ThisNew Moon is powerful in that it makesaspects to all the outer planets (Neptune in Pisces, Pluto in Capricorn & Uranus in Taurus). With this many outer planets actively involved in this New Moon chart, we are invited to do some deeper Soul-work. The New Moon also squares Chiron, the wounded Healer!
We have two planets in their Station phases and thus exalted: Venus in Leo & Chiron in Aries. Both of them are preparing for their upcoming Retrograde phases; Venus is also involved in a YOD aspect with Neptune & Pluto (again, two outer planets).
Another thing worth mentioning with this New Moon chart: the Moon Nodes change signs only 90 minutes after the New Moon becomes exact (into Aries-Libra).
This 18-month journey begins with a Square to Pluto in Capricorn (exact on July 23rd and & 28th) which will be within 5 degrees of the Moon Nodes until Dec. 8th, 2023! — but before we unwrap the meaning of all of this, let’s first talk about the Cancer archetype:
Cancer is the first water sign of the zodiac, as such, it relates to the development of the “emotional body” — so this Moon cycle amplifies feelings, instincts, and needs.
Cancer represents the yin, receptive principle, which births, nurtures, and protects life. The Sun and Moon in Cancer remind us that we must also receive as well as give. Both constant giving and constant taking are unhealthy and unsustainable.
Our feeling nature has been denied and suppressed for millennia, but we have begun to embrace it more fully since 2011, when Neptune started its journey through Pisces.
Feelings are an essential source of information about our true needs — they are a dashboard that tells us what is healthy for us. When we don’t heed that information, we become dependent on others for validation and direction, or lose ourselves in addictions and distractions.
With this New Moon occurring in protective, introverted Cancer, we are invited to surround ourselves with quality and safety; we can expect anything connected to home, family, real estate, or childhood issues to be heightened in our awareness for the next four weeks.
This New Moon highlights the importance of listening to our feelings, focusing on Self-care, healing old wounds from the past, and releasing unhealthy patterns that keep us stuck in the past.
Cancer is all about supporting and protecting life, but many of us are conditioned to ignore our own bodies and our environment — along with our inner life, feeling-bodies, and emotional/spiritual connection to other life forms.
This creates a disconnect not only from our true selves but also from the rest of the world. Many of us tend to put little value on emotional intelligence, but it’s very hard to have meaningful, authentic connections without it — and it begins with self-connection and self-awareness.
Ask yourself: What might I do differently if my feelings were just little children that wanted to be heard? What price might I be paying for denying or suppressing their little voices?
Cancer reminds us that water and life are inseparable. Water corresponds with feelings: both must flow. Stagnant water breeds disease and suppressed emotions can likewise make us ill.
Ask yourself: Could I simply allow myself to feel my feelings without needing to understand them? Without needing to know why I am feeling what I am feeling? Without launching into problem-solving? If nothing else, could I try this out as an experiment, just to see what might transpire?
And here’s a bonus question: What would the healthy mother-archetype do?
The Cancer energy is connected to family and home (this could be a physical or emotional “home”). Given this, a shift with past issues around feeling “at home”, “safe”, or “nurtured”– both internally and in the world — might move to the forefront in the next couple of weeks.
Internally, this is about being more rooted in our physical-emotional bodies, and allowing ourselves to explore and celebrate the mother-archetype both within and without — things like giving and receiving nurturing, caring for ourselves in terms of our emotional and physical state, and so on.
Ask yourself: Am I rooted in fertile ground? Am I thriving? What else do I need to flourish and grow? What has changed for me in the past 3 years in that regard? How does Self-care show up in my life now vs. then?
Now, let’s talk about some of the aspects of this New Moon chart:
The New Moon in Cancer makes a Trine to Neptune in Pisces, an Opposition to Pluto in Capricorn, a Sextile to Uranus in Taurus, and a Square to an exalted Chiron in Aries. So let’s unwrap that…
The Trine to Neptune (currently in its Retrograde motion) supports an inner “flow state” and emotional connection to loved ones; spiritual and creative endeavors are favored with this combo. Our capacity for compassion is quite strong as well, both for ourselves and others, and we are feeling especially intuitive.
Ask yourself: When I tune into myself what do I feel connected to? What if I tune into life itself? What from my past is asking to be released? Where is it time to open myself up fully on an emotional level?
The Opposition to Pluto (currently in its Retrograde motion): we may take an all-or-nothing attitude toward others, this could drive some tension or oppositional behaviors, so as best you can, remain flexible, and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body.
As best as you can, trust what resonates, what rings true, what empowers and connects — rather than what agitates and polarizes.
Ask yourself: What is my motivation for achieving something out there in the world? How about at home? Where might the balance point be between home/family and career/long-term goals?
How might a deep focus on self-care or emotional authenticity serve me at this time? What needs to transform so I can feel more empowered?
It will also help to remain aware of whether we empower ourselves and/or others in our interactions — for example, taking things too personally is not recommended.
Ask yourself: How might a focus on nurturing myself feel empowering to myself and others?
