On May 5th, 2020 very early in the morning, at 12:49am EDT, the Moon Nodes switched from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius; they will remain in those signs until January 2022! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in October, 2001 – April 2003.
The transiting Moon Nodes show us what our Soul’s Journey currently requires on the collective and personal levels — let’s take a closer look at what this means:
The goal of the collective Soul’s journey is to balance and integrate two apparently opposite energies: our connection to information and communication (symbolized by Gemini), and our ability to see and go beyond the day-to-day, widen our perspective, and explore new paths while honoring our direct experience (linked to Sagittarius).
This will take looking closely at the balance between our mental processes and our quest for a larger truth or meaning.
This is also about being more conscious about our belief systems, perspectives, and attitudes towards life. It’s important to realize that the Sagittarian urge to “go beyond” is essential for our growth; in terms of balancing these energies, that same urge plays a crucial role in how we interact with others and share information (Gemini).
To get a more personal interpretation, we also need to take a look at the House placement of that Gemini/Sagittariuspolarity in our own birth charts, as well as the signs involved… we cover the houses in a webinar (I will include a link at the end of this article).

Acknowledging Our Limitations – Forecast for May 4th – 10th
This week’s headline items: Saturn’s station intensifies on Monday; the Moon Nodes switch signs from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius on Monday night/Tuesday very early morning; Venus’ station intensifies on Wednesday; the Full Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Thursday morning.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late evening (for a little over 4.5 hours); Thursday late evening (for a little over 4.5 hours); and Sunday very early morning (for 3.5 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, May 4th:
Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 3:09am EDT; at that time, the Moon enters harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until very early Wednesday early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday late afternoon,a Sun/Mercury alignment in 15 degrees of Taurus becomes exact at 5:41pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday morning (May 2nd) on; and it will be strong until this Thursday. When the Sun and Mercury come together, we are especially sharp, communicative, and open. This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life.
Intelligence and communication abilities are strong. We can expect a no-nonsense approach to decision-making. Ideas tend to be practical and useful.
That said, we may not listen as well as the other speaks — we might be too busy thinking about what to say next. Words matter now, so choose them wisely: If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?
Our opinions are usually strong during this time; we like to think independently and are proud of our opinions and our thoughts. For this reason, our egos might get bruised if we are not “heard” — if our opinions are pushed aside, ignored or criticized. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have different opinions… and that’s ok.
We may dig in our heals, but find it does not serve us, so choose your battles wisely and seek peace wherever possible.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius or Leo ? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Also on Monday, the Saturn’s station intensifiesuntil May 16th. “Stationing” is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more “exalted”; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.
Saturn has to do with doing what needs to be done — so we can fully understand the practical implications of our reality, and the consequences of our past actions. Saturn also represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments and ability to “do” life, on life’s terms.
As spirit beings in a physical world, it’s best to observe the laws of the physical world. The sooner we learn to “play by the rules”, the easier life gets. Saturn also represents time and the “domain” of time: growing up, maturing, understanding and acknowledging our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious and focused on building something of value to society.
Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, where would your personal “Earth Classes” be focused, right now? Where are you being asked to take a more serious look at your social affiliations, communities (in-person or online), or group causes? Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future? Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now? What requires a more mature approach in those areas?
What calls for a commitment towards a larger future vision? What will time do?
As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. This more intensified Station-phase will last until May 16th; and Saturn starts its 4-month Retrograde phase on Monday, May 11th in almost 2 degrees of Aquarius (more on that next week). On May 7th, at 6:45am EDT, the Full Moon in almost 17.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio opposes the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus. This is also another SuperMoon.
There are many Station phases going on simultaneously this month, as a lot of planets are starting their Retrograde phases. Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, was the first one to go retrograde, on April 25th — and its Station phase will still last until May 17th, which makes this planet more exalted until then.
Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn are exalted in the sky as well. All three of those planets will start their various Retrograde phases within three days of each other, between May 11th and May 14th. Since Venus rules Taurus, we have both planetary rulers of this Full Moon exalted at this time — a rare occasion 🙂 We will talk about this in more detail in a moment, but first….
This Full Moon shows us how far we have come, as well as what we must still release or transform, if we are to manifest what was begun at the time of the New Moon that occurred on April 22nd.
For the next two weeks, we seek the balance and integration of two polarities — and we are more aware that something needs to be brought into alignment. The balance in question is between our physical attachments, aversions, and connections — symbolized by Taurus— and our emotional attachments, aversions, and connections (Scorpio).
The time of the Full Moon is always more extroverted and emotional; this particular one invites us to let go of fears or disempowering behaviors, and thereby break through to the next level of our evolution, individually and collectively speaking.
So, here’s this Full Moon’s central question: As a society, are we living in alignment with our values, with what makes us happy and satisfied? As individuals? Do we feel empowered and emotionally fulfilled?

