Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, Aug. 26th:
Monday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day. It will journey there until Wednesday early morning.
Until then, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…
The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged, we might as well curl up and play dead …
Monday at 5:26am EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 3.5º of Gemini becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build when the Moon entered Gemini late on Sunday evening (Aug. 25th).
The Moon, in curious, chatty Gemini, makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in practical, detail- and service-oriented Virgo.
This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change.
We are better served during the last Quarter Moon by reviewing any projects begun around the last New Moon — in this case, that would be Aug. 4th — rather than launching new ones.
As best as you can, find kind and creative solutions for whatever comes up, whether internally or with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 1-6 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, or Pisces? If so, you will strongly feel this month’s last Quarter Moon; the same is true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer, since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.

Tuesday, Aug. 27th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Monday for details).
Tuesday early morning: a harmonious Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 3:24am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build last Saturday late morning (Aug. 24th); it will remain strong until this Thursday afternoon. This aspect helps us to embrace all that is new and unusual in romance and finance.
We are ready to experiment — but not to commit. We have an offbeat, pleasant attitude, and people are more willing to socialize.
This is an ideal time for financial undertakings involving technology and the internet, metaphysics, the arts, or group activities. Our fear of taking risks lessens at this time — so this could be an interesting few days for the stock markets…
Ask yourself: What do I picture when I imagine revolutionary health or work routines that support my values and make life more enjoyable for everyone interacting with me?
What might that teach me about my unique talents or value to the world? If I wanted to experience a breakthrough in my health and well-being, what might that look like?
Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 24-29 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius).
Tuesday morning, we have a tendency to think big and maybe feel a bit scatterbrained or at least have a restless mind. Our desire to share and gather information is quite strong.
We see lots of opportunities and want to move on them fast. Patience is probably not at the top of our list. However, optimism is quite strong. (Moon in Gemini conjuncts Jupiter, exact at 7:50am EDT)
Tuesday early afternoon: we can connect with others and express ourselves playfully and from the heart. What might become possible if we exchanged information with others to create more heart-openings? (Moon in Gemini sextiles Mercury in Leo, exact at 1:17pm EDT)
Tuesday afternoon/early evening, we may want to consider connecting with others, socializing, and taking a compassionate approach toward yourself and others, especially regarding personal goals and passions.
Ask yourself: what if a compassionate approach towards myself and others made for more fulfilling connections? (Moon in Gemini sextiles Chiron in Aries, exact at 4:11pm EDT)
Tuesday evening, we are invited to connect with others and share ourselves in whatever way, shape, or form feels right to us in the moment: spoken or written word, phone, email, IM, letter, etc. The faster, the better! (Moon in Gemini conjuncts Mars in Gemini, exact at 8pm EDT)
Wednesday, Aug. 28th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini until 4:47am EDT (see Monday evening for details).
Wednesday very early morning at 3:14am EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last for 1.5 hours, until 4:47am EDT. If you are awake during this intuitive time, use it to make some adjustments — and to do a little stretching and growing when it comes to your inner or emotional experiences.
As best as you can, be gentle with yourself and others, and seek to understand before seeking to be understood.
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday early morning ahead of time.
Wednesday early morning at 4:47am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Friday afternoon. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say, and our feelings are thus more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others.
Self-care is key for the next two days!
Emotional safety is also important to us; we like connecting to the familiar and enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance.
Make sure, though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, or you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Wednesday late afternoon, a Venus/Neptune opposition becomes exact at 4:25pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build on Monday morning; it will remain strong until Friday night. We are ready to dissolve anything we valued in the past that no longer serves us or humanity.
Our relationships might feel confusing or disappointing; they might even be some of the things “dissolving” — but this is helping us get more connected with our inner knowingness or sense of what feels “right”. Compassion may play a significant role in our interactions.
Ask yourself: What is in alignment with my higher Self? Can I find a way to connect the dots between a scientific and spiritual approach? Could I be open to the idea that all things are connected, even those that seem impossible to reconcile? Where might “perfect” and “exact” be overrated?
This might not be the best time to start a new relationship, as we tend to idealize others, leading to disappointment. As best as you can, find your inner balance with what’s real and what’s not… and allow others to be human, limitations and all .
Financially, we may want to invest in creative or spiritual endeavors that include others but hold off on buying anything concrete or practical until after August 30th.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 26-29 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, Sagittarius, or 0-2 degrees of Libra, Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune rules Pisces).
Wednesday at 5:14pm EDT, Mercury comes to a halt again, in 21.5 degrees of Leo, and slowly starts its direct motion after its 3.5-week Retrograde phase (which started on Aug. 5th at 4 degrees of Virgo).