The Sextile to Uranus provides an opportunity to connect with others and share a new vision about the Earth, physical matters such as finances, or a reinvention of how we connect with “the good things in life”.
Ask yourself: What if the whole Universe was intelligent? What if that included every cell in my body? What knowledge would my body want to share with me? How could I use these new ideas to support my emotional and physical well-being? What feels the most nurturing?
Before the talk about the Square to Chiron, let’s talk about the two exalted planets of this New Moon chart:
Venus in Leo & Chiron in Aries: we can expect to feel their energies more strongly until early August.
With Venus exalted, we are invited topay even closer attention to what matters to us, our values, likes & dislikes, preferences, as well as how we spend or invest our money, what brings us joy, what doesn’t, and what’s important at this time (and whether we can express it). What or who do we love? What needs to change?
Venus comes to a halt and starts her 6-week Retrograde phase on July 22nd. Chiron comes to a halt and starts its 5-month Retrograde phase less than 12 hours later, on July 23rd.
We will cover Venus’ Retrograde phase in courageously heart-centered & self-expressed Leo in much more detail on Aug. 2nd, 2023 at 5pm EDT in our next Forecasting Forum. If you would like to know how the planet of (self-) love, relationships, and money matters is impacting you personally, feel free to join us.
We will look at our own birth charts, and I will take you through this process step by step, so you can understand the impact on your own life, even if you are not a seasoned Astrologer.
Now, let’s talk about the exalted Chiron in Aries: we are invited topay even closer attention to the healing of the wounded masculine archetype within us — how we handle anger, impatience, our desire to dominate, be independent or “show our strength”, etc. (for example, perhaps it doesn’t feel ok to be that way, maybe even the thought brings up shame, and so on…)
Now, let’s talk about the New Moon’sSquare to Chiron: This asks us to stretch ourselves. Our past conditioning and wounded sense of Self may be out of harmony; we are invited to make adjustments and, as best as we can, find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.
Ask yourself: What if I gave myself permission to make space both for healing around my self-identity (in other words, for recognizing the limitations around my persona), and for taking care of home or family issues?
As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional, without seeing yourself as weak or “less than”. It is perfectly ok to be yourself, and that may involve feeling insecure once in a while — so give compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…
Ask yourself: Where does the wounded masculine cry out for my compassionate awareness (or even my love)? What if I gave it also to those who have not been able to model masculine energies in an “acceptable” way? What if I extended that even to myself, if and when I fall into that category? Even if I get triggered?
Remember: Anger can be a reaction to a boundary violation, and/or a cover for another emotion — often fear, sadness, or shame.
Mercury’s Trine to Chiron in Ariesgives us some support — it makes is easier for us to connect with others, socialize, and take a compassionate approach toward ourselves and others, especially when it comes to our identity, personal goals, and passions.
We feel more confident to connect and communicate without seeing ourselves as weak or “less than”. We feel perfectly ok to be ourselves, and that may involve feeling insecure.
Ask yourself: Could I allow myself and others to be human? What if I talked about my flaws, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities? How might this support my own healing process? Someone else’s?
Mercury also squares Jupiter in Taurus. With this aspect, we may have to learn about our assumptions, our thinking processes and our social conditioning.
“Listening” might not be our strong suit at this time: we may want to share our personal thoughts and joy without limitations, and are thus inclined to exaggeration, often unintended.
Ask yourself: What if honoring my physical reality, helped me listen to myself 5% more? What might become possible with growing my own personal resources if I were 5% more aware of the assumptions I am making at any given moment? Or of my expectations? Am I expecting too much of myself? Too little?
Venus in Leo is also involved in a Yod aspect with Neptune & Pluto. A Yod consists of two Quincunxes — aspects that signal inner discomfort and the need for some adjustments.
Both Quincunxes are pointing towards Venus in Leo, making Venus the Focus of this aspect, so the adjustments in question must be made so we can value ourselves, and connect from an authentic, heart-felt place, even if it feels uncomfortable.
For the next 28 days, ask yourself: What do I feel when I honor my heart? What do I need to express that is dear to my heart — even when fear is present? Even when I want to turn inwards or escape life? Even when it feels uncomfortable to do so?
How can I be courageous in my self-expression without dominating others? Could I permit myself to get in touch with my inner child — and allow myself to have some fun?
Could I refrain from getting attached to things going “my way”? What if “pride” was able to take a back seat? What if I focused on gratitude, giving compliments, connecting to my inner joy, and being playful instead?
Another thing worth mentioning with this New Moon chart:the Moon Nodes change signs only 90 minutes after the New Moon becomes exact (into Aries-Libra).
We covered this 18-month journey in our last Forecasting Forum, and you can get access to this 115-minute webinar, right here, right now, normally it’s $37.00, but for the next seven days (until July 22nd), it is available for the special price of only $33!
I highly recommend watching this webinar! It is super informative! It will help you understand the lessons and meaning behind the transiting Moon Nodes in Aries-Libra and your individual journey in connection with relationships & self-identity over the next 18 months!
