Join me as I share about the current Mercury-Neptune Square:
* Mercury, ruler of Gemini, currently in its own sign, stationing (exalted), preparing to go Retrograde (on May 29th)
* Mercury squares Neptune in Pisces (until June 10th, an unusually long time), then again from July 2nd – 8th
* Use the Coaching questions from this video to align yourself with the current energies: feel free to journal or mediate on these questions, and allow the answers to come to you from an intuitive place.
My next MONTHLY FORECASTING FORUM — which is a 90+ minute webinar — will be on Friday, May 28th at 11am PDT/2pm EDT/7pm BST (London-time).
Please note that we’ll take a look at Jupiter’s first pass through Pisces and the upcoming two Eclipses (May-June). We will look to see how the current energies impact us personally by looking at where these energy patterns land in our birth charts.
If you want to know how these powerful transits are going to impact you personally, SIGN UP to join the webinar LIVE, or register to receive an mp4/video presentation within 24 hours of the live event.

by Sonja Francis | May 20, 2021 | Astrological Forecasts, Astrology Articles, Lunar Eclipse
On Wednesday, May 26th at 7:14am EDT, a powerful Full Moon in 5.5 degrees of Sagittarius becomes exact. This is a Total Lunar Eclipse of a SuperMoon (i.e., the Moon is closer to the Earth than normal) and as such, this Full Moon’s energy is unusually intense.
Even apart from that, there is a lot to cover with this Eclipse — it is connected to a mutable T-square, with Jupiter as the Focal Point, and it has two Stationing planets: Saturn in Aquarius & Mercury in Gemini!
If you are already a Member of my online community, you can learn more about this month’s Super Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse by clicking here to watch my video
Lunar Eclipses direct our attention to whatever needs to be integrated and balanced, both on the collective and individual levels, over a longer period of time (usually 6 months). Get ready for some big shifts in your life, especially around your relationship with your own belief structures, and around your ability to learn, remain adaptable, and use your “day-to-day mind” intelligently.
Our physical and emotional bodies strongly feel the intensity of it all, so keep in mind: Eclipses ultimately support a shift in consciousness and thus bring us closer to our Soul’s path.
This is the second Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius since the Moon Nodes moved into Gemini/Sagittarius back on May 5th, 2020 — and the Moon Nodes play a crucial role during Eclipses! Feel free to also check out my webinar on those Moon Nodes (if you haven’t seen it yet). We talk about the connection to our own birth charts… and it’s currently available at a discount!
The last Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius in the same degree as this one was on May 26th, 2002… Think back to that time: What shifts in perspective happened then? What is possible now?
Let’s take a closer look at this Lunar Eclipse:
The Moon in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius (which is itself aligned with the South Node) is making an opposition to the Sun in curious, quick-witted, versatile Gemini (which is aligned in turn with the North Node).
Full Moons balance two opposing archetypes, and reconcile their Shadow sides — in this instance, Gemini deals with information, intelligence, and communication, while Sagittarius is concerned with meaning, truth, and wisdom.
The Shadow side of Gemini brings…

Because Eclipses are so powerful, they require a bigger orb than a regular Full or New Moon. I usually use a 5º orb instead of 2º… so since this Lunar Eclipse takes place in 5.5º of Sagittarius:
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-11 degrees of Sagittarius, Gemini, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you are more affected by this month’s powerful Super Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Mutual Respect & Loyalty
This week’s headline items: Eclipse season remains in strong effect all week. The Saturn Station intensifies on Monday and that day also marks the time to start taking actions on our New Moon intentions. On Tuesday, Mercury starts to slow down, as it starts its Station phase, preparing to go retrograde. The first Quarter Moon in Leo becomes exact on Wednesday afternoon; the Sun changes signs from Taurus to Gemini on Thursday afternoon; finally, Saturn comes to a halt and begins its yearly Retrograde phase on Sunday early morning.
There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday very early morning (for a little over 6 hours), Wednesday afternoon (for almost 2 hours), Friday late afternoon (for a little over 5.5 hours), and Sunday early evening (for almost 5.5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, let me mention this:
If you missed last week’s PREMIERE of my NEW Interview Series “How to Deal with Uncertainty & Change“, feel free to watch it here. As we move through this time of heightened change and unpredictability, I will be interviewing people I love and respect, chatting about the daily routines and practices that have provided them the greatest level of support over these past 13 months (or longer).
Would you like to know how to support yourself in the best way possible on a physical, emotional, and mental level, now and into the future? Click here to watch my first Interview with Chernise Spruell, a Channel & Energy healer of the highest vibration!
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, May 17th:
Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer. It will journey there until 8:44am EDT. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key this morning 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Monday at 2:23am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 6 hours, until 8:44am EDT. Use this intuitive time to empower each other in regards to earthly issues and mutually support each other in practical ways.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning ahead of time.
Monday at 8:44am EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Wednesday late afternoon. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two-and-a-half days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it? This Moon placement start the build up toward the first Quarter Moon (exact Wednesday afternoon).
Monday, after 8:44am EDT, if you set intentions last Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, after the New Moon became exact, today will be the best time to take relevant actions. If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to you?
Also on Monday, the Saturn Station intensifies in 13.5 degrees of Aquarius. As I mentioned last week Monday (May 10th) already, “Stationing” is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more “exalted”; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.
Ask yourself: Where am I being asked to look at my long-term goals and ambitions when it comes to building a sustainable future for myself and others? Around becoming a more mature citizen of the world? Where do I need to commit towards building a solid foundation in my various communities or networks? What will time do if I take these steps? And if I don’t?
As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. The station-phase will feel most intense until until May 28th, but altogether, it will run until June 4th — and Saturn will start its 4.5-month Retrograde phase, on Sunday (May 23rd)… more on that later this week 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 11-16 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus or Scorpio? Ascendant or Sun-sign in Capricorn? If so, you will…

