On Feb. 12th at 8:53am ESTthe Moon opposes the Sun in 24 degrees of Leo — and this is when this month’s Full Moon becomes exact. We start to feel this Full Moon build when the Moon enters Leo on Feb. 10th.

As always with a Full Moon, relationships of all kinds are highlighted, and we get a chance to see where we are.

Ask yourself: How far have I come since setting Intentions back on Jan. 29th, after the New Moon became exact? What am I aware of now?

But, before we get started, I just want to mention again:

I have an exciting 90 minute event coming up on Feb. 25th at 6:30pm EST — about the Moon Nodes in Pisces-Virgo! For only $32

The webinar will show you how to:

Back to the Full Moon:

All Full Moons offer opportunities to see things in a new light and guide us away from polarization and division toward balance and integration.

The balance and integration we seek with this month’s Full Moon are connected to the Aquarius-Leo polarity. As a Member of my online community, if you’d like to learn more about this month’s Full Moon, click here to watch my video.

This Full Moon chart has a big focus on the outer and social planets:

  • The Sun aligns with Mercury in Aquarius
  • The Moon in Leo opposes not only the Sun but also Mercury in Aquarius, and it also trines Chiron in Aries
  • Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius), currently in Taurus, is the focus point of a T-square to the Full Moon polarity (as well as Mercury), and it also trines the South Node in Virgo
  • Neptune aligns with the North Node in Pisces
  • Saturn (the traditional ruler of Aquarius), currently also in Pisces, trines an exalted Mars in Cancer
  • Mars is exalted due to its Station phase, as it is preparing to end its 11-week Retrograde phase on Feb. 23rd; and, besides the Trine to Saturn, it still squares Chiron in Aries
  • Venus begins to slow down the day after the Full Moon, preparing to start her Retrograde phase on March 1st

I will go into all of this in more detail in a moment, but first, let’s talk about the Aquarius-Leo polarity:

Aquarius represents a unique vision and approach to life. The classic Aquarian vision is one of interconnected equality and belonging—paradoxically, we are also reminded that the power of unity lies in diversity. It is a contradictory sign.

On the other hand, Leo is all about our self-expression, creativity, and ability to connect to a courageous, innocent heart and inner joy. At its best, Leo signifies the quest to live from our center, our authentic core, our truth—with joy in our hearts.

As with all Full Moons, we are also invited to balance and integrate the two polarities involved — in this case, we are invited to allow head/intellect (Aquarius) and heart-expression (Leo) to merge, bringing about a brighter future for humankind — so ask yourself:

What would it look like if I allowed that merger to go through? What if I chose, right here and now, to contribute to humanity from a courageous, heart-centered, and authentic place?

To develop a healthy relationship with our individual role in the collective, we need to keep an open mind, allow everyone (ourselves included) to be their unique selves, and then bring that unique spark to the collective experience.

And of course, there’s a shadow side to be discussed — the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or easy to embrace.

Since Pluto is also in Aquarius the shadow side of Aquarius will be more visible and possibly even acted out by the collective. Aquarius’s shadow side might show up as…

Aquarius’s shadow side might show up as cold, detached, or overly intellectualized points of view — and there could be some arrogance in the mix.

Ask yourself: If I were too much in my head, what would tip me off to that? Where do I get dogmatic about concepts or visions?

Where do I conform, or at least want to fit in? Where do I hide behind social groups to feel superior to others? Has belonging to a “tribe” become more important than my personal self-expression? How have I avoided following my heart, so I can fit in?

And if by chance you have never belonged to a “tribe”, then ask yourself: What if I gave up identifying as a “black sheep”, rebel, or being so different that I can never belong?

Aquarius’s shadow side can also show up when we get overly attached to the mind and its functions, especially idealized visions, rigid thinking about the future, etc. “Headiness” kicks in and the mind’s activity goes to an all-time high.

The shadow side of Aquarius may leave us unaware how we ourselves must “be the change we wish to see in the world” — instead, we want others to be that change we want to see in the world.

The classic setup here sees us disconnecting from inner moment-to-moment joy for the sake of improving our future, “humanity”, or “the world at large” — the latter two stem from Aquarius’s association with group-consciousness and group-mind.

The shadow side of Aquarius thus expresses itself in herd mentality, where peer pressure can drive people to conform and react — often unconsciously.

Ask yourself: What if I chose, right here and now, to contribute to humanity from a courageous, heart-centered, and authentic place? What if I simply chose that, right now?

Leo’s shadow can show up as self-centeredness or narcissism — picture a child that cannot see beyond itself, is not aware of other people in the room, and cannot look past the current moment to the consequences down the line.

Ask yourself: Where in my life do I take things too personally? Have I ever created drama when I couldn’t see a way to possess what I desire? Where do I tend to be self-indulgent? What role does pride play?