The ongoing Moon Nodes’Square to Pluto in Capricornindicates that we are at a turning point — individually and collectively speaking! This is a huge opportunity to release past patterns that we’ve been carrying for decades — including those that span generations.
We may feel an obsession (or tremendous passion) for career achievements and economic autonomy — but also out of control or fearful about our economic future.
Ask yourself: What am I most scared about regarding my standing in society or my long-term achievements? Do I have concerns about authority figures? My own authority in the world?
Where do I feel “out of control”? Where am I trying too hard to self-protect or control an outcome? What if I surrendered all my fears and trusted the divine power within?
Am I ready for some profound changes? Where am I looking to create more empowerment in my life? What about the lives of others? What needs to happen so I can shift my current situation? What role does “trust” play in all of this? Am I allowing myself to hear the deepest calling of my Soul?
Pluto always invites us to integrate the opposite sign it’s in for balance and true empowerment. While in Capricorn, that balance comes from nurturing, protective, introverted, home & family-oriented Cancer.
We are invited to empower ourselves at home, with loved ones, and by focusing on self-care and whatever feels nurturing to our inner baby.
This is an invitation to balance our obsessions around an empowered career with our focus on getting plenty of rest, healthy nourishment, and affection.
Ask yourself: What would a powerful approach to self-care look like at home? With family? Elsewhere?
How might nurturing myself support my self-connection? My connection to others? The world at large? How might it support my career ambitions? What if self-care was the first step toward meaningful achievement?
The term “self-soothing” resonates beautifully here. Ask yourself: What does self-soothing mean to me? What would that look like? How could I nurture myself to the point that I am at once connected to others and yet completely independent?
Mars — the ruler of Aries, currently moving through Virgo — opposes Saturn in Pisces (currently in its Retrograde motion). We are invited to live in moderation now — but this may be frustrating, as we face tests or trials that remind us that pushing too hard or fast doesn’t always get us the results we want. It’s time to slow down a little and catch our breath.
Ask yourself: What would it look like if I took things one step at a time? What is the reality of a situation that I find myself in? Does it serve me, in the long run, to try and figure it all out in advance? To have all the answers? To do it all perfectly? What emotional and spiritual toll might that take on me?
To sum it all up: this New Moon reminds us that to be a “successful human being” we must take really good care of our emotional and physical well-being.
If we can allow the inner masculine (taking action, being assertive, etc.) to protect and co-create with the feminine (allowing for feelings to move through, receiving, etc.), we will go further than we can imagine. It is very important to allow ourselves extra time to rest, release, and recalibrate.
Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn — in their retrograde motion — provide inner emphasis for clearing out any old trauma and conditioning from our childhood, past lives, and ancestral patterning.
For the next four weeks, as best as you can, allow yourself to release (Neptune) & transform (Pluto). The more you do, the deeper will go your sense of inner peace, wholeness, and creative power.
Ask yourself: Could I allow myself to go deeper and tap into my “true inner power” (the one that allows me to keep my heart open)? One that allows me to see that all things — the good, the bad, and the ugly — ultimately are part of the creative process, a part of my personal evolution.
Now more than ever, the world actually needs people that know how to nurture themselves, people who honor their feeling-body, who have a healthy center, and who follow their inner compass! Ask yourself: Would I rather feel safe or grow as an individual?
Also feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
[/wcm_restrict] Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 23-27 degrees ofCancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign inLeoorCancer(the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be any time between2:32pm and 11:06pm (on Monday, July 17th); and then again, 93 minutes later, between 12:39am (on Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, July 18th) and 2:32pm (on Wednesday, July 19th).
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-pageorfollow me on Twitter, as I post reminders on July 17, 18th, and 19th to let you know when it is time to set your intentions.

This week’s headline items: Chiron is exalted (stationing) all week; Mars changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Monday morning; Mercury changes signs from Cancer to Leo very early Tuesday; later on Tuesday, Venus starts to slow down (station) — preparing for her Retrograde phase in Leo; the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Thursday afternoon; Neptune’s station ends on Friday — remaining in its retrograde motion until Dec. 6th — and Chiron’s Station phase intensifies on Sunday.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday evening (for 44 minutes), Thursday very early morning (for 1 hour and 15 minutes), and Saturday morning (for 4 hours and 40 minutes).
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 10th:
Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries until 7:55pm EDT. Life is an adventure; we’re more open to new ideas and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly and act immediately.
Monday at 7:40am EDT, Mars changes signs from fun-loving, risk-taking Leo to detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo, where it will journey until August 27th. With Mars in Virgo, we are more inclined to put our energy towards a project that takes care of our day-to-day, practical matters or health issues.
Creating order in our daily lives and knowing what’s coming next is easier for us now. We are better at organizing, planning on a short-term scale, and doing errands at this time. We may feel that we do things better than others right now; therefore, we may not give others a chance to improve their skills or perhaps even show us a new and different way of doing something.
