On March 10th, at 5am EDT/9am London-time,theMoon aligns with the Sun in 20 degrees of Pisces, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free also to watch my New Moon video on the subject
This is the last Lunation before we enter Eclipse Season — which starts on March 15th and lasts until April 18th.
Eclipse Season is usually an unpredictable time, as we are recalibrating on a physical, mental and emotional level which gives us a chance to move to the next level of our evolution – on a personal and collective level.
New Moons mark the ending and beginning of a monthly cycle and are an optimal time to pause, reflect, and set new Intentions for the next 28 days.
This New Moon is another SuperMoon (the second of three Super New Moons in a row). These occur when the Moon is closest to the Earth (at the time of a New or Full Moon) and are more powerful. This means greater awareness of the issues connected to the particular New Moon energy.
Since this one occurs in Pisces, this Super New Moon invites us to connect with our inner divinity and ability to receive, trust our intuition, and contribute to life from a heart-centered and empathic place.
This Super New Moon charthas four planets inPisces, including the Sun, Moon, Saturn, and Neptune. Neptune (the ruler of Pisces) is within 7 degrees of the New Moon, still close enough to make an impact and invite us to open our hearts and dissolve anything that keeps us separate from that heart connection.
The New Moon sextiles Uranus in Taurus, making this an opportune time to tune into the unique value we each have.
Mars in Aquarius is most aspected in this Super New Moon chart. It semi-sextiles the New Moon in Pisces, sextiles Chiron in Aries, and squares Uranus in Taurus.
This will bring an opportunity for more profound healing, individually and collectively speaking. But we are also invited to stretch ourselves and grow beyond what we have known ourselves to be. I will go into all of this in more detail in a moment, but first, let’s talk about the Pisces-energy:

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 18-22 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly for the next 28 days. Monday,the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoCuntil 9:29am EST. Use this intuitive time to find a balance between head and heart, facts and faith, reason and intuition.
It’s a great time for connecting with others and being of service. You may also want to talk to your pets or engage in more spiritual conversations that can also support your physical well-being.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.
Monday at 9:29am EST, theMoon entersharmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day; it will journey there until Wednesday morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-care is key until Wednesday morning!
Monday morning, requires some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice, one that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges…
On the one hand, the desire to be actively engaged in collaborating with like-minded people who share our vision for a better future — and on the other hand, the need to nurture ourselves and stay in touch with our feeling body.(Moon in Cancer quincunxes Venus & Mars in Aquarius, exact at 5am & 7:30am EST)
Monday afternoon,a Chiron/North Node alignment in almost 17 degrees of Aries becomes exact at 4:13pm EST. This alignment started to build in July of 2023 and will last until June 17th, 2024; it is at its most intense between January 24th and March 25th, 2024.
The last time we experienced this exact alignment in Aries was on Feb. 14th, 1969 — 55 years ago! The most recent Chiron-North Node alignment took place in Aquarius, on June 2nd, 2008. Before then, there was an alignment in Gemini on July 4th, 1984.
Chiron represents a bridge between the physical and the spiritual world. It is also referred to as the Wounded Healer.
It invites us to focus on a more holistic approach towards our passions and our physical activities — in other words, a healing process of the masculine energies in our world. We may feel more physically sensitive or humbled by our current human journey — and it is essential that we see ourselves and everyone else out there as “human”,
Our human nature comes with a feeling of separation, various limitations, and sometimes painful experiences. Our spiritual nature comes with an understanding that all is well and that compassion and love heal our feelings of separation and abandonment. We are now asked to integrate these two “natures”.
The North Node represents our collective and individual Soul’s Journey. It now invites us to make an effort to live from the archetypical energy of Aries. This means we need to trust our impulses, follow our passion, be courageous, and be ourselves completely, without apologies.
With this alignment, Chiron sets the agenda for our current North Node journey. With Chiron involved, our North Node journey focuses on a healing process of the masculine energies in our world. Compassion, love, and understanding are required on an individual and collective level if we want to move our relationship with the masculine to a higher vibrational place.
This is a very humbling experience. We are invited to be compassionate leaders in our own lives, embracing our humanity and inspiring the same in others.
It is important that we see ourselves and everyone else out there as “human” — and that we acknowledge that the human experience is not always an easy one, especially when we hold on to the ideas of separation and duality.
When we learn to stay away from judgments of ourselves and others and embrace our humanness through self-compassion and understanding, we become the Healers the world needs right now.
Ask yourself: Could I show the world, by example, what it looks like to be a humble and compassionate leader who inspires and doesn’t judge?