Our Capacity for Compassion
This week’s headline items: Saturn starts its Station phase on Monday; the New Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Tuesday afternoon; Pluto resumes its normal pace (ending its station) on Wednesday; Jupiter changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces on Thursday evening; Mercury enters its pre-Shadow phase on Friday evening; and Eclipse season begins on Sunday.
There will be only two Moon VoC phases this week: Wednesday morning (for a brief 20 minutes) and Friday morning (for a little over 14.5 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, May 10th:
Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day. It will journey there until Wednesday morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.
What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses 😉
Monday late evening, an opportune Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:44pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Sunday afternoon (May 9th) on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday morning. We have an opportunity to bring healing energy to our concrete mind and to our thoughts. We also have a chance to heal insecurities in our verbal, in-person, social media or email interactions.
We are better able now to tune out that automatic/critical inner voice, in favor of more loving and compassionate structures for thinking and communicating. By bringing love and understanding to our thinking processes, we have a chance to move beyond entrenched habits, like “impatient self-talk”, or the use of aggressive language (swear words for example).
Here’s a few good “chew toys” for your mind at this time: What was your family’s attitude towards communication? Toward speaking up for yourself? What if you tried a kinder approach for a bit? Does your inner dialog really have to repeat what they said when you were 3 or 5 years old? What if you tried using a gentler voice for the next ten minutes or so?
For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the recording of my Chiron Workshop: “Healing with Astrology” Click here for more info. Please keep in mind that as a Member of my online community you have automatically access to this workshop. Go to My Courses.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 9-13 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Aquarius, or Leo? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Also on Monday, Saturn starts its station in Aquarius. “Stationing” is when a planet moves more slowly through the sky. When a planet stations, its energy becomes more “exalted”; in the case of Saturn, this means we all feel the need to more fully face what is currently so, our actual reality.
Saturn has to do with doing what needs to be done — so we can fully understand the practical implications of our reality, and the consequences of our past actions. Saturn also represents our structures, responsibilities, commitments and ability to “do” life, on life’s terms.
As spirit beings in a physical world, it’s best to observe the laws of the physical world. The sooner we learn to “play by the rules”, the easier life gets. Saturn also represents time and the “domain” of time: growing up, maturing, understanding our limitations, setting healthy boundaries with others, living with integrity, being authentic and truthful, being serious and focused on building something of value to society.
Saturn is our teacher. If you had a cosmic teacher, what would your personal “earth class” be in, right now? Where are you asked to look at your current “earth structures” and become more mature? Which communities or networks calls out for a commitment? What will time do?
As best as you can during the time of the station, bring flexibility and open-mindedness to any frustrations. The station-phase will last until June 4th; and Saturn starts its 5-month retrograde on May 23rd in 13.5 degrees of Aquarius (more on that next week…).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 11-16 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will be…

