Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 25th

Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 10:08am EDT. Until then, our focus tis still on the practical and wholesome. We are generous with our time and services and love to help others.

We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our daily world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Monday until 2:07am EDT, we can still set our New Moon Intentions during the best and most potent time! If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-) watch my New Moon video: click here.

Monday around 5:15am EDT, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase ends (at 15º37′ of Leo). We no longer need to look back in order to learn or share something new, buy or sell something different, or make new connections.

As you may recall, on Aug. 11th, when Mercury stationed direct, I mentioned the Mercury Shadow phases as well: If you want to buy, sell or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde and after Mercury goes direct.

This is especially true if the items are connected to transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.) or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.)

The good news is this Shadow phase ends early this morning when Mercury reaches 15º36′ of Leo. This means we can finally go ahead and book those plane tickets — or buy that new car or iPhone (or anything else communication- or transportation-related).

We can also more easily take in new information, so teaching, sharing, and learning will be more effective. Click here to read my blog on the subject.

Monday at 9:53am EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC  that lasts for 15 minutes until 10:08am EDT. Take the opportunity to get organized, improve daily routines, and increase your awareness of how those activities fit with your values.

It could also be a chance to reconnect with family and loved ones in a nurturing way, from the heart — while being mindful of what works and what doesn’t for you.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow.

Monday at 10:08am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating.

These next 2.5 days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No.”

One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts!

Monday at 12:27pm EDT, Venus changes signs from sensitive, protective Cancer to fun-loving, extroverted Leo, where it will journey until Sept. 19th. Venus in Leo changes how we “do” relationships.

We’re “in love with love”, so we especially appreciate (and are turned on by) gestures of love and romance. It goes the other way, too: we are warm, affectionate, and loyal to those we love and cherish (as long as they show us that they deserve our love).

Grand gestures of love and exciting, tantalizing interactions work best. Lavish everyone with compliments (including yourself). We also want to have fun and express our love for life.

And what better way is there to do that than to throw a huge party for everyone we love? And if a “huge party” doesn’t appeal, don’t opt for the couch and the TV: get out there. It’s an excellent time to take a chance!

“Taking a chance” applies to the financial realm, especially any ventures related to entertainment, children, sports, or the stock market.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more outgoing and confident for the period Venus moves through Leo. Your heart will want to connect and be admired.

Creative endeavors will feel satisfying to you. If you are a Leo Sun-sign or Rising sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.

Monday late evening, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 8:56pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday noon (Aug. 23rd) on; it will remain strong until Thursday early morning (Aug. 28th). This signals a time when we don’t take connections with others lightly; we are more attracted to long-term commitment than to “casual”.

Ask yourself: What long-term connections are possible at this time? What feels “right” to me? Are there any personal connections that need strengthening or refreshing? How might mutual respect and loyalty be of support?

We feel a strong sense of responsibility to loved ones and see ourselves generally as responsible and trustworthy. We have increased sensitivity to the needs of others.

We bring more maturity, respect, and integrity to our interactions — and this is a good time to approach mature or, independent people for their input.

In the same spirit, reevaluating our goals and doing our self-development “work” brings greater mastery over who we are and what we do.

This process doesn’t have to be “solemn”, so ask yourself: Who might welcome a heart-centered dialogue (or creative collaboration) that is inspirational and long-lasting? What if we expressed ourselves freely while respecting each other’s boundaries?

If my heart had a voice of its own and could talk out loud, what might it say about me being myself and walking my path with maturity and integrity? What would a courageous leader and authority figure have to say on the subject? (Think of a specific person for this question.)

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, or 27-29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Tuesday, Aug. 26th

Tuesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Monday late morning for details).

Tuesday late afternoon, an opportune Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 4:58pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday very early morning on; it will remain strong until Thursday morning.

This gives us the opportunity to experiment with how we relate to others — to do something different or unusual — freedom plays a big part in this aspect. As best as you can, stay open and flexible: fresh air is blowing through your relationships.

Of course, others are also experimenting, so you might have some unusual or unexpected interactions during this time. It’s an ideal time for social gatherings and events, especially those that allow us to have fun and think creatively.

We’re also ready to experiment with our financial undertakings — good places to look: all things “tech” (electronics, technology, internet); metaphysics; the arts; group activities.

That said, this is not the best time to make long-term financial investments that are not suggested in an intuitive flash — better to focus on short-term investments.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Leo, Gemini, Aries, Libra, or 29 degrees of Cancer, Taurus, Pisces, or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, Uranus rules Aquarius).

Tuesday evening, a harmonious Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 6:18pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday morning (Aug. 24th) on; it will remain strong until Friday morning (Aug. 29th). This aspect makes for a very creative and beautiful time.

It feels good to engage with music, art, movies, theater, etc. (perhaps you could have yourself a creative fun-fest). It’s easier to share physical endeavors or inspirational visions with others — we might not have the best boundaries in our relationships, socializing, or with money, but we sure as heck know how to enjoy ourselves.

We connect to others in a compassionate, sweet, fun-loving way; we are more likely to feel romantic and excited about our social connections. Trusting and opening up to others becomes much easier; we permit ourselves to receive love, be love, and radiate love. Our inspiration and inner joy are also strong now, so as best as you can, let yourself be who you are and allow your heart to express itself!

Ask yourself: Could I permit myself to receive love? Be love? Radiate love? What do I want to express that is dear to my heart? Am I ready to release whatever is no longer in alignment with who I have become?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius or 28-29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect, as will those of us with the Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Tuesday at 10:06pm EDT, we enter a long Moon VoC that will last for almost 23.5 hours, until 9:27pm EDT (Wednesday late evening). Use this intuitive time to collaborate with others and share your heart’s desire, expressing yourself unapologetically whilst remaining connected and civilized.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday late evening until Wednesday late evening ahead of time!

Wednesday, Aug. 27th

Wednesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 9:27pm EDT (see Monday late morning for details).

Wednesday very early morning, a Venus/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 1:54pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Sunday evening (Aug. 24th) on; it will remain strong until this Friday evening (Aug. 29th).

This opposition calls us to balance our desire to have fun and express our love for life in the present moment against our desire to shake things up regarding our vision for ourselves, our communities, and the world.

We can learn a lot about ourselves through relationships during this opposition phase.

We may not altogether like what we see, though, as we perhaps glimpse our own “darker” side — and it will be critical that we recognize it as our own “stuff” rather than projecting it onto a romantic partner, collaborator, or friend.

Sexual intensity can be a part of this transit, too — as can fear of losing meaningful connections or of being abandoned.

Ask yourself: What fears or concerns are coming into awareness in connection with an important relationship of mine? What needs to transform so I can honor myself, connect authentically, and thus experience an empowered version of myself?

Might I deepen my relationships with others if I brought 5% more grace and an open heart to my interactions?

We have a deep need to establish a sense of self-worth at this time; we may start to argue or blame others to feel better about ourselves.

We need to be less concerned with how we “appear” to others and more with how we actually “are”. All of this could bring up deep feelings in connection with other people.

There also might be a tendency to confuse “Love” and “Power” right now; as best as you can, be true to yourself and come from an open heart rather than a scared one.

Ask yourself: What would “Love” do?

An opposition always comes back to the starting point of the conjunction between the two planets involved. In this case, Venus and Pluto aligned on Dec. 7th, 2024, at almost 0.5º Aquarius.

Think back to that time: What relationships began at that time? How about the relationship you have with yourself? What seeds were planted?

What have you learned about your shadow, focus, and ability to stay committed to something or someone? How far have you come since then?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in the following placements: 0-5 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you may be more affected by this opposition.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto rules Scorpio).

Wednesday at 9:27pm EDT, the Moon moves into deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Saturday late morning. Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us now; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as 100% dishonest.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. It does so through subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us.

This makes it an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits, or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

The Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”, etc. It can, therefore, be stormy — a cold winter storm or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies.

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others.

Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free.

Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio — and it is currently transiting through Aquarius, making this a great time to transform our visions for humanity and our future on this planet, in this universe — and to empower ourselves and others within our communities (locally or online).

It’s also a great time to dig deeper into our various networks and connections to like-minded people, so, as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations.

Does participation in your current groups or networks feel empowering or disempowering? Do you feel a deep emotional alignment with like-minded people in your life? Are you allowing yourself to hear the deepest calling of your Soul?

Ask yourself: Where am I looking to create more empowerment in my life? What about the lives of others? How might a self-expressed and courageously heartfelt approach serve my communities and foster better collaborations?

Use this time to create deeper, more empowering emotional connections with like-minded people, especially if you are feeling a disconnect with other networks or affiliations out there in the world.

Remember: Love expands us, others, and life. Fear paralyzes!

Thursday, Aug. 28th

Thursday, the Moon remains in deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Wednesday late evening for details).

Thursday after 8:27am EDT, it is time to start to take action on your New Moon intentions. If you set Intentions on Aug. 23rd or 24th – after the New Moon became exact — today (Thursday) will be the best time to take relevant actions.

If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?

Thursday evening, a long-term, opportune Uranus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:09pm EDT. We have felt this aspect build from July 7th; it will remain strong until January 11th, 2026.

Uranus and Neptune are both outer planets and move quite slowly, so this aspect is the first of five Sextiles that we will experience over the next two years.

The other four Sextiles will be exact on November 20th (at 29º Taurus-Pisces), July 15th, 2026 (at 4.5º of Gemini-Aries), January 15th, 2027 (at almost 2º of Gemini-Aries), and last but not least, on June 6th, 2027 (at 6.5º of Gemini-Aries).

Uranus, the modern ruler of Aquarius, is associated with innovation, social change, and the higher mind. Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, corresponds to idealism, spirituality, other-worldliness, unity, and the higher heart.

Sextiles offer the potential for integration and growth with reduced resistance or effort; to realize this potential, we must act.

Like all aspects, they always resonate back to the conjunction of the two planets involved; in this case, when Neptune aligned with Uranus at 18-20º of Capricorn, back in 1993.

This means that this Sextile offers an opportunity to develop anything that began back then. If you know your natal chart pretty well, take a look to see where 18-20º of Capricorn lands in your chart (i.e., the house placement). That area of life was the place where you planted the seeds for your future visions in 1993.

Think back to that time (if you can): What personal vision did you formulate around then? What inspired you? Where did you want to make a difference? How did you see your future panning out?

You might also want to ask yourself: How has my life changed since 1993? How did I use my time and energy back then? How do I use it now? What am I being called to do differently?

Looking beyond the personal for a moment, not everybody gets to live through a Uranus-Neptune conjunction, because they occur only once every 172 years!

Throughout history, they have coincided with spiritual awakenings and cultural renaissance. For example, the 1993 conjunction saw the creation of the European Union, the birth of the World Wide, and the first cloning of a human embryo.

Since 1993, the internet and related technologies (smartphones, social media, etc.) have radically altered how we communicate, work, and live.

With Uranus and Neptune in a Sextile over the next two years, we will have an opening to reevaluate our use of technology and reunite science with spirit, for the benefit of all beings.

Each one of us will play a part in this; we are called to take action and walk the path that aligns best with our higher heart and connects us more freely with others.

What is my best path going forward? Where is my higher heart asking me to go? What does the best version of me want to do?

==> We also discussed this aspect during our last Star Hour. Feel free to watch the replay of our Live Stream event, here

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Leo, Gemini, Aries, Libra, or 29 degrees of Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, or Aquarius (Mercury is the ruler of Virgo and Gemini; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius).

Friday, Aug. 29th

Friday, the Moon remains in deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Wednesday late evening for details).

Friday from 4:40am until 12:40pm EDT, we enjoy a feeling of emotional ease, accompanied by the ability to trust and connect deeply with others; as best you can, allow whatever comes up to benefit you. It will help to slow down, explore your feelings, and see them as beneficial.

We may want to spend time with trusted partners or create something with loved ones that leads us to a deeper understanding of our past traumas or hurts.(Moon in Scorpio trines Jupiter in Cancer, exact at 8:44am EDT)

Friday at 8:47pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 13.5 hours, until 10:04am EDT (Saturday late morning). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your lives…

On the one hand, you need deep, authentic — even intimate — connections to others. Emotional safety and a deeper understanding of your traumas interest you, however, it may be hard to trust others.

On the other hand, you also want to connect with children or fun-loving adults, share something blissful, or express your love and adoration for the special people in your life.

However, this shows up for us, we may need to make some adjustments or find creative solutions between two needs that are seemingly at odds. As best as you can, get creative!

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday morning ahead of time.

Saturday, Aug. 30th

Saturday, the Moon remains in deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC until 10:04am EDT (see Wednesday late evening for details).

Saturday at 10:04am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Monday evening (Sept. 1st). We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn.

We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best for us at this time — and we’re also physically restless, so we must burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic, and inspired — and we also have a high degree of independence. Taking these two influences together, we’d rather inspire others to do things our way than issue or obey orders.

Inspiring others could come more easily than usual, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming everyone is on the same page.

Improvisation works well for us now, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just be mindful that you aren’t overdoing or overstating things. This Moon placement starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Sunday very early morning).

Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius — and it is currently transiting through Cancer, making this a great time to explore our feelings and connect with loved ones.

As best as you can, bring the enthusiastic energies of Jupiter to your ability to be warm, generous, caring, and “being in touch” with familiar connections.

Ask yourself: How can an attitude of “caring” support my connection to others? What road might lead to a place of safety with others? How might nurturing myself and others help me travel that road?

What if I had a 5% more positive attitude towards my family or upbringing? How might that feel?

Use this time to trust your instincts and feelings, and allow yourself to utilize them in the best way possible. Checking to see what matters most to you and your loved ones and seeking warm connections rather than security will get you there much faster.

When you stay aligned with what matters to you, you create emotionally fulfilling connections and experiences! When you give support to others, you will receive it a thousandfold in return, no matter how it comes your way. If you are open to it, the support is yours!

Again, this Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact early on Sunday).

