Allow a Sense of Flow — Forecast for Sept. 7th – 13th
This week’s headline items: Mars comes to a halt on Wednesday early evening, starting its 2.5 month Retrograde phase. The last Quarter Moon in Gemini becomes exact, Thursday early morning; Jupiter comes to a halt and ends its 4-month retrograde phase on Saturday evening; Pluto begins its Station phase on Saturday (getting ready to end its 5-month Retrograde phase); the Balsamic Moon phase begins on Sunday late evening.
There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday morning (for a little over 8.5 hours), Thursday night/Friday very early morning (for a little over 3.5 hours), and Sunday morning (for almost 3.5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I’d like to mention:
Since Mars and Jupiter are both coming to a halt this week (prior to changing directions), you may be interested in the “Mars Retrograde in Aries, Sept-Nov. 2020” webinar, in which we covered the Mars & Jupiter Station phases as well as Mars’s Retrograde phase, in relationship to our own birth charts – if you haven’t seen it yet:

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, Sept. 7th:
Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late afternoon. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well. In other words: change is not our favorite thing and “rushing things” goes against our grain.
What is our favorite thing for the next few days? It’s probably, slowing down and getting in touch with whatever.
Monday very early morning, if possible, connect with people that can support your projects on a practical level, and share with them what you have going on.
Monday early afternoon, provides the perfect opportunity to get lots of practical issues handled without needing to stress or push. Make sure to enjoy a good meal or a nice beverage during the next four hours 😉
Monday late afternoon, it is best to slow down a little and explore what’s sitting right in front of us that needs to be taken care of, so we can gain a new perspective around our goals and accomplishments; expanding too fast will backfire right now.
Monday evening, we have an opportunity to meet our need for material comfort with a…

Monday evening, we have an opportunity to meet our need for material comfort with a gentler, more intuitive approach. Inner and outer beauty is key!
Tuesday, Sept. 8th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:28pm EDT (see Monday morning for details).
Tuesday at 8:47am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 8.5 hours until 5:28pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to slow down a little and focus on what’s sitting right in front of you that needs to be taken care of, so you can get to the next phase of accomplishment. Rushing will backfire right now.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Tuesday morning until the late afternoon/early evening ahead of time.
Tuesday at 5:28pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Friday early morning. For the next 2.5 days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…
The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead 🙂 This Moon placement also starts the build up toward the last Quarter Moon (exact Thursday early morning).
Wednesday, Sept. 9th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Tuesday late afternoon for details).
Wednesday early afternoon, a harmonious Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 12:04pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week Sunday evening (Sept. 6th) on; it will be strong until this Saturday evening. It’s an opportunity to see things from a different perspective. What will lead us to this new vantage point?
Optimism, an open mind, an open heart: Follow your enthusiasm as if it were a wilderness guide — and as best as you can, let yourself be creative and free.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 14-21 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn or Taurus? If so, you will be more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Wednesday early evening, at 6:22pm EDT, Mars comes to a halt at 28 degrees of Aries, starting its 2.5 months Retrograde phase. We’re called to reassess our personal goals and passions — especially issues around anger, about the nature of “doing” and “pursuing” (the masculine energies within us).
This is also a call to look at what we’ve been doing since late July — we may need to redo or realign anything that’s out of whack with our sense of self or our identity. This retrograde phase will last until mid-November — Mars will come to a halt again on Nov. 13th, at 15 degrees of Aries.
Until then, we are definitely being invited to go within and tap into our inner assertiveness and strength, to ready us for the next phase of our lives. In other words, this is prep time, so rather than start anything brand-new, reheat what you already have cooking, or investigate future projects.
Ask yourself: What would readiness look like? If there was something coming at the end of the year, that I needed to be ready for, what might that be?
Want to know how to apply this to your own life? We covered the Mars Retrograde phase, in relationship to our own birth charts… in the “Mars Retrograde in Aries, Sept-Nov. 2020” webinar. Feel free to purchase this webinar here (if you haven’t seen it yet).