A Realistic Vision for Humanity — Forecast for April 27th – May 3rd
This week’s headline items: Mercury changes signs from Aries to Taurus on Monday afternoon; on Tuesday, it is time to take actions on our New Moon Intentions; the First Quarter Moon in Leo becomes exact on Thursday late afternoon; also on Thursday, Venus starts her station (i.e. slows down), preparing for her 6-week Retrograde phase; and finally, on Saturday, Jupiter also begins its station, slowing down as it prepares for its yearly 4-month Retrograde phase.
There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early afternoon (for 28 min.); Wednesday afternoon (for a little over 5.5 hours); Friday early afternoon (for 13.5 hours); and Sunday late evening (for a little over 4.5 hours).

Monday, April 27th:
Monday,the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 1:28pm EDT. We like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂
Monday at 1:00pm EDT, we enter a brief Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 28 min. until 1:28pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others and move a project forward that is dear to you. It’s time to be direct and communicate — what do you need to move forward faster? Who could give you that information?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Monday at 1:28pm EDT,the Moon moves into protective, nurturingCancer, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening (April 29th). With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and half days 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Monday at 3:53pm EDT,Mercury changes signs from enthusiastic, fast-paced Aries to steady, peacefulTaurus, where it will journey until May 11th. For the next 2 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: we want to connect to others in a realistic, down-to-earth way and we “say it like it is”. We appreciate common sense; we rely on our senses when it comes to processing information.
A well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this Mercury position, so as long as Mercury is in Taurus, we will be drawn towards the “tasteful” in the realm of the five senses. We are more likely to have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and our ideas are often very practical and useful at this time.
When it comes to learning, we prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts for the next 2 weeks. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb. We simply process information better when we can personalize it (“what use is it to me?”) and attach it to the practical world.

Our Journey towards Authenticity — Forecast for April 20th – 26th
This week’s headline items: The New Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Wednesday late evening; Pluto comes to a halt, starting its 5-month Retrograde phase on Saturday afternoon; Saturn starts its Station phase on Sunday, as it prepares to go retrograde.

Monday, April 20th:
Monday,the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Piscesand VoCuntil 3:00am EDT. At that time, the Moon enters pioneering, fast-paced Aries. It will journey there until Wednesday mid-afternoon. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Monday morning, we get an opportunity to take actions on our personal goals, in a very concrete way and bring a new level of focus and authenticity to our future visions.
Monday late afternoon, has lots of potential for healing around family, the “mother archetype”, home, and our past in general. We may feel more sensitive and insecure about what we identity with, and around our ability to be assertive; this gives us the opportunity to give ourselves some compassion, acceptance and nurturing in the face of our sensitivities and limitations.

