What Needs to Be Completed?
This week’s headline items: the last Quarter Moon in Aquarius becomes exact on Monday afternoon; Mercury changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Monday late evening; the Balsamic Moon phase begins Friday late morning/early afternoon; and Venus changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Saturday late evening.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday evening (for 2 hours), Friday early morning (for a little over 4 hours), and Sunday evening (for a brief 56 minutes).
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, May 3rd:
Monday is a big day (astrologically speaking): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late evening. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.
Monday early morning, a challenging Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:33am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Saturday (May 1st) on; it will remain strong until this Tuesday night. This aspect asks that we grow and evolve in the following areas: how we communicate, think, and what (or how) we share.
We may have to find creative solutions to communicate; we may have to learn about our thinking process and conditioning. “Listening” might not be our strong suit at this time: we want to share our opinions, concepts, and long-term visions without limitations — and are thus inclined toward exaggeration, often unintended.
We might experience stubbornness and have trouble agreeing how to put our ideas into practice. The upside to all this: we can be extraordinarily funny, interesting and creative.
As Jupiter and Mercury are exalted at the time of this aspect — due to both being in the last degree of their respective signs — impatience and self-righteousness might show up, but moving faster or digging our heels in will not necessarily get us where we would like to be. What if you slowed down just 5% when connecting with others? What if that helped you listen 5% more? What might become possible in your collaborations if you were 5% more aware of what you are assuming in any given moment?
If we were being completely honest with ourselves, is “being right” really all that it’s cracked up to be? Do you feel a greater or lesser connection to others when you insist on “being right”?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 25-29 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo, or 0-2 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius or Virgo? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Monday morning, a challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 6:02am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week Thursday night (April 30/31st) on; it will remain strong until this Thursday. We’re asked to stretch and grow beyond what we have previously known ourselves to be; our commitments and responsibilities towards the collective are calling us to get out of our comfort zone.
Find creative ways to honor both your comforts (and what you most value), and your desire to build a vision for humanity that lasts and is sustainable. Allow for a slow and steady approach, even if life puts up roadblocks, or throws some curve-balls.
What if you just knew that you could handle whatever shows up? Would you rather build structures that are sustainable for generations to come, or take a more enjoyable and down-to-earth approach to achieving things? Would you rather achieve status in your communities (in person or online) or honor and love yourself exactly as you are? What if it were not a question of “or” but of “and”?
What if you just decided to bring maturity and self-responsibility to the table when dealing with your various affiliations, even if you don’t agree all of the time?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 10-16 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo, Scorpio? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn).
Monday afternoon, at 3:50pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 13.5 degrees of Aquarius becomes exact. The Moon in Aquarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in Taurus. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Aquarius on Sunday morning (May 2nd). This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed — and what needs to be changed.
This Moon phase brings us closer to May 11th’s New Moon in Taurus. With the last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what needs to be completed. What — if anything — needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since April 11th? What did it mean for you? What actions could shift the things you seeded or started in mid-late April?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-16 degrees of Taurus, Aquarius, Leo or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this month’s last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Monday at 10:49pm EDT, Mercury changes signs from steady, slow-paced Taurus to curious, quick-witted Gemini, where it will journey until July 11th, longer than usual due to the Mercury Retrograde phase in late May/June. For the next 10 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: Mercury — the energy of communication — will pick up the pace of our lives just a little.
Mental exchanges and abilities take priority for the next 10 weeks — talking, writing, sharing, connecting to the world around us in whatever way we can (internet, phone, in person, TV, radio…). This is a time with great potential for studying and learning, curiosity and open-mindedness, and social/intellectual growth.
Make sure you don’t exhaust yourself during this time. As best as you can, keep taking breaks and let yourself see the larger picture now and again. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel…

