Release or Renegotiate any Lingering Relationship Issues
This week’s headline items: Pluto remains highly exalted all week. On Wednesday, Eclipse Season begins, Mars aligns with the South Node in Libra, and Mercury changes signs from Virgo to Libra. The last Quarter Moon in Cancer becomes exact late Friday morning; Venus exits her post-Shadow phase early Saturday; and last but not least, Venus finally changes signs from Leo to Virgo late Sunday evening.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday late evening (for almost 4 hours), Thursday very early morning (for 6 hours), and Saturday afternoon (for a little over 4 hours).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, please know that…

Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, October 2nd:
Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day. It will journey there until Monday night/Tuesday very early morning. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.
In other words: change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing until Monday night? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.
Monday late morning, a Mercury/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 11:34am EDT. We have been feeling this aspect build since Saturday evening (Sept. 30th); it will remain strong until Wednesday morning (Oct. 4th). This aspect is asking us to balance logic and intuition (left vs. right brain).
On the one hand, we have strong intuitive connections… on the other, the struggle to focus could lead to confusion or wishful thinking.
Ask yourself: Am I feeling overwhelmed? Do I get easily distracted? Do I zone out? If the answer to any of those is “yes”, as best as you can, center yourself in the here and now. Allow yourself to be present, listen to what’s inside of you (beyond the mind), and trust your intuitive Self.
We are more inclined to daydream, fantasize, and imagine things; this can lead to some frustrating communications. As best as you can, use this aspect to create spiritual connections — or something beautiful, imaginative, or inspiring to others.
Ask yourself: Could I simply tune in for a moment and see if I need to take a break (or at least slow down a little)? Could I be 5% more compassionate and kind to myself and others?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this opposition quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Virgo and Gemini; Neptune rules Pisces).
Monday late evening, at 9:20pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that lasts for almost 4 hours, until 1:03am EDT (Tuesday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to empower each other in regard to earthly issues and mutually support each other in practical ways.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late evening until Tuesday very early morning ahead of time.
Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, at 1:03am EDT, the Moon enters chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Thursday morning. For the next 2.5 days, we like to learn, connect, and interact as much as possible.
“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead…

Tuesday, Oct. 3rd:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Monday night for details).
Tuesday afternoon, a harmonious Mercury/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 3:20pm EDT. We have felt this aspect build since Sunday evening (Oct. 1st); it will remain strong until this Thursday morning (Oct. 5th). Our words and our “speaking” are very grounded and realistic.
We can feel really empowered by what we think & say (and how we say it) during this time. Our conviction and passion help us to connect and empower others.
Ask yourself: How could my discernment and practical decision-making abilities help me manifest my long-term goals? Could it perhaps be useful to release fears of scarcity and resulting distrust? Could I put my trust where it is worth putting?
What if a realistic and neutral recognition of “what is” was the first step toward manifesting my goals? What if the same was true of taking care of my daily routines? Or of my health routines?
We are strongly connected to our inner truth and can analyze and understand our motivations around long-term goals. We investigate our own thought structures in a very realistic, focused way and look to see what needs to be communicated next.
This aspect also has a “now or never” theme, so ask yourself: What choices do I need to make to smooth the path right now? What is calling out to be simplified in my daily routines? How might that serve me long-term? What if I made a daily practice of tapping into the power of love from within?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 25-29 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus, or 0-1 degrees of Libra, Aquarius, or Gemini? If so, you will be even more blessed by this aspect than those who do not; this is also true for those of us with our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo, or Scorpio (Mercury rules Gemini and Virgo, Pluto rules Scorpio).
Tuesday evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:21pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday morning on; it will remain strong until Wednesday night (Oct. 4th/5th). Due to Venus’ Retrograde phase in July/August, we are experiencing this aspect for the third time within a 2.5-month period — the first time it was exact was on July 15th, the second time on July 30th.
Think back to mid-July until early August and ask yourself: What felt out of alignment during that time? What was uncomfortable? How did you relate to the misalignment or the discomfort?
This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward, and must make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed to see what needs adjusting.
Much of this discomfort centers around “unrealism” — we tend to idealize romantic and financial interactions, but at the same time, our sense that we’re doing precisely that leaves us uncomfortable. This applies to ourselves also: it’s easy for us to incorrectly appraise who we are and where we’re going.
We might also get confused when we cannot connect with others in a fun-loving way or receive the love and admiration we desire. We may feel overwhelmed when connecting with others or simply de-energized by too much socializing. The key is genuine self-acceptance; if we allow that, our range of love expression increases.
