Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, May 5th

Monday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 3:40pm EDT. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness…

So, hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic as best you can.

Monday at 9:03am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 6.5 hours, until 3:40pm EDT. We may feel pulled in two very different directions during this intuitive time.

On the one hand, we experience a need to connect with our inner child energy (creative self-expressions and joy); on the other hand, we want to make space for pursuing our financial vision — and we also want to break free from outdated value systems.

As such, we may have to address what we value in others and ourselves (which informs our self-worth); do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late morning until late afternoon ahead of time.

Monday at 3:40pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Thursday early morning, turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome.

We are generous with our time and services and love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.

Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

Monday early afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 1:21pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday night (May 3rd/4th) on; it will remain strong until Tuesday evening (May 6th).

This aspect is an opportunity for us to expand our thinking and express ourselves with confidence and optimism — we share what’s important to us from a place of open-mindedness and excitement.

This connection also allows an expansion from stepping into uncharted territory. Humor can be a great way to tap into this energetic combo.

This planetary connection also favors short trips, writing, teaching, studying, and expanding our perspectives. We more readily exercise good judgment and are more “philosophical” and open to learning.

As with any opportunity, we have to “take” it — it requires we take action. What could you do to instill confidence in your exploration of the mind? Is a new mental process asking to be explored? Are you ready to expand your mind? Your thinking?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-24 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Leo, or Aquarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity; this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Sagittarius (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Tuesday, May 6th

Tuesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Tuesday afternoon/early evening, an opportune Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 5:31pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from late Saturday morning (May 3rd); it will remain strong until late Friday morning (May 9th).

This is an opportunity to take a courageous and independent approach to social interactions. It’s also an opportunity to notice if we’ve become obsessed with political affiliations or making our voices heard among networks of like-minded people.

Ask yourself: What if I saw the value of my impact on humanity as a collective? What if I trusted that a process is unfolding toward greater empowerment in the world?

If this was the best time to deepen certain relationships with like-minded people, who would I want to reach out to right now?

Remember: an opportunity is not automatically given to us; we must make something of it.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-6 degrees of Aries, Aquarius, Sagittarius, or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus rules Taurus and Libra; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio)

Tuesday late evening, a Mercury/Chiron alignment in 24.5 degrees of Aries becomes exact at 9:48pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build last Sunday evening (May 4th); it will remain strong until this Thursday evening. This allows us to communicate our flaws, insecurities, and sensitivities and thereby begin to heal them.

Bringing compassion to our past wounds and current sensitivities feels soothing, empowering, and healing; doing the same for others feels great. Remember: what you can do for yourself, you can do for others more easily, and vice versa.

Cut yourself a little slack as best as you can, whatever you do or don’t communicate. Be open to bringing love and understanding to your communications — especially when you are feeling triggered.

Remember: Our past wounding (and ancestral wounding) makes us more sensitive to certain things, which is why we get triggered.

Being human means being “imperfect”; there is no shame in that. Our so-called imperfections open hearts and create and spread compassion, which heals everyone’s wounding and sensitivities, including ours.

Ask yourself: Could I give myself 5% more permission to be “imperfect”? Could I acknowledge my sensitivities that stem from past wounding? Could I love myself because of those so-called imperfections and sensitivities?

Double-check: Does blaming or judging myself for being “imperfect” or “overly sensitive” serve me? How about when I do that to others? Who is served when I do this?

Could I be open to the possibility that my “imperfections” and sensitivities — whether physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual — exist to serve not only my personal evolution but also that of humanity? If that were true, what else would need re-evaluating?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 21-28 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo or Gemini (since Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Wednesday, May 7th

Wednesday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day (see Monday afternoon for details).

Wednesday from 8:30am — 4:30pm EDT, we are being asked to stretch and grow — to undertake a process of belief-adjustment. You may feel a little scatter-brained or all over the map.

As best as you can, stay flexible — and don’t be too hard on yourself (Moon in Virgo squares Jupiter in Gemini, exact at 12:30pm EDT)

Wednesday from 2pm — 6pm EDT, calls for some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges…

On the one hand, the desire to heal our relationship with the inner masculine (assertiveness/anger, leadership, taking actions) — and on the other, the need to tend to our daily work or health routines. (Moon in Virgo quincunxes Chiron in Ariesexact at 3:58pm EDT)

Wednesday from 4:30pm — 12:30am EDT, we are invited to connect with like-minded people and learn something new about our unique talents or value in the world. We can better connect to anything that requires attention to detail or needs improvement.

We might also perhaps implement revolutionary health routines or other systems in our day-to-day lives that support our values and make life more enjoyable on a physical level. (Moon in Virgo trines Uranus in Taurus, exact at 8:30pm EDT)

Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning at 12:11am EDT,  we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 3 hours, until 3:06am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to seek a balance between head and heart, facts and faith, reason and intuition.

You may also need to slow down a little and take your time to find out what helps you strike that balance.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday night until early Thursday ahead of time.

Thursday, May 8th

Thursday, the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo until 3:06am EDT (see Monday afternoon for details).

Thursday at 3:06am EDT, the Moon moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, where it will journey until late Saturday afternoon. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic.

We are more polite now, as we seek the approval of others. We want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating.

These next two days are an excellent time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No”

One last quick note: This is also an excellent time for anything involving visual arts.

Thursday from 6:50am — 2:50pm EDT, we sense harmonious connections, even though we are focused on making progress. We are invited to bring emotional authenticity to our visions for the future.

