This week’s headline items: Mercury, Uranus, and Jupiter are all exalted (stationing) this week; Uranus’ station intensifies on Tuesday; the Sun changes signs from Leo to Virgo early Wednesday; Mercury comes to a halt to start its 3-week Retrograde phase on Wednesday afternoon; the first Quarter Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact on Thursday morning; Venus starts to station (slow down) again on Friday; Mars changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Sunday late morning.

 

There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday afternoon (for almost 3 hours), Wednesday night/Thursday very early morning (for 3 hours), and Saturday morning (for a little over 1 hour).

 

Now, this week’s Forecast…

 

Monday, August 21st:

Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 7:22pm EDT. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time as we seek the approval of others.

Monday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 2:07pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday morning on, it will remain strong until Tuesday late evening. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward, and must make a choice. We need to develop inner awareness so that we can make adjustments.

This might concern compromising with others. Our fear of being manipulated might make us stubborn, or it might make us manipulative ourselves. As best as you can, keep choosing the “better” alternative/the higher road, adjusting as needed.

We might be forced to focus, time and again, on details we would prefer to ignore. When life slows down or becomes uncomfortable, simplify and be patient. We are changing and growing in ways we can’t comprehend. Stay as open and observant as you can.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-28 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Scorpio (the Sun rules Leo, and Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).

As mentioned on Sunday already, the Sun in Leo is also the Focal Point of a YOD-aspect (aka “the Finger of God”). The Yod aspect consists of two Quincunxes, in this case, connecting the Sun with Neptune in Pisces (as mentioned on Sunday, Aug. 20th) on one side and Pluto in Capricorn on the other (as mentioned above). This aspect is at its strongest Sunday (Aug. 20th) and today (Aug. 21st).

Quincunxes are aspects that signal inner discomfort and the need for some adjustments. Both Quincunxes point towards the Sun in Leo — again, making the Sun the Focus of this aspect.

This means the adjustments in question must be made so we can be ourselves authentically, from the heart, even if it feels uncomfortable.

Ask yourself: What do I need to express that is dear to my heart — even when fear is present? Even when it feels uncomfortable to do so?

How can I be “courageously me” without dominating others? Could I permit myself to get in touch with my inner child — and joyfully be myself when appropriate?

Could I refrain from getting attached to things going “my way”? What if “pride” was able to take a back seat? What if I focused on gratitude, giving compliments, connecting to my inner joy, and being playful instead?

Monday before 4:31pm and after 7:22pm EDT, it is time to start taking action on our New Moon Intentions; if you set Intentions last week Wednesday evening, Thursday, or Friday early morning — after the New Moon became exact — today (Monday) will be the best time to take relevant actions.

If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?

Monday at 4:31pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 3 hours until 7:22pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others and collaborate in a completely authentic and self-expressed way. It’s time to create some joyful connections: What collaborations are calling out to you at this time? How might they bring you joy?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late afternoon until the evening ahead of time. 

Monday at 7:22pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities”

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs through subtraction — it encourages us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits, or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, and “love me or leave me”. It can therefore be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies…

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so as best you can, be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.

Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.

Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio — and it is currently transiting through Capricorn, making this a great time to transform our relationship to authority (inner and outer). It’s also an optimal time to dig deeper into any unfinished processes in connection with our Soul Purpose.

We are invited to transform what doesn’t feel emotionally authentic and make deeper alliances with people, places, or things that bring us closer to an empowered experience — one where we can feel passionate about what we are building out there in the world.

Ask yourself: What has been my biggest “SHOULD” since Pluto entered Capricorn in 2008? Am I ready to make choices that are not based on “shoulds”? What would that look like?

What would I like to build out there in the world and leave behind as a legacy? What feels emotionally authentic and empowering to me? To others? To society? What is realistic? What will time do?

Use this time to create deeper, more empowering emotional connections to your long-term goals, especially if you are feeling a disconnect with the current ones. Remember: Love expands us, others, and life. Fear paralyzes!