It’s also worthwhile to look at how our ideas are received by others: Can we involve them in our dreams? As best as you can, slow down and trust the process: “If a thing is worth having, it’s worth waiting for.” Just for right now, could you simply have faith that everything will align eventually?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-27 degrees of Leo or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Wednesday, Oct. 4th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Monday night for details).
On Wednesday, we enter Eclipse season until November 7th; for 10 days before and after an Eclipse, we are usually in uncharted territory: anything is possible and it’s wise to expect the unexpected (I will be posting my first Eclipse video by Oct. 6th the latest).
Flexibility, thinking outside the box, and self-care are critical during Eclipse season! Self-care is particularly important in times of stress or change — basic things, like making sure that we eat healthily and regularly, drink plenty of water, exercise, get plentiful rest — and allow affection in from friends, family, or pets. Connecting to what feels supportive in order to stay grounded and regenerate ourselves can be very helpful as well.
Anything brand-new (and I really mean brand, brand-new) started during Eclipse season will likely not pan out the way we thought it would, often because important information comes to light only after the New Moon that follows the last Eclipse. If possible, try to defer any major brand-new projects until after Nov. 7th, when this Eclipse season is over. If something is beginning or ending in a way that seems organic, allow it to be. Trust Life.
That said, projects and interactions that got underway prior to Eclipse season (before Oct. 4th) are another matter — don’t stop your life just because it is Eclipse season. Pay attention also to anything that got started at the time of the last Solar Eclipse, in late April of this year.
Another Eclipse-related phenomenon: not only do Eclipses bring up uncertainty in us, but they might also leave us nervous, anxious, unsettled, and disoriented. We may want to push or act impulsively, but actions taken from anxiety might be premature or poorly thought through.
As best as you can, observe your feelings and stay grounded in the “here and now”. Connect to your intuition and inner wisdom; they will help carry you through this period. Remember: it’s temporary, and we are receiving an upgrade — that’s a good thing!
Just like upgrading a computer, you will get all the information you need as soon as the upgrade is complete — so as best you can, be patient. This does not mean that we need to drop everything; it just means it’s wise to check in with your higher Self — do this whichever way feels right to you.

Wednesday around noon, a Mars/South Node alignment in almost 25º of Libra becomes exact at 12:07pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday (Sept. 29th) on; it will remain strong until this Sunday night. This alignment gives us an opportunity to release or renegotiate any lingering issues connected to relationships or inequality.
Ask yourself: Do my relationships align with my self-image? How could I be “completely myself” and “aligned with others”? What small, simple act might uplift my collaborations with others for all concerned? Is there a big, bold action that might go even further?
We are invited to redefine how we use our masculine energies in connection with our one-on-one relationships.
With Mars in Libra, we are lit up by initiating contact with others, collaborating on projects that are near and dear to us, taking actions with our partners (life- or business partners), debating the law or relationship issues, mediating for others, fighting for justice, etc.
With Mars on the South Node, these things could also annoy us or bring up frustrations, especially if they are not happening the way we want them to or if there are delays… Impatience can be a big one for Mars…
We are invited to become aware of the lower vibrations of the Libra energy, so we can release any energies or attachments that no longer serve our evolution — and then move toward the higher vibration of the sign.
Libra, at its densest, shies away from conflict and might become passive-aggressive — these coping mechanisms are unconscious (in other words, we don’t know we are doing them), but they make the other person angry at us. If we don’t know what to do with the anger that presents itself to us, we could find ourselves at a loss and feeling victimized
Ask yourself: Which interactions would benefit from my showing 5% more courage? Being 5% more direct? Do I know who I am when collaborating or interacting with others? Do I focus too much on what other people want? Or not enough?
We are invited to redefine long-standing relationships, alliances, and other partnerships. We may experience a shift in how we “do” relationships and must look at where we need to rectify the unbalanced, unfair, or unfixable.
We are also invited to let go of something or someone that no longer serves us — this is part of releasing those energies or attachments that no longer serve our Soul’s evolution.
Ask yourself: What am I noticing about my one-one-one relationships? What am I choosing to ignore? What role does “wanting approval” play in all of this? How about “wanting to approve of myself”?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries (Mars rules Aries).
Wednesday evening, at 8:09pm EDT, Mercury changes sign from practical Virgo to harmony-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Oct. 22nd. Mercury in Libra changes the way we communicate and think. We are more likely now to see things from multiple points of view and to think in abstractions, this helps us be objective.
