On Aug. 3rd, at 12pm EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact in almost 12 degrees of Aquarius. The Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius opposes the Sun in fun-loving, expressive Leo. If you are already a Member of my online community, you can click here to watch my video about this Full Moon 😉
Uranus in Taurus (the modern ruler of Aquarius), is exalted at the time of this Full Moon, due to its station phase (it is preparing to go retrograde.) Uranus also squares the Full Moon polarity of Aquarius-Leo, while Mars in Aries squares the Jupiter/Pluto alignment in Capricorn at the time of the Full Moon. These are the major themes of this Full Moon chart and we will address them in detail in a moment.
We will also talk in more detail about both of these planetary patterns, in relationship to our own birth charts, in my next Forecasting Forum on Aug. 9th. Feel free to join us live, or register to get the mp4-video presentation of this webinar, to see how these transits are impacting you personally.
As always, Star Members are automatically registered, and if you are currently a Universal Member, stay tuned: I will talk more about this again towards the end of this article 😉
The Moon in Aquarius opposes the Sun in Leo; this highlights the power of our individual creativity and the exponential potency of collaboration. Each of us is invited to reclaim ourselves, and add our voice, heart, and hands to something that has meaning for us.
The invitation here is to dare to be different, and to remember how we are all part of a larger whole. The highest quest of Leo leads to authentic Self-expression: to embody our gifts, shine our light, and live our truth. The highest task of Aquarius, on the other hand, is the attainment of unity in diversity, where everyone’s uniqueness is honored and included.
When we align our head with our heart, we feel our interconnectedness with all of humanity, and we create and connect from love instead of fear. Given that Leo represents our individual self-expression and Aquarius our vision for humankind, a question is raised: How can we best achieve a balance between these two energies? Or perhaps even an integration?
For the next two weeks, we’ll be looking for answers to this question, as we might become more aware that something is out of alignment.
Even the brightest of Full Moons has a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or easy to embrace.
As always with shadow aspects of ourselves, we need to beware of getting triggered and jumping to conclusions; we need to make sure we take time to respond rather than react.
By the way, if you are reading this before July 31st, you can still get a huge discount on my webinar with the same title: React vs. Respond. Click here for more info or to purchase
Back to the shadow sides of this Full Moon — let’s start with Leo’s shadow side:

Dissolve What No Longer Works — Forecast for July 27th – Aug. 2nd
This week’s headline items: the first Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Monday morning; Venus ends her Shadow phase Tuesday night; and Uranus starts its Station phase on Wednesday.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (for almost 3.5 hours), Thursday evening (for almost 12 hours), and Sunday late morning (for a little over 4 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like post a gentle reminder:
Still available until July 31st at midnight! To get a better sense on how to become more emotionally mature, check out my webinar: “React vs. Respond — Where in the chart can we learn about our emotional maturity?” Find out how you can support yourself and others on the path towards becoming an emotionally healthy, responding being.
This webinar also includes a hand-out for all Moon-signs with coaching questions. Due to the importance of this subject at this time, I have decided to offer the webinar at a steep discount until the end of July! Click here for more info or to purchase.
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 27th:
Monday is quite a big day (astrologically speaking): the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 12:12am EDT; at this time, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Wednesday very early morning. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others. This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the first Quarter Moon.
Monday at 8:33am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in almost 5 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing, intensely-feeling, private Scorpio makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in fun-loving, extroverted, attention-seeking, proud Leo. We feel compelled to take action.
Last week on July 20th, the New Moon in Cancer was exact: “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.
As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 3-7 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus or Aquarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Monday early afternoon, a long-lasting, opportune Jupiter/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 12:07pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from July 9th on; and it will remain strong until Aug. 23rd. This aspect is an opportunity to expand and ground our perspectives around our dreams and ideals. This is also an opportunity for boundaries to dissolve — to open and relax.
Indeed, we are more attuned to the subtleties of our belief structures (individually and collectively speaking), and are therefore more inclined to dissolve anything that no longer works, all the while trusting the inner guidance of our higher self.
We tend to “feel” each other on an energetic level now; a sensitive approach is therefore recommended — as we are tapping into the collective experience, it might be wise to remember that everyone is working with the current energies as best as they can.
As such, even if some of us get overwhelmed or confronted by the Capricorn-energies out there (perhaps by facing some harsh realities and inner limitations), we all deserve some compassion, understanding, and forgiveness.
Ask yourself: How can I expand my current point of view about the collective and its limitations? What if kindness towards the world would bring peace into my life and my heart?
Creative or spiritual adventures might be a good fit with this planetary connection. We may also feel the need to daydream or inspire others.
Ask yourself: What if I allowed the Universe to co-create with me? What does the term “spiritual business goals” mean to me? If such goals called to me, where might I begin an exploration? What might “imaginative business planning” look like? What might show up in my world if I spent a little time contemplating or daydreaming on those things?
As best as you can, bring compassion and kindness towards your social and long-term explorations; remember: opportunities are openings, they aren’t necessarily handed to us — we have to “take” them and make something of them.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-23 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Pisces (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Neptune rules Pisces).
Also, on Monday early afternoon, a somewhat challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 1:36pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday (July 26th) on; and it will remain strong until Tuesday evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
This aspect marks a fork in the road: Will we step onto a path of learning about inner dialog and sharing ourselves with others by being open and curious? Or will we take the path that leads to a larger understanding around social structures and of our perspectives and attitudes around long-term goals and achievements?
Either way, we can develop a new perspective on how to approach these issues in our life. Awareness is key with this aspect: What is needed? How can we serve the broader view?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-22 degrees of Gemini or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
And, also on Monday early afternoon: a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 1:48pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Thursday evening (July 23rd) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening. We might feel confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic around love and money — so it’s best to wait until this transit is over, before making big moves in these areas.
If you choose to make long-term financial investments, buy or sell big-ticket items, or start brand-new relationships — at this time — it’s likely you will not see things as they truly are.
We are actually being asked to have faith, go with the flow; to let our intuition guide us in money and love — if we are able to do this, we will grow through it. As best as you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these 6 days — it might also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-24 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).
And, Monday early evening, a challenging Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 5:46pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Thursday evening (July 23rd) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening. This aspect brings some juicy energy to our conversations. This is a chance to have some discussions that have been overdue.
As best as you can, make it a productive discussion that serves you and others — a win-win — otherwise you might feel really awful afterwards. Also, watch out on the road for some crazy drivers… rushing might not necessarily get you there faster 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 13-20 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, or Libra? If so, you may feel…

Stay Open to Other Dimensions — Forecast for July 20th – 26th
This week’s headline items: the New Moon in Cancer becomes exact on Monday early afternoon (this also signifies the end of Eclipse season); Chiron’s Station phase ends on Tuesday; the Sun changes signs from Cancer to Leo on Wednesday, early morning; it’s time to start taking action on our New Moon intentions from Saturday, very early morning on; Mars enters its pre-Shadow phase later Saturday morning; Mercury finally ends its post-Shadow phase on Sunday afternoon.
There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early afternoon (for almost 2.5 hours), Tuesday evening (for a little over 23 hours), Friday evening (for almost 3 hours) and Sunday late evening (for a little over 3 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention two opportunities to further your own personal evolution at this time:

STAR Members, check your email, it was sent out to you on July 12th in the evening 😉
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 20th:
Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer. It will journey there until 4:16pm EDT. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say to (and about) us, so be kind to yourself and others. Emotional safety is important to us at this time: We like connecting to the familiar, home or family becomes our sanctuary.
Nurture yourself and others, but remember: Make sure your glass is filled before letting others drink from it — otherwise we might start resenting others for draining our energies. This Moon placement, last week on Saturday (July 18th), started the build up towards the New Moon (exact later today).
Monday at 1:33pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 28.5 degrees of Cancer, beginning a new Moon cycle, and officially ending Eclipse season. Yay! We have received our consciousness upgrades and can now move forward with any intentions we set in late June.
This is also the second New Moon in Cancer within a 4-week period. The last one, on June 20th, was a Solar Eclipse — and thus much more intense in nature than this one.
Cancer is the first water sign of the zodiac, as such, it relates to the development of the “emotional body” — so this Moon cycle will continue to amplify feelings, instincts and needs. Feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject.
Our feeling nature has been denied and suppressed for millennia, but we have begun to embrace it more fully — feelings are an essential source of information about our true needs — they are a dashboard that tells us what is healthy for us. When we don’t heed the information, we become dependent on others for validation and direction, or get lost in addictions and distractions.
With this second New Moon occurring in protective, introverted Cancer, we’ll continue to surround ourselves with quality and safety; we can expect anything connected to home, family, real-estate or childhood issues to be heightened in our awareness for the next four weeks.
Ask yourself: What does emotional maturity mean to me? How would I know if I had it?
With this New Moon we are dealing with a strong Saturn opposition to the New Moon, thus we might experience authoritarian or rigid attitudes — both toward and from others — and this could create some tension or oppositional behaviors.
As best you can, remain flexible and practice self-care, doing your best to take care of your emotional and physical body — that way, you’ll stay grounded in reality, and be less reactive.
Ask yourself: How could I be 5% more truthful to myself? How could I be 5% more self-responsible with my self-care? And for my responses to others?
Saturn’s opposition to the New Moon also invites us to… to read the whole New Moon article and get access to all the Coaching questions, click here.
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, Libra, or 0-1 degree of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase. So this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 1:33pm and 1:55pm on Monday, July 20th; and then again from 4:16pm (July 20th) until 8:27pm on Tuesday, July 21st — please note that all times are given in the Eastern Daylight Timezone — the timezone New York City occupies.
For more info on setting New Moon Intentions click here
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter, as I post reminders on July 20th and 21st to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉
Monday at 1:55pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 2.5 hours until 4:16pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to balance the need for the safe and familiar against a focus on career goals and long-term accomplishments. As best you can, remain flexible and practice self-care, doing your best to take care of your emotional and physical body — that way, you’ll remain able to stay grounded in reality, and less reactive.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 4:16pm EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?
Monday evening, a Sun/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 6:28pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday (July 17th) on; and it will remain strong until this Thursday evening. We are called to balance our inner emotional processes and “needs” with a focus towards our long-term goals, contributions, and social standing. As best as you can, give yourself permission to…

Feeling Triggered? — Forecast for July 13th – 19th
This week’s headline items: the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Thursday evening; Mercury’s station ends on Friday; Sunday is the last day before the New Moon becomes exact and Eclipse season ends.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very late morning (lasts a little over 1.5 hours); Wednesday late evening (2 hours); and Friday early evening (just over 17 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 13th:
Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries. It will journey there until 1:34pm EDT. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Monday very early morning, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions around personal desires and needs, versus our deep passion and focus on long-term goals. As best as you can, allow yourself to make space for both; flexibility and adaptability are key if we mean to move forward with our plans and projects…
Monday at 11:54am EDT, we enter a short Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 1.5 hours until 1:34pm EDT. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.
Make space both for building solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway, and for personal desires and needs. Ask yourself: What long-run benefits might I reap by taking it one step at a time? And (perhaps contrary to that) what does my inner teenager require to be happy at this time?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late morning until the early afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 1:34pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.
What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably,…

Open to Forgiving Ourselves & Others — Forecast for July 6th – 12th
This week’s headline items: Neptune’s station ends on Monday and Venus’s does likewise on Tuesday, while Mercury is starting its Station-phase on Wednesday and comes to a halt on Sunday early morning, ending its 3.5-week Retrograde phase in Cancer; Chiron’s 5-month Retrograde phase begins on Saturday late afternoon; Mercury begins its post-Shadow phase on Sunday early morning. On Sunday evening the last Quarter Moon in Aries becomes exact.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for a little over 30 minutes); Tuesday very early morning (37.5 hours); and Friday late evening (a little over an hour).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 6th:
Monday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn. It will journey there until 6:08am EDT.
Monday at 5:35am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 30 minutes until 6:08am EDT. Use this intuitive time to experience a sense of maturity, and commitment towards yourself and your long-term goals; for long-term success, focus on long-term projects that require a realistic approach or a solid commitment.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning ahead of time.
Monday at 6:08am EDT, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Wednesday afternoon. The Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, interactions more impersonal than personal; we likely have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
All of the following are also promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius: social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress — as you can see, we have our eyes set on the future (or turned toward outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.
Also, on Monday, Neptune resumes its normal pace through the sky, although retrograde, ending its station. What has come up in the last four weeks around resting, trusting and allowing? How closely are you in touch with your intuition? Now is a good time to…
