New Moon in Capricorn – the article

On Sunday afternoon (Jan. 2nd), at 1:33pm EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 12.5 degrees of Capricorn, launching a new Moon cycle.

There are three quick things I would like to mention before we get started:

  1. 1. On Jan. 8th we have a webinar “About all of 2022” Join us for a full forecast about the coming year and the setting of great Intentions for 2022! This webinar is not included in the monthly Forecasting Forum Series, so please sign up even if you are a Star Member! Early Bird Special is only $27 — for everyone!

2. I also want to mention that I will have a BIG 2-week Sale on my website from Jan. 8th-23rd! Everything will be discounted, and I mean, EVERYTHING! So stay tuned for that or keep checking my website for details!

3. Lia, my very talented, new, Certified Soul-Based Astrologer who joined my practice recently — we had a promotion for the first 10 people to book a Reading with her to get a 50% discount in exchange for filling out a brief survey and giving their feedback about her services! We still have 3 Whole Life Readings left for 50% off, so click on the link here now, to get this great discount! Thank you for all the enthusiasm to connect with Lia. We are able to get 10 people for the exchange 🙂 You can still connect with Lia, of course at her regular fee, which is still very affordable 😉

New Moons are good times to reflect on our lives and set new intentions. This is therefore a good time to go within, to plant a seed for anything we would like to accomplish over the next 28 days, and maybe even beyond.

In Capricorn, this New Moon directs us to reassess our relationship to power and authority. The next section of this forecast will dig into this in more detail — you may also want to watch my New Moon video 🙂

The highest vibration of Capricorn is self-mastery: the development of responsibility, resourcefulness, reliability, the ability to set realistic goals and establish healthy boundaries. The next 28 days are a perfect time to work some more on these areas.

This is the first New Moon of the year, and since Capricorn represents the quest for self-mastery on the physical plane, some useful questions you can ask yourself include:

What is my relationship to self-mastery? Am I going about things in a realistic way? What does “setting healthy boundaries” look like to me? What do I know about my own limitations? Other people’s? What are my priorities in connection with long-term goals? What does the word “integrity” bring out in me? Where am I on the road to self-mastery?

As best as you can, prepare for the future, make commitments, and recognize responsibilities — in other words, nurture your dreams in a realistic manner.

Focus on setting and achieving practical and attainable long-term goals, one step at a time, one day at a time — this is not about immediate results, it’s about the quality of the foundation you are building.

Capricorn also invites us to set the kind of realistic limits and boundaries that allow everyone involved to learn from the consequences of their choices. Ask yourself: Where in my life am I able to set realistic limits and boundaries? Where am I not? What might I be afraid of when I don’t?

Capricorn relates directly to the level of our maturity. Ask yourself: What would taking 100% responsibility for my life look like? What if I responded to situations in a way that respects and serves all those involved?

Do I respect the laws of matter? What am I willing to undergo to overcome adversity? How committed am I to that?

Let’s talk about some of the aspects connected to this particular New Moon chart…

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 10-15 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for the month’s Moon cycle — and the very best time to do this is after the New Moon becomes exact (but definitely not during a Moon void of course).

So this month, there are two best and most potent times to set intentions — the first would be any time between 1:33pm on Sunday, Jan. 2nd, and 11:21am on Monday late morning, Jan. 3rd — and the second would be between Monday late afternoon at 5:44pm and Tuesday early afternoon at 1:33pm (EST/New York time).

If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

Our Inner Authority

This week’s headline items: Jupiter re-enters the sign of Pisces late on Tuesday evening; Mercury enters its pre-Shadow phase on Wednesday early morning. On Thursday, Venus’ Station phase ends, though the planet remains retrograde, the Balsamic Moon phase begins in the morning, and in the evening Mars moves over the degree of Dec 4th’s Solar Eclipse. On Friday, Chiron resumes its normal pace (ending its station); very early on Sunday morning, Mercury changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius on Sunday and the New Moon in Capricorn becomes exact that afternoon.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late afternoon (for a brief 5 mins); Thursday early afternoon (for 6 hours); and Saturday very early morning (for almost 15 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention these two things one more time:

1. As regular readers will know, a very talented new Certified Soul-Based Astrologer named Lia joined my practice recently, and we had a promotion: the first 10 people to book a Reading with her receive a 50% discount on a Life Reading, in exchange for filling out a brief survey and giving their feedback about her services!