The next Full Moon will be “exact” on February 24th, at 7:30am EST in 5.5 degrees of Virgo — and by then, we are halfway through the Lunar cycle that started on Feb. 9th.
Look at the New Moon Intentions you set around Feb. 10th or 11th, and ask yourself: How far have I come with those Intentions? If I’m not where I’d like to be with my goals, what new course might bring them closer?

Monday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces until 8:26am EST. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative than usual. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all, especially those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But that idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
Monday at 7:32am EST, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last for 1 hour, until 8:26am EST. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to tap into your intuitive and imaginative abilities — then focus anew on your long-term goals — so as best as you can, allow your pursuits to be guided by your intuitive knowing!
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning ahead of time.
Monday at 8:26am EST, the Moon moves intopioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday late morning. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.
Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.
Monday night/Tuesday very early morning at 1:05am EST, Mars changes signs from ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn to freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until March 22nd. During this time, we enjoy surprising ourselves and others.
The tried-and-true methods of getting things done are far too boring for us right now. We are looking for unique and original goals, and we tend to have a rather original, forward-thinking view of the world now.
What if you suddenly said, “I am going to surprise myself” when you were least expecting it?
Mental and intellectual pursuits are important to us now. The Aquarian ideal of equality is strong with this position, so we also place a lot of value on freedom and individuality — our own and that of others.
With Mars in this fixed sign, we will definitely need our independence, especially in personal relationships — and we are not easily pushed around. However, we do love connecting with like-minded people at this time (in person or online), so if you have a special cause or community project that you like to engage in, go for it!
It’s best to give ourselves and others lots of space; if we feel boxed in, we may rebel or act contrary. In general, we may feel a desire to push our agenda on others — not in an aggressive way, though… more in a creative manner.
As best as you can, bring a sense of openness to your approach to people and situations. Be aware of feeling superior to others: if you find yourself thinking that someone (or a “class” or group of people) is less “special” than you, put your hand over your heart and ask, “What would my heart say to this?”
The last time Mars journeyed through Aquarius was March 6th – April 14th, 2022. Think back to those times: what got initiated around then? How could you move that to the next level?
If you have an Aries Sun- or Rising-sign, you are going to feel more detached, forward-thinking, and freedom-loving. You may want to change things in your life that have outlived their use.

This New Moon is also a SuperMoon — the first of three Super New Moons in a row, when the Moon is nearest to the Earth, increasing its gravitational effects on ocean tides, tectonic plates, and our emotional body. If we allow it, Super Moons can lead to significant shifts in consciousness.
Since this one occurs in Aquarius, this Super New Moon invites us to go out there and connect with “our people”– with a tribe that resonates, a cause that feels aligned with our values and our need for stability and comfort. This connection serves a larger vision for our financial future and the future of our planet, etc.
This New Moon takes place only 6 hours before the Chinese New Yearbegins, marking the beginning of theYear of the Yang Wood Dragon. This symbolizes vigor, charm, and strength. It also represents royalty (the Emperor), wisdom, and prosperity. Therefore, a Dragon Year brings good fortune, power, passion, and new opportunities.
The Wood year is a time for quick growth and development. There can be sudden breakthroughs and fast changes. The Wood and Dragon energy combination could be overwhelming for some of us.
Anticipate a year that is exciting, creative, and transformational. Risk-taking and forceful pursuit of our goals will yield great results. Life’s pace is fast and dynamic; anything can happen in a Dragon year. Be prepared for an unpredictable and possibly volatile year. The motto for this year could be: “Never a dull moment.”

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 18-23 degrees of Aquarius,Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio?If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Finally, let’s talk “New Moon Intentions“… The New Moon is the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact and not during a Moon void of Course phase.
There will be a Moon VoC starting with the New Moon on Feb. 9th, which means we are best off waiting until the next dayto set our intentions.

This week’s headline items: there will be Leap Day on Thursday (we are getting an extra day in February this year! Yay!). There will be an extra-long Moon void of Course from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday late evening; and the last Quarter Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Sunday late morning.
This week’s headline items: Venus, Mars, and Pluto in Aquarius are within 10 degrees of each other all week; a long-term Chiron-North Node alignment in Aries becomes exact on Monday afternoon; Mercury changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces on Friday very early morning; the Full Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Saturday morning.
The next Full Moon will be “exact” on February 24th, at 7:30am EST in 5.5 degrees of Virgo — and by then, we are halfway through the Lunar cycle that started on Feb. 9th.