Saturday from 6:20am – 2:20pm EDT,  we are focused on our personal goals, but sense excitement in the air.

Regarding our path towards personal mastery, we are invited to examine the structures we are building with a new level of authenticity, and make realistic choices around new ideas or concepts. (Moon in Sagittarius trines Saturn in Aries, exact at 10:19am EDT)

Saturday from 8:55am – 4:55pm EDT, we are in “flow” and take inspired action; spiritual endeavors are favored. Ask yourself: How could I create something that excites me, connects me to some larger meaning, and gets me dancing in the rain? (Moon in Sagittarius trines Neptune in Aries, exact at 12:53pm EDT)

Saturday from 10:40am – 4:40pm EDT, we have an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, focus on the bigger picture, or simply take a deep dive into something that gets us excited about the future. (Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Pluto in Aquarius, exact at 1:42pm EDT)

Saturday from 7:10pm – 3:10am EDT, we might find ourselves wanting to connect with others so we can share our enthusiasm and passion for life with them. We prefer a playful and fun approach right now. (Moon in Sagittarius trines Venus in Leo, exact at 11:12pm EDT)

Sunday, Aug. 31st:

Sunday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Saturday late morning for details).

Sunday at 2:25am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 19º of Sagittarius becomes exact. We started to feel this from the moment the Moon entered Sagittarius on Saturday late morning

The Moon in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo.

We feel compelled to take action. Last week, we saw the New Moon on Aug. 23rd. If we began a project or initiative around then, it is probably off the ground by now — and facing its first obstacles.

This is thus a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.

As best as you can, take it one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible, and find creative solutions in your daily interactions.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-10 degrees of Sagittarius, Virgo, Gemini, or Pisces? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Sunday afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 3:44pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday evening on; it will remain strong until next Monday night/Tuesday very early morning (Sept. 1st/2nd).

This aspect is a wonderful possibility for active healing concerning our mental conditioning and day-to-day thinking structures.

We can bring compassion, both for ourselves and for others, to any communications that trigger us. We are able to allow for our “inner playful child” to come out in unique ways as we share ourselves — especially when it comes to our identity, personal goals, and passions.

Acceptance and understanding of our own and others’ “Human-ness” come more easily now. Humor can be a helpful way to explore our own humanity…

We feel more confident to connect and communicate without seeing ourselves as weak or “less than”. We feel perfectly ok to be ourselves, and that may involve feeling insecure.

Ask yourself: Could I allow myself and others to be human? Could I enjoy that I am human? That other people are human?

What if I talked about my flaws, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities? How might this support my healing process? Someone else’s?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-29 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo)

Also on Sunday, the Uranus Station intensifies in 1.5 degrees of Gemini until Sept. 11th. It will come to a complete halt next week, Friday night (Sept. 5th/6th) in 1º27′ of Gemini, starting its yearly 5-month retrograde phase (more about that next week…).

When an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced, and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet’s energy picks up speed again around Sept. 16th (when the station phase has ended).

Uranus’s themes: breaking away from traditional structures, moving towards a new future that serves others and ourselves — and we can confidently expect the unexpected.

Inner and outer freedoms will move to the forefront of discussions. We might have flashes of insight or new ideas about what needs to change in our lives.

What might this be for you? Where do you feel the desire to break free? If “Freedom” were inside of you, where might it be? Where have you denied yourself permission to think freely? Or uniquely? Or to entertain ideas that come from a higher realm?

This Station phase also helps us to look at how free we truly feel when it comes to our thinking, our ability to learn, and our daily interactions with others.

Are we connecting to a larger vision for our future? Where are we being called to rewire our mental circuits? How might old paradigms be holding us back?

As best as you can, share your ideas and inspire others to share your vision of a better future. See who wants to come on board — and look for how you can connect with other collaborators to make it happen.

Uranus also rules electronics, technology, and the internet, so don’t be surprised if you experience some interruptions or short-term failures in these areas. Group activities are also ruled by Uranus, so these will also be more at the forefront of our awareness.

Given all this erratic energy, it’s best to stay mentally flexible and do what we need to do to soothe our nerves while paying attention to those messages from the Universe!

Some of us will be more affected than others, depending on how it interacts with our personal chart. If you have your Ascendant, Career Point, or any personal planets in the following: 0-4 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, Pisces, or 29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, or Aquarius, you will be more affected by this particular Station phase. This is also true for all of us who have an Aquarius Sun-sign or Rising-sign.

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Sept. 1st): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 9:45pm EDT; at 4:07am EDT, Saturn re-enters Pisces, one last time, and will journey there until Feb. 13th, 2026At 9:39pm EDT, we enter a very brief Moon VoC that will last for 6 minutes, until 9:45pm EDT. At that time, the Moon moves into ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Thursday morning. More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…

August 18th – 24th

Human Complexities

This week’s headline items: Jupiter trines the North Node all week; there will be a massive Moon void of course on Thursday and Friday, so plan ahead for that one! The Sun changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Friday afternoon; a New Moon in 0 degrees Virgo becomes exact early Saturday — this also kicks off Eclipse Season! Uranus starts to slow down (station) on Saturday as well.

There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday morning (for a little over 7 hours), Wednesday morning (for almost 11 hours) and Thursday afternoon (for a little over 35 hours)!

Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a gentle reminder…

There will be another Star Hour! This is a FREE Livestream event.
Live on Saturday, Aug. 23rd at 12:30pm EDT/9:30am PT/5:30pm London-time!

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 18th

Monday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 3:05pm EDT. Until then, we would like to learn, connect, and interact as much as possible.

“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead…

Monday at 7:53am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 7 hours, until 3:05pm EDT. This intuitive time offers an opportunity to connect with others and share yourself.

What might become possible if you were to exchange information with others in the mutual pursuit of goals you both feel excited about?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday morning until the afternoon ahead of time!

Monday at 3:05pm EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say, and our feelings are thus more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others.

Self-care is key for the next two days! Emotional safety is also important to us; we like connecting to the familiar and enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance.

Make sure, though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, or you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Tuesday, Aug. 19th

Tuesday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 1:29pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Saturday afternoon (Aug. 16th) on; it will remain strong until this Friday evening. This creates a supportive environment for healing our insecurities.

We can bring greater awareness to our feelings of shame and any self-deprecating thoughts or behaviors. Paradoxically, we have the chance to shine, largely because we project self-respect and modesty.

This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths. Where might this be true for you?

Something else that supports healing our insecurities is a sense that we are pursuing a worthy goal — this could be something as simple as a desire to create and express ourselves, or simply acceptance of our own/human complexities while expressing ourselves creatively or otherwise.

Ask yourself: How open can I be to being courageously myself, with all my sensitivities and insecurities? How complex could I allow myself to be? How about everyone else out there in the world? Could I give others permission to be just as complex?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or one or more personal planets) in the following: 24-29 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, or 0 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (as the Sun rules Leo).

Tuesday from 2pm – 10pm EDT, we may feel mushy and sensitive; we crave safe, familiar connections.

We strongly desire to expand our home and family experiences. We see many opportunities to make our home and family lives more comfortable and feel good about ourselves and our connections.

It feels great right now to give and receive out of care for others or ourselves. We also feel quite optimistic about finding or upgrading a home that feels in perfect alignment with our needs. (Moon in Cancer conjuncts Jupiter, exact at 6:02pm EDT)

Wednesday, Aug. 20th

Wednesday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all until 7:17pm EDT (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday at 8:27am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 11 hours, until 7:17pm EDT. Connect with others (or yourself) in a caring, emotional way.

As best as you can, look for relationships that inspire you to care more deeply, give and receive, and nurture each other. Could you allow yourself to slow down and appreciate all the loving connections that already exist in your life?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning until the evening ahead of time!

Wednesday from 9:55am – 5:55pm EDT, we are invited to make adjustments and (as best as we can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. Make space for healing around anger or self-identity and for taking care of emotional or family issues. (Moon in Cancer squares Chiron in Aries, exact at 1:56pm EDT)

Wednesday at 7:17pm EDT, the Moon enters fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Friday night/Saturday very early morning. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising.

We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness… So, hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them.

Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.

If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s easier for the next two days.

What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun that you let out a tiny squeak just thinking of it?

Thursday, Aug. 21st

Thursday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Wednesday evening for details).

Thursday from 8:44am – 2:44pm EDT, we are invited to make joyful one-on-one connections and collaborate on mutual goals in a fun way.

Note that we have to accept and act on this “invitation”; this is not something that will land in our laps. (Moon in Leo sextiles Mars in Libra, exact at 11:44am EDT)

Thursday at 2:13pm EDT, we enter a massive Moon VoC that will last for a little over 35 hours, until 1:24am EDT (Friday night/Saturday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to connect with others (and with yourself) on an authentic, playful level.

Could you permit yourself to get in touch with your inner child — and communicate your joy in a creative way?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday afternoon until Friday night/Saturday very early morning ahead of time!

I also want to mention the Trine between Jupiter in Cancer and the North Node in Pisces (and of course, the Sextile to the South Node in Virgo). This connection started to build on Monday (Aug. 18th); it will be strong until Sept. 22nd!

It will be exact on Sept. 3rd at 18.5 degrees of Cancer/Pisces/Virgo. This combo opens an opportunity to address the Pisces-Virgo polarity by expanding our connection to our feelings and instincts and exploring how we engage with the world, with all its complexities and challenges.

This combination also supports our home and family projects, enhances our desire to feel safe and emotionally connected with others, and encourages us to step out of our comfort zones.

The Trine to the North Node makes it easier to be compassionate toward our emotional conditioning from our upbringing and our “inner baby.” Taking baby steps and giving ourselves plenty of nurturing care will help us create a deeper connection to ourselves and life.

This Trine also offers an opportunity to let go of outdated beliefs about our past or what feels safe, and to care more deeply about our emotional connections with others.

It supports our every desire to feel in greater alignment with ourselves, provided we can tune in to and follow our inner, subtle voice that guides us from higher realms.

Ask yourself: What do I hear when I get still and allow myself to be quiet and tune in? Does my desire to explore myself and my past become more apparent when I have had plenty of rest and downtime? Does that also make the exploration itself easier to undertake?

We genuinely believe in our ability to form loving connections with others and seem to be excited about life.

Ask yourself: What could I now explore about my past or my vulnerabilities that before seemed closed to enquiry? What feels in alignment with who I am becoming? What truly feeds and nourishes me?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 15-22 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, Virgo or Scorpio? If so, you may feel more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter rules Sagittarius)

Friday, Aug. 22nd

Friday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo and VoC all day (see Wednesday evening and Thursday afternoon for details).

Gentle reminder: TOMORROW we will have another STAR HOUR at 12:30pm EDT. Please RSVP here in advance to receive a reminder and join us on time. This is a free LIVE STREAM event via the Soulivity Community platform.

Friday at 4:34pm EDT, the Sun changes signs from fun and attention-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo. It will journey there until September 22nd. This time is best used for getting our lives in order and expressing ourselves in realistic, practical terms.

Addressing our health (e.g., starting a new exercise or nutrition routine) might be just the thing within the next four weeks. Being of service and moving towards improving our living conditions are essential Virgo qualities.

How might you be of service to others? What needs a little practical improvement in your life? How to feel about your health routines?

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Virgo Sun-sign or Rising sign. Virgo folks will feel extra confident and playful; Leo people are more aware of the details and more grounded in reality.

Friday late evening, a challenging Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 10:29pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build Wednesday early afternoon; it will remain strong until next Monday early afternoon (Aug. 25th).

This aspect asks us to stretch past injuries and insecurities in our relationships, self-worth, and finances. If we can bring compassion and a different point of view to these issues, we will reach a new understanding of ourselves and our life journey.

We have the opportunity to learn from one another; ironically, though, social insecurities can be magnified at this time.

Whenever Chiron is involved, we are asked to do some healing work — so as best as you can, use this time to learn about your sore spots. Nobody is perfect: we all have our flaws and idiosyncrasies. It’s ok.

If you get triggered by someone, as best as you can, take it as an opportunity to see where this trigger originated — probably in your childhood. Bring love and compassion to yourself as you are and as you were.

Allow yourself to feel any feelings this may stir up in you.

A feeling is just energy that wants to be experienced; it wants to move through us and out. The more we resist, suppress, escape, or avoid our feelings, the more we keep them spinning in place. Be aware of your mind’s role in this.

As best as you can, move from the head to the heart: What might change if you had 5% more compassion for yourself and others? What if you just decided to have faith in the healing process? What if kindness towards yourself and your process was the most healing force there was?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 24-29 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, Libra, or 0 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Aquarius, or Scorpio? If so, you are more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Saturday, Aug. 23rd

Saturday is a huge day (astrologically speaking). At 1:24am EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Monday late morning. This starts the build up towards today’s New Moon!

It turns our focus toward the practical and wholesome.

LAST chance to join us! STAR HOUR LIVE today at 12:30pm EDT!

Saturday at 2:07am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 0º23′ of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free to also watch my New Moon video on the subject.

New Moons are the best time to set Intentions for the 28 days following. I will talk about the best and most potent time to plant some seeds towards the end of this post, so stay tuned!

This New Moon is special for several reasons: it takes place in 0 degrees of Virgo, and is the first of two consecutive New Moons in the same sign.

The next Lunar cycle begins on Sept. 21st — it is also a New Moon in Virgo and the first South Node Solar Eclipse in this Earth sign in 19 years (to be precise, since September 2006). It occurred at 29º of Virgo — and the one this September will too!

This New Moon features numerous aspects involving the outer planets:

Uranus in Gemini squares this New Moon while Saturn and Neptune in Aries both make a Quincunx to it. This provides an impetus to “think different” and make inner adjustments so we can focus on our own path and follow our inner guidance.

On top of this, Uranus also starts its station on the day of the New Moon, preparing for its yearly Retrograde phase. This will make this innovative and insightful planet (related to cosmic breakdowns and breakthroughs) more exalted until Sept. 16th! More on that below.