These went very quickly, and as of this writing, we have just 3 Readings left at that introductory price, so click on this link now, and take advantage of this great discount while it lasts!

2. On January 8th at 11:30am EST/4:30pm London time, I will give a Look Ahead for All of 2022! This webinar is a Special Event, and therefore not included in the monthly Forecasting Forum series.

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, December 27th:

Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day. It will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. Until then, the energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating — these next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Monday very early morning, we become more aware that we need to find a balance between two very different energies — on the one hand, taking a compassionate approach towards our personal goals, while being assertive in the world — and on the other hand, our need to connect and collaborate with others. Ask yourself: what if taking a compassionate approach towards myself actually made for more fulfilling connections with others? (Moon in Libra opposes Chiron in Aries, exact at 2:39am EST)

Monday early morning, is an opportunity for collaboration and an exploration of your passions for life. How might a new adventure support your connections with others? How about vice versa? (Moon in Libra sextiles Mars in Sagittarius, exact at 5:07am EST)

Monday morning, calls for some inner adjustments, as we feel uneasy or awkward, and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, we want to innovate in the area of our values (and maybe also have some financial breakthroughs); on the other hand, the feel the need to attend to our one-on-one relationships, supporting them (and perhaps collaborating). (Moon in Libra quincunxes Uranus in Taurus, exact at 7:13am EST)

Also, on Monday morning, we sense harmonious connections even though we are focused on making progress. Where our visions for the future are concerned, we are invited to bring a new level of authenticity, and make realistic choices around connecting with others. (Moon in Libra trines Saturn in Aquarius, exact at 7:55am EST)

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday late morning (for a little over 7 hours); Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for almost 2 hours); and Sunday early morning (for almost 8 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, December 20th:

Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next two and a half days 😉

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, or you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Sunday night/Monday very early morning, we are invited to balance our need for self-care and emotional connection, against long-term thinking and strategizing to achieve our goals.(Moon in Cancer opposes Mercury in Capricorn, exact at 1:25am EST)

Monday early morning brings an opportunity to connect to family (or friends that feel like family) and create breakthroughs around things that we enjoy through our five senses (e.g. food). This may also be a good tim e to find a unique or global approach on financial matters that bring us a sense of emotional security. (Moon in Cancer sextiles Uranus in Taurus, exact at 3:17am EST)

Monday afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:18pm. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday evening (Dec. 18th) on, and it will remain strong until,  this Wednesday morning (Dec. 22nd). This aspect supports a connection between our higher mind and our day-to-day mind. We are able to receive inspiration from higher places and maybe even look into the future.

We are able to communicate our vision for a better future; insights arise from these communications. Original, creative insights and ideas can appear out of nowhere; as best as you can, stay open to these unique “downloads” — they might change how you see and proceed with life 😉

This is a good time to communicate online, engage in computer-related activities or scientific projects, and also for anything metaphysical. Group activities like Meetups are great things to be involved with right now — especially if they allow us to share our vision for a better financial future.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 8-14 degrees of Capricorn, Taurus, or Virgo? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Monday late evening, around 11pm EST, Mars in Sagittarius transits the degree of May 26th Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius-Gemini —  and we may experience something that provides insight, most likely into our desire for freedom or adventure. We are invited to pay attention to how we act or react to certain things — and to demonstrate our passion for life and for living in ways that help us connect to others, rather than leaving us feeling superior to them.

Observe how this plays out for you today or tomorrow: Where (or with whom) are you looking to interact? What are you most aware of? You are invited to act to release any outdated beliefs or cultural conditioning. What might clear the way, so you can move forward powerfully, with an open mind and clear information?

