Forecast for Feb. 5th – 11th, 2018
The theme of last week for me was “release your fears and your need for control”. I kept reminding myself of all the things I usually say to my clients: be kind to yourself, etc. 🙂
Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have one quick announcement:
Feel free to check out my 13-minute excerpt from our last Forecasting Forum about the Eclipses.
And if you want to know how these powerful Lunations will impact you personally, feel free to buy the whole 90+ min. webinar on the subject — click here: we talked about what to expect for the next 3 weeks, and how it all applies to our own birth charts 😉 ***Only available until Feb. 25th!***
This week’s headline items: Eclipse season continues all week; in other news, the last Quarter Moon in Scorpio becomes exact on Wednesday late morning, while Venus changes signs from Aquarius to Pisces on Saturday early evening.
There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday afternoon (for a little over 9 hours), Thursday very early morning (for a little over 6.5 hours), and Saturday late morning (for almost 10 hours).
Monday (February 5th): the Moon remains in relationship-oriented, harmony-seeking Libra until 10:56pm EST. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.
We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time; we are therefore open to compromise and negotiation. These next two days are a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.
We may also be able to see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t actually make a decision. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.
Monday at 1:46pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 9 hours, until 10:56pm EST. Use this intuitive time to reexamine your various one-on-one relationships. Ask yourself: Do any of my relationships stifle my unique spark? How can I balance my need for connection with my desire for freedom?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday afternoon and evening ahead of time 🙂
Monday at 10:56pm EST, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Thursday morning. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉
Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.
The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. This makes it an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.
Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can thus be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂
Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this aspect, so do your best to be straightforward — act in good faith and assume it in others. Best of all, be truly present to the fluctuations of your feelings — no matter if they’re “polite” or “timely”. Feelings aren’t facts, but they are information — and heeding them will help you embrace all of who you are.
Know thyself — and love thyself — you shall be set free. Remember: Love connects us to the Power within; Fear causes “Force” to show up — and that’s ultimately what disempowers us and others.
Tuesday (February 6th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Monday late evening for details).
Tuesday evening, an opportune Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 8:37pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Monday morning on; it will remain strong until Thursday morning. This gives us the opportunity to experiment with how we relate to others — to do something different or unusual — freedom plays a big part in this aspect.
Of course, others are experimenting too, so you might experience some unusual or unexpected interactions during this time — it’s a favorable time for social meetings and events. As best as you can, stay open and flexible: fresh air is blowing through your relationships.
We’re also ready to experiment with our financial undertakings — good places to look: all things “tech” (electronics, technology, internet); metaphysics; the arts; group activities. This is not the best time to make long-term financial investments not suggested in an intuitive flash 😉
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Aquarius, Aries, Sagittarius or Gemini? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, Uranus rules Aquarius).
Wednesday (February 7th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio all day (see Monday late evening for details).
Wednesday late morning, at 10:54am EST, the last Quarter Moon in almost 19 degrees of Scorpio makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in Aquarius. We started to feel this aspect build from the moment the Moon entered Scorpio on Monday late evening. The Moon in deep-feeling Scorpio is making a challenging aspect to the Sun in emotionally detached Aquarius. This may bring up some challenges. However, it also energizes us to look at what needs to be completed — and what needs to be changed.
This Moon phase brings us closer to the upcoming Solar Eclipse, a powerful New Moon in Aquarius (on Feb.15th). During the last Quarter Moon, we are better served by reviewing those projects we began around the last New Moon — in this case, that would be Jan. 16th — as opposed to launching new ones.
Since this is also the last Moon phase before the Solar Eclipse becomes exact, it also ends an Eclipse cycle; journeys begun around the time of the last Eclipse (Aug. 21st), especially those connected to finding our inner joy and a healthy self-expression of our talents, are now coming to completion.
Given that, what projects call for completion, so they can become milestones on your journey to happiness? Where have you learned to focus more on your heart’s desire? What if you brought love and laughter to that? What have you discovered since August 2017?
As best as you can, find kind and creative solutions for whatever comes up, whether internally or with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 16-21 degrees of Scorpio, Aquarius, Leo, Taurus? If so, you are more affected by this month’s last Quarter Moon. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Thursday (February 8th): the Moon remains in passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio until 8:53am EST (see Monday late evening for details).