by Sonja Francis | May 8, 2021 | Astrological Forecasts, Astrology Articles, Jupiter
On May 13th, 2021, Jupiter changed signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking, and objective Aquarius to creative, sensitive, and intuitive Pisces. It will journey in that sign until July 28th, 2021. This is a preview of what’s to come in December of 2021, when Jupiter makes its second move into Pisces on Dec. 28th, this time until May 11th, 2022. There will also be a third pass through Pisces from Oct. 28th until Dec. 20th, 2022.
In our individual natal chart, the position of Jupiter reveals how we express generosity and tolerance, and how we go about trusting others and improving our lives. Where do you look for wisdom and understanding? Where do you need movement and spaciousness? Where do you feel optimistic and have faith that things will turn out ok?
Jupiter represents the principle of expansion — it operates like a magnifying glass. It’s been in Aquarius since Dec. 2020, where that magnifying glass was looking at creating more opportunity for (and through) communities or networks — whether online or local.
The planet urges an expansion of sustainable, long-term visions, and a greater understanding of our potential for a better future — for example, it helped us develop faith in our humanitarian goals, or highlighted a lack of faith in those things. It also showed us more clearly where our alliances lie on a personal and collective level.
Aquarius values both equality and diversity, so we’ve been getting to see what we believe to be true about our various communities or affiliations, and the collective vision for the future — and what stories we’ve been telling ourselves about the same — we also gained new perspectives on our collective experience and our networks of like-minded people.
Jupiter in Pisces brings the magnifying lens to bear on our inner divinity, our ability to receive, our connection to intuition, and our desire to contribute to life from a heart-centered place. The opportunity now is to bring the enthusiastic energies of Jupiter to the unification of all dualities — becoming more fully aware of the oneness of all.
Jupiter in Pisces also promotes a greater understanding of our potential for expanding the union within. This exists always, and we can tap into it at any time — it helps us to have faith in our ability to transcend falsehoods and illusions by tapping directly into Source.
Jupiter is in Pisces until July 28th, 2021, and then again later from Dec. 2021, until May 2022, and then one last time from Oct. 28th until Dec. 20th, 2022. During these three periods, we attract the most good fortune when we are tender, devoted, compassionate, kind, look out for the underdog, and give generously. We value compassion and charity, and are motivated by a universal vision; peaceful personal philosophies and faith in the goodness of life will serve us best.
We are more open to spiritual or creative endeavors. Possibilities for a great heart-expansion and recognition of our underlying interconnectedness are very strong; we are each particularly invited to go within and explore this on a very private or personal level.
We also have an inborn faith in the Universe. Solitude, working alone, and meditation can all bring us great pleasure and a sense of rejuvenation. We are merciful and generous — often anonymously. Jupiter in Pisces helps to create…

Where does Jupiter-in-Pisces fall in your own birth chart? What aspects does it make during this transit? How does a wise response to one house support a more fruitful response to the next? What outward opportunities arise as Jupiter interacts with any of your personal planets? Where will you experience a major expansion until Dec. 2022? Where are you ready to open your heart and trust the larger play of life?
If you’d like more insight into those questions, we covered Jupiter’s move through Pisces in more detail in one of my Forecasting Forums (in May 2021) — so if you want to know how this planetary movement is impacting you personally, feel free to purchase the video-presentation of the “Jupiter in Pisces“ webinar — we applied Jupiter’s movement to our own birth charts! On May 11th, at 3pm EDT, the New Moon becomes exact in 21 degrees of Taurus. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Click here to watch my video on the subject.
As best as you can, get really quiet 24 hours before and after the New Moon becomes exact, and see if you are getting any new messages or ideas. If you are, harvest them, and fold them into any intentions you set for the new Moon cycle — I will talk about this process later in the forecast, and I’ll even give you the very best and most potent times for doing so 🙂
This New Moon sextiles Neptune in Pisces and trines an exalted Pluto in Capricorn. Saturn & Jupiter in Aquarius are also exalted at the time of this New Moon (for different reasons) and we have many more aspects to talk about, all connected either to Mercury in Gemini, or Mars in Cancer.
So, as you can see, lots going on in this New Moon chart, all painting a complex picture with a focus on like-minded people, community, and long-term goals. There is also an opportunity for healing and connecting to our inner sense of knowing.
Before we go into all of these aspects in more detail, however, let’s first talk about the sign of Taurus:
This New Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus places more focus on our interactions with the physical world — you could say that we seek a healthier relationship with “matter”, one in which we are neither too attached, nor too disconnected from things on the physical plane — for example, our bodies, resources (such as money), and the planet we co-inhabit.
We are powerfully reminded to take the time to honor the only planet we can currently live on — The Earth — and honor its resources and beauty.
In much the same spirit, we are invited also to honor ourselves, our bodies, and our talents. This is a good time for reevaluating our relationship to money and possessions, and for discovering what truly makes us happy and fulfilled, so check in with yourself: What came to mind when you read this?
Let’s talk about some of the aspects in this New Moon chart:

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in 19-23 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. This is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.
This month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would therefore be between 3pm on May 11th and 3pm on May 13th. The only exception would be a 20-minute period in the morning of May 12th — there will be a brief Moon VoC between 8:23am and 8:43am. All of the above times are given in US East Coast-time.
For more info on setting New Moon Intentions click here.
If you live in a timezone other than EDT (US East Coast-time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter as I post reminders on May 11th, 12th and 13th, to let you know when it is the most potent time to set your intentions 😉