As best as you can, keep the focus on yourself and watch out for impatient outbursts or for the need to be right at all costs. Be of service to others, and remember that perfection is not a goal; it is a journey. How can you move towards improving things in your life rather than having things be perfect all the time?
If you have an Aries Sun-sign or Rising sign, you are going to feel more focused on details and health issues. If you are a Virgo Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 6.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise, work, or health projects might be advisable.
Monday, in the late afternoon, a Mercury/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 4:48pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday night (July 8th) on; it will remain strong until Wednesday evening (July 12th). This opposition might bring up some very deep issues that need to be discussed. Obsessive thinking, attempts to persuade, insistence on knowing the “truth”, or exposing lies… these are all possibilities now.
We are capable of very hard work and exertion. In particular, we tend to pursue ideas with intensity, making this an excellent time for any kind of research or in-depth study. We may not be able to put our inner thoughts and experiences into words — and maybe that’s as well, given the darkness and intensity of those thoughts.
We may develop a great love of debate, but we need to be careful not to overpower others with our strong opinions, in our efforts to “convert” them — in other words, treating debates or exchanges of opinion as battlegrounds.
Intense conversations and connections feel more “real” than superficial ones. We want to dig out the truth about our feelings and the world we’ve built. As best as you can, try not to obsess about what someone said to you or what you’ve heard: We may take things personally that were actually meant to empower us. Here’s what it comes down to: Could you allow yourself to go deeper and tap into your true inner power?
As best as you can, take it one moment at a time; as best you can, resolve issues through cooperation and stay objective. When you notice that you are taking things personally and starting to get defensive, take a deep breath and ask yourself: Is this really about me? Or my past issues? Or their’s? How can I ground myself in the here and now? What might change if I decided to focus on nurturing myself?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, Libra, or 0-3 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto rules Scorpio).
Monday at 7:11pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 44 minutes, until 7:55pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to any seemingly unsolvable problems. Make space both for connecting with family (or simply communicating with loved ones) and for nurturing your personal goals — for being completely yourself.
As always, with a Moon VoC, do your best to avoid starting anything brand-new — instead, stick to your routine or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday evening ahead of time.
Monday at 7:55pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peacefulTaurus, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.
In other words: change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.

On July 17th, 2023, at 4pm EDT, the Moon Nodes switch from Taurus/Scorpio to Aries/Libra; they will remain in those signs until January 11th, 2025!
The last time the Moon Nodes were in these particular signs was back in late December 2004 until June 2006.
The transiting Moon Nodes show us what our Soul’s Journey currently requires on the collective and personal levels — let’s take a closer look at what this means:
The goal of the collective Soul’s journey is to balance and integrate two apparently opposite energies: individual drives or goals (symbolized by Aries) and one-on-one relationships (linked to Libra).
We will thus need to look closely at the balance between “me” versus “the other” – and become more conscious about our wanting approval and any co-dependency with others.
Libra represents our desire to feel connected and see both sides of the coin by looking at contrast and comparison; and in terms of balancing these energies, we need to learn how to be an individual who is free to explore and express themselves (Aries).
Collaboration might be just what we need to create a shift in finding our path and following our passions.
The Aries/Libra polarity directs our awareness to…

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 3rd:
Monday, the Moon remains inambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. We tend to be more realistic, serious, and cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
This Moon placement also started the build-up towards the Super Full Moon in Capricorn (exact later this morning). Feel free toread my Full Moon article if you haven’t already done so.
Monday at 7:39am EDT, the Moon opposes the Sun in 11 degrees of Capricorn. To learn more about this month’s Full Moon and if you are an active Member of my online community, click here to watch my Full Moon video.
This Full Moon has heightened effects on us for many reasons: first, it is a “Full SuperMoon” (i.e. the Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth).
Secondly, lots of planets are involved in this Super Full Moon chart:
Mercury aligns with the Sun in Cancer
The Moon in Capricorn & Saturn in Pisces make several aspects to multiple planets
Venus aligns with Mars in Leo
Venus & Mars both square Uranus in Taurus, and they both trine Chiron in Aries
Neptune in Pisces is still stationing and thus more exalted — indicating that something is in our face and demands our awareness in connection with the feminine energies (such as allowing, resting, sensing, intuiting, and feeling into the flow of things…) and all of this plays an essential role for the next two weeks, so buckle up!
Saturn in Pisces plays a huge role in this Full Moon chart, firstly because it is the ruler of Capricorn and, consequently, also the ruler of this Full Moon.
Secondly, Saturn also sextiles the Moon in Capricorn, making the next two weeks an opportunity for us to focus on what’s essential and bring a sense of flow to our long-term goals or plans. More details about Saturn’s other aspects in a moment…
First, let’s look at the polarities of this Full Moon: The Moon in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn opposes the Sun & Mercury in protective, feeling-oriented Cancer.
We have a heightened sense that something must be brought into balance and reintegrated; the balance in question is between the connection we have to our feelings and emotional needs, plus our ability to feel emotionally connected to others (symbolized by Cancer), versus our outer obligations or material, practical goals out there in the world (Capricorn).