Focusing on Practical Matters

This week’s headline items: Mars changes signs from Scorpio to Sagittarius on Monday early morning, and Mercury changes signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn on Monday afternoon; Venus’ station intensifies on Wednesday; Neptune resumes its normal pace on Friday; the Full Moon in Gemini becomes exact on Saturday late evening; Venus comes to a halt on Sunday early morning — starting her 6-week Retrograde phase; finally, Chiron comes to a halt on Sunday late morning, ending its 5-month Retrograde phase.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday late evening (for almost 5.5 hours); Thursday late morning (for 4.5 hours); and Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (for a little over 3.5 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:

If none of this applies to you, send me a pdf of your birth chart).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, December 13th:

Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday early morning. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Monday early morning, at 4:53am EST, Mars changes signs from passionate Scorpio to adventurous Sagittarius, where it will journey until Jan. 24th, 2022. With this placement, we are going to feel a little restless, maybe even impatient at times — we want to explore. This is a great time to get into sports or some athletic activity. We have so many ideas and interests that we can’t just stick to one thing right now, so we may have several projects running at the same time.

It’s a time when we prefer to improvise and just wing it. That makes it more fun and brings a sense of adventure to our day. We also like to have some good debates with others, persuading them to share our beliefs. It’s not the best time to get too serious about life, as we prefer to feel free-flowing and excited about new things — especially when we can learn something new 😉

If you have an Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to feel more adventurous and probably more impatient. You may want to explore new sports or physical activities. If you are a Sagittarius Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized for the next 6 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.

Monday early afternoon, at 12:52pm EST, Mercury changes signs from optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius to practical, accomplishment-oriented, status-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Jan. 2nd, 2022.

This is a time when our minds like to make concrete plans for the future. A systematic, practical approach to reaching our goals is now favored; we are good at focusing on practical matters and getting down to the essentials.

We do not waste any words at this time — what we say is truthful and to the point. We see reality very clearly now — and it might not look as rosy as we thought. As best as you can, use this time to get in touch with what’s real in your life — without going down the “rabbit hole” of pessimistic inadequacy 😉

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be more serious and possibly more eager to accomplish concrete goals. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in Capricorn? If so, you will most likely feel more chatty for the next 3 weeks.

Monday late evening, at 9:52pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 5.5 hours, until 3:11am EST (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and move a project forward that serves your community. It’s time for a new perspective: What new vantage point could we take? What needs to be considered, so we can move forward faster?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late evening until Tuesday very early morning ahead of time.

Full Moon in Gemini — the article

On Dec. 18th at 11:36pm EST the Full Moon becomes exact, in 27.5 degrees of Gemini; the entrance of the Moon into Gemini Thursday afternoon (Dec. 16th) started the energetic build up towards this Full Moon.

The Moon in chatty, versatile Gemini opposes the Sun in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius. If you are already a Member of my online community, feel free to watch my Full Moon video for more details.

Since the last Lunation was a powerful Solar Eclipse, we are still in Eclipse season until the next New Moon on Jan. 2nd, 2022. This means that, until then, we continue to integrate our evolutionary downloads and consciousness upgrades. We might feel more tired or even exhausted because of those inner processes.

Even though the current Moon Nodes remain in Gemini-Sagittarius until January 18, 2022, this Full Moon is no longer a Lunar Eclipse, because the Moon Nodes are too far away (in degrees) from the Moon and the Sun.

The Moon Nodes in Gemini-Sagittarius (since May 2020) and the current Full Moon occurring in those same signs does, however, intensify the quest to find a balance between those two polarities.

Feel free to also check out my webinar in connection with those Moon Nodes (if you haven’t seen it yet), to get a more specific take on how this might be impacting you personally.

You can ask yourself over the next two weeks: What have I learned about the difference between observation and opinion since May of 2020? What do I now know about the difference between fact and interpretation? Or perception vs. understanding?

On May 26th, 2021 there was a Lunar Eclipse at 5.5º Sagittarius-Gemini. This Full Moon at 27.5º Gemini-Sagittarius, highlights these two signs once again.

This current Lunar cycle will continue a conversation that started back in late May around our beliefs and attitudes towards government and how we meet challenges that are coming up as a collective.

You can ask yourself here: Could I take responsibility for my part in that conversation and the stories to which I am attached? Am I willing to participate in that conversation in a mature way? Am I hiding behind old beliefs and social conditioning?

Am I able to acknowledge my limitations and shortcomings without making others wrong? Am I willing to approach this unique collective situation with a curious mind and an open heart?

Whenever a planet changes direction, or squares the Moon Nodes, its archetypal significance is intensified — in other words, the planet’s energies become exalted.

