On August 19th at 2:26pm EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact in 27 degrees of Aquarius. The Moon’s entry into Aquarius on Aug. 17th initiates the energetic build-up towards this Full Moon.
This is the first out of four SuperMoons in a row where the Moon is closer to the Earth, increasing its tidal and electromagnetic effects.
Oppositions always reflect back to the planets’ conjunction; we examine the progress made since that conjunction. For example, during a Full Moon, we look back to the previous New Moon (in this instance, Aug. 4th) to assess what has evolved since then

Here are the astrological highlights of this Full Moon chart:
- There are two T-squares in this Full Moon chart, and both rulers of the Full Moon (Uranus and Saturn) are involved!
- One of the T-squares involves the Full Moon polarity (Aquarius-Leo) with Uranus in Taurus as the Focal Point
- The other T-square involves Saturn in Pisces, Venus in Virgo, and the Jupiter-Mars alignment in Gemini as the Focal Point
- The Moon in Aquarius not only opposes the Sun in Leo but also a Retrograde Mercury
- The Moon also trines the Jupiter-Mars alignment in Gemini
- The Sun in Leo trines Chiron in Aries
- Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius) is exalted at the time of the Full Moon – as it prepares for its yearly Retrograde phase that begins on Sept. 1st
- An exalted Uranus in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces and trines Pluto in Aquarius
But first, let’s talk about the Full Moon polarity: the Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius opposes the Sun & Mercury in fun-loving, expressive Leo.
This opposition highlights the power of our creativity as individuals and the exponential potency of collaboration. It invites us to reclaim ourselves and add our voice, heart, and hands to something meaningful.
Since Mercury is currently in retrograde motion, we may need to look back before we can move forward.
Mercury started its 3.5-week Retrograde on Aug. 5th (soon after the last New Moon in Leo). So rather than sharing something new, we may want to revisit what we created or discussed from July 17th to 21st, when Mercury moved through its pre-Shadow phase in Leo.
The invitation with this opposition is to dare to be different and to remember how we are all part of a larger whole. The highest quest of Leo leads to authentic Self-expression: to embody our gifts, shine our light, and live our truth.
The highest task of Aquarius, on the other hand, is the attainment of unity in diversity, where everyone’s uniqueness is honored and included.
When we align our heads with our hearts, we feel our interconnectedness with all of humanity and create and connect from love instead of fear.
Given that Leo represents our self-expression and Aquarius our vision for humankind, a question arises: How can we best balance these two energies? Or even integrate them?
We’ll seek answers to this question for the next two weeks, as we might become more aware that something is out of alignment.
All Full Moons have a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or embrace
As always, with shadow aspects of ourselves, we need to beware of…

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, Aug. 19th:
Monday is a huge day (astrologically speaking). The Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius until 6:52pm EDT. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement.
Reactions are more intellectual than emotional, and interactions are more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.
Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas, innovative methods, and progress are promoted while the Moon moves through Aquarius.
Again, we have our eyes on the future — or outer space — and personal freedom becomes paramount.
Monday early morning, a Venus/Saturn opposition becomes exact at 4:30am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday evening (Aug. 16th) on; it will remain strong until Wednesday evening (Aug. 21st).
This might be a time of relationship tests or trials: we may not be attracting the things and people that we want in our lives — at least, not as easily as we were before this transit.
This can be eye-opening — a signal to work on improving the “ways” (as well as the “things”) that we bring to partnerships or to our finances. Doubts could be raised now.
We may feel isolated and definitely more introverted. But what’s really required is that we slow things down and be as realistic as we can possibly be.
We could be withdrawing or holding back a little as we attempt to figure out what we want and need.
We are working towards ridding ourselves of self-delusion when it comes to partnerships, socializing, and finances. In the process, we might feel disdain for inauthentic interactions and resent “going through the motions” on a social and/or mental level.
Our goal here is to make more connections aligned with our own spiritual truth. Relationships built on weak foundations may not survive, but stronger ones can be improved and strengthened.