The Moon, in opposition to the Mercury/Sun alignment in Cancer, asks us to balance loving, caring connection and sharing against our need to achieve our long-term goals. As best as you can, steer by…

Monday late evening, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. As best as you can, make space for looking into some alternative exercise programs or holistic approaches to your personal projects and current long-term commitments. Compassion is key!(the Moon in Capricorn squares Chiron in Aries, exact at 9:14pm EDT)

The Moon, in opposition to the Mercury/Sun alignment in Cancer, asks us to balance loving, caring connection and sharing against our need to achieve our long-term goals. As best as you can, steer by…

This week’s headline items: Neptune in Pisces remains exalted all week; the first Quarter Moon in Libra becomes exact early on Monday; Mercury changes signs from Gemini to Cancer late Monday evening; Neptune comes to a halt to start its yearly 5-month Retrograde phase on Friday late afternoon.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Wednesday early morning (for 36 minutes), Friday late morning (for 49 minutes), and Sunday late morning (for almost 4 hours).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a quick reminder:
Next week, WEDNESDAY, July 5th, at 5pm EDT/2pm PT/10pm London time, will be our next Forecasting Forum about the Moon Nodes’ entry into Aries-Libra. A Journey that will last until January 2025.
The Moon Nodes represent our Soul’s Journey on a collective and individual level. What are our lessons around relationships and self-identity over the next 18 months? What needs our awareness, and what needs to be integrated?
Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day. It will journey there until Wednesday early morning. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time as we seek the approval of others. This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact in the very early morning).
Monday at 3:50am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 4.5 degrees of Libra becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Libra Sunday evening. The Moon, in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in protective, nurturing Cancer.
We feel compelled to take action. Last week saw the New Moon on June 17/18th. “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making first real contact with the outside world. This is, therefore, a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.
As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day dealings with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 2-7 degrees of Libra, Cancer, Aries or Capricorn? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Monday early morning, a challenging Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 5:23am EDT. We started to feel this aspect buildfrom Tuesday evening (June 20th) on, and it will remain strong until Saturday (July 1st).
Think back to late July/early August of last year, when Mars and Uranus were conjunct in Taurus: what seeds got planted back then? And what adjustments are needed to move those plans forward?
This aspect asks us to get in touch with our desires and break away from anything that is holding us back. Passions and anger that we may not even know we had may emerge at this time.
Uranus urges us to let go of our past values and focus on a better future. We may feel restless and impatient; we can be very demanding and difficult to please. We tend to feel like progress is too slow, and we are tired of waiting. This could be an explosive time, as our inner child wants what it wants, while outer “reality” demands we change course.
On the other hand, if you are the kind of person that doesn’t go in for asserting themselves, this is an excellent time to try it out. Do your best not to burn all your bridges, though, especially with any males in your family or like-minded people that you value. We may also experience an awakening of sorts in regard to our sexuality.
Accidents are unusually likely (though not inevitable), especially if our levels of activity and energy are erratic; to prevent this, stay as grounded as possible and keep breathing! Flexibility and open-mindedness are always helpful but are especially important now. Watch out for prideful moments (when your ego feels bruised)!
Notice when you are digging your heels in about something; this is usually a sign that you have some underlying anxiety about something else; again, take a deep breath, get centered in your body, close your eyes and focus on your third eye.
Ask yourself: What am I afraid of happening? How might I channel this restless energy into projects that are asking for progress? How might I channel or just burn off all this erratic energy? What kind of exercise might be an energetic match? Where am I stagnating? Where am I able to risk something?
Do you have your Ascendant or personal planets in 18-25 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)
Monday late afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Pluto aspect (in 29º of Gemini/Capricorn) becomes exact at 5:07pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect buildfrom Sunday evening (June 25th) on, and it will remain strong until Tuesday evening (June 27th).This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, awkward, and need to make a choice — so we need to develop inner awareness.
Our compulsive side may lead us down a path that evades rational understanding. Our judgments — of circumstances, ourselves, and others — can be so extreme during this aspect that we can’t seem to make intelligent and consistent progress in our life for the three days it is in effect.
As best as you can, strive to be more trusting and less strict with yourself for these three days. Surrender to whatever you are experiencing right now: It is temporary
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 28-29 degrees of Gemini, Capricorn, or 0 degrees of Cancer, or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Scorpio (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Mondayat 8:24pm EDT, Mercury moves from curious, quick-witted Gemini into protective, nurturing Cancer. It will journey there until July 10/11th. During this cycle, we are more sensitive to our surroundings, especially when listening and taking in information.
We also have more sympathy for the suffering of others. On the other hand, we have less objectivity, as emotions are always involved in our interactions with others; this could also mean we end up taking things more personally than we really need to — perhaps even to the extent that we start feeling sorry for ourselves.
As best as you can, remember to ask yourself: Is this really about me?