Thursday very early morning, at 2:16am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 6.5 hours, until 8:53am EST. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments in your life. As best as you can, find creative solutions to seemingly unsolvable situations. Make space either for connections with like-minded people, for involvement in a cause, or for the creation of deeper emotional bonds.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Thursday morning ahead of time 🙂
Thursday at 8:53am EST, the Moon moves into optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius, where it will journey until Saturday evening. We’re strongly motivated to explore and learn. We’re not likely to be big fans of routine — diversity and new adventures work best at this time — we’re also physically restless and need to burn that off with activity and physical exercise.
We tend to feel more open, optimistic and inspired — but we also have a high degree of independence — and taking these two influences together, this means we’d rather inspire others to do things our way, as opposed to issuing or obeying orders. Inspiring others could come easier than normal, as we can see the bigger picture, leaving us confident that others will agree with us, once they see what we see.
As best as you can, speak your truth without assuming that everyone is on the same page as you. Improvisation works well for us at this time, as we are spontaneous and love living on the edge — just watch out you aren’t overdoing or overstating things.
Friday (February 9th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius all day (see Thursday morning for details).
Friday late morning, we may need to make some adjustments. As best you can, honor both your need for adventure and exploration of life and your need to go within. You may feel a pull between introvert and extrovert, or simply fast and slow. Tune in for a moment and see if you need to take a break or at least slow down a little. As best as you can, be compassionate and kind with yourself.
On Friday afternoon, we have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with like-minded people, have an adventure, or simply do something that gets us excited about the future.
Saturday (February 10th): the Moon remains in optimistic, adventurous, truth-seeking Sagittarius until 9:21pm EST (see Thursday morning for details).
Saturday at 11:38am EST, we enter an approximately 10-hour Moon void of course (VoC); it lasts until 9:21pm EST. Use this intuitive time to connect with like-minded people and to learn something new about your unique self — explore, take a risk.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday afternoon and evening ahead of time 🙂
Saturday at 6:20pm EST, Venus changes signs from freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius to creative, sensitive Pisces, where she will journey until March 6th. For the next four weeks, we have a chance to connect with other people from our compassionate heart. We may also idealize our relationships a little — we’re feeling quite romantic, and hopeful that our dreams will be fulfilled.
With Venus in Pisces, our love is very accepting — it comes as close to “unconditional” as humans can get. One way this shows up: We root for the underdog. We prefer feeling things out, to planning.
As you can imagine, we may spend our money on things that don’t make “sense” — but if we heed intuition and allow for money to flow freely, we may discover that the Universe is always taking care of us 😉
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Pisces? If so, beauty and love will enhance your life for the next three-and-a-half weeks. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? You may feel a strong need for romance or unconditional love — or dream of the ideal relationship. Your finances and values may undergo the spiritual process of releasing control and trusting more to intuition and the flow of life.
Saturday evening, a challenging Sun/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 6:21pm EST. We started to feel this aspect build from Wednesday evening on; it will remain strong until next week Tuesday evening (Feb. 13th). This aspect says “stretch and grow!”. There is a feeling of enthusiasm and excitement in the air; it almost seems as if we could move mountains.
Awareness is key: Be alert for undue optimism, that could lead to overextending or over-promising: As best as you can, stay connected to what’s real — avoid exaggerations, especially when it comes to your “feeling body”.
This is a time for collaboration and for coming together — provided we don’t let ourselves get too overwhelmed by those historically-based emotional demons. As best as you can, take it one moment at a time, staying grounded in your vision for life.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-25 degrees of Aquarius, Scorpio, Taurus or Leo? If so, you will be more aware of this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Sagittarius (the Sun rules Leo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Saturday at 9:21 pm EST, the Moon moves into practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn, where it will journey until next week Tuesday late morning (Feb. 13th). We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.
Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.
As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉
Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it is currently transiting through its own sign, making this a great time to take look at your long-term aspirations and anything that you would like to master over the next three years. It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our strategies for self-mastery.
For starters: Do you truly see “what’s so” in your life (as opposed to what you merely wish it to be, or what you would like it to be, or where you see yourself going, etc)? What is actually so right now? Once you have a handle on where “A” is, it’s easier to “go from A to B” — whether “B” is self-mastery or standing on the mountaintop.
Sunday (February 11th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Saturday late evening for details).
Sunday morning: we experience a sense of maturity, and of commitment towards ourselves and our long-term goals; for long-term success, focus on long-term projects that require a realistic approach or a solid commitment.
A head’s up for next Monday (Feb. 12th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Saturday late evening for details). Moon in Capricorn sextiles Neptune in Pisces at 12:08am EST. Moon in Capricorn conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn at 2:22pm EST. Moon in Capricorn sextiles Jupiter in Scorpio at 6:42pm EST. 🙂 More about all the details in next week’s forecast 😉