Financial matters might be stressful for the time being; this forces us into a position of conservation and moderation. As best as you can, find your inner balance with this — and on an external level with others.
Ask yourself: What is asking to be improved? Where do I need to focus? How might being present and patient support me and others? If doubts arise, could I refrain from overthinking things and stay connected to my intuition and heart energies?
Think back to March 22nd of this year, when Venus was conjunct Saturn in Pisces. With Venus opposing Saturn now, we can start to see the fruits of the seeds that were planted back then. So, What were the seeds then? What are the fruits now?
In other words, What has emerged since March regarding who and what you value? We are also now more aware of what we have (and haven’t) learned since then… Do you like what you see? Is there room for more learning and integration? Did the commitments you made then feel both attainable and practical?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-21 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Capricorn (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).
Monday early afternoon, a challenging Sun/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 12:45pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday morning (Aug. 16th) on; it will remain strong until Thursday (Aug. 21st).
Routines and plans — especially those connected with creative endeavors, children, romance, parties, or sporting events — are quite likely to experience disruption, calling for flexibility and creative solutions.
During this transit, we feel a great need to make progress, as we feel quite restless — maybe even anxious — but if we’re unclear on what is in our best interest, we might focus on things that don’t serve us in the long run.
As best as you can, go with the flow and stay open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected; if you can, put off making major decisions for the time being… “haste makes waste” during this aspect.
You can think of this as “reorganizing” time — like rearranging your furniture — try not to resist the reorganization. Enjoy the ride… and remember: it only feels uncomfortable because it’s new and different. Could you allow yourself to be comfortable with being uncomfortable?
Ask yourself: What might a reorganization of my finances or talents look like? Could I allow myself to hang out with the discomfort that might come up as things shift and progress? Could I be open to experiencing something new and wonderfully unexpected?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, or Aquarius? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aquarius (the Sun rules Leo; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Monday afternoon at 2:26pm EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact in 27 degrees of Aquarius. The Moon’s entry into Aquarius on Aug. 17th initiates the energetic build-up towards this Full Moon.
Oppositions always reflect back to the planets’ conjunction; we examine the progress made since that conjunction. For example, during a Full Moon, we look back to the previous New Moon (in this instance, Aug. 4th) to assess what has evolved since then.

All Full Moons have a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or embrace
As always, with shadow aspects of ourselves, we need to beware of getting triggered and jumping to conclusions; we need to take time to respond rather than react.
Let’s start with Leo’s shadow side:
Leo’s shadow can show up as self-centeredness or narcissism — picture a child that cannot see beyond itself, is not aware of other people in the room, and cannot look past the current moment to the consequences down the line.
Let’s look at Aquarius’s shadow side: this can show up when we get overly attached to the mind and its functions, especially idealized visions, rigid thinking about the future, etc. “Headiness” kicks in, and the mind’s activity reaches an all-time high.
The shadow side of Aquarius may hold lofty ideals but leave us clueless as to how to “be the change we wish to see in the world” — instead, we want others to be that change.
It’s essential to be especially aware and responsible when connecting with others, so as best as you can, get present and ask yourself: What am I bringing forth? What are my intentions?
Now let’s take a look at some of the aspects of this Full Moon chart… to read the whole Full Moon article and get all of its Coaching questions, please click here.
Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer).
At the same time the Full Moon becomes exact at 2:26pm EDT, we also enter a 4.5-hour Moon VoC that lasts until 6:52pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make clear choices when it comes to engaging with like-minded people.
Do your best to find a balance between your need for a cause that changes the future for some (or many) versus being aware of your own heartfelt, joyful self-expression and courageousness.
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday afternoon until the evening ahead of time.
Monday early evening, a long-term, challenging Jupiter/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 5:46pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Aug. 6th on; it will remain strong until Sept. 3rd.
Any Square invites us to surpass our previous limitations; Jupiter and Saturn, as social planets, are usually linked to our social and economic contracts, agreements, and dynamics.