This is particularly true if you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign inGeminiorVirgo. You will feel a stronger need to connect with family or the people in your life that feel familiar and safe. You may also feel the need to talk about the past and work through past conditioning. If you are a Cancer Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you will be more chatty for the next 2 weeks.

This week’s headline items: Neptune stations (exalted) all week; Venus enters her pre-Shadow phase early on Monday; late Wednesday morning, the Sun changes signs from Gemini to Cancer — this also marks the Summer Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere; Neptune’s Station phase intensifies on Thursday; it’s time to take action on our New Moon Intentions, starting Friday; the Saturn station ends on Saturday.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Tuesday early evening (for 21 minutes), Thursday early afternoon (for 17.5 hours), and Sunday evening (for 33 minutes).

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, June 19th:
Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. It will journey there until Tuesday evening. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say, and our feelings more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two days.
Monday all day: If you haven’t gotten around to it yet,set your Intentions for this Moon cycle… If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon
Monday around 3:15am EDT, Venus enters her Shadow phase when she reaches 12º12′ of Leo. This marks the beginning of her pre-Retrograde Shadow phase that will last until July 22nd.
During a “retrograde”, a planet appears to reverse its normal direction through the sky. Astrologers refer to the period immediately before and after a planet’s Retrograde phase as the “Shadow phases”; at these times, the planet travels through the degrees of a sign that it will later revisit during the Retrograde phase.
Venus is usually in its Shadow for about five weeks prior to a Retrograde and five weeks after. This gives us a chance to reassess our values, relationships, and finances, so look carefully at whatever shows up in those areas of your life during the Shadow phases — you will get a chance to readdress those issues during the Venus Retrograde phase (July 22nd – Sept. 3rd).
Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Taurus or Libra? Or perhaps you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 10 – 29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you are more affected by this Shadow phase and the upcoming Retrograde phase.
Monday late morning, an opportune Jupiter/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 11:53am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from June 9th on; it will remain strong until June 29th. This aspect is an opportunity to create a finer balance between our need for personal growth around our physical/material realities and our need for keeping things real when it comes to the energetic, spiritual, or intuitive realm.
It is also an opportunity to have more self-discipline and self-motivation in our lives — we are more likely to find an increased focus on spiritual, inner self-mastery, coupled with a sense of enthusiasm about our physical comforts and realities.
Ask yourself: How might sourcing my energy from within support a stronger connection to myself and my talents? What might be possible if I got enthusiastic about my current physical reality? How might a practical and long-term sustainable approach towards my body or finances serve my enjoyment of life in the long run?
On Dec. 21st, 2020, Jupiter and Saturn aligned in 0 degrees of Aquarius. This is the first sextile since this conjunction — we are ready to open ourselves to new possibilities.
There is also an opening regarding our responsibilities — they feel easier as we see their value. If we stay open-minded and open-hearted, finances can get back on track. It’s undoubtedly easier to save and regulate spending.
As best as you can, allow yourself to tune in and transcend your social/cultural conditioning; a good place to start is committing to better understanding your belief systems around self-honoring, relationships, and finances — and where those beliefs originated.
Remember: opportunities are openings; they aren’t necessarily handed to us — we have to “take” them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 5-9 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Capricorn, or Cancer? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Capricorn (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius and Saturn rules Capricorn).

Take a Serious Look at Your Interconnectedness With Life
This week’s headline items: Saturn’s Station intensifies on Monday and comes to a halt on Saturday, starting its yearly 4-month Retrograde phase at 7 degrees of Pisces; the Balsamic Phase begins early Wednesday; Neptune begins its Station phase on Friday; the New Moon in Gemini becomes exact very early on Sunday.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Tuesday afternoon (for 4 minutes), Thursday late evening (for 10 minutes), and Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (for 6.5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, June 12th:
Monday, the Moon remains inpioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. Life is an adventure; we’re more open to new ideas and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Monday morning, we can feel a nice flow and ability to be courageous and walk our own path. We are invited to have fun connecting with others and doing things that bring us joy — as best as you can, explore something new, take a risk. (Moon in Aries trines Mars in Leo, exact at 8:35am EDT)
Monday evening has lots of potential for healing around family, the “mother archetype”, home, and our past in general. We may feel more sensitive and insecure about what we identify with and around our ability to be assertive; this gives us the opportunity to give ourselves some compassion, acceptance, and nurturing in the face of our sensitivities and limitations. (Moon conjuncts Chiron in Aries, exact at 7:15pm EDT)
Monday late evening, we have an opportunity to connect with our own personal goals and share our passion with others in an inspiring way. (Moon in Ariessextiles the Sun in Gemini, exact at 11:59pm EDT)
Also, on Monday, Saturn’s Station intensifies at 7º of Pisces until June 20th. “Stationing” is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more “exalted”; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.
Saturn has to do with doing what needs to be done — so we can fully understand the practical implications of our reality and the consequences of our past actions. Saturn also represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments, and ability to “do” life on life’s terms.