The less self-connection and self-knowledge we possess, the more we depend on others for our identity.

To develop a healthy connection to our inner child, we must learn to keep an open heart and let ourselves be playful and creative. We must also learn to express our needs and desires to have open, authentic conversations with others, which requires courage and self-confidence.

So ask yourself: What if I expressed myself with 5% more courage? What might open up if I did that with my heart as my center? What might my world look like if I allowed my light to shine just 5% brighter?

Opening our hearts dissolves the dark side of Aquarius, and is the doorway into the Aquarian age, which ultimately is all about bringing power to the people & emphasizes empowerment through cooperation and connection.

Now let’s take a look at some of the aspects of this Full Moon chart:

The Moon in Leo opposes the Sun and Mercury in Aquarius and trines Chiron in Aries. Let’s unpack that…

With the Opposition to the Sun-Mercury alignment, we are invited to make clear choices around connecting with others.

Living from our center, our authentic core, our truth, with joy in our hearts, will be essential for bringing about meaningful social change that feels empowering to all.

We are asked to balance our need for heartfelt, authentic self-expression with our desire to create inspirational connections with like-minded people (and a better future for ourselves and others.)

Ask yourself: Where might the balancing point lie? How might I integrate those two polarities?

The Moon in Leo also trines Chiron in Aries. This combo creates a supportive environment for healing our insecurities. Self-acceptance around being human and presenting our authentic, imperfect Selves to the world without apologies is the best way forward.

Ask yourself: How open can I be to being courageously myself, with all my sensitivities and insecurities? Could I accept my human complexities?

As best as you can, have fun when connecting with others, bring a healing quality to the table by tapping into your inner joy, explore things on a holistic level, and take the risk of being your sensitive, unique Self!

Ask yourself: Can I seek opportunities to be compassionate toward myself and others? How about looking for opportunities that help me connect to my inner, innocent child?

Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius), currently in Taurus, squares the Sun, Mercury, and the Moon, forming a dynamic fixed T-square.

Uranus, the focal point of this T-square, is connected to two Squares, so we are experiencing some tension when it comes to our higher mind and honoring our unique Selves over the next two weeks.

However, this is also an invitation to get in touch with the physical aspect of our lives and enjoy it from a much higher frequency.

While our minds might favor an ideal state—cool, calm, detached, and rational—we also strongly desire progress and even breakthroughs in our finances and physical experiences.

We may feel stretched or stressed by a situation or interaction involving a community, network, or future-related issue. Ask yourself: Could I allow whatever is happening to stimulate new approaches?

It’s especially good to be aware of our differences and unique approaches to life. As best you can, stay flexible and open to the new and unexpectedly different.

Ask yourself: What does a unique approach look like? How could I shake things up a bit? What role does “thinking outside the box” play in all of this? What if I became 5% more aware of anything connected to my body, talents, and ability to honor myself?

What might be possible if I practiced connecting to a “higher frequency” when it comes to anything physical? Might conscious breathing support me with that? Does my body have anything it wants to tell me?

Resolution of the stresses of any T-square lies in integrating the opposite sign of the Focal planet (aka the empty leg).

In this case, we are looking at integrating the Scorpio energy. We are invited to honor our own unique approaches while respecting the deep processes and unique approaches of others.

Ask yourself: What might be possible if I embraced all of me — my light and my darkness? What is possible when I connect to people who appreciate my individualistic approaches?

How could I bring unique approaches and an innovative spirit to my intimate relationships? What about financial partnerships?

What would it look like if I shook things up in my intimate partnerships? How about in my financial partnerships? What would “The Spirit of Innovation” recommend? What would it take to experience spaciousness within my emotionally authentic and trusted connections?

Accepting each other’s differences is important right now, as we all have different values. Those values create our preferences and determine our comfort zone.

Ask yourself: Could I “hold the space” for other people’s fears and comfort levels just 5% more than I currently do? How could I take differences in values less personally? Is it at least possible that I could honor my differences without making others wrong for theirs?

Uranus trines the South Node in Virgo. It will be easier to connect to things that require attention to detail, or that support our daily routines; paradoxically, we might also implement revolutionary health routines or other systems that honor our bodies and make our lives more enjoyable.

Ask yourself: Where could I try something new, different, or unusual? What might a “breath of fresh air” bring to my daily work routines?

Where might breaking away from “normal” in my physical world take me? What might become possible in my daily and financial life if my network of like-minded people were a little bigger?

Neptune aligns with the North Node in Pisces. Neptune is the ruler of Pisces, and its alignment with the North Node has great significance. We will feel this alignment until March 30th of this year.

It asks us to pay particular attention to our connection with the divine and our intuitive knowing & connection to the Universe.

The more we connect to our compassionate heart, the more fulfilled and satisfied we will feel over the next few months. The more present we can be with ourselves, others, and our energy body, the more peaceful and calm we will feel.