With Jupiter in Gemini, we have a tendency to think big and maybe feel a bit scatterbrained or at least have a restless mind. We see lots of opportunities and want to move on them fast. Patience is probably not at the top of our list. However, optimism is quite strong.
With Saturn in Pisces, we are invited to move toward spiritual self-sovereignty by going within and practicing spiritual maturity.
We are asked to reassess our interconnectivity with all of life, our use of spiritual practices, and our ability to be present in the here and now — or lack thereof.
Saturn will be in a Square to Jupiter three times over the next ten months. This first one, being part of a T-Square and on the same day as the Full Moon, might kick up some dust or frustration.
This Square might ask us to transcend our self-imposed limitations or urge us to stay more connected to our inner guidance, not allowing the mind to take over to the extent that we are no longer centered in our own spiritual core or able to be present and experience peace.
Impatience and unrealistic expectations might lie behind our frustrations.
And, of course, when it comes to Saturn, we are always invited to slow things down enough so we don’t misstep or go overboard.
Some restructuring of our lives and business goals might be in order. We may be looking for new challenges — sometimes because we are forced to look, as things are not going exactly to plan.
We have a desire to grow and expand, but this attitude is tempered with caution and a sense of restriction. Take steps to grow, but don’t overextend, or you’re bound to grow frustrated.
This aspect also reveals where our beliefs may be out of sync with reality. What was true before may not be now — and perhaps never was — and conversely, the impossible may now be feasible.
As best as you can, take a look at what’s holding you back: Are there “old” fears or beliefs that are no longer keeping you on your intended course? Imagine for a moment that you wake up tomorrow morning, and fear has mysteriously vanished… What would be possible?
Every Square and Opposition prompts us to look back to the beginning of the cycle between the two planets involved. The most recent alignment of Jupiter and Saturn was in December 2020, at 0º of Aquarius.
Think back to that time and ask yourself: What commitments did I make? Where was my focus? What seeds were planted in late 2021 or early 2022? What shift am I now asked to navigate?
Where do I need to change my mind about my approach? To what degree do I engage my head — and to what degree do I engage my heart? Am I ready to listen more carefully? Could I go beyond my conditioned mind?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-21 degrees of Gemini, Pisces, Sagittarius, or Virgo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect; this is also true for those of us with the Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius or Capricorn (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn)
Monday evening at 6:52pm EDT, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Wednesday evening. This Moon placement often finds us more than usually sensitive, intuitive, idealistic, and imaginative.
We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy, and affection for all, especially those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.
But that idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities.
A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.
It’s also an excellent time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”.
Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.
Neptune is the ruler of Pisces — and it is currently in its own sign. This is making these next two days a great time to take a look at our inner spiritual connection to our “higher Self”, “Source”, or “God/Goddess”.
It’s also a great time to allow all there is as it is and to go with the flow, following our intuitive voice as much as possible. We are being asked to tap into the “feminine” energies within ourselves so we can start to vibrate on a universal frequency.
Ask yourself: Is my “Higher Self” asking for more introverted/inner love time? If I tune in with my intuitive voice, what am I receiving? Sensing?
Where in my life have I become too disconnected from life? Love? God/Goddess? What is my connection to the spiritual realm? What about the “heart realm”? How could nature and animals teach me about those realms?
Do I need more downtime? More resting time? More compassion? How might being kind to myself and trusting the process of Life create a more loving connection with the universe?

The Acceptance of Our Human Complexities
This week’s headline items: the first Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact late on Monday morning; Mercury’s Station phase finally ends on Tuesday (though it is still in retrograde); Mercury re-enters Leo on Wednesday evening and aligns with the Sun in Leo late Sunday evening. Lastly, Saturday evening starts the build up towards the Full Moon in Aquarius.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Tuesday early morning, Thursday early afternoon, and Saturday late afternoon, all of them roughly an hour long.

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, Aug. 12th:
Monday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day. It will journey there until Tuesday early morning. Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest.
Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. It does so through subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us.
This makes it an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits, or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Monday late morning, the first Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact at 11:19am EDT. The Moon in passionate, all-or-nothing, intensely-feeling, private Scorpio makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in fun-loving, extroverted, attention-seeking, proud Leo. We feel compelled to take action.