As best as you can, go with the flow, keep an open mind, and pay attention to anything in your face right now — you may need to address those issues again when Mercury moves through its post-Shadow phase…more on that in a moment…
We are becoming ready to shift our focus back to the outer world, taking in new information and sharing from a new perspective.
Ask yourself: What did I learn about my self-expression over the last two weeks? My courage? What did I notice about my heart’s desire? Where do I feel aligned? Where do I feel misaligned?
What did I learn about my health and work routines between Aug. 5th and 14th? Or my inner critic? My problem-solving abilities?
How might I share my findings from the last 3.5 weeks healthily? What needs to be addressed around mindfulness? Self-expression? Courage? My well-being?
What have I discovered concerning the following question: If I could serve others from a heart-centered place, how would I do that?
When Mercury gets back to its regular speed (by Sept. 3rd), communication and transportation will get back to normal; the same is true of any associated gadgets, vehicles, etc.
Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 19-24 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio.
Also, on Wednesday, Mercury’s post-Shadow phase begins — lasting until Sept. 11th. As you may recall, I mentioned Mercury Shadow phases in this update a few weeks back…
If you want to buy, sell, or ship big-ticket items, it’s best to avoid the periods shortly before Mercury goes retrograde and after it goes direct.
This is especially true if the items are connected to health and wellness, creative self-expression, technology, transportation (cars, plane tickets, etc.), or communication (phone, computer, iPad, etc.) Click here to read my blog on the subject.
Thursday, Aug. 29th:
Thursday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Wednesday early morning for details).
Thursday at 9:23am EDT, Venus changes signs from detail-oriented, practical Virgo and moves into harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra. She will journey through that sign until Sept. 22nd. With this placement, we prefer to show kindness, even-handedness, and a willingness to make our relationships work.
We value our relationships at this time, and we prefer entering into equal partnerships. Until Sept. 22nd, we can develop an idealized view of what a relationship “should” look like.
We do our best to treat others fairly for the next three and a half weeks, seeking the middle ground.
We are more likely to appreciate the arts, dance, beauty, collaborative projects, and celebrations of love (weddings, relationship anniversaries, declarations of love, marriage proposals, etc.).
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus? If so, you will feel more connected to your inner harmony for the next 3.5 weeks. Your heart will want to connect to others in an equal setting. If you are a Libra Sun- or Rising-sign you are going to have more love and beauty in your life for as long as Venus is in your sign.
Thursday late morning, a harmonious Venus/Pluto aspect becomes exact at 10:32am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Tuesday early morning on; it will remain strong until Saturday evening. This aspect brings a fruitful and rewarding period in our lives.
We are more likely to experience new depths of intimacy (with an existing or new partner), we learn to appreciate the important people in our lives, and our value system transforms and evolves.
This is likely an excellent period for finances as well. Work we’ve done might well pay off, and we will be able to manage our finances better, with more attention to diversity, visions, and eliminating anything that no longer serves us.
We might renew a long-term vision under the influence of this aspect or bring new, deeper, and more intimate energy into a relationship or intellectually stimulating connection.
Our sexual lives might get a real boost now, as we tend to want to connect on a deeper level. We might find ourselves strongly attracted to someone like-minded, almost to the point of obsession.
If this aspect connects with any of your personal planets, you might just meet the “love of your life.”
One thing is for sure — relationships or intellectually stimulating connections experienced now are bound to be unforgettable. While this transit tends to signal new or strengthened relationships, any relationship that ends during this cycle may leave us feeling liberated.
Where are you being asked to transform? To trust the universal process?
For a more in-depth look at Pluto in Aquarius— in relation to your birth chart and to see what the next 20 years are about, collectively and individually speaking — check out my webinar about “Pluto in Aquarius until 2044” ==> Click here for more info.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-3 degrees of Libra, Aquarius, Gemini, or 27-29 degrees of Taurus, Capricorn, or Virgo? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Scorpio (Venus being the ruler of Taurus and Libra, while Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
Thursday late evening, around 9:15pm EDT, the Balsamic Moon phase begins when the Moon reaches 22 degrees of Cancer.
This lasts until next week, Monday late evening (Sept. 2nd), when the New Moon in Virgo becomes exact (more on that next week — however, feel free to watch my video on the subject here — it will be posted by Thursday, Aug. 29th).
We are being asked to slow down and get quiet so we can listen to our intuition. For some of us, this might be a stretch. As best as you can, stay grounded, take a deep breath, and exhale any tension.
Rather than starting something brand-new, put all that energy into completing existing projects or processes.