On April 22nd, at 10:26pm EDT, the New Moon becomes exact in 3.5 degrees of Taurus. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle.
As best as you can, get really quiet, and see if you are getting any new messages or ideas. If you are, harvest them, and fold them into any intentions you set for the new Moon cycle — I will talk about this process later in the article, and I’ll even give you the very best and most potent times for doing so 🙂 Click here to watch my video on the subject.
This New Moon aligns with Uranus in Taurus, squares Saturn in Aquarius, semi-sextiles Neptune in Pisces, and trines the South Node in Capricorn.
So, as you can see, lots of planets and points connect to this New Moon. This paints a complex picture, with opportunity for change, an atmosphere of diversity, a need to redefine “old” structure, an extra effort to connect with our compassionate heart and our imagination, and a sense of knowing that all is well, all of the time.
But before we go into all of these aspects in more detail, let’s first talk about the sign of Taurus:
This New Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus places more focus on our interactions with the physical world — you could say that we seek a healthier relationship with “matter”, one in which we are neither too attached, nor too disconnected from things on the physical plane — for example, our bodies, resources (such as money), and the planet we co-inhabit.

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 1-5 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 10:26pm on April 22nd until 8:43pm on April 24th — all of those times are given in US East Coast-time.

A Common Vision for Life — Forecast for April 13th – 19th
This week’s headline items: Pluto’s Station phase intensifies on Monday; the Last Quarter Moon in Capricorn becomes exact on Tuesday evening; the Sun changes signs from Aries to Taurus on Sunday late morning.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday evening (for almost 8 hours), Friday late morning (for almost 4 hours), and Sunday evening (for 7.5 hours).

Monday, April 13th:
Monday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-orientedCapricorn all day. It will journey there until Wednesday very early morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and it will be transiting through Aquariusuntil July 1st, making this a great time to take a look at our visions for humanity, and at anything we would like to accomplish long-term within our communities (locally or online).
It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our various networks and connections to like-minded people; as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations: Do they truly resonate with your personal vision for the future — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Does participation in those groups or networks align with who you are now, and with where you see yourself 5 years from now? What do you truly want to commit yourself to?
Monday morning, we are invited to connect with like-minded people, and learn something new about our unique talents or value to the world. We are better able to connect to anything that involves a long-term commitment. We perhaps might also implement revolutionary business practices or government programs that support our values and make life tangibly more enjoyable.
Also on Monday morning, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. As best as you can, make space for looking into some alternative exercise programs or holistic approaches to your personal projects and current long-term commitments. Compassion is key 😉
Monday late morning, we are in invited to make some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to connect and share ourselves with others — and on the other, the need to accomplish something out there in the real world, and to be responsible and self-reliant.
Also on Monday, Pluto’s Station phase intensifiesuntil May 9th. It will come to a halt on April 25th in 25 degrees of Capricorn (more on that next week). As I mentioned last week already, when an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced; this becomes even more pronounced when its Station phase intensifies.
We become even more aware of its impact on us — and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet’s energy has picked up speed again (around May 17th).
As best as you can, take a closer look at whatever is “in your face” for the next 5 weeks. Look for what might no longer be in alignment with your soul’s purpose (your deep, authentic, emotional Self) — especially in relation to long-term goals and your standing in society.
Ask yourself: Where am I holding on, out of fear? What habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? What would it look like, if I was fully aligned with my Soul-purpose? How would it feel?

Take Innovative Action — Forecast for April 6th – 12th
This week’s headline items: a Super Full Moon in Libra becomes exact on Tuesday late evening; Venus enters her pre-Shadow phase in Gemini on Thursday; and Mercury changes signs from Pisces to Aries, very early Saturday morning.
There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday late morning (for almost 8 hours), Wednesday morning (for almost 7.5 hours), Friday afternoon (for a brief hour) and Sunday morning (for a little over 12 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention two things:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, April 6th:
Monday, the Moonremains in detail-oriented, practicalVirgo until 5:16pm EDT; turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time/services and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might come also into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Monday morning, we can potentially accomplish quite a bit: The Moon in Virgo makes a harmonious aspect to Pluto in Capricorn. Virgo and Capricorn are Earth signs, so getting down to business and focusing on the task at hand takes less effort than normal. We are able to tackle anything that requires attention to detail and maybe even implement health routines or other systems that support our long-term goals.
Monday at 9:29am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 8 hours until 5:16pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to clarify what’s important to you. Ask yourself: What works for me in my daily routines? What doesn’t? What are my expectations or attitudes towards those things? What new vantage point might show me how to easily implement my business goals?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late morning until the late afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 5:16pm EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts. This Moon placement starts the build up towards the Full Moon (exact Tuesday late evening).