Last week on Aug. 4th, the New Moon in Leo was exact: “Seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world.
This is, therefore, a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum. We may feel anxious or unusually busy.
As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-23 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Taurus, or Aquarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Monday late afternoon/early evening, we are invited to make some inner adjustments: we feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice — a choice that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges. On the one hand, we have the urge to go deeper and connect with others; on the other hand, we are more aware of triggers and limitations connected to old childhood wounds.
As best as you can, be compassionate and understanding with yourself when feelings of anger come up (and even if shame follows expressions of that anger). Ask yourself: How might 5% more compassion support my relationship with myself and others today?(Moon in Scorpio quincunxes Chiron in Aries, exact at 5:12pm EDT)

Learning About Your Beliefs & Life Perspectives
This week’s headline items: Mercury remains exalted all week and starts its 3-week Retrograde phase very early Monday. We still have some windows for writing down our New Moon intentions: Monday morning, Monday evening, and Tuesday early morning. Finally, Chiron ends its Station phase on Friday, now in retrograde.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday late morning (for 6 hours), Thursday early morning (51 minutes), and Friday early evening (almost 25 hours).

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, August 5th:
Monday is quite the day (astrologically speaking). The Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 5:17pm EDT. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness…
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them and how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic as best you can.
This Moon placement is also connected to this month’s New Moon (which was exact on Sunday morning, Aug. 4th). Feel free to watch my video on the subject here (if you haven’t seen it yet).
Monday very early morning at 12:56am EDT, Mercury comes to a halt at 4º of Virgo to start its second full Retrograde phase of the year, slowing things down tremendously until Aug. 8th!
With Mercury being Retrograde, its energy feels stronger inside of us, helping us recognize what is out of alignment and pointing to how we can begin realigning ourselves with the outside world, starting from within.
We can ask ourselves: Where do I need to take care of my work routines? Where does that path seem to be heading? How is my health and well-being? How does all this relate to my daily routines? What needs to be reorganized? Reconsidered?
Feel free to read more about this Mercury Retrograde phase in Sunday’s forecast post (Aug. 4th) here.
Monday before 11:16am and after 5:17pm EDT is still the best and most potent time to set your New Moon Intentions! If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — and to (re-) watch my New Moon video, click here
Monday morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:18am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday morning (Aug. 4th) on; it will remain strong until Tuesday early morning (Aug. 6th).
We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
Fear of disappointment and of others is causing some tension. Our inner need for growth requires us to be honest about what is causing our fears — most likely our lack of good boundaries and self-esteem.
We might easily get pulled into overly burdensome roles in other people’s lives because we feel it is required.
Careful examination of our health, well-being, and general daily health and work routines is necessary if we are to free our ability to love, develop, and grow. This deep examination could potentially lead to deep inner healing.
That said, we need to acknowledge that this aspect has an air of intensity, and we get the sense that something very powerful is happening in our daily routines.
Quincunxes can affect our health or well-being, so take extra care of yourself during those two days.
If you are experiencing a power struggle, feeling out of control, or are simply uncomfortable with the intensity, ask yourself: Could I trust that higher power and my ability to discern what’s healthy for me will see me through this?
What if my future called for inclusivity and diversity rather than separation or perfectionism? What might “trusting the path to my future” look like?
As best as you can, evaluate any relationships or financial dealings before getting involved; our intense energy and humanitarian spirit could feed other people’s unrealistic expectations, leaving us feeling unwell and separate.
Empower yourself and others by focusing on “best for most” rather than striving for “perfect”.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-1 degrees of Virgo or Aquarius or 29 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Monday at 11:16am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 6 hours until 5:17pm EDT. We may feel pulled in two quite different directions during this intuitive time…
On the one hand, we experience a need to connect with our inner child energy (creative self-expressions and joy); on the other hand, we want to make space for pursuing our financial vision — and we also want to break free from outdated value systems.