This current Full Moon has two highly exalted planets:
Venus in
Capricorn & Chiron in Aries (both planets changing directions within 12 hours of the Full Moon becoming exact); Jupiter squares the Moon Nodes (therefore Jupiter is even more significant than just being the ruler of Sagittarius); Neptune in Pisces just ended its station the day before the Full Moon becomes exact, and squares the Full Moon polarity in Gemini-Sagittarius.

There are several other important aspects in this Full Moon chart and I will go into all of them in detail in a moment — but first, let’s address the Gemini-Sagittarius polarities:

Full Moons illuminate the higher/lighter vibration as well as the denser Shadow side of each sign. As our collective consciousness continues to awaken, what’s been in the shadows comes to the forefront more and more, so we can see it more clearly and deal with it on a conscious level.

The lighter side of Gemini is all about…

Our Inner Wolf is Wide-Awake

This week’s headline items: we are still in Eclipse season all week; Venus starts to slow down (station) on Wednesday, preparing for her Retrograde phase. On Thursday, Chiron stations (again) — preparing to end its 5-month Retrograde phase; and the First Quarter Moon in Pisces becomes exact on Friday evening.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very late evening (for a little over 7 hours); Thursday early morning (for almost 5 hours); and Saturday afternoon (for a little over 2 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to make an important announcement:

A very talented new Certified Soul-Based Astrologer is joining my practice. Her name is Lia Pelusi, and she will start giving 60 minute Whole Life Readings for $125.

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, December 6th:

Monday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉

Monday after 2:43am EST, it’s finally time to set our Solar Eclipse Intentions…. since we just had an Eclipse, we get to set some powerful intentions for the entire length of an Eclipse cycle — in other words, for the next 6 months!

Between 2:43am and 11:42pm EST today (Dec. 6th) is the best and most potent time to do so.

Make them powerful: They cover the next six months. If possible, align them with the Sagittarian energy that I spoke about in my Solar Eclipse video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video.

While writing your intentionsask yourself: Where do I insist on “being right”?  How do I usually feel afterward? Could I bring an open & compassionate awareness to this?

What stories have I been telling myself about life? If I don’t go into stories, what universal truths feel immediately in alignment with my direct experience of life right now?

For more info on how to best set your Eclipse Intentions, click here to read my article on the subject.

Monday morning, an opportune Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 6:41am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday (Dec. 3rd) on; and it will remain strong until this week, Thursday evening (Dec. 9th). This brings an opportunity to connect our personal passions to our Soul’s passions. We are resourceful and persistent when pursuing a goal, bringing tremendous effort and focus to bear.

This is an opportunity to be committed, determined and passionate, with no half-measures; it’s also an opportunity to feel more confident about our shared resources with others. Strategic thinking and execution are favored right now, as is eliminating wastes of time and energy; it’s also an opportunity for deeper insights into the social structures we want to transform.

Ask yourself: What is my relationship to power? Do I distinguish between the power that comes from within, versus that which is connected to external components?

Do I feel empowered in my chosen contributions to society and the world at large? Do I feel comfortable with the social structures that are currently in place — and with the limitations they bring? Could it perhaps be useful to release any fears of scarcity and resulting distrust? Could I use this as an opportunity to focus on the actions I can actually take to support a more empowered world?

Remember though: An “opportunity” is just an opening, it’s not automatically granted — we have to “step up” to the opening, then through it…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces, or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Mars’s movements and aspects; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Monday late evening, at 11:42pm EST, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 7 hours, until 6:49am EST (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to investigate your deepest motivations and align them with your long-term goals and achievements. We are capable of great focus for this period.

As with all opportunities in life, this one is not simply handed to us, we have to make something of it. Might deeper perspectives into our psyche move us closer to long-term goals?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late evening until Tuesday morning ahead of time.

As mentioned earlier, a very talented new Certified Soul-Based Astrologer will be joining my practice. Her name is Lia Pelusi, and she will start giving 60-minute Whole Life Readings for $125. The first 10 people to book with her through my website will get a 50% discount, so click here and book a Reading with her now!