As spirit beings in a physical world, it’s best to observe the laws of the physical world. The sooner we learn to “play by the rules”, the easier life gets. Saturn also represents time and the “domain” of time: growing up, maturing, understanding and acknowledging our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious and focused on building something of value to society.
Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, where would your personal “Earth Classes” be focused right now? Where are you being asked to take a more serious look at your interconnectedness with life? Do your spiritual practices truly resonate with you? Do they align with who you are now? What requires a more mature approach in those areas?
We are also being asked to face our various modes of escapism from this world. What do we see now that needs our attention, that is keeping us separate from feeling truly connected to our intuitive knowing? To our higher Self? To our compassionate heart?
What calls for a commitment towards a realistic way to connect to all of life and trust our intuitive knowing? What will time do?
As best as you can during the Station phase, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. This more intensified Station-phase will last until June 20th — and Saturn will start its 4-month Retrograde phase on June 17th in 7 degrees of Pisces (more on that later this week).
Is your Sun-sign or Ascendant in Capricorn or Aquarius? Or perhaps you have an Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-9 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you are more affected by this planet’s Station phase.

One major thing to note in this New Moon chart is that Pluto has moved back into Capricorn, since the last Full Moon and does now answer again to Saturn (Saturn rules Capricorn). We also have Neptune & Saturn (both of them in Pisces) in their Station phases — and therefore exalted.
Something is therefore “in our face” in regards to those energies, demanding our attention and awareness; I will talk more about all of this below, but first, let’s look at the Gemini influence of this New Moon and its aspects:
Gemini is the archetype of curiosity, communication in all its forms, and mental connections — it represents the development of language and intelligence, as well as our ability to adapt and relate to our immediate environment.
This is a “busy” energy focused on collecting information. We are invited to look at our mental programming and conditioned mind to see what needs to go — and what new thought structures we might want to engage with.
The New Moon in Gemini squares an exalted Neptune in Pisces. With any Square we are invited to stretch and grow. It challenges us to get out of our comfort zone and to work through something that requires a creative approach. We are asked to make changes that may not necessarily come naturally but that are required if we want to grow and move to the next level of our journey.
In this case, our comfort zone is the mind (Gemini) and our need to be mentally busy and engaged. The challenge here is finding a way to trust our intuition (Pisces) and turn inwards for answers and direction.
Ask yourself: What might be possible if I allowed myself to shift from only paying attention to my conditioned mind, to getting present in the here and now and feeling into the energy and truth of who I am?
Is it possible that what I understand with the mind is very different from what I comprehend with the heart? And if that is so, could I trust my heart 5% more than I have done previously? Could I allow myself to slow down and be in the knowing that all is well, all of the time?
Keep in mind that Neptune is exalted (stationing) at the time of the New Moon (until July 14th), and its energy is thus louder; we may not only feel more…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly; this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo, the Moon rules Cancer)
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
So, this month, any time between 12:37am and 2:24am (on June 18th) would be best, then again from 6:58am (on June 18th) until 12:37am (on June 20th) — please note that all times are given in the Eastern Daylight Timezone — the timezone New York City occupies. Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, June 5th:
Monday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius and VoCuntil 3:31am EDT.
Monday at 3:31am EDT, the Moon moves into ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Wednesday early morning (June 7th). We tend to be more realistic, serious, and cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying, “I am doing the best I can, and that’s all I can ever do”.
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn — and it is currently transiting through Pisces. This is a great time to look for practical applications of our dreams, ideologies, connection to Source, or one-consciousness.
It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our spiritual or creative aspirations; as best as you can, be authentic about your intuitive connection to life. What works (and what doesn’t) when it comes to your idealism, addictions, avoidance of life, and dreams?
What about life truly resonates with you — as it stands now, rather than what it was 5 or 10 years ago? Where in your life is it time to let go of naiveté or an idealistic approach that no longer serves you?
What tools or structures support you with being in the flow, being present, and feeling connected to the Universe in this now-moment? What needs your time and attention? What could you practice every day? What do you genuinely want to commit yourself to?
Monday at 9:46am EDT, Venus changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer to fun-loving, extroverted Leo, where it will journey until Oct. 9th — an unusually long time due to its upcoming Retrograde phase (in late July-early September). Venus in Leo changes how we “do” relationships.
We’re “in love with love”, so we especially appreciate (and are turned on by) gestures of love and romance. It goes the other way, too: we are warm, affectionate, and loyal with those we love and cherish (as long as they show us that they deserve our love). Grand gestures of love and exciting, tantalizing interactions work best. Lavish everyone with compliments (including yourself).
We also want to have fun and express our love for life… and what better way is there to do that than to throw a huge party for everyone we love? And if a “huge party” doesn’t appeal, don’t opt for the couch and the TV: get out there. It’s a good time to take a chance!
“Taking a chance” applies to the financial realm, especially any ventures related to entertainment, children, sports, or the stock market.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more outgoing and confident for the period Venus moves through Leo. Your heart will want to connect and be admired. Creative endeavors will feel satisfying to you. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.