And then we come to Mercury, the messenger, ruler of Virgoit is still in Leo due to its recent Retrograde phase. It will be ending its post-Shadow phase only 51 hours after the New Moon becomes exact, making it possible for us to truly move forward in our lives again.

Mercury also sextiles Mars in Libra at the time of the New Moon. I will talk more about all of this in connection with the planetary aspects of this New Moon chart, but first, let’s look at the Virgo energy of this New Moon:

Virgo provides an opportunity to learn about being of service. It also helps us see what might come of focused improvement in our daily routines — things like getting better organized, or taking care of health matters.

Virgo teaches us to use our mind in the service of helping and healing, rather than in criticism or self-degradation. The highest vibration of Virgo is observation, discernment, and analysis from a neutral standpoint to determine what works and what doesn’t.

Let’s take a look at some of the aspects of this New Moon chart… to read the whole New Moon article and get access to all of the coaching questions, please go here.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in the following: 0-3 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, or 28-29 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact — and not during a Moon void of course phase.

So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 2:07am Saturday, Aug. 23rd, and 2:07am Monday, Aug. 25th (as with all my times, these times are in EDT, the New York time zone).

There is no Moon VoC during the most potent time to set our Intentions, so we have free rein between those times!!

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (as a reminder, that’s the US East Coast time zone), feel free to join my Facebook Fan-page, or follow me on Instagram. I will be posting reminders during this most potent time to let you know when it is time to set your intentions.

For more information on how to set your New Moon intentions, click here.

Because of the upcoming Eclipses, this New Moon also starts Eclipse Season and this will last until October 13th, 2025. The first Eclipse will be a Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on Sept. 7th, followed by the very first Solar Eclipse in Virgo since the Moon Nodes have shifted into Pisces-Virgo on Jan. 11th of this year).

Eclipses call for physical, mental, and emotional recalibration, providing an opening to move to the next level of our personal and collective evolution.

Eclipse Season happens twice a year and it is usually an unpredictable time. Flexibility, thinking outside the box, and self-care are critical during Eclipse season!

Self-care is particularly important in times of stress and/or change — basic things, like making sure that we eat healthily and regularly, drink plenty of water, exercise, get plentiful rest — and allow affection in from friends, family, or pets.

Anything started from scratch during Eclipse season will likely not pan out the way we thought it would, often because important information comes to light only after the Full Moon that follows the last Eclipse.

If possible, defer any brand-new projects until after October 13th, when this Eclipse season is over. That said, if something is beginning or ending in a way that seems organic, allow it to come through

We will also talk about those upcoming Eclipses in our next Forecasting Forum on Saturday, Sept. 6th, so feel free to join us and find out more about how these Eclipses will impact your own personal evolutionary shifts.

Saturday morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 7:05am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday morning on; it will remain strong until Sunday morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level.

We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.

Our focus is drawn to the truth of the matter, but we could be pulled away by doubts and impatience or by “accepting” responsibilities that aren’t ours (while ignoring the ones that are).

We work hard but aren’t always recognized or compensated as we’d like, so we sometimes run out of steam before our work is complete; life thus works best when we take care of our most important responsibilities first.

So, do your best to slow down, but don’t stop entirely — just because you’re unsure about something doesn’t mean it’s not worth a longer look — don’t discard something because it is subtle or slow-moving.

Ask yourself: What’s my connection to my human identity? To my personal goals? Could I stay open to bringing in some new structures that support mastery? Could I combine this with a sustainable relationship with my body and its activities? How might “caution” support me right now? How might “integrity” do the same?

The “right” action depends on knowing when to act and when to wait. What if I were 5% braver about knowing when to stand up or stand down? When to be fluid and when to be firm?

As best you can, slow down, but don’t come to a halt — just because you’re not sure about something doesn’t mean it’s not worth taking a longer look — in other words, don’t discard things because they are subtle or slow-moving.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-2 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)

Also on Saturday, Uranus starts to slow down (station) at 1.5 degrees of Gemini, getting ready for its yearly Retrograde phase (starts on Sept. 5/6th). This Station phase lasts until Sept. 16th.

Uranus recently changed signs from Taurus to Gemini, so the planet’s energy is more exalted for the first time in this versatile Air sign, and we can expect to feel it more strongly.

With Uranus in Gemini, we witness a radical rethinking of how humans connect and communicate — often alongside profound technological leaps and major socio-political restructuring.

Uranus will move more slowly for 3.5 weeks between now and Sept. 16th. We have to face what this exalted planet is trying to communicate to us.

Where might “Freedom” take you? Where have you denied yourself permission to be free? Unique? Simply yourself?

This aspect also helps us to look at how free we truly feel when it comes to our thinking, our ability to learn, and our daily interactions with others.

Sunday, Aug. 24th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Saturday very early morning for details).

Sunday very early morning, a challenging Sun/Uranus aspect, becomes exact at 3:15am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday night (Aug. 20/21) on; it will remain strong until next Wednesday morning (Aug. 27th).

This aspect asks us to stretch a little. We can’t expect much of anything during this time… expect the unexpected!

We feel a great need to make progress with this combo, and it could leave us feeling a bit uncomfortable because it pressures us to do something new and different.

All of this can make us restless, or even anxious, so it’s important to focus on what is in our best interest, rather than on things that don’t serve us in the long run.

Ask yourself: Could I allow myself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable during this time?

This aspect also helps us see things from a more expanded, multidimensional viewpoint — and asks us to think differently!

Uranus is an innovative and insightful planet related to breakdowns and breakthroughs. It is trying to send us a cosmic message right now, and it would be wise to tune in and listen.

Ask yourself: Could I let myself be changed by thoughts or new concepts that enter my awareness, no matter how surprising?

Future visions and humanitarian causes — especially those connected to like-minded people — are likely to experience disruption, calling for flexibility and creative solutions.

As best as you can, go with the flow and stay open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected; if you can, put off making major decisions for the time being… “haste makes waste” during this aspect.

You can think of this as “reorganizing” time — like rearranging your furniture — try not to resist the reorganization.

Enjoy the ride… and remember: it only feels uncomfortable because it’s new and different and unusual.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces, or 28-29 degrees of LeoTaurus, Aquarius, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aquarius (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius).

Sunday morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Neptune aspect, becomes exact at 6:58am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday morning on; it will remain strong until Monday morning (Aug. 25th).

This aspect feels “internal” — inner unease and awkwardness — and we need to make a choice. Given that it is an internal issue, we need to develop inner awareness if we’re to see what needs adjusting.

Our energy tends to be unrealistically directed — and our sense of self may change when we learn that we have wrongly assessed important situations. Our self-trust could take a hit at this time.

Our high ideals may lead us to take on more than we can physically handle. If you start to feel drained or frustrated, it might be helpful to look at the overall direction you have been taking.

Do your best to focus on your physical well-being — get plenty of rest and create quiet time alongside daily demands or routines.

Ask yourself: What would it look like to act on my own inner guidance? What if I chose my battles 5% more wisely? What if I were 5% more patient with myself and others?

It is also worthwhile to look at how others are receiving our ideas: Can we involve them in creating/realizing our dreams? Perhaps we are not sure whether we want to keep dreaming our dream all by our lonesome self or share it with others…

As best as you can, slow down: where there is spaciousness, there is flow; where there is flow, there is effortless creation.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-2 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces)

Sunday late afternoon, a somewhat challenging Sun/Pluto aspect, becomes exact at 4:06pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday late afternoon on; it will remain strong until Monday late afternoon (Aug. 25th).

We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward, and must make a choice. We need to develop inner awareness so that we can make adjustments. This might concern compromising with others.

Our current understanding of life and what is healthy for us hinders our ability to create a future where individuals (and humanity as a whole) are empowered.

Fears about the future and how we fit into it might rise up. The “survival brain” thinks that control brings power, certainty, and stability… but unfortunately, that is all an illusion based on fear.

If it were so, we would all experience certainty and stability and be fully empowered at all times, given that most of us are keen on controlling our circumstances and other people’s behaviors or attitudes.

Ask yourself: Where am I coming from a survival mentality rather than from a whole-hearted connection? Where have my passions tipped into obsessions?

Our fear of being manipulated might make us resentful, or it might make us manipulative ourselves. As best as you can, keep choosing the “better” alternative/the higher road, adjusting as needed.

We might be forced to focus, time and again, on issues we would prefer to ignore. When life challenges you or becomes uncomfortable, open your heart and mind and trust the process.

We are changing and growing in ways we can’t comprehend. Stay as open and observant as you can. Ask yourself: What attitudes are asking to be adjusted or eliminated? What does my heart know that my head needs to hear?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-3 degrees of Virgo, or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo, and Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Aug. 25th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 10:08am EDT; around 5:15am EDT, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase ends (at 15º37′ of Leo). At 9:53am EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC, that lasts for 15 minutes, until 10:08am EDT. At that time, the Moon moves into Libra, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. At 12:27pm EDT, Venus changes signs from Cancer to Leo. And in the late evening, a harmonious Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 8:56pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday noon (Aug. 23rd) on; it will remain strong until Thursday early morning (Aug. 28th). More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…

New Moon in Virgo – the article

On August 23rd at 2:07am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 0º23’ degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. We start to feel the effects of this New Moon the moment the Moon enters Virgo, 43 minutes before the New Moon becomes exact. Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.

Before we get started, I just want to mention my next Star Hour on the Soulivity Community platform.

This is a FREE Livestream event. Join us Saturday, August. 23rd at 12:30pm EDT/9:30am PT/5:30pm London-time!

==> RSVP here to get a reminder email — and if this is your first time joining us, please allow a few extra minutes to get yourself set up on the Soulivity Community platform.

Now back to the New Moon:

For several nights before and after each New Moon, we are in the dark, transitioning between old and new Moon Cycles.

We are called to turn inward, to be extra-receptive to the messages of our feelings, body, and heart. We are invited to get extra rest, release outdated energy patterns, and realign with our true soul intentions.

New Moons are thus the best time to set Intentions for the 28 days following. I will talk about the best and most potent time to plant some seeds towards the end of this article, so stay tuned!

This New Moon is special for several reasons: it takes place in 0 degrees of Virgo (an exalted degree), and is the first of two consecutive New Moons in the same sign.

The next Lunar cycle begins on Sept. 21st — it is also a New Moon in Virgo and the first South Node Solar Eclipse in this Earth sign in 19 years (to be precise, since September 2006). It occurred at 29º of Virgo — and the one this September will too!

Also, because of the upcoming Eclipses, this New Moon starts Eclipse Season and this will last until October 13th, 2025.

16th!

And then we come to Mercury, the messenger, ruler of Virgo

And then we come to Mercury, the messenger, ruler of Virgoit is still in Leo due to its recent Retrograde phase. It will be ending its retrograde post-Shadow phase on Aug. 25th, soon after the New Moon becomes exact, making it possible for us to truly move forward in our lives again.

Virgo teaches us to use our mind in service of helping and healing, rather than in criticism or self-degradation. The highest vibration of Virgo is observation, discernment, and analysis from a neutral standpoint to determine what works and what doesn’t.

Ask yourself: Could I release judgment from my life? Even self-judgment? Could I fill the space left where judgement used to be with nice, deep breaths, remaining neutral throughout? And could I then discern what works and what doesn’t from that place of neutrality?

Virgo seeks to separate the nutrient from the nonessential. It’s about being particular about the details that make the whole. After all, Virgo is the archetype of wholeness, and the daily interactions between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels of our being.

Let’s take a look at some of the aspects of this New Moon chart:

All planetary aspects call for integrating the energies involved; the tighter the aspect, the stronger the message. This New Moon chart has myriad tight aspects. Let’s start with the chart ruler:

Mercury in Leo sextiles Mars in Libra. Due to Mercury’s Station direct phase, we have felt this opportune aspect since August 10th, and will continue to feel it for an unusually long time.

This is a chance to connect thought to action, aligning body and mind.

Our need for balance and harmony keeps us engaged with others, but may also leave us wanting to please them; as best as you can, be authentic, focus on things that bring you joy, and — most of all — choose wisely!

Ask yourself: what might I discover about my inner child or my joyful self-expression if I played it fair all the way down the line? What actions call to me right now? Are those actions connected to feeling joy and having fun?

An exalted Uranus in Gemini squares this New Moon in Virgo. This helps us see things from a more expanded, multidimensional viewpoint — and asks us to think differently.

Ask yourself: Do I wrestle with perfectionism and a strong inner critic?

If the answer is yes, you are most definitely not alone — many of us struggle with daily demands, whether they be work-related or connected to expectations from loved ones, social pressures, peer pressures, health issues, self-esteem issues, etc, etc.

Ask yourself: How can I bring a dash of compassion and neutrality — maybe even discernment — to all of those daily demands and how I deal with them? If nothing was wrong, or ever could be, how would I think of them then?

We feel a great need to make progress with this combo and it could leave us feeling a bit uncomfortable because it pressures us to do something new and different.

All of this can make us restless, or even anxious, so it’s important to focus on what is in our best interest, rather than on things that don’t serve us in the long run.

Ask yourself: Could I allow myself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable over the next couple of weeks?

Uranus is an innovative and insightful planet related to breakdowns and breakthroughs. It is trying to send us a cosmic message right now, and it would be wise to tune in and listen.

Ask yourself: Could I let myself be changed by thoughts or new concepts that enter my awareness, no matter how surprising?

Saturn and Neptune in Aries both make a Quincunx the New Moon. This asks us to make inner adjustments so we can focus on our own path and follow our inner guidance — so be careful that your energy does not become unrealistically directed.

Our self-trust (and even our sense of self) may be affected if we find we have wrongly assessed important situations.

So, do your best slow down, but don’t stop entirely — just because you’re unsure about something doesn’t mean it’s not worth a longer look — don’t discard something because it is subtle or slow-moving.

Our high ideals may lead us to take on more than we can physically handle. If you start to feel drained or frustrated, it might be helpful to look at the overall direction you have been taking.