As such, we may have to address what we value, both in others and in ourselves (which informs our self-worth); do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late morning until the early evening ahead of time.
Monday at 5:17pm EDT, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Thursday early morning (Aug. 8th), turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome.
We are generous with our time/services, and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.

See Beauty Rather Than Fault
This week’s headline items: Chiron and Mercury remain exalted all week, and Mercury’s Station intensifies on Monday; the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Wednesday late morning — bringing us closer to the next New Moon in Leo, which will be exact on Sunday morning; Venus changes signs from Leo to Virgo late Sunday evening; Mercury starts its second Retrograde phase of the year on Sunday night.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday late afternoon (for 29 minutes), Wednesday late evening (for 33 minutes), and Saturday morning (for 39 minutes).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, if you missed…
Our Soulivity Today Morning Show: “Hot Astrology Friday” last week, not to worry, you can still watch the replay, here.
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 29th:
Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:28pm EDT. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.
In other words, change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.
Monday at 4:59pm EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last for 29 minutes, until 5:28pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to meet your need for material comfort with a gentler, more intuitive approach. Inner and outer beauty is key!
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late afternoon/early evening ahead of time.
Monday at 5:28pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening (July 31st). For the next two days, we like to learn, connect, and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…
The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead…
Also on Monday, Mercury’s Station intensifies at 2-4 degrees of Virgo, as Mercury is preparing to come to a halt on Sunday night (beginning its 3-week Retrograde phase).
We feel Mercury’s energies even more strongly during this intensified Station phase. It will remain at its most intensified until Aug. 9th. Going with the flow is definitely recommended at this time.
Pay attention to anything “in your face” in any of the following areas: health and well-being, your daily work routines, communications, short journeys, transportation of any kind, communication devices, processing information, learning, writing, teaching, or sharing. You will get a chance to re-organize yourself once Mercury goes retrograde.
Be extra patient if you intend to buy, sell, or ship big-ticket items, especially if they are transportation or communication devices like anything connected to planes, trains, cars, phones, computers, iPads, etc. Best of all (if possible): wait until after Sept. 11th, when the post-Shadow phase is over.
Here are some questions you could ask yourself during the Mercury Station phase: Do I experience any discomfort around my health and well-being? Am I debating whether or not my daily work routines are working for me?
Could I allow myself to be more mindful and observe what works for me (and what doesn’t)? Where could I be of more service to others? What if I approached things with 5% more humility?

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 0-6 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius.

Add a Dash of Love, Gratitude & Joy
This week’s headline items: Chiron remains exalted all week; Mercury remains in its pre-Shadow phase all week (and changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Thursday evening); Chiron comes to a halt late on Friday morning, starting its 5-month retrograde phase; the last Quarter Moon in Taurus becomes exact late on Saturday evening; also on Saturday, Mercury starts its Station phase, preparing for its 3-week Retrograde phase.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Tuesday early morning (for almost 3.5 hours), Thursday late morning (for 21 minutes), and Friday evening (for a little over 19 hours).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a gentle reminder…
We have another Soulivity Today Morning Show: “Hot Astrology Friday” this week!
It will be live on Friday, July 26th, at 8am EDT via YouTube or Soulivity.com. OR 8am PT in California via KMET Radio.
Brian and I will talk about the upcoming Mercury Retrograde phase in Virgo/Leo ==> join us live or watch the replay if you want to hear more about that….
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 22nd:
Monday, the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day; it will journey there until Tuesday late morning.
Monday early morning at 3:44am EDT, the Sun changes sign from protective, nurturing Cancer to fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Aug. 22nd. With the Sun in Leo, we are more inclined to connect to our hearts and follow our joy: it’s a great time for gratitude, compliments, and playfulness.
In many ways, happy children embody the best of the Leo qualities: they are creative, playful, self-expressed, and follow their hearts. Who could you be if you lived from your “inner child” more fully for the next four weeks?