Is your Sun sign or Ascendant in Aries? Or do you have your Ascendant, Career point (or personal planets) in 13-29 degrees of Aries, Capricorn, Cancer, or Libra? If so, you will be more affected by this Retrograde phase.
Thursday, Sept. 10th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Tuesday later afternoon for details).
Thursday early morning, at 5:26am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in a little over 18 degrees of Gemini becomes exact. We started to feel this from the moment the Moon entered Gemini on Tuesday late afternoon. The Moon in curious, chatty Gemini makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in practical, detail- and service-oriented Virgo.
This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change. This Moon phase brings us closer to the next New Moon, which will also be a Super Moon (exact on Sept. 17th in Virgo).
During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon — in this case, that would be Aug. 18th — as opposed to launching new ones. Out of those projects, what needs last-minute adjustments? What did you discover since then? What did it mean for you? As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-20 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces? If so, you will feel this month’s last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Thursday early evening, a Mercury/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 6:24pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Tuesday evening on, it will remain strong until Saturday. We can balance our ability to think and speak justly with any wounding and insecurity around the masculine energies (asserting ourselves, going after something, or being actively engaged with life and others).
This aspect may play out in a relationship, with each of you living out one side of the equation. We may experience guilt or shame around something we said or didn’t say.
If you feel triggered by someone else (or vice versa), as best as you can, direct compassion and kindness towards both of you. Ask yourself: Is this connected to my past and/or upbringing? What if this were an opportunity to embrace my wounded inner child with love and kindness?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in degrees of 5-11 Libra, Aries, Capricorn, or Cancer? If so, you may feel more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).
Thursday night/Friday very early morning, at 12:48am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 3.5 hours until 4:23am EDT (Friday early morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to move things forward for yourself, especially anything connected to personal goals or projects.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday night until Friday early morning ahead of time.
Friday, Sept. 11th:
Friday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini and VoC until 4:23am EDT; at that time, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Sunday late morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the next three days 😉
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Friday late afternoon, a Sun/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 4:26pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from this Tuesday evening on, it will remain strong until next week, Monday (Sept. 14th). Having a balance between logic and intuition — between what we know and what we feel or sense — is essential at this time. We need to gain clarity when it comes to our dreams, and come to understand that we can only improve our current situation through forgiveness and love.
The mind plays an important role during this time. Provided they make sense to you, choices that connect you to your heart will help you succeed. It’s also important to give up being “right” at this time and thereby allow a sense of flow. As best as you can, trust your intuition and practice self-compassion 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-23 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this opposition quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune rules Pisces).
Saturday, Sept. 12th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Friday early morning for details).
Saturday morning, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 8:35am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday morning on, it will remain strong until Sunday morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
It could be hard to make decisions under this influence, as we tend to doubt our perceptions or our problem-solving ability. It may also be hard to read the intention behind the words used to communicate, leading to misunderstandings: we tend to feel uncomfortable — a sort of “inner itchiness”.
As best you can, give yourself time to respond, allow your breath to ground you — and empower yourself and others by coming from love rather than fear — after all, at this moment (if you stay out of memory and away from concepts and imaginary futures), aren’t you actually ok?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 9-11 degrees of Libra or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter of Sagittarius).
Saturday evening, at 8:41pm EDT, Jupiter comes to a halt in 17.5 degrees of Capricorn and slowly starting to move direct again, after a 4-month Retrograde phase; as mentioned late last week, Saturday (Sept. 5th), Jupiter’s energy will be felt most strongly right now.
The Jupiter Retrograde gave us a chance to tap our inner wisdom, optimism and sense of possibility. It was a chance to learn more about how the world works from our inner understanding. We got to choose our “true beliefs” and attitudes toward our long-term goals, standing in society, and connection to the world at large (with its current perspectives). We may also have learned which beliefs serve us and which don’t.
This process of internal connection to our wisdom and ability to grow has been underway for the past four months.