Do your best to focus on your physical well-being — get plenty of rest and create quiet time alongside daily demands or routines. Where there is spaciousness, there is flow; where there is flow, there is inspired action.

Ask yourself: What would it look like to act on my own inner guidance? What if I chose my battles 5% more wisely? What if I were 5% more patient with myself and others?

The “right” action depends on knowing when to act and when to wait. What if I were 5% braver about knowing when to stand up or stand down? When to be fluid and when to be firm?

In previous videos and articles, I discussed the Minor Triangle between Uranus, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto — and it is still in place, with Saturn and Neptune in Aries forming the focus point.

All of the planets are in early degrees of their signs. That’s new territory, and it sees greatly increased cosmic support for the birth of new social actions and interactions.

Anything that’s brand-new requires a willingness to be bold, brave, and full of conviction. That doesn’t mean we suspend all discernment, but that mean, self-judging inner critic needs to take a break from all that violent self-talk.

These new energies mean we now live in unprecedented, changing times, that call on us to double down on our spiritual practices. We are called to be ourselves, lean into our strengths and gifts, and actively pursue our true desires.

So, be true to yourself, speak your truth and feel your feelings! Set aside time to be quiet, to listen within — your heart is both center and compass, it is all you need to orient and guide you in this new world.

Look to yourself to find what you are looking for and be the change that wish to see — and have been seeking.

Ask yourself: How can I challenge the status quo? Where can I think for myself in a purer way? Where can I design and implement alternatives?

To sum it all up, the message of this New Moon is loud and clear:

This New Moon calls our attention to where small changes could make a big difference in our life.

It spotlights how less can be more, for example by cutting clutter, “busyness”, stress, etc. — and how this translates into a more satisfying and meaningful life over the long term. In other words, simplicity, self-improvement, being of Service, etc.

If we could also let go of criticizing others or denigrating ourselves, we would have a shot at greater peace of mind and connection rather than separation.

With this also being the beginning of Eclipse Season, the coming 7-8 weeks could provide some tailwinds that carry us to significant breakthroughs.

We are invited to learn how to be more conscious creators, mindful of how our thinking and choices affect our personal and collective experiences.

With so much shifting, collectively and personally, many of us might feel exhausted. Inner work can take as much energy as physical work, sometimes more, so take extra-special care of your body, mind, and feelings!

For the next 28 days, dedicate yourself to the essential, keeping compassion alight in your heart! The Japanese have a saying: “If perfection could be attained, it would not be worth having.” So enjoy the journey!

Finally, in times of rapid change, it helps to keep the big picture in mind. Humanity is in the midst of an evolutionary shift. And every breakthrough started as a breakdown.

Also feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject.

So this month, the best and most potent time to set intentions would be between 2:07am on Aug. 23rd, and 2:07am on Aug. 25th. (as with all my times, these times are in EDT, the New York time zone). There is no Moon VoC during the most potent time to set our Intentions, so we have free rein between those times.

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (as a reminder, that’s the US East Coast time zone), feel free to join my Facebook Fan-page, or follow me on Instagram. I will be posting reminders during this most potent time to let you know when it is time to set your intentions.

August 11th – 17th

Connect Thought to Action

This week’s headline items: Mercury comes to a halt early Monday, as it ends its 3-week Retrograde phase, and enters its post-Shadow phase (it will remain exalted all week). The last Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact on Friday night. Mercury finally ends its Station phase on Sunday.

There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday very early morning (for a little over 27.5 hours), Wednesday evening (for 14.5 hours), and Friday night (for almost 11 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 11th

Monday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day; it will journey there until Tuesday early morning. This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative than usual.

We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all, especially those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But that idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities.

A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also an excellent time to release fears—especially those based on a sense of separation—and experience “oneness.”

Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Monday at 2:55am EDT, we enter a long Moon VoC that will last for 27.5 hours, until 6:33am EDT (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time to tap into a nice feeling of ease and an ability to trust and connect with loved ones.

As best as you can, trust your intuitive sensing right now, allow whatever feelings or sensations comes up to be beneficial for you.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday very early morning until Tuesday morning ahead of time!

Monday at 3:30am EDT, Mercury comes to a halt again at almost 4 degrees of Leo — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase (which began on July 17/18th at 15.5 degrees of Leo), and slowly starts its direct motion again.

As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind, and pay attention to anything that is in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again when Mercury moves through its post-Shadow phase — more on that in a moment…

We are slowly ready to shift our focus back towards the outer world again, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective.

Ask yourself: What did I learn about myself? What inner chatter that no longer sparks joy was I able to silence?

Was there anything I needed to express, release, or change to feel fully heart-centered and authentically myself? Where have I gained insight into myself over the past 3 weeks? Where do I still need to be more fully myself?

What did my inner dialog teach me? How might I share my findings in a healthy way?

When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Aug. 17th), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 2-6 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio.

Monday after 3:30am EDT, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until Aug. 24th…. as you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back:

If you want to buy, sell, or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde, and after it goes direct.

This is especially true if the items are connected to travel, physical activities, technology, transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.), or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) Click here to read my blog on the subject.

Monday very late in the evening, a long-term, opportune Saturn/Uranus aspect becomes exact again at 11:32pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from July 4th on; it will remain strong until Sept. 8th.

We already experienced this aspect once before — exact on April 4th — strong from March 10th – May 12th, 2025. Think back to those dates, what opportunities were unfolding for you during that time?

Due to Saturn’s Retrograde phase between July 13th and Nov. 27th, we will experience this aspect a third time in January 2026 (exact on the 20th).

An opportune aspect supports the incorporation of new ideas and changes; this particular one facilitates commitments around our vision for a better future — especially how we interact and communicate with others, and within our daily commute.

All aspects connect back to the previous conjunction. Saturn and Uranus were last conjunct in Sagittarius in 1988; this marked the beginning of a cycle that will conclude in June 2032. At that point, Saturn and Uranus will start a new cycle in a late degree of Gemini.

If you remember 1988, ask yourself: What began in your life? What did you learn about life? Who have you become because of those experiences?

Returning to our current Saturn/Uranus combination: By focusing tightly on ourselves, we gain a better understanding of our thought processes, which helps us express our unique ideas, quirks, and differences. We can more readily dedicate ourselves to goals that help us with this — and by learning more about our mental abilities, we can accomplish more in less time.

This combination presents an opportunity for significant progress and long-term changes in how we connect with others, ourselves, and the planet. It could lead to a healthier relationship with our planet and our ability to communicate and exchange ideas.

Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store — certainly unexpected ones.

Ask yourself: How might an open mind benefit me and others? As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe!

Remember, though: “opportunities” are not automatically granted to us. We have to “realize” them.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-3 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Leo, Aquarius, or 29 degrees of Pisces, Taurus, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius or Capricorn (the Saturn rules Capricorn; Uranus rules Aquarius).

Tuesday, Aug. 12th

Tuesday, the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 6:33am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday very early morning, a Venus/Jupiter alignment in 14 degrees of Cancer becomes exact at 1:30am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last Friday evening (Aug. 8th) on; it will remain strong until this Friday early morning (Aug. 15th).

This planetary alignment fosters optimism in social and personal relationships, along with a strong desire for closer emotional bonds and explorations of family, feelings, and intimacy with loved ones.

Humor plays a big role in our interactions with others, as do tolerance, open-mindedness, and enthusiasm.

Financially, things are trending upward, and we might be able to expand our bankrolls. The top investment areas are “hearth and home”: real estate (including home improvements), family, food (such as restaurants or cooking), anything related to “heading home.” Projects that involve nurturing or gaining a new perspective on our past are also good investment choices.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Venus’s movements and aspects, Jupiter rules Sagittarius)

Tuesday at 6:33am EDT, the Moon moves into pioneering, fast-paced Aries, where it will journey until late Thursday morning. Life is an adventure; we’re more open to new ideas and enthusiastic about new projects.

Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly and act promptly. Our independence and dynamism are important to us, so we may struggle to be disciplined or accept advice.

In general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Mars, the ruler of Aries is currently in Libra. This makes the next two days a great time to examine collaborations and how we come across in one-on-one relationships.

We may feel more energized when engaged in projects that involve others’ input. We may seek a more balanced approach to doing things.

Given all this, it’s vital to pursue our personal goals and channel our energy into relationships that provide a sense of equality and a balanced masculine-feminine experience.

Ask yourself: What simple action would move me one step closer to better relationships and collaborations? How can I lead without domination? How could I find a balanced way to express my feminine and masculine energies?

Wednesday, Aug. 13th

Wednesday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday from 2:50am – 10:50am EDT, if you are awake during this time, ensure you allocate time for family matters or home projects while also pursuing your passions and being your authentic self. (Moon in Aries squares Jupiter in Cancer, exact at 6:51am EDT)

Wednesday from 4:05am – 1:05pm EDT, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

Make space for family and value your emotionally safe connections with others — or for taking care of your own personal desires and needs by going after your goals or passions.

Flexibility and adaptability are key if you mean to move forward with your plans and projects…(Moon in Aries squares Venus in Cancer, exact at 9:03am EDT)

Wednesday at 6:54pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 14.5 hours, until 9:22am EDT (Thursday late morning). Use this intuitive time to be creative and self-expressed. As best as you can, keep your heart wide open and do something fun!

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday evening until Thursday late morning ahead of time!

Thursday, Aug. 14th

Thursday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries and VoC until 9:22am EDT (see Tuesday morning for details).

Thursday at 9:22am EDT, the Moon moves into steady, peaceful, comfort-loving Taurus, where it will journey until Saturday afternoon. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and stick with what works well.

In other words, change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.

This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Friday night/Saturday very early morning).

Thursday late evening, an opportune Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact at 10:05pm EDT. Due to Mercury’s Station direct phase, we will feel this combo for an unusually long time. We started to feel this aspect build from last Sunday morning (Aug. 10th) on; it will remain strong until next week, Friday evening (Aug. 22nd).

This aspect provides an opportunity to connect thought to action. Body and mind can align; words and deeds connect with ease. As with any opportunity, we have to “take” this one: it will not happen by itself.

Ask yourself: What actions call to me today? How are those actions connected to feeling joy and having fun?

Our need for balance and harmony keeps us engaged with others, but may also leave us wanting to please them; as best as you can, be authentic, focus on things that bring you joy, and — most of all — choose wisely!

Ask yourself: what might I discover about my inner child or my joyful self-expression if I played it fair all the way down the line?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 3-7 degrees of Leo, Libra, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries).

Friday, Aug. 15th

Friday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful, comfort-loving Taurus all day (see Thursday late morning for details).

Friday from 7:15am – 1:15pm EDT, we are invited to support our need for material and physical comfort with a more familiar approach. We can adopt a wider perspective and a more optimistic attitude towards the past, our family, and how we want to be supported by others.

What if we got a wider perspective about our past, and our upbringing? What was truly important to us back then? How has that informed our sense of self-worth? (Moon in Taurus sextiles Jupiter in Cancer, exact at 10:14am EDT)

Friday from 1:15pm – 7:15pm EDT, we have an opportunity to connect with family and loved ones in a nurturing way — and, indeed, to connect with all of them from the heart.

Ask yourself: What might become possible if I let myself enjoy others in the mutual pursuit of any shared values? What if I were open to receiving practical support as well as giving it? (Moon in Taurus sextiles Venus in Cancer, exact at 4:16pm EDT)

Friday night at 1:12am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 11 hours, until 12:01pm EDT (Tuesday afternoon). Use this intuitive time to make some creative choices — on the one hand, you need to make room for peace and physical pleasure (a massage would be a great example)…

On the other hand, you need to be aware of your own self-expression and joy. You may need to make some adjustments between these two seemingly irreconcilable needs.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday night until Saturday afternoon ahead of time!

Also on Friday night at 1:12am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 23.5° of Taurus becomes exact. We started to feel this energy build from the moment the Moon entered Taurus on Thursday late morning. The Moon in steady, peaceful Taurus makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in self-expressed, proud Leo.

During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing projects we began around the last New Moon — in this case, that would be July 24th — instead of launching new ones.

Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally or with others).

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-26 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius? If so, you will strongly feel this month’s last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer).

Saturday, Aug. 16th

Saturday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful, comfort-loving Taurus and VoC until 12:01pm EDT (see Thursday late morning and Friday night for details).

Saturday at 12:01pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until next week, Monday afternoon (Aug. 18th). For the next 2 days, we would like to learn, connect, and interact as much as possible.

“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead…

Saturday from 10:40am – 4:40pm EDT, we are invited to bring a new level of focus and authenticity to who we are being in every “moment of now” — and to how we can be the best version of ourselves while connecting with others.

What if exchanging information with others placed them on the path that leads to the best version of themselves? (Moon in Gemini sextiles Saturn in Aries, exact at 1:39pm EDT)

Saturday from 10:10am – 6:10pm EST, we tend to think outside the box and maybe feel a bit scatterbrained or at least have a restless mind. Our desire to share and gather unusual information is quite strong.

We can experience lots of breakthroughs and want to change our outlook fast. Patience is probably not at the top of our list. However, new ideas are quite easily to come by. (Moon in Gemini conjuncts Uranus, exact at 2:11pm EDT)

Saturday from 11:30am – 7:30pm EDT, we seek mentally stimulating, progress-oriented conversations. We are invited to bring emotional authenticity to our visions and dive deeply into something exciting. (Moon in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius, exact at 3:31pm EDT)

Saturday from 7:35pm until 1:35am EDT, we can connect with others and express ourselves playfully and from the heart. What might become possible if we exchanged information with others to create more heart-openings? (Moon in Gemini sextiles Mercury in Leo, exact at 10:33pm EDT)

Sunday, Aug. 17th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Saturday afternoon for details).

Sunday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, after a 3-week Retrograde phase — ending its Station phase in Leo. Communication and transportation are now back to “normal” as are any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.

New ideas and information received during the Mercury Retrograde phase (July 17/18th – Aug. 11th) can now be reviewed.