If you have a Leo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, this means strong vitality for you — after all, for some of you, this is your birthday month. Happy Birthday! <3
Monday early morning, we are invited to have fun and to connect with like-minded people. Do your best to find a balance between your need for a cause that changes the future for some (or many), and your desire to connect from the heart and joyfully express yourself with others.
What needs your appreciation when it comes to relating, connecting with others, and honoring yourself? (Moon in Aquarius opposes Venus in Leo, exact at 5:39am EDT)
Monday late evening presents an opportunity to connect with others and engage in a healing process that can bring us progress (Moon in Aquarius sextiles Chiron in Aries, exact at 10:44pm EDT)

Think Different, Act Different
This week’s headline items: Chiron remains exalted (stations) all week; Neptune ends its Station phase on Tuesday; Mercury enters its pre-shadow phase very early Wednesday; Chiron’s station intensifies on Saturday; Mars changes signs from Taurus to Gemini late Saturday afternoon; the second Full Moon in Capricorn within a 30-day period becomes exact early Sunday.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Tuesday late evening (for 15 minutes), Friday early morning (16 minutes), and Sunday morning (17 minutes)
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a gentle reminder…
Join us on Friday, July 19th, at 1pm EDT/6pm London time for my next Forecasting Forum! The Early Bird Special ends on Wednesday at midnight EDT!
Please note that we’ll take a look at Mercury’s & Chiron’s Station phases, which start July 14th & 27th (and last until Aug. 9th & 13th). We will also talk about Mercury’s Shadow phases and its second Retrograde phase of the year in Leo/Virgo.
So, if you want to know how these planetary shifts will impact you personally, join me live on July 19th or sign up to receive the mp4-video presentation.
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, July 15th:
Monday, the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day; it will journey there until Tuesday late evening. Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest.
Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever — as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. It does so through subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. This makes it an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits, or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
The Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”, etc. It can, therefore, be stormy — a cold winter storm or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies.
Monday early morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 4:57am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday morning (July 14th) on; it will remain strong until Tuesday morning (July 16th). This will contribute either to a lack of mental energy or a need to focus more inwardly.
This aspect operates more internally: We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward, and we must make a choice.
The sheer scope of our goals in life can require more effort than is immediately apparent. Hard work can take its toll on our mental health. If we partition our big ideas into achievable segments — and go one clear action step at a time — we can move forward while maintaining inner peace and outer health.
Use your time wisely! Develop inner awareness to see what needs adjusting.
Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to rank things in order? Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to be in control? Wanting to know what’s next? Might slowing down and turning inward give you the solution that you are looking for?
Might it be possible that showing gratitude towards others and opening your heart might lead to less stress or pressure?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 18-20 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Virgo and Gemini; Saturn rules Capricorn).
Monday morning, a challenging Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 7:44am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Friday morning (July 12th) on; it will remain strong until Thursday late morning (July 18th). This asks us to stretch ourselves and expand from within.
We might feel less confident about who we are and have a hard time projecting a social “front”. Our conditioning and wounded sense of Self may be out of harmony with each other.
As best as you can, take this as an opportunity to make space for feeling vulnerable or emotional without seeing yourself as weak or “less than”. It is perfectly ok to be yourself and feel insecure once in a while; as best as you can, bring compassion and love to yourself and others. After all, we are all human…
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC), or personal planets in 20-27 degrees of Cancer, Aries, Libra, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel the effects of this aspect more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo (the Sun rules Leo).
Monday late morning, a Mars/Uranus alignment in 26º of Taurus becomes exact at 10:05am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last Thursday early morning (July 11th) on; it will remain strong until Saturday early morning (July 20th).
This connection brings a lot of nervous energy with it: we will most likely feel sudden spurts of energy moving through our bodies; this could make us rash in thought and deed. We may experience sudden insights about ourselves and our valued goals.
Ask yourself: Might a deep breath into my belly calm my nervous system? What might it look like to consciously break away from situations that have limited me when it came to honoring myself and my talents? Where could I channel my courage?
Where do I need to “think different”? Act different?
Our willingness to innovate is strong with this alignment: new ways of seeing, using, and approaching our personal possessions, valuables, money, and talents are in focus.