Our Creative Core is Awakened
This week’s headline items: the Super Full Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Monday very late evening; Pluto comes to a halt, starting its 5-month Retrograde phase on Tuesday afternoon.
There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for a little over 3.5 hours), Wednesday morning (for a little over 3 hours), Friday late morning (for almost 3 hours), and Sunday late morning (for almost 5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, let me make a quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, April 26th:
Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra. It will journey there until 12:18pm EDT. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. Until this early afternoon will be a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday at 8:40am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 3.5 hours, until 12:18pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people, expand each other’s minds, and collaborate in a way that allows you to see the bigger picture.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning until the early afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 12:18pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Wednesday late morning/early afternoon. Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s therefore an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others. This Moon placement also starts the build up towards the Super Full Moon (exact tonight).
Monday very late evening, at 11:32pm EDT, the Full Moon in 7 degrees of Scorpio becomes exact. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio opposes the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus.
This Full Moon has heightened effects on us for two important reasons: first, it is a “Super Full Moon” (i.e. the Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth) — in fact, it is the first of three Super Full Moons in a row! Secondly, Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, is exalted, preparing to go Retrograde at 26.5º of Capricorn — less than 24 hours after the Full Moon becomes exact! All of this could increase emotional volatility but could also facilitate larger shifts in consciousness.
There are lots of other aspects worth mentioning in this Full Moon chart: a Stellium in Taurus, a T-Square with Saturn as the Focus point — and we will address all of them in a moment. If you are currently a Member of my online community, feel free to also watch my Super Full Moon video here.
I should also mention that we focused on Pluto’s powerful involvement with this month’s Super Full Moon chart, as it relates to our own individual birth charts, in our recent Forecasting Forum “Pluto Station-Retrograde, April-May 2021″: click here for more info and to get the mp4-video presentation of the live event.
This Full Moon shows us how far we have come, as well as what we must still release or transform, if we are to manifest what was begun at the time of the New Moon that occurred on April 11th.
For the next two weeks, we seek the balance and integration of two polarities, and are aware that something needs to be brought into alignment. The balance in question is between our physical attachments, aversions, and connections — symbolized by Taurus— and our emotional attachments, aversions, and connections (Scorpio).
The time of the Full Moon is always more extroverted and emotional. This particular one invites us to let go of fears or disempowering behaviors, and thereby break through to the next level of our evolution, individually and collectively.
So, here’s this Full Moon’s central question: As a society, are we living in alignment with our values, with what makes us happy and satisfied? How about as individuals? Do we feel empowered and emotionally fulfilled? Are there any fears in our way to achieving progress? Or any rigid thought processes? All right, let’s look at the signs involved in this polarity,… To read the whole Full Moon article, and get all the Coaching questions, click here.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday evening (for a little over 6 hours), Thursday morning (for a little over an hour), and Saturday morning (for a little over 5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, let me make a quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, April 19th:
Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. It will journey there until Tuesday very early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the today 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Monday at 6:29am EDT, Mercury changes signs from enthusiastic, fast-paced Aries to steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until May 3rd. For the next 2 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: we want to connect to others in a realistic, down-to-earth way and we “say it like it is”. We appreciate common sense; we rely on our senses when it comes to processing information.
A well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this Mercury position, so as long as Mercury is in Taurus, we will be drawn towards the “tasteful” in the realm of the five senses. We are more likely to have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and our ideas are often very practical and useful at this time.
When it comes to learning, we prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts for the next 2 weeks. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we are trying to absorb. We simply process information better when we can personalize it (“what use is it to me?”) and attach it to the practical world.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you may need to slow down and “smell the roses” 😉
Monday at 4:33pm EDT, the Sun also changes signs from bold, courageous Aries to steady, peaceful Taurus; it will journey there until May 20th. For the next four and a half weeks our attention is on physical pleasures and we are more aware of our need for comfort and consistency. The Sun in Taurus reminds us to slow down and smell the roses.
We are able to be very consistent and methodical, which helps us bring groundedness and reality to our new goals. We focus on what is most important to us. What do you value most? How do you feel about yourself and what you bring to the table?
All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Taurus Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Taurus, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next 4.5 weeks; as a Leo your vitality will most likely slow down and you might indulge in physical or material pleasures.
Monday at 8:03pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 6 hours, until 2:11am EDT (Tuesday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to remain flexible and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body…

Blast Through Challenges — Forecast for April 12th – 18th
This week’s headline items: Pluto starts its Station phase (slows down/preparing to go retrograde) on Tuesday; Venus changes signs from Aries to Taurus on Wednesday afternoon; and it’s time to start to take action on our New Moon intentions on Saturday.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday morning (for a little over 5.5 hours), Wednesday evening (for a little over 6.5 hours), and Saturday late morning (for almost 4.5 hours).
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, April 12th:
Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries. It will journey there until 1:44pm EDT. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
This Moon placement also started the New Moon cycle yesterday (Sunday, April 11th) at 10:30pm EDT. Feel free to watch my New Moon video now (if you haven’t watched it yet).
Monday at 8:06am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 5.5 hours, until 1:44pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with others and do something enjoyable. What if you got in touch with your passion for life, just for these 5.5 hours? What if you could inspire others just by being yourself?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning until the afternoon ahead of time.
Monday at 1:44pm EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until Thursday very early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉

On April 11th, at 10:31pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 22.5 degrees of Aries. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle; anything brand-new started in the next two weeks has the chance to get off to a great start. Click here to watch my New Moon video on the subject.
This New Moon chart has 4 out of 10 planets in Aries, as well as 2 asteroids. This Stellium in Aries consists of Chiron, Mercury, Ceres, the Moon, the Sun, and Venus. This asks us to show courage from our heart, to be unafraid to embrace who we are, and inspire others by forging our own path.
Ask yourself: Where am I being called to take a risk and try something new? What feeds my passions? What is the next step toward becoming an increasingly healthy, strong, curious, and flexible person? One who is not afraid to pursue personal goals and desires? One who speaks up for what needs healing in our society around the traditional masculine?
One of the many ways we can demonstrate courage is to allow ourselves to be in the condition of “not knowing” or “beginner’s mind”; at these times, we are more present, and creative potential is heightened. Ask yourself: Where could I bring a “beginner’s mind” to bear? Where do I need to let go of needing to know everything before I begin?
About this Stellium: let’s start with the close alignment between the New Moon and Venus in Aries.
We are invited to actively connect with others and do something enjoyable. Ask yourself: What if I got in touch with my passion for life, just for these next 28 days? What if I could inspire others just by being myself?
The New Moon/Venus alignment in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn, emphasizing that we are at a turning point…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 20-25 degrees of either Aries, Libra, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some intentions for this month’s Moon cycle — this process is especially powerful with the New Moon in Aries — and as always, this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact (and definitely not during a Moon void of course)
So this month, we have two opportune times frames for setting intentions. The first one lasts 9.5 hours, between 10:31pm on April 11th and 8:06am on April 12th; and the second one lasts 33 hours from 1:44pm on April 12th until 10:31pm on April 13th (as always, all times are EDT). For more info on setting New Moon Intentions click here.
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter as I post reminders on April 11th in the late evening, on April 12th in the afternoon/evening, and on April 13th throughout the day, to let you know when it is the most potent time to set your intentions 😉