Sunday night, an opportune Mercury/Mars aspect becomes exact for the second time this week, at 1:33am EDT.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 4-9 degrees of Leo, Libra, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Aries (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Mars rules Aries).

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Aug. 18th): the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 3:05pm EDT; at 7:53am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 7 hours, until 3:05pm EDT. At that time, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…

Full Moon in Aquarius – the article

On Aug. 9th at 3:55am EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact at 17 degrees of Aquarius-Leo. The Moon’s entry into Aquarius Thursday late evening (Aug. 7th) initiates the energetic build-up towards this Full Moon.

Oppositions always reflect back to the planets’ conjunction; we examine the progress made since that conjunction. For example, during a Full Moon, we look back to the previous New Moon (in this instance, July 24th) to assess what has evolved since then.

Here are the astrological highlights of this Full Moon chart:

We have several oppositions in this Full Moon chart, a “Kite” Configuration that involves all of the outer planets, and a “Rectangle” configuration. Sounds quite interesting and unusual, and that’s because it is!

But first, let’s talk about the Full Moon polarity: Here we have two oppositions in the same polarity: The Sun-Moon opposition, and a Mercury-Pluto opposition in Aquarius-Leo.

These oppositions highlight the power of our creativity as individuals and the exponential potency of collaboration. It invites us to reclaim ourselves and add our voice, heart, and hands to something meaningful.

Since Mercury is still in retrograde motion until August 11th, we may need to look back before we can move forward.

The invitation with this opposition is to dare to be different and to remember how we are all part of a larger whole. The highest quest of Leo leads to authentic Self-expression: to embody our gifts, shine our light, and live our truth.

The highest task of Aquarius, on the other hand, is the attainment of unity in diversity, where everyone’s uniqueness is honored and included.

When we align our heads with our hearts, we feel our interconnectedness with all of humanity and create and connect from love instead of fear.

Given that Leo represents our self-expression and Aquarius our vision for humankind, a question arises: How can we best balance these two energies? Or even integrate them?

We’ll seek answers to this question for the next two weeks, as we might become more aware that something is out of alignment.

All Full Moons have a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or embrace…

As always, with shadow aspects of ourselves, we need to beware of getting triggered and jumping to conclusions; we need to take time to respond rather than react.

Back to the shadow sides of this Full Moon — let’s start with Leo’s shadow side:

Leo’s shadow can show up as self-centeredness or narcissism — picture a child that cannot see beyond itself, is not aware of other people in the room, and cannot look past the current moment to the consequences down the line.

Ask yourself: Where in my life do I take things too personally? Have I ever created drama when I couldn’t see a way to possess what I desire? Where do I tend to be self-indulgent? What role does pride play?

The less self-connection and self-knowledge we possess, the more we depend on others for our identity.

To develop a healthy connection to our inner child, we must learn to keep an open heart and let ourselves be playful and creative. We must also learn to express our needs and desires to have open, authentic conversations with others, which requires courage and self-confidence.

So ask yourself: What if I expressed myself with 5% more courage? What might open up if I did that with my heart as my center? What might my world look like if I allowed my light to shine just 5% brighter?

Let’s look at Aquarius’s shadow side: this can show up when we get overly attached to the mind and its functions, especially idealized visions, rigid thinking about the future, etc. “Headiness” kicks in, and the mind’s activity reaches an all-time high.

The shadow side of Aquarius may hold lofty ideals but leave us clueless as to how to “be the change we wish to see in the world” — instead, we want others to be that change.

The classic setup here sees us disconnecting from inner moment-to-moment joy to improve our future, “humanity”, or “the world at large” — the latter two stem from Aquarius’s association with group consciousness and group-mind.

The shadow side of Aquarius thus expresses itself in herd mentality, where peer pressure can drive people to conform and react — often unconsciously.

Fear of rejection or ostracism might have us shy away from standing out, so ask yourself (and be honest with yourself here): How have I avoided following my heart so I can “keep in with the crowd” or a particular group of people? What might I change if I gave 5% less energy to fears of ridicule or rejection?

As mentioned earlier, this aspect is an invitation to balance and integrate the two polarities involved to bring about a brighter future for humankind, so ask yourself: What would it look like if I gave the go-ahead for that merger? What if I chose, right here and now, to contribute to humanity from a courageous, heart-centered, and authentic place? What if I simply chose that, right now?

It’s essential to be especially aware and responsible when connecting with others, so as best as you can, get present and ask yourself: What am I bringing forth? What are my intentions? Am I coming from love and the heart? Or fear and survival?

Now let’s take a look at some of the other, more interesting aspects of this Full Moon chart:

Let’s start with the “Kite” Configuration that involves all of the outer planets. When one or more celestial bodies makes two Sextiles to two other planets that are part of a Grand Trine, we call this a “Kite” configuration in astrology.

This particular Kite configuration consists of a Grand Air Trine involving Mars in Libra, Uranus in Gemini, and Pluto in Aquarius, as well as those Sextiles, which create the apex point of the Kite.

The planet(s) that sits on the apex point of the Kite (connected to those Sextiles) become the “lead planets”. These “lead planets” point to our opportunity for forward movement and growth — in this case, there are two lead planets: the Saturn-Neptune alignment in Aries.

As the Saturn-Neptune alignment in Aries sits on the apex point of the Kite, it invites us to focus on ourselves, our goals and our own humanity.

We are invited to step up in an adult manner, reimagine ourselves, and embody a vision that allows us to be the heroes of our own story — and also to make a heroic effort to become the best version of ourselves possible.

Ask yourself: What would it look like to be the best version of myself? What would it take to live into that version of myself, one day at time?

What heroic but straightforward action could I take to bring that vision to life? How could I bring this vision of myself to my relationships? Could I dare to take that action today with my heart wide open?

Uranus, the ruler of Aquarius, currently moving through Gemini, is also part of this Kite-configuration. Uranus in Gemini shakes up the very structure of our thoughts and conversations.

Uranus’ new journey through this fickle Air sign, asks us: Where are we being called to rewire our mental circuits? How might old paradigms be holding us back? What new perspectives are waiting to be born through disruption?

Now, let’s talk about the “Rectangle” configuration. That configuration consists of at least two Oppositions, two Trines, and two Sextiles.

The Rectangle configuration is a dynamic, highly integrated configuration suggesting a strong drive to act and make a difference.

This particular “Rectangle” consists of three oppositions: Mars’ oppositions to Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and Mercury’s opposition to Pluto in Aquarius. Then there are three Trines: Mercury’s Trines to Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and Mars’ Trine to Pluto in Aquarius. Last but not least we also have three Sextiles: Pluto sextiles Saturn and Neptune in Aries, and Mercury sextiles Mars in Libra.

Mars in Libra is the activating lever of this Rectangle, as it helps initiate what’s been building these past months in the background. Now that Mars has reached Libra, our actions can move us toward something that matters.

In other words, with this configuration, we don’t just take action to take action – we take deliberate, well-timed action that clicks into place just at the right time.

We are attracted to important causes now, so there is a strong chance that we will put our talents to good use right now.

To sum it all up, this Full Moon highlights the archetypes of individuality and diversity, creativity and collaboration, passion and progress. It urges us to remember that we all have an important part to play in humanity’s evolution — that we were born for this challenging transition on Planet Earth.

We now have the power to alter our consciousness and release deeply ingrained patterns and beliefs. Extra rest, hydration, and time in Nature help ground and integrate these intense shifts that are happening.

When uncertain, ask to be shown the next step — and at all times, do your best to listen to your body, and be extra kind to yourself and others.

Sending love and compassionate care helps to soften the energetic field that connects us all, making it easier for others to feel a deeper resonant connection in their heart.

We can come together to create the difference we want to see, rather than waiting for something to happen… Each person’s emotions, attitudes, and intentions affect the energetic field…

Ask yourself: What role do I wish to play at this pivotal time on Earth? Could I be open to the people, places, and situations guiding me and bringing me the next clue?

Could I suspend my brilliant theories about the way the world works (or used to work)? Could I accept the possibility that what I have learned in the past may not be the most reliable guide to understanding the new way of life that is unfolding?

The more healed and open our hearts, the more easily we can see what’s really true and stay true to ourselves, and the more accepting we can be of others.

And always remember your divinity and interdependence, choose love over fear, and lift yourself and humanity out of the old paradigm of separation and scarcity towards unity and abundance.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 15-19 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer)

August 4th – 10th

Achieve Balance

This week’s headline items: Mercury remains exalted all week; Mars changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Wednesday evening; Mercury’s Station intensifies on Thursday, as it gets ready to end its 3-week Retrograde phase. The Lion’s Gate will be exact on Friday (08/08); the Full Moon in Aquarius becomes exact early Saturday, and Chiron ends it’s Station that same day, though it remains retrograde.

There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Tuesday late morning (for 1.5 hours), Wednesday afternoon (for a little over 31.5 hours), and Saturday very early morning (for 23 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 4th

Monday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all dayit will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn.

We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — and we’re also physically restless and must burn that off with activity and physical exercise.

We tend to feel more open, optimistic, and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, we’d rather inspire others to do things our way than issue or obey orders.

Inspiring others could come easier than usual, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree once they see what we see.

As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming everyone is on the same page.

Improvisation works well for us now, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.

Monday until 6:15am EDT, we are invited to enjoy this time as much as we can — we have plenty of energy, so if you are awake, use it to explore something new about life or yourself or have some fun! (Moon in Sagittarius trines the Sun in Leo, exact at 2:12am EDT)

Monday from 12:45am – 4:45am EDT, we are invited to make some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges…

On the one hand, we want a horizon-expanding adventure; on the other hand, we want to explore our perspectives on family, home, safety, and emotional well-being. (Moon in Sagittarius quincunxes Jupiter in Cancer, exact at 2:44am EDT)

Mars starts to make some powerful aspects to all of the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) as well as Saturn. They will all become exact by the end of this week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday). So stay tuned for more on those…

It’s a sign that we are ready for a jumpstart. Check to see: where are you being called to take some important actions in service of a long-term agenda?

Tuesday, Aug. 5th

Tuesday, the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 1:04pm EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 11:29am EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last for 1.5 hours, until 1:04pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments.

As best, you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to problem-solve and manage your daily health- and work routines.

As best as you can, discern what is needed in the moment, and be mindful of where you expend your energy.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday late morning until the early afternoon ahead of time.

Tuesday at 1:04pm EDT, the Moon moves into ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until Thursday late evening. We tend to be more realistic, serious, and cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges, bringing with it a need for structure and planning. When you add in the pragmatism this Moon placement supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can, avoid “should-ing” on yourself during this aspect. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying, “I am doing the best I can, and that’s all I can ever do.”

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn and is currently transiting through Aries. It’s a great time to focus on our passions and goals. As best as you can, work on what lights you up, one day at a time, and get serious about new paths and projects.

This involves critically examining what you pursue and reject, and adopting a more direct approach when it comes to yourself and with others. Ask yourself: What do I stand for? Where do I need to focus my efforts to earn respect?

Tuesday from 11:55am until 7:55pm EDT, we feel a strong desire for accomplishment, but we need to adjust and be realistic when it comes to our personal desires and passions — slowing down is key! (Moon in Capricorn squares Saturn in Aries, exact at 3:54pm EDT)

Tuesday from 12:44pm until 8:44pm EDT, we are invited to make adjustments and find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.

As best as you can, satisfy your need to focus on long-term goals or plan your next steps, while making space for an imaginative and intuitive approach to your personal projects. Compassion and a sense of flow are crucial! (Moon in Capricorn squares Neptune in Aries, exact at 4:44pm EDT)

Wednesday, Aug. 6th

Wednesday, the Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn all day (see Tuesday early afternoon for details).

Wednesday at 1:40pm EDT, we enter a very long Moon VoC that will last for a little over 31.5 hours, until 9:18pm EDT (Thursday late evening).

Use this intuitive time to balance your need for achievement and growing in your career goals against your desire to tap into a greater wisdom that helps you grow on an emotional level and with what’s truly important to you.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday afternoon until Thursday late evening ahead of time!

Wednesday at 7:23pm EDT, Mars changes signs from detail-oriented, practical, service-oriented Virgo to relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking, justice and equality-oriented Libra.

Mars will journey through Libra until Sept. 22nd. Until then, we are more inclined to put our energy into projects that involve equal partnerships, cooperation, and justice.

We are also looking to achieve physical balance. Passions may run high during this time; sexual tension and competitiveness with others are also possible. It can be a stimulating, creative, passionate, and invigorating time.

That said, we might seek more independence in our relationships — and patience with others is most likely not going to be our strong suit.

As best as you can, use this energy to initiate new relationships and to find harmonious solutions for relationship issues. Give your body time to connect to that place of inner balance.

Mars last journeyed through Libra from Aug. 27th until Oct. 11th, 2023. Think back to that time and ask yourself: What projects were underway? What got initiated? How can I take those to the next level?

If you have an Aries Sun- or Rising sign, you are going to be quite a bit more focused on relationship issues and justice. If you are a Libra Sun-sign or Rising sign, you will feel quite energized and passionate for the next 6.5 weeks. Channeling this energy into physical exercise or a project might be advisable.

Thursday, Aug. 7th

Thursdaythe Moon remains in ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn and VoC until 9:18pm EDT (see Tuesday early afternoon and Wednesday afternoon for details).

Thursday, Mercury’s station intensifies at 4-5 degrees of Leo, as Mercury is preparing to come to a halt next week, Monday very early morning (ending its 3-week Retrograde phase).

We feel Mercury’s energies even more strongly during this intensified Station phase. It will remain at its most intense until Aug. 14th. Going with the flow is recommended at this time.

Pay attention to anything “in your face”. You will get a chance to address things more directly, after the 14th.

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant) or personal planets in 2-7 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, or Scorpio.

Thursday at 9:18pm EDT, the Moon moves in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Sunday very early morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement.

Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, innovative methods, and progress are promoted while the Moon moves through Aquarius.

Again, we have our eyes on the future — or outer space — and personal freedom becomes paramount.

Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius — and this planet is currently moving through Gemini, making these next two days a great time to look at the way we think and process information.

It’s also a great time to innovate and make changes in our lives, particularly around any mental concepts that no longer serve us or keep us stuck in the past. We need to elevate our thinking if we want our mind and our connections with others to vibrate at a higher frequency.

Ask yourself:

  • Do I need to feed my mind something different to raise it to a higher vibration?
  • When I tune in to my thoughts, what insights emerge?
  • Where have I experienced information overload?
  • How do I connect to technology? The media?
  • External sources aside, am I experiencing information overload from my “inner voice”?
  • Where do I need to open up some mental space?
  • Where do I need to deploy greater mental flexibility?

This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon (exact on Saturday early morning). You can read my Full Moon article on the subject here

Friday, Aug. 8th

Friday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Thursday late evening for details).

We entered the Lion’s Gate Portal on Monday, July 28th, it peaks today, August 8th (08/08), and we will be in it until August 12th.

The Lion’s Gate Portal is one of the most potent periods in the Astrological Year, providing intensified cosmic support for awakening and connecting with our higher selves. The more open we are to receiving these higher frequencies, the more we can rise to the next level of our evolution.

Meditation, art, and spending time in nature can help with this process. We are more likely to receive important insights and remember our soul’s intentions.

Tune in, and allow for an energetic reset — this is a rare chance to clear lifetimes of conditioning and step into the authentic YOU that creates from pure intention.

Friday afternoon, a harmonious Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 9:53am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Sunday evening (August 3rd) on; it will remain strong until next Wednesday late morning (August 13th).

This aspect signals a time when our energy level is much higher than usual — among other effects, we may find we can work for long hours without fatigue, or feel “driven”, especially in new and unusual directions.

It could be that we receive backing from unusual sources. In general, our efforts are successful, and we scale new heights of originality. As best as you can, stay open to new and unexpected things.

Highly recommended: Group activities and “causes” — and connecting to like-minded people who share your passion for creating relationships and projects that move everyone forward.

This is our time to gain access to a space where new energies and unexpected opportunities can emerge.

Ask yourself: What does my mind need to raise its frequency? How could I honor that? What do I notice when I pay attention to my collaborations with others? What innovative solutions would help to turn those insights into results?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Libra, Gemini, Aquarius, or 28-29 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries, or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

Friday late evening, a Mars/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 10:52pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday morning (Aug. 4th) on; it will remain strong until next Wednesday morning (Aug. 13th).

This opposition invites us to balance our commitment to self-mastery against our desire to start projects or relationships that support our long-term goals.

We may face obstacles, mental and physical blockages, or opposition to our sense of Self or our desire for collaborations. We also might become more cautious now.

We are invited to live in moderation now — but this may be frustrating as we face tests or trials that remind us that pushing too hard or fast doesn’t always get us the results we want.

It’s time to slow down a little and catch our breath. Taking responsibility for what is and isn’t doable is key!

Ask yourself: What would it look like if I took things one step at a time? What is the reality of a situation that I find myself in? What is the certain outcome of my pushing people over the long-term? If I try too hard to control my outcomes? What mental toll might that take on me?

Mars is the inner teenager, and Saturn is the inner adult. Mars wants to move fast and get results, Saturn wants us to slow down and focus on the essential — and sustainable over a long time. What would it take to find your inner balance with those two archetypes?

If we are experiencing these energies within a relationship, we can ask ourselves which of them we are living out:

Am I being impatient? Or am I scared that I have missed something essential — that something is not going to work out long-term?

Whichever one of those questions resonates more, allow yourself to focus on what you actually have control over, and as best as you can, be patient; trust that everyone else involved will eventually meet you where you are.

Mars last aligned with Saturn (in Pisces) on April 10th of 2024Think back to that time: What began? What seeds were planted? What commitments did you make? How far have you come since then?

In other words, what has emerged since Spring 2024, in regards to your spiritual practices, heeding your intuitive knowing, being present in the here and now?

You are also now more aware of what you have (and haven’t) accomplished since then… Do you like what you see? Is there room for more integration?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer, Capricorn or 28-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in  Aries or Capricorn (since Mars is the ruler of Aries, while Saturn rules Capricorn)

Saturday, Aug. 9th

Saturday at 3:55am EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact at 17 degrees of Aquarius-Leo.

All Full Moons have a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or embrace ==> Read my “Full Moon in Aquarius” article for more details on this polarity and its shadow sides!

Also at 3:55am EDT, we enter a long Moon VoC that will last for 23 hours, until 2:50am EDT (Sunday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to create a balance between your need for a cause that changes the future for some (or many), versus being aware of how you express yourself from a heartfelt, joyful and courageous place out there in the world.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday early morning until Sunday very early morning ahead of time!

Saturday eveninga Mars/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 6:13pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening (Aug. 4th) on; it will remain strong until next Thursday morning (Aug. 14th).

This aspect asks us to find a balance between “doing” and “being”. It could be a confusing time if we don’t allow intuition to guide us. We may also feel de-energized if we take on too much.

We may not feel as grounded in reality when it comes to our personal goals or collaborations with others. We also might have a hard time expressing our anger or asserting ourselves, so passive-aggressive behaviors are likely.

We can lose our bearings during this opposition, so as best as you can, go with the flow, have faith, and let your heart guide you — and have compassion for yourself and others — this is a good time to forgive ourselves and others for any confusion or missteps.

Mars last aligned with Neptune (in Pisces) on April 28th of 2024Think back to that time: What began? What seeds were planted? What commitments did you make? How far have you come since then?

In other words, what has emerged since Spring 2024, in regards to your spiritual practices, heeding your intuitive knowing, being present in the here and now?

You are likely also more aware of what you have (and haven’t) been able to release or transcend since then. Do you like what you see? Where is there still room for more integration?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer, Capricorn or 29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in  Aries or Capricorn (since Mars is the ruler of Aries, while Saturn rules Capricorn)

Also, on Saturday, although now retrograde in Aries, Chiron resumes its normal pace through the sky (ending its Station phase). We now have a chance to do some internal work on any wounding or insecurities around personal identity, physical appearance, or personal goals that came up over the last couple of weeks.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to watch any of my webinars that I currently offer in connection with the “Chiron in Aries” energy…

Sunday, Aug. 10th:

Sunday at 2:50am EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Tuesday early morning (Aug. 12th).

Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, is currently in Aries, making the next two days a great time to examine how we embody our spiritual understanding — including how we put it into action and “are the change we want to see in the world.”

How can we infuse our interactions with 5% more idealism, spirituality, and creativity? How can we experience ourselves as spiritual or creative warriors?

It’s also a great time to center ourselves in our hearts, inspire others through new and exciting ideas or dreams, and demonstrate compassion and kindness.

Ask yourself: What did the last 14 years teach me about my intuition? What lessons did I learn about the interconnectivity of all life? What sacred gift was I given? Where will I use that gift?

What am I called to bring forth? What could I inspire in others? What action is inner knowing guiding me to take next?

Sunday morning, a harmonious Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 8:29am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until next Thursday evening (August 14th). This aspect helps us clarify our visions and support collaboration with others on shared goals on an equal footing.

We are able to see more clearly where we are heading and what we want to realize for ourselves and others.

Ask yourself: What actions would bring me closer to my desired personal and global future? What visionary truths would I like to achieve within my one-on-one relationships?

Our vitality and energy levels are at a high point. We are most likely feeling ambitious and dynamic right now and this can be a very productive time.

Our recuperative powers are excellent, and our health — for the most part — is robust. That said, we may feel co-dependent at times with others and this may bring up resentments and passive-aggressive behaviors.

Ask yourself: How can I constructively channel my “need” to gain approval (or avoid conflict) into activities that require a diplomatic approach?

We might feel inspired to build up our physical and mental strength during this time, and this is a good idea — we can develop greater endurance and vitality now, which will rejuvenate our body and mind.

This is definitely a strong energy for collaborative projects and activities that foster a more empowering future for ourselves and others.

It is also quite a sexy combination. As best as you can, leverage this powerful mixture of energies to go after the things you have been wanting for a while now — and as Pluto is involved, use it all to fulfill your Soul’s purpose.

Anything that we feel deeply passionate about and feels in complete alignment with our deepest core is likely part of our Soul’s journey.

What moves you? What turns you on? Not just physically, but also on an emotional and spiritual level? What would you do differently if every interaction moved you closer or further away from a future of passion and purpose?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Libra, Aquarius, Gemini, or 29 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn, or Taurus? If so, you will feel especially blessed by this connection. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries, or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Aug. 11th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day; at 2:55am EDT, we enter a long Moon VoC that will last for 27.5 hours, until 6:33am EDT (Tuesday morning). At 3:30am EDT, Mercury comes to a halt again at almost 4 degrees of Leo — ending its 3-week Retrograde phase (which began on July 17/18th at 15.5 degrees of Leo), and slowly starts its direct motion again. After 3:30am EDT, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until Aug. 24th. Monday very late in the evening, a long-term, opportune Saturn/Uranus aspect becomes exact again at 11:32pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from July 4th on; it will remain strong until Sept. 8th. More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, July 28th

Monday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day; it will journey there until tonight/Tuesday very early morning, turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome.

We are generous with our time and services and love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Monday early afternoon,  an opportune Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 12:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday evening (July 26th) on; it will remain strong until Wednesday early morning (July 30th).

This is an opportunity to bring healing to our wounds around relationships or our sense of self-worth. We get a chance to love ourselves and heal deep fears of not being “good enough”.

Healing happens much faster when we can open to forgiving ourselves and others. As best as you can, bring compassion and understanding to yourself, to others, and to those past experiences that wounded you.

Ask yourself: How might an honest conversation support my healing journey at this time? Who might I want to have such a conversation with?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).

Monday at 8:57pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 5 hours, until 1:43am EDT (Tuesday very early morning – July 29th).  Use this intuitive time to be precise and practical in your thinking and with your work, and you also want to connect, interact and learn from others.

This tension invites you to stretch a little and resolve it through creative solutions — the key here is to be of service, so you don’t drive yourself or others crazy.

You may feel a little scatterbrained or all over the map. As best as you can, stay flexible — and don’t be too hard on yourself!

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan for Monday evening through early Tuesday in advance.

Tuesday, July 29th

Tuesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo and VoC until 1:43am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 1:43am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Thursday afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating.

These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No”

One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Tuesday after 6:35am EDT,it’s time to take actions on our New Moon intentions: if you set Intentions on Thursday afternoon/evening or Friday all day — after the New Moon became exact — today (Tuesday) will be the best time to start taking relevant actions.

If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?

Feel free to watch my “New Moon in Leo” video again (or for the first time 🙂 to see what actions might align with the current New Moon energies.

Tuesday at 11:59pm EDT, we enter a very, very long Moon VoC that will last for almost 37.5 hours, until 1:25pm EDT (Thursday afternoon). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life and find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations.

As best as you can, broaden your perspective on family, “feeling at home”, and how your past relates to those areas. Seek win-win outcomes in one-on-one relationships.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday night through Thursday afternoon in advance!!!

Wednesday, July 30th

Wednesday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC all day! (see Tuesday very early morning and very late evening for details).

Wednesday at 10:42am EDT, Chiron comes to a halt at 27º09′ of Aries, starting its yearly 5-month Retrograde phase. This Retrograde phase lasts until January 2, 2026, when it moves back to 22.5 ° of Aries.

As you may recall from last week, Chiron is known as “The Wounded Healer”; in Aries, it draws our attention to physical and sexual wounds, as well as wounding related to our self-identity and masculine energies.

Be alert for any triggers connected to your past.

For those of you who want to have a better understanding of your personal healing journey, feel free to get the mp3 audio recording of my Chiron workshop: “Healing with Astrology”

Please keep in mind that as a Member of this online community, you can get access to this workshop via your Member’s account (click on the “My Courses” tab)

Until January 2nd of next year, we have the opportunity to connect with and explore our physical wounds and insecurities on a deeper, more internal level.

We may need to put any wounds around the “masculine approach” to things under the magnifying glass — while there, do your best to take a closer look at how you might bring compassion and understanding to them.

What might you discover about those wounds if you really looked? How could others benefit from your discoveries?

You can also get and watch: “Healing the Wounded Masculine: Chiron in Aries — a Holistic Approach to How We Show up in the World”. Click here for more info about this highly praised 90-minute webinar.

“This is the best presentation I have ever seen on Chiron” — Annabelle G.

Those of us with personal planets and points (ASC or MC) in 20-29 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn will feel the impact of this Retrograde phase more strongly.

Wednesday at 11:57pm EDT, Venus changes signs from versatile, chatty & curious Gemini to protective, home & family-oriented Cancer. She will journey there until August 25th.

For those 26 days, we value family, loved ones, our home, and emotional safety. We prefer to be around safe, familiar people and places. We’d rather stay home than socialize; if we do go out, we much prefer dinner parties at someone’s home to dining out.

When it comes to love, be gentle with each other — and make sure to talk about your feelings.

With regard to our finances, it’s best to stick to what feels safest and most secure. It’s a favorable time for real estate and interior design, or anything that makes the home more comfortable and livable.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you may feel more shy for the next four weeks. Your heart will want to connect to family and loved ones. If you are a Cancer Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life, for as long as Venus is in your sign.

Thursday, July 31st

Thursday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 1:25pm EDT (see Tuesday very early morning and very late evening for details).

Thursday at 1:25pm EDT, the Moon moves into deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Sunday very early morning.

This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Friday morning).

Again, this Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the first Quarter Moon (exact on Friday morning).

Thursday evening, a Sun/Mercury alignment in 9 degrees of Leo becomes exact at 7:41pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday evening on; it will remain strong until Saturday evening (Aug. 2nd).

When the Sun and Mercury come together, we are especially sharp, communicative, and open.