On April 4th, a long-term Jupiter/Pluto alignment in almost 25 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 10:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from March 11th on; it will remain strong until May 2nd.
This is the first Jupiter/Pluto alignment of the year. There will be two other ones throughout the year: on June 30th (24º), and Nov. 12th (almost 23º); these conjunctions start a new 13-year cycle.
Due to Pluto’s Station phase in April/May we may experience this aspect more intensely in April than at any other time this year.
The last two times these particular planets connected was in Dec. 2007, in 28º of Sagittarius, and in Dec. 1994, in 28º of Scorpio. The last of these cycles to occur in the sign of Capricorn began in Feb. 1771 and the one before that started in Jan. 1522 — note also that there are larger cycles within the smaller cycles.
Think back to Dec. 2007, and ask yourself: What “forced” me to look beyond my current understanding to a larger perspective so I could grow and evolve? In what ways did I need to take a deeper look at my belief systems at that time? How did I want to better myself? What situation in my life required a “rebirth”? How can I now take that to the next level?
This aspect invites us to see the bigger picture in our attempt to regain control over our collective experience. This will likely spark major revelations and reformations, as fundamental assumptions are challenged, hypocrisies exposed, and priorities reordered. Benefits may come now through those in authority or the government. It can also be a time of personal growth and expansion. This can also be…

What’s my biggest fear in connection with the area of life where this alignment is taking place in my birth chart? What’s being seeded this year — in connection with my own personal growth and my Soul Purpose — that will be looking to expand over the next 13 years? How might this be a new beginning for me?

On April 7th at 10:35pm EDT,the Full Moon becomes exact in almost 19 degrees of Libra. All Full Moons bring an opportunity for awareness and integration of the traits connected to the relevant Full Moon polarities, especially those that have been neglected or suppressed.
This Full Moon has heightened effects on us for two important reasons: first, it is another SuperMoon (i.e. the Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth); secondly, Pluto is exalted and conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn, and in a square aspect to the Full Moon! All of this increases emotionality and fosters larger shifts in consciousness.

On Monday afternoon, April 6th, the Moon enters Libra; this starts the energetic build up towards the Full Moon — and 29 hours later, the Sun in Aries opposes the Moonin Libra.
Ask yourself: How far have I come with the Intentions I set around March 24th’s New Moon? If I’m not where I’d like to be with those intentions, what new course might take me closer to my goals?
The Libra-Aries polarity highlights the spiritual dance between various polarities: individual drives or goals and one-on-one relationships, masculine and feminine, independence and collaboration. Whether we are single or partnered, we are all in relationship to someone — any one-on-one relationship counts here — business, personal, health-related, etc.

On May 5th, 2020 very early in the morning, at 12:49am EDT, the Moon Nodes switched from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius; they will remain in those signs until January 2022! The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in October, 2001 – April 2003.
This week’s headline items: Saturn’s station intensifies on Monday; the Moon Nodes switch signs from Cancer/Capricorn to Gemini/Sagittarius on Monday night/Tuesday very early morning; Venus’ station intensifies on Wednesday; the Full Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Thursday morning.
On May 7th, at 6:45am EDT, the Full Moon in almost 17.5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio opposes the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus. This is also another SuperMoon.

This week’s headline items: The New Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Wednesday late evening; Pluto comes to a halt, starting its 5-month Retrograde phase on Saturday afternoon; Saturn starts its Station phase on Sunday, as it prepares to go retrograde.
On April 22nd, at 10:26pm EDT, the New Moon becomes exact in 3.5 degrees of Taurus. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle.

On April 4th, a long-term Jupiter/Pluto alignment in almost 25 degrees of Capricorn becomes exact at 10:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from March 11th on; it will remain strong until May 2nd.