We have a strong sense of justice and look for ways to make compromises. We speak and act diplomatically; this comes from our desire for harmony, peace, diplomacy, and win/win outcomes. We feel better when we are not pressured into making quick decisions. Very probably, the two things we will most avoid at this time are confrontations and emotional intensity.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo? If so, you will feel a greater need for justice and fairness. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Libra? If so, you will most likely feel chattier for the next 2.5 weeks.
Thursday, Oct. 5th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 8:32am EDT (see Monday night for details).
Thursday very early morning, at 2:34am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 6 hours, until 8:32am EDT. If you are awake, use this intuitive time to playfully and authentically connect and share yourself with others.
Could you honor your connection to your inner child with a playful conversation? What might become possible if you connected with children (or playful adults) and exchanged information that supports creative self-expression?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday early morning ahead of time.
Thursday morning, at 8:32am EDT, the Moon enters protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Saturday evening. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say, and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-care is key for the next two days
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar, and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it; otherwise, you might start to feel drained and resentful.
This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the last Quarter Moon (exact on Friday late morning).
Thursday afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mercury/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 1:03pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday night on; it will remain strong until Friday early morning. This will contribute either to a lack of mental energy or a need to focus more inwardly. This aspect operates more internally: We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward, and we must make a choice.
The sheer scope of our goals in life can require more effort than is immediately apparent. Hard work can take its toll on our mental health. If we partition our big ideas into achievable segments — and go one clear action step at a time — we can move forward while maintaining inner peace and outer health.
Use your time wisely! Develop the inner awareness needed, so you can see what needs adjusting.
Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to rank things in order? Could you let go, just for now, of wanting to be in control? Wanting to know what’s next? Might slowing down and turning inward give you the solution that you are looking for?
Where might staying in communication with others and allowing them to contribute reduce stress or pressure?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-2 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Virgo, Gemini, or Capricorn (Mercury is the ruler of Virgo and Gemini; Saturn rules Capricorn).
Thursday evening, a somewhat challenging Mars/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 7:09pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday morning on; it will remain strong until Saturday morning. Our idealism and high expectations could lead us into frustrating circumstances that leave us emotionally and physically drained.
Our vitality and emotional resilience increase as we learn how (and where) to get involved in projects and collaborations we feel passionate about.
That said, we may also have difficulty establishing realistic limits with others and around our own self-expectations; this, combined with a tendency to laziness (especially where exercising good judgment is concerned) could leave us feeling “rudderless” or even overwhelmed. As best as you can, therefore, allow for downtime, rest, and spiritual connection.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-27 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Pisces(Mars is the ruler of Aries; Neptune rules Pisces)
Friday, Oct. 6th:
Friday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Thursday morning for details).
Friday morning, a somewhat challenging Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 8:50am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Thursday early morning on; it will remain strong until Saturday late morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice… so we need to develop inner awareness.
Fear of disappointment and of others is causing some tension. Our inner need for growth requires us to be honest about what is causing our fears — most likely our lack of good boundaries and self-esteem.
We might easily get pulled into overly burdensome roles in other people’s lives because we feel it is required. Careful examination of our routines and how we feel about ourselves is necessary if we are to free our ability to love, develop, and grow. This can potentially create deep inner healing.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 27-29 degrees of Leo or Capricorn? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Friday at 9:48am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 13° of Cancer becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build the moment the Moon entered Cancer, on Thursday morning. The Moon in protective, nurturing Cancer makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in harmony-oriented, idealistic Libra.
This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change. This Moon phase brings us closer to Oct. 14th, which will bring a powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Libra.
With this particular last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what was started around the time of the last Solar Eclipse — in this case, around April 20th, 2023. We now have about a week to wrap those projects up. What — if anything — needs last-minute adjustments? What have you discovered since late April/early May? What did it mean for you?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-14 degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, or Aries? If so, you will feel this month’s last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Saturday, Oct. 7th:
Saturday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 7:24pm EDT (see Thursday morning for details).

Saturday early morning, a somewhat challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 5:04am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday morning on; it will remain strong until Sunday morning. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, sort of awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed if we’re to see what needs adjusting.
This aspect brings us to a fork in the road: One path takes us toward alliances and harmonious exchanges with others; the other leads to a greater understanding of our finances and how our physical reality works when it comes to enjoying our bodies, possessions, and talents.
There’s not necessarily a “correct path”, as both roads can lead to a deeper exploration of the themes in question — but whichever one you decide to walk, be sure to honor yourself along the way — especially any time we notice we are becoming overly enthusiastic with others and thus exceeding our physical or financial capacities.