Monday early afternoon, a Venus/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 12:05pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect buildfrom last week, Saturday morning (June 3rd) on, and it will remain strong until this Thursday (June 8th). We are called to create a balance between our desire for having fun and expressing our love for life in the present moment versus our desire to transform and shake things up when it comes to our visions for ourselves and for our communities.
We can learn a lot about ourselves through relationships during this opposition phase. We may not altogether like what we see, though, as we perhaps glimpse our own “darker” side — and it will be critical that we recognize it as our own “stuff” rather than projecting it onto a romantic partner, collaborator, or friend.
Sexual intensity can be a part of this transit, too — as can fear of losing meaningful connections or of being abandoned. Ask yourself: What fears or concerns are coming into awareness in connection with an important relationship of mine? What needs to transform so I can honor myself and connect in an authentic way and thus experience an empowered version of myself? Might I deepen my relationships with others if I brought 5% more grace and an open heart to my interactions?
We have a deeply lodged need to establish a sense of self-worth at this time; we may start to argue or lay blame in order to feel better about ourselves. We need to be less concerned with how we “appear” to others and more with how we actually “are”.
All of this could bring up deep feelings in connection with other people. There also might be a tendency to confuse “Love” and “Power” right now; as best as you can, be true to yourself and come from an open heart rather than a scared one. Ask yourself: What would “Love” do?
An opposition always comes back to the starting point of the conjunction between the two planets involved. In this case, Venus and Pluto aligned on January 1st, 2023, at 27.5º Capricorn. Think back to that time: What relationships began at the beginning of this year? How about the relationship you have with yourself? What seeds were planted? What have you learned about your shadow, your focus, and your ability to stay committed to something or someone? How far have you come since then?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 0-3 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio or 27-29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto rules Scorpio).

There will be four Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday early morning (for a little over 5 hours), Wednesday late morning (for almost 9 hours), Friday evening (for a little over 4 hours), and Sunday late evening (for a little over 4 hours).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a gentle reminder:
On Friday (June 2nd) at 5pm EDT (2pm PDT/10pm London time), in this month’s Forecasting Forum, we will be talking about the Grand Cross in the Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius)!

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, May 29th:
Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 10:51am EDT. Until then, we are generous with our time/services, and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
Monday at 5:46am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last a little over 5 hours until 10:51am EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance head and heart, facts and faith, reason and intuition.
It’s an excellent time for connecting with others and being of service. You may also want to talk to your pets or engage in more spiritual conversations that can also support your physical well-being.
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning ahead of time.
Monday at 10:51am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seekingLibra, where it will journey until Wednesday evening (May 31st). The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time as we seek the approval of others.
We want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, we are invited to make some more internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but may also need to focus our own energy bodies and take a more serious look at our spiritual or creative goals. What do you recognize works best for you when you get in touch with your intuitive, more creative side? What does spiritual self-mastery mean to you? (Moon in Libra quincunxes Saturn in Pisces, exact at 12:18am EDT)

On Saturday, June 3rd at 11:42pm EDT, the Full Moon in 13 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. We start to feel the Full Moon build from the moment the Moon enters Sagittarius early that same morning.
For the next two weeks, we seek balance as we become more awareof something that needs to be brought into alignment or integrated. The balance in question is between our mental processes — symbolized by Gemini — and our quest for a larger truth or meaning (linked to Sagittarius).
The Moon in Sagittarius makes several aspects in this Full Moon chart, as does Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius.
Venus is getting ready to change signs from Cancer to Leo (on June 5th), following in Mars’ footsteps.
Mercury, the ruler of Gemini, is conjunct Uranus in Taurus.
Saturn in Pisces will start to slow down (station, and is thus exalted) from June 6th on.
More about the specifics in a moment, but one thing to remember: Full Moons are always times of awareness and culmination. We see things we have not seen before and get to make changes if we don’t like what we see.
So think back to the New Moon phase that started on May 19th: What seeds were planted then? What has “sprouted” since?
Before we talk about all of the aspects of this Full Moon, let’s first talk about the Sagittarian-Gemini polarity:
At its highest vibration, Sagittarius shows us a broader perspective, which has us looking beyond facts and learned knowledge to our direct life experiences and the wisdom gained. It’s all about seeking a higher truth and meaning for life’s challenges — a philosophy that would help us understand life’s trials and tribulations.
So that’s Sagittarius’s highest vibration — what of its shadow side?
When we suppress this energy inside of us, we become unquestioningly attached to our belief systems and the stories we tell ourselves about life — and therefore self-righteous — perhaps we even persecute those who differ in their point of view. We are also more easily susceptible to excesses of all kinds.
Now let’s look at Gemini: at its highest vibration, this sign helps us stay connected to our immediate environment and “day-to-day mind” — processing and sharing as much information as we can, as quickly as possible — we stay curious, constantly looking for ways to learn what we need to connect all the dots and communicate intelligently.
When we suppress the higher vibration of the Gemini energy, we likewise move into its shadow side…