If you haven’t met her yet, feel free to watch our chat about the last Mercury Retrograde phase in Libra, here

Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius – the article

On Dec. 4th at 2:43am EST, a total Solar Eclipse sweeps across Antarctica. People located at the southernmost tips of South America, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to see partial phases. This New Moon (Solar Eclipse) becomes exact at 12.5 degrees of Sagittarius, launching a new Moon and Eclipse cycle.

Solar Eclipses are extra-powerful New Moons that take place approximately every 6 months; during a Solar Eclipse, the Moon momentarily interrupts the normal flow of solar radiation, destabilizing existing configurations of energy and reorganizing consciousness to a higher level. Solar Eclipses indicate the beginning of a new experience, project, or cycle.

This is the last of four Eclipses in 2021. While there is a New Moon each month, Eclipses occur only 4-7 times a year, when the Sun, Moon, and Earth are precisely enough aligned. You may also want to watch my Solar Eclipse video.

Eclipses usually come in pairs (Solar and Lunar). Eclipse season starts 14 days before the first Eclipse (in this case, the Lunar Eclipse in Taurus), and continues through the time of the second (for this Eclipse season, that would be the Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius). This Eclipse Season started back on Nov. 4th and will last until Jan. 2nd, 2022.

The Sun and Moon are connected to one of the Moon Nodes during an Eclipse, switching between the North and South Node Eclipses, emphasizing the evolutionary upgrades that are available to us during such times.

This is the second South Node Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius since the Moon Nodes entered Gemini/Sagittarius in May 2020 and is also the last South Node Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius for the next 18 years.

South Node Eclipses ask us to release or redefine energies or attachments that no longer serve our Soul’s evolution. They highlight past issues that need our attention, so we can grow beyond our conditioning, individually and collectively.

Ask yourself: What has shifted for me in regards to my perspectives towards life since Dec. 2020? What believes, expectations, or attitudes, if any, have I redefined or released?

What past issues came up around my social, cultural, or religious conditioning, between Dec. 2020 – June 2021? Where could I take a closer look at those issues over the next 6 months and grow beyond that conditioning? If I take a moment to look beyond my conditioning, what has my direct experience been so far? What needs to either be completed or go to the next level now?

Eclipses are crossroads or turning points along our Soul’s Journey. They are often marked by events or situations that signify a critical shift in our lives, nudging us to either change and grow, or face greater difficulties at the next turning point. The next turning point for this Eclipse will be in early March when the Sun reaches 12.5º of Pisces and squares the Solar Eclipse degree.

Solar Eclipses, in particular, often correspond with major endings and beginnings. They occur close to the same degree every 19 years and the last time we had a South Node Solar Eclipse in a very close degree was on Dec. 4th, 2002.

We are likely to experience a resonance between now and that time — “resonant”, rather than identical — so think back to the Winter of 2002/2003, and ask yourself: Were there any major endings and beginnings? What was important to me back then? If I were to take those priorities to the next level, where would that next level find me?

If you’re looking for more guidance on those questions, I would suggest taking a look at your Natal Chart — the House placement of the Eclipse will indicate which area of life is ready to release outdated beliefs and social conditioning and go to a new level of consciousness. If that idea appeals, check out my 30-minute class, “How to Read Your Birth Chart”.

Solar Eclipses are a good time to go within, to seed anything we would like to redefine or release over the next 6 months — we’ll dig into this in more detail towards the end of this article, when we talk about setting Solar Eclipse Intentions.

PLEASE NOTE, that setting Intentions for an Eclipse is not the same as setting Intentions for a regular New Moon!!!!

With the Solar Eclipse in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, we seek to expand our day-to-day knowledge and look for a larger perspective.

For the next six months, ask yourself: What philosophies most resonate with me? What life perspectives are no longer serving me? What stories have I been telling myself about life? What universal truths feel immediately in alignment with my direct experience of life right now?