This aspect indicates a confident mind and an analytical approach to life. Intelligence and communication abilities are strong at this time; however, we may not listen as well as the other person speaks — we might be too busy thinking about what to say next.

Given that this alignment takes place in Leo, we may be particularly self-expressive, colorful, and heart-centered (perhaps even a little self-involved); so, do your best to avoid prideful conversations.

We want an active role in communications — it’s very hard for us to passively listen and absorb information right now. What we say or write now has an impact, so choose your words wisely…

If people hung on your every word, what would you say then? What would you hold back from saying?

Our opinions are strong and our thinking independent — and we’re proud of both — so our egos may get bruised if we don’t feel “heard”. As best as you can, express yourself fully, knowing that others may have a different opinion, and that’s ok.

Ask yourself: might it serve me to practice listening to others and myself? What might a practice like this look like? What if I acted as if I were 100% heard by others? And, what if I returned the favor?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 6-12 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Scorpio, or Taurus? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo, Gemini, or Virgo (the Sun rules Leo; Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Friday, August 1st

Friday, the Moon remains in deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Thursday afternoon for details).

Friday at 8:41am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 9.5º of Scorpio becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Scorpio (on Thursday afternoon).

The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing, intensely-feeling, private Scorpio makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in fun-loving, extroverted, attention-seeking, proud Leo. We feel compelled to take action.

Last week, on July 24th, the New Moon in Leo was exact: “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world.

This is therefore a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum.

We may feel anxious or unusually busy. As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 7-12 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus, or Aquarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Friday late morning, a challenging Venus/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 9:34am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday evening (July 29th) on; it will remain strong until Sunday night (Aug. 3rd).

This aspect challenges us to stretch and grow beyond our current understanding of ourselves — a process of maturation that requires us to adjust and remain flexible.

On the one hand, with Venus in Cancer, we feel sensitive and vulnerable, and prefer to be around safe, familiar people and places.

On the other hand, with Saturn in Aries, we feel a strong need to be honest about our goals and achievements and to learn what works and what doesn’t when it comes to our human identity and its passions.

This may involve finding practical ways to pursue and apply our passions, after determining what is realistic. Saturn reminds us that we must ensure the means align with the end.

This may require us to eliminate anything that distracts us from our passions. Achieving this alignment will require us to slow down and focus on ourselves. Do your best to make space for all these urges.

Ask yourself: Am I genuinely interested in forming lasting connections with others? What is the worst that could happen if I chose “quick” over “quality”?

We tend to be more cautious regarding relationships and finances now, and this caution may be justified, given that this is not the best time to start a romantic relationship.

Financially, this aspect can be eye-opening; if we can find creative ways to manage our finances, we will grow from it.

The key here is to approach both with a spirit that combines authenticity and maturity, rather than being attached to a particular outcome.

Pushing will most likely not get us what we want — it’s better to take it slow and steady, step by step, so we can come back later (if need be) with a stronger approach and more mature expectations.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, Libra, or 28-29 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Virgo, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Friday late afternoon, a challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 4:49pm EDT. We began to feel this aspect build from early Wednesday (July 30th); it will remain strong until early Monday (August 4th).

We can be confused, unrealistic, or overly idealistic when it comes to love and money, so it’s best to wait until the transit is over before making significant moves in these areas.

We are being asked to have faith; to let our intuition guide us in matters of money and love. If we can do this, we will grow from it.

As best you can, be compassionate with yourself and others during these five days. It may also help to know that relationships and endeavors of a spiritual or artistic nature can move forward at this time.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-5 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Capricorn, Libra or 29 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius, or Virgo? If so, you are more affected by this aspect.

This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).

Saturday, Aug. 2nd

Saturday, the Moon remains in deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Thursday afternoon for details).

Saturday very early morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 1:46am EDT.We started to feel this aspect build early Friday; it will remain strong until early Sunday morning.

We feel uneasy or awkward about something and need to make a decision. To do so, we must develop an inner awareness that helps us identify what needs adjustment.

Fears of disappointment and concerns about others are causing some tension. Our inner need for growth requires us to be honest about what is causing our fears — most likely our lack of good boundaries and self-esteem.

We might easily get pulled into overly burdensome roles in other people’s lives because we feel it is required.

Careful examination of our past, our home/family situation, and how we feel about ourselves is necessary if we are to free our ability to love, develop, and grow. This deep examination could potentially lead to deep inner healing.

That said, we need to acknowledge that this aspect has an air of intensity, and we get the sense that something very powerful is happening in our home, surroundings, family, or familiar relations.

Quincunxes can affect our health or well-being, so take extra care of yourself during those two days.

If you are experiencing a power struggle, feeling out of control, or are simply uncomfortable with the intensity, ask yourself: Could I allow myself to trust that higher power and my ability to take care of myself will see me through this?

What if I looked at my future as something calling for inclusivity and diversity rather than safety or familiarity? What might “trusting the path to my future” look like?

As best as you can, evaluate any relationships or financial dealings before getting involved; our intense energy and humanitarian spirit could feed other people’s unrealistic expectations, leaving us feeling drained and unsupported.

Empower yourself and others by thinking about what’s best for most rather than wanting what’s familiar.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-4 degrees of Cancer or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).

Saturday early morning, a somewhat challenging Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 5:25am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday evening on; it will remain strong until Sunday evening.

This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.

We might feel insecure about our daily routines: What if you could simply allow yourself to be human and know that you are doing the best you can?

We also experience an internal stress between our masculine energies (assertiveness/aggression) and our need to heal and be whole.

Once we approach things from a more holistic perspective, we will discover new ways to move forward and embrace our wounded inner child with love and compassion.

We can also learn how to improve our daily routines through observation and practical application, rather than the perfectionism that manifests as criticism, shame, and blame.

How might you connect with your inner wounded child and give it the understanding and compassion it deserves? What might “being of service” to my healing and other people’s healing process look like?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 26-28 degrees of Virgo or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars is the ruler of Aries;)

Saturday at 9:07pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 5 hours, until 2am EDT (Sunday very early morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to examine the details of your life that make up your daily routines and see if they align with your values.

Digging deeper and doing your research will be valuable, as will taking actions in areas that could improve everyone’s well-being — this could include health issues or concerns or simply looking at your nutrition and what feeds you.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday late evening through early Sunday in advance.

Also on Saturday, Mercury starts to slow down again (station) at 4-7 degrees of Leo, preparing to end its 3-week Retrograde phase.

It will come to a complete halt on August 11th — more on that next week. It will be moving much more slowly before and after the 11th and will thus be more exalted until August 17th.

For the next 15 days (until Aug. 17th), we need to be patient with ourselves and others — especially if there is a connection with communication or transportation and their associated technologies. Whenever possible, give yourself and others plenty of space.

Issues with our sense of joy and self-expression may feel more intense — we’ll see more clearly what needs our attention once Mercury is no longer retrograde, after August 11th.

This is not the best time to start anything brand-new, especially if it depends on new information that needs to be processed.

It might be a good idea to give yourself some extra time to get ready for travel somewhere — especially if you intend to use public transportation or drive (for more details on Mercury Shadow Phases and Retrogrades, click here)

Sunday, Aug. 3rd:

Sunday, the Moon remains in deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio and VoC until 2am EDT (see Thursday afternoon for details).

Two gentle reminders (Uno y Dos):

Uno ==> My EARLY BIRD SPECIAL for the upcoming Forecasting Forum about Mars’ 6-week journey through Libra ends TOMORROW! ==> Click here to take advantage of or to get more info about this 90-minute webinar

Dos ==> My beautifully outrageous SUMMER SALE ends tonight at midnight EDT! If you have been thinking about getting a reading, it’s time to act! Get your 33% discount now!

Sunday at 2am EDT, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until next Tuesday afternoon (Aug. 5th).

Sunday from 3:45am – 9:45am EDT, if we are awake during this time, we have an opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, focus on the bigger picture, or simply take a deep dive into something that gets us excited about the future. (Moon in Sagittarius sextiles Pluto in Aquarius, exact at 6:46am EDT)

Sunday from 7:55am – 11:55am EDT, we experience a need for inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice requires us to develop inner awareness around two very different urges:

On the one hand, we want to mentally explore and go beyond the known; on the other hand, we long for familiar connections and safe interactions. (Moon in Sagittarius quincunxes Venus in Cancer, exact at 9:56am EDT)

Sunday from 12pm – 8pm EDT, things flow nicely, and we feel excited about new adventures. We want to connect, explore, communicate, have fun, and share our little hearts out. (Moon in Sagittarius trines Mercury in Leo, exact at 4 pm EDT)

I would also like to mention that we are in the “Lion’s Gate Portal”. We entered it on Monday, July 28th, it peaks next Friday, August 8th (08/08), and we will be in it until August 12th. It is an alignment between the Earth, Sun, and Sirius.

I haven’t talked much about Sirius over the years, but it is the brightest star in Earth’s sky and one of the closest to us. Many ancient cultures considered Sirius our “Spiritual Sun”, seeing it as a source of higher consciousness that facilitates humanity’s evolution.

And…

A heads up for next Monday (Aug. 4th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day; until 6:15am EDT, the Moon in Sagittarius trines the Sun in Leo, exact at 2:12am EDT; from 12:45am – 4:45am EDT, the Moon quincunxes Jupiter in Cancer, exact at 2:44am EDT. More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…

One More Announcement:

Join me next week, for my FORECASTING FORUM, on Wednesday, Aug. 6th at 6:30pm EDT/3:30pm PDT/11:30pm BST (London Time), and on Thursday, July 10th at 8:30am Sydney Time.

“Fairness & Compromise”

An Exploration of Mars in Libra

What is your true desire? How do you go about getting it?
What needs to heal so you can express your anger in a balanced manner?

In this Forum, we will talk about Mars’ journey through Libra from August 6th until September 22nd, 2025. Mars rules Aries — and since we have Saturn, Neptune, and Chiron moving through Aries right now, they all answer to the Red Planet. Therefore, Mars’ transits reveal where we need to heal, work through adversity, and envision our best lives.

Facing Life on Life’s Terms

This week’s headline items: Mercury and Chiron remain exalted all week; the Balsamic Moon phase begins early Monday; Venus squares the Moon Nodes (exact on Monday evening); the Sun changes signs from Cancer to Leo late Tuesday morning; the New Moon in Leo becomes exact on Thursday afternoon. Last but not least, Mercury ends its station on Sunday (it stays retrograde until August 11th.)

There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday afternoon (for 16.5 hours), Wednesday evening (for almost 15 hours), and Saturday morning (for almost 10 hours).

Before we get to this week’s Forecast, two gentle reminders…

My beautifully outrageous SUMMER SALE starts on FRIDAY!!!!

The Star Hour! Live on SATURDAY, July 26th at 12:30pm EDT/9:30am PT/5:30pm London-time! ==> RSVP here

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, July 21st

Monday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day; it will journey there until Tuesday morning. Until then, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible.

“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead …

Monday at 4:30am EDT, the Balsamic Moon phase begins, when the Moon reaches almost 14 degrees of Gemini. This Moon phase lasts until Thursday afternoon  (July 24th) when the New Moon in Leo becomes exact.

More about this later this week… In the meantime, feel free to watch my New Moon video, here

We are being asked to slow down and get quiet to listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. Stay grounded, take a deep breath, and exhale any tension as best as you can.

Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.

This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?

Monday from 4:35am until 10:35am EDT, we can connect with others and express ourselves playfully and from the heart. What might become possible if we exchanged information with others to create more heart-openings?(Moon in Gemini sextiles Mercury in Leo, exact at 7:36am EDT)

Monday from 10:25am until 6:25pm EDT, we are invited to connect with others and share ourselves in whatever way, shape, or form feels right to us in the moment: spoken or written word, phone, email, IM, letter, etc.(Moon conjuncts Venus in Gemini, exact at 2:23pm EDT)

Monday at 3:52pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 16.5 hours, until 8:26am EDT (Tuesday morning). We can best use this intuitive time to bring a new level of focus and authenticity to who we are being in every “moment of now” — and to how we can be the best version of ourselves while connecting with others.

What if exchanging information with others placed them on the path that leads to the best version of themselves?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday afternoon until Tuesday morning ahead of time!

Also on Monday around 9:30pm EDT, Venus squares the Moon Nodes (in 19.5º of Pisces-Virgo), when she reaches 19º32′ of Gemini. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday (July 19th) on; it will remain strong until Thursday morning (July 24th).

Squares mark turning points; this one challenges us to go beyond our need for perfection to a more flexible and open-minded place.

These Squares are calling on us to take a sharp turn toward open thought and communication around the mundane — and when tuning into our “feeling-body”.

We need a perceptual shift to move forward, and this is a pivotal moment in our relationships, including the one we have with ourselves. It encourages us to balance the left and right brain, logic and creativity — in other words, to deepen the integration of mind and heart.

Ask yourself: What if I were open to seeing things from a more curious standpoint when it comes to human life and all its paradoxes? What might it look like for me and my relationship with others if the most profound perspective shift were not political or scientific but spiritual?

Since we’re working with many Mutable Signs, it’s pointless to get too distracted, overwhelmed, or scattered with our thoughts, information, interactions, opinions, etc.

The empty leg for Venus’ Square to the Moon Nodes lies in Sagittarius. We are invited to pay attention to the bigger picture and look for solutions that stem from our own direct experience and exploration of the “truth.”

The wisdom we gain from these explorations will benefit us when interacting with others or navigating media and other information sources.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-23 degrees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo, or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Libra or Taurus (Venus rules Taurus and Libra)

Tuesday, July 22nd

Tuesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini and VoC until 8:26am EDT (see Monday for details).

Tuesday at 8:26am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Thursday late morning.

Tuesday at 9:29am EDT, the Sun changes sign from protective, nurturing Cancer to fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until August 22nd.

With the Sun in Leo, we are more inclined to connect to our hearts and follow our joy: it’s a great time for gratitude, compliments, and playfulness.