We are also invited to create deeper, more authentic connections with like-minded people. (Moon in Libra trines Pluto in Aquarius, exact at 10:48am EDT)

Thursday from 9:30am — 5:30pm EDT, we are invited to reexamine our various one-on-one relationships — ask yourself: How can I balance my need for connection and harmony with my desire for self-fulfillment and independence? (Moon in Libra opposes Venus in Aries, exact at 1:32pm EDT)

Thursday from 7:05pm — 1:05am EDT, we have an opportunity to connect with others and collaborate in a wholly authentic and self-expressed way.

It’s time to initiate some joyful connections: What collaborations are calling out to us now? How might they be bringing us joy? (Moon in Libra sextiles Mars in Leo, exact at 10:07pm EDT)

Friday, May 9th

Friday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra all day (see Thursday very early morning for details).

Friday from 4:45pm — 8:45pm EDT, we are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to connect with others, but we may also need to honor our own preferences. We are quite aware of what satisfies our five senses, and we may not be willing to compromise. (Moon in Libra quincunxes Sun in Taurus, exact at 6:43pm EDT)

Since there is not much else happening on Friday, I thought I would mention the long-term opportune Jupiter/Chiron aspect that will be exact on May 18th — that’s next week, Sunday. We started to feel this aspect build on Tuesday, May 6th; it will remain strong until May 30th.

We have already experienced this aspect twice before. It was exact for the first time on Oct. 12th, 2024, and the second occasion was on Nov. 2nd. The aspect was strongest between Sept. 15th and Nov. 28th when the planets were within 3 degrees of each other.

Think back to that time, and ask yourself: What new perspectives supported healing? Was I able to expand my thinking and bring a new understanding to an old trigger of mine?

Where did I apply an open mind and a curious attitude then?

It’s an opportunity to expand our perspectives and learn about healing our physical and sexual wounds, as well as wounds around our identity and any ancestral damages around the “masculine” energies (such as anger, violence, domination, exploitation, etc).

We also get a chance to grow and heal insecurities around thinking differently from others, or around what we believe to be true about sharing information.

This healing happens much faster when we can stay open-minded and forgive ourselves and others for being human.

Ask yourself: What if I took a curious approach toward my flaws, quirks, and insecurities? How might this support my healing process? Someone else’s? What else (or how else) could I learn more about my ability to heal? Could I allow myself and others to be human?

Might my exploration of healing my wounds from the past (or the ones handed down to me from my ancestors) support others in healing theirs?

As best as you can, bring compassion and understanding to yourself, others, and any wounding experiences.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Gemini, Aries, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Friday night/Saturday very early morning at 2:17am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 14 hours, until 3:58pm EDT (Saturday afternoon). If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it as an opportunity to connect with like-minded people.

Expand each other’s minds and collaborate in a way that allows you to see the bigger picture.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday night until Saturday afternoon ahead of time.

Saturday, May 10th

Saturday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra and VoC until 3:58pm EDT (see Thursday very early morning for details).

Saturday at 8:15am EDT, Mercury finally changes signs from enthusiastic, fast-paced Aries to steady, peaceful Taurus, where it will journey until May 25th. Due to its recent Retrograde phase in March and April, Mercury spent an extra-long time in Pisces and Aries.

For the next 2 weeks, our thinking shifts gears: we want to connect to others in a realistic, down-to-earth way, and we “say it like it is”. We appreciate common sense; we rely on our senses when processing information.

A well-developed sense of color, smell, and touch are characteristic of this Mercury position, so as long as Mercury is in Taurus, we will be drawn towards the “tasteful” in the realm of the five senses.

We are more likely to have a no-nonsense approach to decision-making, and our ideas are often very practical and helpful now.

When it comes to learning, we prefer demonstrations, concrete answers, and basic concepts for the next 2 weeks. We learn best when we see real-world uses for the theories we try to absorb.

We simply process information better when we can personalize it (“what use is it to me?”) and attach it to the practical world.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you may feel more talkative during this time. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you may need to slow down and “smell the roses”.

Saturday at 3:58pm EDT, the Moon moves into deeply passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until next Tuesday morning (May 13th). Emotional authenticity is vital to us now; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as 100% dishonest.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our power — and it does so through subtraction, urging us to let go of whatever disempowers us.

This makes it an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits, or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

The Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”, etc. It can, therefore, be stormy — a cold winter storm or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies.

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others.

Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free.

Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio — and it is currently transiting through Aquarius, making this a great time to transform our visions for humanity and our future on this planet, in this universe — and to empower ourselves and others within our communities (locally or online).

It’s also a great time to dig deeper into our various networks and connections to like-minded people, so, as best as you can, be authentic about your affiliations.

Does participation in your current groups or networks feel empowering or disempowering? Do I feel a deep emotional alignment with like-minded people in my life? Am I allowing myself to hear the deepest calling of my Soul?

Ask yourself: Where am I looking to create more empowerment in my life? What about the lives of others? How might a self-expressed and courageously heartfelt approach serve my communities and foster better collaborations?

Use this time to create deeper, more empowering emotional connections with like-minded people, especially if you are feeling a disconnect with other networks or affiliations out there in the world.

Remember: Love expands us, others, and life. Fear paralyzes!

This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the Full Moon (exact on Monday early afternoon). Feel free to watch my Full Moon video or read my article on the subject here (if you haven’t seen or read it yet).

Sunday, May 11th:

However this shows up for us, we may need to make some adjustments or find creative solutions between two needs that are seemingly at odds. As best as you can, get creative! (Moon in Scorpio squares Mars in Leoexact at 1:39pm EDT)