If we do start to feel drained or frustrated, it might be helpful to look at how we use our energy: Are we in tune with our physical body? Are we allowing other people to contribute to us? Are we expecting too much from ourselves? From others?
It’s also worthwhile to examine how our belief systems around money and self-worth impact our relationships. Can we be open to new perspectives on how our financial reality impacts how we relate to others? Could we perhaps even stay open to the possibility of creating financial growth?
Neither avoiding conflict nor digging in our heels will serve us now; instead, do your best to slow down and stay tuned in to your physical body — be like a strong, steady tree, with roots grounding you deep into the earth and branches that bend with the wind.
One more thing: carefully evaluate collaborations before getting involved — awareness is key with this aspect. Ask yourself: What is needed here? What honors me? How can I serve the broader view?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 13-15 degrees of Libra or Taurus? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo, Jupiter rules Sagittarius)
Saturday morning, around 5:15am EDT, Venus exits her post-Shadow phase, when she reaches 28º36′ of Leo. She previously visited this territory during her Retrograde and the Shadow phase that preceded it; today, she will finally go beyond the region she has been moving through since June 19th!
Venus was Retrograde from July 22nd until Sept. 3rd and has now completed the third and final leg of its triple pass through 12º – 28.5º of Leo.
We no longer need to look back in order to re-evaluate our relationships or finances — we can finally move forward, start new connections with others, and create new financial goals. What are you ready to attract or create?
Saturday afternoon, at 3:12pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last a little over 4 hours, until 7:24pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to remain flexible and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body that way, you’ll remain able to empower yourself and others.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday afternoon until the evening ahead of time.
Saturday evening, at 7:24pm EDT, the Moon moves into fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until next week, Tuesday morning (Oct. 10th). We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness …
So hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic, as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy as well. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s definitely easier for the next two days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun, you let out a tiny squeak just thinking of it?
Sunday, Oct. 8th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Saturday evening for details).
Sunday late evening, a challenging Mars/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 9:05pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday morning on; it will remain strong until next week, Friday morning (Oct. 13th). Our ambition and drive to succeed are incredibly strong now; we feel prepared to go to any lengths, in order to achieve our goals — and we have the required energy.
It’s a real need to achieve, a compulsion even — we often find it difficult to stop.
This aspect could also lead to power struggles, perhaps with an authority figure, perhaps within ourselves. The problem is, “push” could come to “shove” — and once in a shoving match with Mars and Pluto involved, we may not know when enough is enough.
Do your best to tap into the power of the love within. Find creative ways to empower yourself and others by coming from love rather than fear — after all, at this moment (if you stay out of memory and away from concepts and imaginary futures), aren’t you actually ok?
Flexibility is key — and walking away for 10 minutes might just save you from doing something you later regret — and also perhaps from burning out.
Ask yourself: When is enough enough? How important is this really? Am I burning bridges I might need to cross later?
Do I use authenticity as a strategy or a weapon of any kind? Do I call myself “honest” when I engage in confrontations, make accusations, or blame others in any form?
If anger does arise, ask yourself: What lies beneath my anger? What am I afraid of losing? Where am I attached? Is it worth my being destructive?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 25-29 degrees of Libra, Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, or 0-1 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Taurus or Leo? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Scorpio (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Pluto rules Scorpio).
Sunday late evening, at 9:11pm EDT, Venus finally changes signs from playful, fun-loving Leo to detail-oriented, practical Virgo. She will journey through that sign until Oct. 27th. For the next three and a half weeks, our relationships are going to be put under the magnifying glass. We are more likely to want to make our relationships work in real terms.
We need to feel of service to others; we love to help, especially in a practical, down-to-earth kind of way. This might also be a great time to acknowledge the people in our lives who take care of those little, daily details and make our lives easier …
On a social level, we might be more shy during this time — less confident — and most likely too busy to uphold our social commitments. On the financial side of things, we may want to invest in our health — especially around healthy daily routines — and anything that makes life run more smoothly on a practical level. Things that aren’t so practical, sensible, and “just plain right” may leave us feeling uneasy.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you will feel more shy and possibly busier than usual for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to be of service to others. Being healthy and having a healthy partner is important now. If you are a Virgo Sun-sign or Rising-sign, you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Oct. 9th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day; in the morning, the Moon trines Chiron in Aries, exact at 7:13am EDT; in the afternoon, the Moon squares Uranus in Taurus, exact at 4:36pm EDT; in the late evening, the Moon quincunxes Neptune in Pisces, exact at 11:21pm EDT. More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…