Ask yourself: Could I look beyond the mind and tap into the larger energy field around me? Could I make time for silence, surrender, and self-reflection? Even if it’s just for a few minutes every day? Even if it seems impossible?

What are the consequences of mentally dissecting and over-analyzing everything? What road might lead to greater heart connections? What might open up if I became more connected to the part of me that is pure love?

Saturn (the traditional ruler of Aquarius) is also currently in Pisces, where it trines an exalted Mars in Cancer. As a result, we tend to be more emotionally motivated, heart-centered, and sensitive than usual.

Ask yourself: Where would an emotionally safe and familiar engagement most impact my trust in “Life”? What actions can I take to nourish myself and my loved ones?

How might an intuitive approach support me in taking the best and highest actions?

Mars is exalted due to its Station phase, as it is preparing to end its 11-week Retrograde phase on Feb. 23rd; and, besides the Trine to Saturn, it still squares Chiron in Aries.

We will discuss the exalted Mars energy in our next Forecasting Forum, live on Feb. 15th at 12:30pm EST! Feel free to join us!

With Mars in Cancer, we may feel protective of our loved ones, home, and feelings. We might take things personally because we feel more vulnerable and sensitive (maybe even insecure) about our connection to life and others.

We will be more aware of safety as it relates to achieving our goals. We may also get cranky or whiny if we can’t go after the things that bring us comfort (physical or emotional).

During the station, Mars’ energy will be “in our face” — we will become more aware of it, which may provoke frustration, impatience, or even outright anger.

We may also experience a tremendous desire to move faster, but we will need to wait until Mars starts moving forward again on Feb. 23rd to achieve any meaningful progress on our projects.

Ask yourself: What does readiness look like? If something was coming towards the end of the month that I needed to be ready for, what might that be?

The Square to Chiron has been affecting us for some time, and due to Mars’ station and retrograde phase, its influence will remain strong until April of this year. While Mars is exalted from February 6th to March 15th, we may experience this Square more intensely in our lives.

This combo asks us to heal and transcend triggers from our past. What triggers from childhood wounds have already shown up? Were you able to show compassion to your inner wounded child?

We may experience situations that call forth our initiative and independence — but we may not feel confident that we can rise to the challenge, let alone follow through.

As best as you can, when the challenge comes, take baby steps to move forward, and feel the excitement of stepping out of the familiar.

We may also continue to experience triggers connected to childhood wounds. Could this be an opportunity to grow and allow ourselves to notice (rather than judge) our reactions?

Ask yourself: What if I saw the part of me that got triggered as valid and deserving of my love and understanding? How might a compassionate approach support me next time around?

The Day after the Full Moon on February 13th, Venus starts to slow down, preparing for her Retrograde phase which begins on March 1st. Over the next four weeks, this will bring any relationship, self-worth, and financial issues to the forefront.

We will also cover Venus’ exalted energy and her Retrograde phase in Aries-Pisces during our next Forecasting Forum, live on Feb. 15th! Feel free to join us!

After Feb. 13th, ask yourself: What fears or concerns are showing up for me? Am I experiencing a lack of love and affection? Or feeling under-appreciated?

Could I give myself permission to just listen, observe, and take it all in? What if I kept my heart open and allowed myself to be there for myself as much as possible?

To sum it all up, with this many planets in fixed signs, we are asked to break down long-standing patterns, attachments, and identities.

Aquarius, along with its co-rulers Saturn and Uranus, deals with the idea of being a responsible and unique human, both on an individual level and as a member of the “human family.”

For the next two weeks, we are more concerned with collective mental and social energy, ideals, and innovation.

We are also encouraged to acknowledge that we are all in this together, yet each of us has the ability to effect change by tapping into our own courage, living our own vision, and being ourselves fully. This, in turn, requires that we drop more fully into our hearts and value who we have been, who we are now, and who we will become.

You may want to ask yourself this question: Might it be that I have to belong to myself before I belong anywhere else?

This Full Moon urges us to remember that we all have an essential part to play in humanity’s evolution, so ask yourself: Am I able to love and accept myself exactly as I am? And perhaps even for what I am not?

Am I living from my essence or my conditioned Self?

To better understand which one it might be, ask yourself: To what degree do I experience joy? Gratitude? Love?

Do I have the courage to stand in my authentic self-expression, no matter what happens in the collective experience or within my various communities? What is my current level of self-acceptance?

This Full Moon reveals that many inner and outer processes are occurring, and we are each navigating these processes in our own unique ways.

Let’s look into our hearts and see the strength and love that lie there. We can reclaim ourselves, remember our divinity and interdependence, and lift ourselves and our fellow humans out of the old paradigm of separation and scarcity.

Flexibility, creative thinking, and a heart-centered approach are essential!
