aquarius as the Focus point, Pluto (the ruler of Scorpio), Mars (the co-ruler of Scorpio), and Neptune, all make harmonious aspects to the Eclipse polarity, Venus (the ruler of Taurus) aligns with Chiron in Aries, Mercury and Pluto are in their Retrograde motions, Jupiter is in 0º of Aries, and last but not least, Uranus, again, plays a big role in this Eclipse chart — and we will address all of them in a moment.

I should also mention that we focused on both Eclipses, as they relate to our own individual birth charts, in our recent Forecasting Forum “Eclipse season & Pluto Station, April-May 2022”: click here for more info or to purchase this webinar  — and feel free to re-listen to it, if you are already a Star Member — if you are at that Membership level, it was emailed to you on April 16th.

Since this Lunar Eclipse is almost a continuation of the last Lunar Eclipse in November of 2021, in 27º of Taurus-Scorpio, we can check to see how far we have come since then, when it comes to facing our fears and valuing ourselves and our authentic relationships to others. Ask yourself: What fears or inauthentic (or even toxic) relationships must I still release or transform if I am to step into greater abundance and happiness in my life?

For the next 45 days, we seek the balance and integration of two polarities and are aware that something needs to be brought into alignment; the balance in question is between our physical attachments, aversions, and connections — symbolized by Taurus— and our emotional attachments, aversions, and connections (Scorpio).

The time of the Lunar Eclipse brings greater awareness to what was unconscious or hidden previously. This particular one invites us to let go of fears or disempowering behaviors and thereby break through to the next level of our evolution, individually and collectively.

So, here’s this Eclipse’s central question: As a society, are we living in alignment with our values, with what makes us happy and satisfied? How about as individuals? Do we feel empowered and emotionally fulfilled? Are there any fears in our way to achieving progress? Or any rigid thought processes? Because Eclipses are so powerful, they require a bigger orb than a regular Full or New Moon. I usually use a 5º orb instead of 2º… so since this Lunar Eclipse takes place in 25º of Scorpio…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-29 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, or 0 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you are more affected by this month’s powerful Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer). 

Monday early morning, at 5:28am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC, that will last for almost 2.5 hours, until 7:50am EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to focus on inner processes. As best as you can, release any fears or traumas that keep you stuck in the past, and deepen your connection to what you feel deeply passionate about out there in the world — you have an opportunity to become fully committed to a project or task now — something that might serve you long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday very early morning until morning ahead of time.

Monday morning, at 7:50am  EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic, and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.

Fearlessly Explore New Avenues

This week’s headline items: Mercury comes to a halt and begins its 3-week Retrograde phase in Gemini on Tuesday morning, and Jupiter changes signs from Pisces to Aries that evening. The Sun aligns with the North Node in Taurus very early on Friday, and Pluto ends its Station phase on Saturday.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for a little over 10 hours); Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning (for 2.5 hours), and Saturday early morning (for 2.5 hours).

Monday, May 9th:

Monday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 6:53pm EDT. With this placement, we may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂

So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the rest of the day. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun that you let out a tiny squeak just thinking of it?

Monday morning, at 8:39am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC, that will last for a little over 10 hours, until 6:53pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to focus on making realistic choices and setting healthy boundaries when it comes to connecting with others; do your best to bring your most authentic, joyful Self to a cause or interactions with like-minded people.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning until the evening ahead of time.

Monday evening, at 6:53pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Our Consciousness Expands

This week’s headline items: Venus changes signs from Pisces to Aries on Monday early afternoon; it is finally time to set our Solar Eclipse Intentions on Monday afternoon; Mercury begins its Station phase in Gemini on Tuesday, and its Station intensifies from Friday onwards; last but not least, the first Quarter Moon in Leo becomes exact on Sunday evening.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for a brief 34 mins); Wednesday late afternoon (for 2.5 hours), and Saturday morning (for 1.5 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, please know:

We are still in Eclipse season until May 26th. If you’re looking for guidance, I would suggest taking a look at your Natal Chart — the House placements of the Eclipses (10.5º of Taurus & 25º of Scorpio-Taurus) will indicate which areas of your life are the readiest to rise to a new level of consciousness.

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, May 2nd:

Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 6:47am EDT. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.

Monday early morning, at 6:13am EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC, that will last only 34 minutes until 6:47am EDT. Use this short intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others in a gentle, compassionate way, and enjoy a good meal, a glass of wine, a massage… think “physical pleasures”.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning ahead of time.