It takes courage to try something new and different. Ask yourself: What is the next step on my journey toward becoming an ever-stronger, healthy individual, one who honors and loves themselves and has the courage to have different values from others?
This alignment between Uranus and Mars also asks us to break away from anything keeping us from honoring our uniqueness and quirks — whatever keeps us in a rut, collectively and individually.
Please be extra conscious when driving. Do your best to channel the extra energy in a productive way: physical exercise is great for this, as is consciously breaking away from situations that have limited you — up until now.
And (this is always wise)… As best as you can, stay grounded and keep breathing …
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, or Aquarius? If so, you will be more affected by this alignment. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius)

by Sonja Francis | Jul 12, 2024 | Astrological Forecasts, Astrology Articles, Full Moon, Pluto, Saturn
On July 21st, at 6:17am EDT, the Moon opposes the Sun at 29 degrees of Capricorn. An exalted degree! Not only is it in the last degree of the sign, it will also be the second of two Full Moons in this particular polarity! The first one was on June 21st at 1º of Capricorn-Cancer.
The entrance of the Moon into Capricorn on July 19th, starts the energetic build-up towards this Full Moon.
==> If you are already a Member of my online community and would like to learn more, click here to watch my Full Moon video
==> If not, don’t worry: right now, you can get the first month of the Universal Membership for FREE (cancel anytime via your Membership portal).
All Full Moons bring greater awareness to our current situation — what’s working and what we need to change. This Full Moon in Capricorn–Cancer asks us to pay special attention to how well we are balancing the demands of our outer and inner lives.
Lots of planets are involved in this Full Moon chart:
- The Moon in the last degree of Capricorn aligns with Pluto in an early degree of Aquarius
- The Moon sextiles Neptune in Pisces (exact), and so, of course, the Sun in Cancer, which is exactly opposite the Moon, makes a Trine to Neptune
- The Moon also trines Uranus in Taurus
- The Moon as well as Pluto trine Mars in a very early degree of Gemini
- Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, currently retrograde in Pisces, doesn’t make a lot of strong aspects in this Full Moon chart, but it is still within 10 degrees of Neptune and is starting from a Square with Jupiter in Gemini (which we will talk about in more detail in the next New Moon video)
- Some other aspects worth mentioning are: Mercury’s Square to Uranus (exact), and its Trine to an exalted Chiron in Aries
- Lastly, Venus in Leo sextiles Jupiter (almost exact) and trines the North Node in Aries
Again, this is the second of two Full Moons in Capricorn within 30 days.
This doesn’t happen too often; the last time we had two consecutive Full Moons in the same sign was in March/April 2019, in Libra-Aries — the last time it happened in the sign of Capricorn-Cancer was 19 years ago, in June/July 2005
Ask yourself: What was important in my life during the summer of 2005? Where am I ready for a major upgrade now?
Having two consecutive Moons in the same sign is particularly interesting because of the degree in which they become exact — it is usually an exalted degree.
With the current Full Moon becoming exact in 29 degrees of Capricorn, we are getting a chance to complete something, most likely something that started with the first Full Moon in 1º of Capricorn on June 21st.
This will most likely be connected to long-term goals, social status, or worldly achievements, but it might also be connected to our energetic understanding of life and our spiritual sovereignty — since Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, is currently moving through Pisces.
This is an exalted degree because it is the last degree of the sign and, thus, the last chance for any transiting celestial body to express itself fully before changing signs.
With any Full Moon, we see things we have not been aware of before, and we get a chance to make changes if we don’t like what we see.
Ask yourself: What’s happened to me since June 21st regarding long-term goals? What needs another look? What needs to change? What is asking for completion?
Since we discussed the Capricorn-Cancer polarity at length in the first Capricorn Full Moon video, feel free to watch that or you can also read the Capricorn Full Moon article from June — but for this article let’s focus on the aspects connected to this month’s Full Moon chart, starting with the Moon:
The Moon in the last degree of Capricorn aligns with Pluto in a very early degree of Aquarius. This invites us to…