Lots to consider with this Eclipse chart…

This New Moon/Solar Eclipse will conjunct Mercury, quincunx Uranus in Taurus, sextile Saturn in Aquarius, and trine Chiron in Aries. Neptune in Pisces is exalted at the time of the Eclipse, and it squares Mercury in Sagittarius. Jupiter, the ruler of Sagittarius, currently in Aquarius squares Mars in Scorpio. Venus & Chiron will start to slow down and start their Station phases very soon after the Eclipse becomes exact. More about all that in a moment, but first let’s take a look at the Mercury/Sun/Moon alignment in Sagittarius

Again, because Eclipses are so powerful, they require a bigger orb than a regular Full or New Moon. I usually use a 5º orb instead of 2º… so since this Solar Eclipse takes place in 12.5 degrees of Sagittarius:

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 7-18 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Setting Intentions for a Solar Eclipse is a little different from the regular monthly New Moon process — after all, we are setting them for the whole 6-month Eclipse cycle, rather than just the next 28 days.

Solar Eclipse Intentions are best done 48 hours after the Eclipse becomes exact. We are downloading new templates at the time of an Eclipse, and the energies are quite intense, so we want to wait until it all settles down a little before setting our intentions — we also definitely do not want to do this during a Moon void of course.

Given all this, there are two best and most potent times to set your Intentions for this Solar Eclipse:

The first one lasts 21 hours, between 2:43am and 11:42pm on Monday (Dec. 6th), and the second one lasts for almost 20 hours, between 6:49am on Tuesday (Dec. 7th) and 2:43am on Wednesday (Dec. 8th) — (in US Eastern Time — i.e. the New York time zone).

Set powerful intentions — again, they cover the next six months — and if possible, align them with the Sagittarian energy!

If you live in a timezone other than EST (US East Coast-time), and converting time zones isn’t your thing, I suggest joining my Facebook Fan-page and/or following me on Twitter, as I post reminders when it’s time to set your intentions 😉

Attuned to the Subtleties of Human Interaction

This week’s headline items: Neptune is still exalted all week (until Dec. 17th) — due to its Station phase in 20.5 degrees of Pisces; the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Tuesday evening; Neptune ends its 5-month Retrograde phase on Wednesday morning; a powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius becomes exact on Saturday very early morning.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday very late evening (for 7.5 hours); Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for almost 7 hours); and Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (for almost 6.5 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to offer:

If you are still looking for some holiday gifts for your friends or family, consider giving them:

  • an Astrology Reading  — so they can find a better relationship with themselves & the universe
  • a Coaching-Healing session — so they can process feelings or traumas from the past year or from earlier in life, or simply learn better how to thrive now and in the future
  • one of my webinars — to learn more about their own chart in relationship to all the current planetary movements, & how they impact them
  • a yearly Universal Membership — so they can stay aligned with the cosmos for a whole Year
  • a yearly Star Membership — so they can stay aligned, learn more about their own chart, and get many discounts on my site
  • one of my Soul-Based Astrology courses — so they can learn about this powerful tool of Astrology & support themselves and others on this human journey that we are all on.

==> If you already have all of your gifts or you don’t know anyone who is into Astrology, consider asking for one of the above gift ideas for yourself from a friend or relative!!! After all, it’s what you love!

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, November 29th:

Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 3:55am EST; at that time, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday morning; The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating; these next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Monday morning, a harmonious Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 9:10am EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Wednesday evening (Nov. 24th) on; and it will remain strong until this Friday evening (Dec. 3rd). This aspect brings the ability to endow what we feel passionate about with our creativity — and connect it to a higher love.

Our animalistic, instinctual/survival nature is able to connect to compassion and understanding.

We can now bring light to all of our inner dark places; through loving ourselves, we can transform that darkness into the gift of feeling powerfully connected to ourselves.

As this aspect is taking place in Scorpio and Pisces, we are connecting to our goals and dreams from an emotional place that is deeply spiritual and transformational. We are able to let go of our fears and attachments and are able to have faith that everything will turn out just as it needs to.

Those of us who have our Ascendant (or personal planets) in 17-24 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces, or Cancer will be touched in a particularly beautiful way by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)

Monday evening, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 9:41pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday evening (Nov. 27th) on; and it will remain strong until this Wednesday evening. This aspect is a wonderful possibility for active healing in regards to our conditioning and day-to-day thinking structures.

We can bring compassion, both for ourselves and for others, to communications that trigger us. We are able to allow more space for the “bigger picture” as we share our stories. Acceptance and understanding of our own and others’ “Human-ness ” come more easily now. Humor can be a helpful way to explore our own humanity…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-12 degrees of Sagittarius, Aries, or Leo? An Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will be…