Monday at 6:47am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…

The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂

Monday at 12:10pm EDT, Venus changes signs from intuitive, creative, dreamy Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic, active Aries, where it will journey until May 28th.

Until May 28th, we are going to feel passionate about connecting to others. We are ready to make a new start: if you are single, this could be a great chance to start something new (all things being equal). With Venus in Aries, spontaneity and independence are important to us. You’re not the only one who likes a challenge, so don’t make it too easy for others to win you over.

If you are already in a committed relationship, you get a wonderful chance to bring freshness and excitement to your bedroom and “other parts of the house” 😉 We also have more energy than usual; we are more likely to want to get out of the house and be active with others.

All this is especially true if you are a Taurus, Libra, or Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aries, beauty and love will enter your life during this time, you will feel more attractive and you will attract things to you. As a Taurus or Libra, you will feel more energized, passionate, and more than usually direct.

Monday from 4:28pm EDT on, it’s finally time to set our Solar Eclipse Intentions…. since we just had an Eclipse, we get to set some powerful intentions for the entire length of an Eclipse cycle — in other words, for the next 6 months!

Until 4:28pm EDT on Wednesday (May 4th) is the best and most potent time to do so!

Make them powerful: They cover the next six months. If possible, align them with the Taurus energy that I spoke about in my Solar Eclipse video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video.

While writing your intentions, ask yourself: What would I need to add or subtract from my life to better experience it as peace, abundance, and radiant love? Might adding a daily dash of love, grace, and gratitude add to my joy on this physical journey? 

How might meditation or mindfulness — simply being present in the now-moment to all the energies inside and around me — support my enjoyment of life?

This week’s headline items: Mercury enters its pre-shadow phase on Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, and the Balsamic Moon phase begins in Pisces on Tuesday evening; Pluto comes to a halt, starting its 5-month Retrograde phase on Friday afternoon, and Mercury changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Friday evening; a powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Taurus becomes exact on Saturday late afternoon; Mars at 12.5º of Pisces squares Dec. 4th’s Solar Eclipse degree on Sunday morning.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (until 6:15am EDT); Wednesday late morning (for 2.5 hours), and Friday early evening (for almost 2.5 hours)

We are in Eclipse season until May 26th, so as best as you can, surrender any fears, and trust the process. Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, April 25th:

Monday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius and VoC until 6:15am EDT; at which time, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday early afternoon. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Neptune is the ruler of Pisces — and it is currently in its own sign, making these next two days a great time to take a look at our inner spiritual connection to our “higher Self”, “Source”, “God/Goddess”.

It’s also a great time to allow all there is, as it is, and to go with the flow, following our intuitive voice as much as possible. We are being asked to tap into the “feminine” energies within ourselves so we can start to vibrate on a universal frequency.

Ask yourself: Is my “higher Self” asking for more introverted/inner love-time? If I tune in with my intuitive voice, what am I receiving? Sensing?

Where in my life have I become too disconnected from life? Love? God/Goddess? What is my connection to the spiritual realm? What about the “heart realm”? How could nature and/or animals teach me about those realms?

Do I need more downtime? More resting-time? More compassion? How might being kind to myself, and trusting the process of Life create a more loving connection with the universe?

Monday night/Tuesday very early morning around 2am EDT, Mercury enters its pre-Shadow phase when it reaches 26º of Taurus; this is two weeks prior to its Retrograde phase (which starts on May 10th at almost 5º of Gemini).

What is the Shadow phase? The period immediately before and after a planet’s Retrograde phase is referred to as the “Shadow phase”; at these times, the planet travels once more through the degrees of a sign (or signs) that it had already passed through before and during its Retrograde phase. Mercury is usually in its shadow for about two to three weeks prior to a retrograde, and for three to four weeks after.

If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items — especially connected to transportation (cars, airline tickets, etc.) or communication devices (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) — be aware of the Shadow periods as well as the Retrograde phases. If possible, get these things done before Mercury enters its pre-Shadow or wait until after the post-Shadow phase is over — post-Shadow phase will end on June 18th (in this case 😉

Of course, if there is something that must get done during these phases, don’t put your whole life on hold, just because Mercury is Retrograde or in its Shadow. Sometimes things line up exactly at the right time; as best as you can, trust that it’s all “perfect” 😉