As Jupiter slowly starts to pick up speed again, it will return our focus to the outside world — a process that will be complete by Oct. 3rd. Where would you look for your inner wisdom? How would you like to apply what you have discovered over the last 4 months in the outside world?
Want to know how to apply this to your own life? We covered the Jupiter Station/Direct phase, in relationship to our own birth charts… in the “Mars Retrograde in Aries, Sept-Nov. 2020” webinar. Feel free to purchase this webinar here (if you haven’t seen it yet).

Those of us who have any of our personal planets (or our Ascendant) in 15-20 degrees of Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or Libra will be more affected by this station. This is also true for those of us with their Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius, so those folks will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter’s movements and aspects).
Also on Saturday, Pluto starts to slow down (station), preparing to come to a halt on Oct. 4th, after its 5-month Retrograde phase. This makes its energy more exalted in the sky for the next 6 weeks…until Oct. 24th.
When an outer planet stations, its energy gets more pronounced; we become more aware of its impact on us — and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet’s energy has picked up speed again (around Oct. 9th).
Pluto is associated with our soul purpose. It relates to the process of empowerment — our ability to feel empowered from within, through the experience of wholeness — and to our deepest passions.
It is also associated with transformation, for example our ability to transform darkness into light or “death” into “rebirth”. Those terms don’t necessarily refer to physical death or rebirth, but rather some sort of ending and beginning.
To get to a place of truthfulness on the soul level, Pluto will remove what no longer serves us, replacing it with something new — something fully aligned with our deepest passions and soul purpose.
When we resist the deep changes Pluto brings, we tend to suffer; on the other hand, when we surrender and allow for that process to take place, we will move to a place of greater authenticity — and feel a newness and empowerment from within.
As best as you can, take a closer look at whatever is “in your face” for the next 6 weeks. Look for what might no longer be in alignment with your soul’s purpose (your deep authentic Self).
Ask yourself: Where am I holding on, out of fear? What habits, behaviors or fears are holding me back from feeling fully empowered from within? What would it look like, if I was fully aligned with my Soul-purpose? How would it feel? When we confront our fears we very often discover hidden gifts and strengths.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 20-25 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries, or Libra? If so, you will feel this station more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Sunday, Sept. 13th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 11:32am EDT (see Friday early morning for details).
Sunday morning, a harmonious Venus/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 7:25am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from this Thursday evening on, it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday evening (Sept. 15th). This heightens compassion and understanding and helps heal some wounds from the past. We also get a chance to engage in a humorous way about our own flaws and insecurities.
We are more willing to be open and courageous, trusting that the other person has our best interest at heart; we also more easily see beauty in human weaknesses, rather than fault — it’s a strong time for seeing potential in one another. What potential do you see?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 5-11 degrees of Leo, Aries, or Sagittarius? If so, you are more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra).
Sunday at 8:05am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 3.5 hours until 11:32am EDT. Use this intuitive time to make adjustments and find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. Make space both for personal projects that you feel passionate about and for emotional or family issues…
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday morning until the late morning ahead of time.
Sunday at 11:32am EDT, the Moon moves into fun-loving and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday late morning (Sept. 15th). We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness 🙂
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak, just thinking of it?
Sunday around 11:25pm EDT, the Balsamic Moon phase begins as the Moon reaches almost 7 degrees of Leo. This lasts until next week, Thursday morning, when the New Moon/SuperMoon in Virgo becomes exact (more on that next week… however, feel free to watch my video on the subject here).
We are being asked to slow down and get quiet, so we can listen to our inner sensing/intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can: stay grounded, take a deep breath and exhale any tensions. Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.
This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Sept. 14th): the Moon remains in fun-loving and attention-loving Leo all day. In the evening, a harmonious Sun/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 7:09pm EDT; we started to feel this aspect build from this Sept. 11th on, it will remain strong until Sept. 17th. Also, Saturn’s Station phase begins (‘slowing down’), getting ready to end its 4.5-month Retrograde phase. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 🙂