In many ways, happy children embody the best of the Leo qualities: they are creative, playful, self-expressed, and follow their hearts. Who could you be if you lived from your “joyful inner child” more fully for the next four weeks?

If you have a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, this means strong vitality for you — after all, for some of you, this is your birthday month. Happy Birthday! <3

Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning, an opportune Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 1:32am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday night (July 20th) onwards; it will remain strong until early Friday morning (July 25th). We have the opportunity to discover an original or unique perspective on life.

Flexibility is the key to success at this time; pleasant changes may be in store — certainly unexpected ones…

Ask yourself: What’s unique about my thoughts? How could I express them with joy and vigor? What if that put me in more perfect alignment with my brilliant mind?

What if the Universe were speaking to me at all times? What if that pervaded my conversations with other people? What might shift if I listened 5% more closely to the people, places, and things that I come across every day?

As best as you can, watch out for messages from the Universe, no matter how they show up! Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we have to “realize” it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-3 degrees of Leo, Gemini, Aries, Libra, or 28-29 degrees of Cancer, Taurus, Pisces, or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aquarius (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius)

Wednesday, July 23rd

Wednesday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Tuesday morning for details).

Wednesday early morning, a challenging Venus/Mars aspect becomes exact at 4:23am EDT. This aspect has a long-lasting effect that began on Thursday morning (July 17th) already and will remain strong until next Tuesday (July 29th).

I mentioned this already in last week’s blog, but in case you missed it, here it is again….

This aspect asks that we stretch ourselves concerning the feminine/masculine dynamic as it manifests both “inside” and “outside”: A shift needs to occur.

This can manifest in several ways, perhaps through romantic or sexual tensions; we may tease, flirt, or play hard to get. Or we may find ourselves arguing in a very passionate way with the opposite sex.

Competitiveness, anger, frustration, or angst might be present. Either way, this can be a very passionate time.

Balancing and integrating masculine and feminine energies within ourselves would be very useful at this time.

The challenge might be that we feel pulled in two directions. On the one hand, we want mentally stimulating connections that keep us engaged and prevent boredom — and we want to move quickly when it comes to relationships and finances.

On the other hand, we want to make practical improvements to our daily routines and determine what is best for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

What might it look like if you made room for both of these energies?

Ask yourself: What might a balance between masculine and feminine energies look like for me? Where might I learn something new about myself and my body that changes my relationship to health and well-being?

When is it essential to move on something fast, and when is it better to pause and discern what’s best for my well-being?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC), or personal planets in 18-24 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Pisces, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Aries (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Mars is the ruler of Aries)

Wednesday at 8:42pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 15 hours, until 11:82am EDT (Thursday late morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to look into the details of your life that make up your daily routines, and see if they are in alignment with you…

Are your needs being met? Do your daily routines leave you feeling nurtured?

It is also an opportunity to connect to family (or friends that feel like family) and take actions around things that could improve everyone’s well-being — this could include health issues or concerns, or simply looking at our nutrition and what feeds us…

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday evening until Thursday late  morning ahead of time!

Thursday, July 24th

Thursday is a humongous day (astrologically speaking). So many planetary aspects! The Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer  and VoC until 11:28am EDT (see Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening for details).

Gentle reminder: My beautifully outrageous SUMMER SALE starts TONIGHT at 00:01am EDT! ==> Click here and take advantage of your 33% discount. Use discount code: SUMMER2025 at checkout.

**If you have already done a Whole Life Reading with me in the past, get a Follow-Up Reading or a Birthday Reading.

Thursday morning, a harmonious Sun/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 7:23am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from early Monday morning; it will remain strong until Sunday morning. Commitment and discipline are crucial to understanding our heart’s desires and the path forward.

We face life on life’s terms and feel up to doing so (especially regarding personal goals and joyful self-expression).

Ask yourself: What might become possible if I surrounded my long-term plans with 5% more passion and joyful self-expression?

We can also take a more mature approach to authenticity and playfulness by becoming the best version of ourselves. It’s now crucial to take responsibility for how we “show up” and interact with others.

How might a supportive “inner parent” help us become more authentic and self-expressed? Might a more realistic and practical approach to our personal goals help us be more joyfully and courageously ourselves? What if we took that approach to who we are (and what we identify with or as)?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-5 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, or 29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio? Or your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Capricorn (the Sun rules Leo; Saturn rules Capricorn)? If any of those are true, you can expect to be more blessed by this aspect.

Thursday at 11:28am EDT,  the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until late Saturday afternoon. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising.

We all love to be admired — or at least recognized — for our greatness. So give some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them.

Be genuine in this and everything else; in fact, be as honest and authentic as you can. This doesn’t have to be solemn or glum — fun, games, and romance are also a big part of this energy.

In the same spirit, you also might enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no “outer children” around, try reconnecting with your “inner child” — it’s easier over the next two days.

What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak just thinking of it?

This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards today’s New Moon (exact in the afternoon). Feel free to watch my video on the subject here (if you haven’t seen it yet).

Thursday afternoon, a harmonious Sun-Neptune aspect becomes exact at 1:31pm EDT. We began to feel this aspect intensify late on Monday morning; it will remain strong until Sunday evening.

This aspect can greatly help us envision what we want to create for ourselves, especially in relation to personal self-expression, fun, and playful experiences with others.

This combo supports “flow” and an intuitive connection to our creative inner child. Our intuition, imagination, and inspiration all seem to be “zeroed in”.

We go beyond “tolerance” to lovingly embrace differences in others. We give where it’s needed with open hearts and hands. All of this also feeds into any creative and spiritual endeavors that start around this time.

Ask yourself: When I tune into myself, what inspires me? What if I tune into life itself? What fun or playful experiences would I like to create? What if I just decided to open myself up fully and become authentically “me”?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following placements: 0-5 degrees of Leo, Aries, Sagittarius, or 29 degrees of Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio? If so, you will be blessed by this aspect more than others. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Thursday at 3:11pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 2 degrees of Leo — in other words, the New Moon will be exact (I recommend you also watch my New Moon video on the subject).

This begins a new Moon cycle; it invites us to tune in and seed anything we would like to manifest over the next 28 days. It’s an excellent time for all of us to set some Intentions for the next four weeks.

There are several planets of importance in this New Moon chart:

  • Mercury is exalted and retrograde in Leo, making a wide conjunction to the New Moon
  • The outer planets are making some potent aspects to this New Moon:
  1. Pluto (retrograde) is exactly opposite the New Moon
  2. Uranus makes a Sextile and is in an exalted degree until August 3rd
  3. Neptune and Saturn (both retrograde) make a Trine

Planets in Retrograde motion signal what inner growth is necessary before outer changes can occur. Therefore, we are invited to slow down, double-check our motivations, and release what is no longer in alignment with our spiritual growth.

Other than the New Moon aspects, we also have:

  • A Square between Venus and Mars
  • Mars aligning with the South Node in Virgo
  • An exalted Chiron in Aries

More about all of that in a moment; first, let’s talk about the New Moon energies:

The New Moon in Leo highlights the power of our creativity and makes our inner creative child and any physical children essential.

For the next 28 days, the New Moon in fun-loving, extroverted Leo has us looking for heartfelt experiences. We need to express ourselves, learn about love, and, in particular, learn how those things work together to help us create from the heart and a place of joy.

This New Moon in Leo opposes Pluto in Aquarius (currently in its Retrograde motion): We are invited to make empowering choices when connecting with like-minded people. Do your best to balance… to read the whole New Moon article and get access to all of the Coaching questions, click here.

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 0-4 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurusor Scorpio? Or do your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer? This New Moon may impact you more than others.

And last, but not least: the New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle; the best time for the intention-setting process is soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and not during a Moon void of course phase..

This month’s best and most potent time would be between 3:11pm on July 24th and 7:02am on July 26th. As always, all times are in EDT — the New York time zone.

If you live outside the EDT timezone and converting timezones isn’t your thing, I suggest my Facebook page or following me on TwitterThreads, Bluesky, or Instagram. I will post reminders on all of those platforms on July 24th, 25th, and 26th to let you know the best time to set your intentions.

For more info about Setting Intentions, click here.

Friday, July 25th

Friday, the Moon remains in fun-loving and attention-seeking Leo all day (see Thursday late morning for details).

Gentle reminder: TOMORROW we will have another STAR HOUR at 12:30pm EDT. Please RSVP here in advance to receive a reminder and join us on time. This is a free LIVE STREAM event.

ALSO! My beautifully outrageous SUMMER SALE started earlier TODAY! ==> Click here and take advantage of your 33% discount. Use discount code: SUMMER2025 at checkout.

**If you have already done a Whole Life Reading with me in the past, get a Follow-Up Reading or a Birthday Reading.

Friday all day is still the best and most potent time to set your New Moon Intentions. If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-) watch my New Moon video: click here.

Friday, a Sun/Pluto opposition becomes exact at 2:33am EDT. We began to feel this aspect intensify on Monday night; it will remain strong until next Monday morning (July 28th).

This opposition is all about “empowerment versus disempowerment” — on an interpersonal level, we may try to gain more control over each other.

This transit will test our self-expression and sense of collective belonging. A balance needs to be struck between creative self-expression, active and fun engagements, and global social or political issues or causes. Wherever this balance lies for you, our energy is high now, and it needs to be directed into constructive channels.

On a scale of 1 – 10, how confident do you feel? How connected are you to social causes? Is that the “correct” amount? How much joy can you bring to your favorite groups or networks?

As best as you can, trust what resonates or rings true, what empowers and connects, rather than what agitates and polarizes.

We are called to bring hidden facets of our character to the surface so we can examine and understand them and then make appropriate changes.

Ask yourself: What is my motivation for connecting with others out there in the world? How about my motivations for being playful? Where might the balance point be between active and fun engagements versus global social or political issues and causes?

How might a profound focus on whole-hearted self-expression (or authentic and blissful self-connection) serve me now? What needs to be transformed so I can feel more empowered?

We may take an all-or-nothing attitude toward others, and this could drive some tension or oppositional behaviors, so as best you can, remain flexible and practice whole-hearted self-expression — take good care of your mental state by focusing on what makes you grateful.

And as always — as best as you can — choose love rather than fear, no matter the situation.

Remember: when we get attached to an outcome, it’s usually a sign that we are not trusting the flow of life; ask yourself: What if I didn’t need to choose trust because it was already freely given?

What if it is already inside of me — I just need to get in touch with it? What if being flexible was part of it?

It will also help to remain aware of whether we empower ourselves and/or others in our interactions — for example, taking things too personally is not recommended.

Ask yourself: How might a focus on authentic and blissful self-connection feel empowering to myself and others?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-6 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus, Scorpio, or 29 degrees of Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, or Libra? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun is the ruler of Leo; Pluto rules Scorpio)

Friday from 7am – 3pm EDT, we are invited to connect with others (and with yourself) on an authentic, playful level. Could you allow yourself to connect with your inner child and express its joy in a creative way? (Moon conjuncts Mercury in Leo, exact at 10:58am EDT)

Saturday, July 26th

Saturday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 4:55pm EDT (see Thursday late morning for details).

LAST chance to join us! STAR HOUR LIVE today at 12:30pm EDT.

==> Click here to RSVP or join right away.
This is a free LIVE STREAM event via the Soulivity Live platform**

**If this is your first time joining us and you want to join the conversation from the beginning, give yourself 15-20 minutes to sign into the platform.

Saturday until 7:02am EDT is still the best and most potent time to set your New Moon Intentions. If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-) watch my New Moon video: click here.

Saturday at 7:02am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 10 hours, until 4:55pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with others from the heart. What if you let yourself enjoy others by sharing information and learning something new about each other?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday morning until late afternoon ahead of time!

Saturday at 4:55pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome.

Saturday from 1:20pm – 10:20pm EDT, we are being asked to stretch and grow — to undertake a process of adjusting our thinking. You may feel a little scatter-brained or all over the map.

As best as you can, stay flexible — and don’t be too hard on yourself (Moon in Virgo squares Uranus in Gemini, exact at 6:20pm EDT)

Sunday, July 27th:

Sunday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Saturday late afternoon for details).

Sunday from 10am – 4pm EDT, could be a good time to get organized, improve daily routines, and develop more awareness of how that all fits in both with supporting loved ones and with what we need to feel supported by others ourselves.

We can adopt a wider perspective and a more optimistic attitude towards the past, our family, and how we want to support others on a daily basis. Discernment is key — what works best? What won’t work? If you took a moment to be completely honest about what your direct experience is showing you, what might you notice? (Moon in Virgo sextiles Jupiter in Cancer, exact at 12:57pm EDT)

Also on Sunday, Mercury resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station — but moving backward through the sky, as seen from Earth (that’s what “retrograde” refers to).

Since July 8th, we may have experienced challenges related to thinking and communication, particularly regarding our self-expression and being joyful. Now, we can address and reflect on these issues internally.

Additionally, we are encouraged to examine and possibly renegotiate any contracts or agreements we made over the past three weeks that no longer align with who we are.

A Mercury Retrograde offers significant opportunities to change our minds and consequently our lives, by recognizing and releasing what no longer works for us.

In Leo, highlighting the power of love and the power of the heart. The last time Mercury was entirely retrograde in Leo was July 25th until Aug. 18th, 2018.

As best as you can, be more mindful of how you talk to yourself, your inner dialogue, your narrative, as well as how you communicate with others.

Ask yourself: When do I hide my light? Where do I need to revise the stories I tell about myself? About others? About the world? How could I become 5% more authentic, loving, and brave when expressing my truth and sharing who I am?

And…

A heads up for next Monday (July 28th): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day; in the early afternoon,  an opportune Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 12:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday evening (July 26th) on; it will remain strong until Wednesday early morning (July 30th). At 8:57pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 5 hours, until 1:43am EDT (Tuesday very early morning – July 29th). More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…

One More Announcement:

Join me for my next FORECASTING FORUM, on Wednesday, Aug.