This is also a great time for letting go of whatever no longer serves us. What if you could hear the voice of your inner wisdom? What might it be saying?
Friday, Aug. 30th:
Friday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 1:09pm EDT (see Wednesday early morning for details).
Friday late morning at 11:24am EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last a little over 1.5 hours until 1:09pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to be in a state of “flow” and emotional connection to others; spiritual and creative endeavors are favored now.
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday morning ahead of time.
Friday early afternoon at 1:09pm EDT, the Moon enters fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Sunday late evening. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising.
We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness… So, hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them.
Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic as best you can. Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones.
If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s easier for the next two-and-a-half days. What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun?
What would be so much fun that you let out a tiny squeak just thinking of it?
Friday late afternoon, we may want to connect with others from the heart. What if you let yourself enjoy others in the mutual pursuit of peaceful collaborations? (Moon in Leo sextiles Venus in Libra, exact at 4:10pm EDT)
Saturday, Aug. 31st:
Saturday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Wednesday early morning for details).
Saturday is an unusually quiet day, astrological speaking — but one thing we will be quite aware of today is Uranus’ Station phase. The planet will come to a halt tomorrow morning; as such, it has reached its highest exaltation.
Inner and outer freedoms will move to the forefront today. We might have flashes of insight or new ideas about what must change.
What might this be for you? Where do you feel the desire to break free? If “Freedom” were inside of you, where might it be? Where have you denied yourself permission to be free? Unique? Simply yourself?
Another influence we will sense is the Venus/Pluto Trine that began to build on Tuesday morning and will remain strong until later this evening.
Relationships or intellectually stimulating connections experienced now are bound to be unforgettable. While this transit tends to signal new or strengthened relationships, any relationship that ends during this cycle may leave us feeling liberated.
Where are you being asked to transform? To trust the universal process?
Saturday evening feels a little uneasy. We need to develop inner awareness around two seemingly opposite pulls: on the one hand, a realistic assessment of our sensitivities and intuitive knowing; on the other, our need for self-expression, play, and fun.
We are invited to make some internal adjustments. We may want to express ourselves fully, but we may also need to be realistic about any limitations connected to our feeling-body.
The question is: Could I allow myself to feel the mismatch of those two desires? As best as you can, make adjustments as needed, and drop any self-judgment(Moon in Leo quincunx Saturn in Pisces, exact at 9:18pm EDT)
Saturday night/Sunday very early morning, we have the opportunity to connect to others and start a new adventure or simply do something creative that gets us excited.
It is also an opportunity to see the bigger picture if we choose to — or shift our perspective by talking it through with someone else.(Moon in Leo sextiles Jupiter in Gemini, exact at 2:10am)
Sunday, Sept. 1st:
Sunday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 11:48pm EDT (see Wednesday early morning for details).
Sunday late morning at 11:18am EDT, Uranus halts at 27degrees of Taurus, starting its yearly 5-month Retrograde phase until January 30th, 2025. During the Uranus Retrograde phase, we are invited to access the Uranus energy from within.
Our intuitions will be very strong during this time, and we can access sudden insights and ideas. This aspect allows us to take a look to see how free we feel.
As best as you can, take a look at whatever inside has been blocking your sense of freedom: Are you expressing your individuality to the fullest? Are you connecting to a larger vision?
Remember, doing the inner work is just as important as making progress in the outer world — the “Inner Universe” informs the outer — one cannot happen without the other.
We have five months to look inside at whatever has thwarted our progress.
Ask yourself: Where are inner roadblocks popping up? Could I give myself some introspective time to receive practical insights and ideas to help me go around those roadblocks and journey into the next phase of my life?
For a longer conversation about Uranus, feel free to watch my webinar ==> “Breakdown or Breakthrough: Navigating an exalted Uranus in Taurus”.

Some of us will feel the effects of the Retrograde phase more than others. This is particularly true if you have personal planets in 21-29 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Leo and have Aquarius as your Sun- or Rising Sign. For you in particular, this is a great time to reevaluate future visions — and perhaps to reexamine any group causes you want to be a part of.
Sunday at 8:10pm EDT, Pluto re-enters ambitious, goal-oriented Capricorn (due to its current Retrograde phase).
Pluto started its 15-year journey through this sobering Earth sign in January 2008, continued until March 23rd, 2023, and then returned there briefly from June 11th, 2023 through January 21st, 2024. This final visit will last until Nov. 19th, 2024.
Pluto’s journey through Capricorn initiated a deeper inquiry into our relationship to traditions, social structures, and authority (both inner and outer).
Think back to each of these periods, in turn: Feb. 12th until March 23rd, 2023 — June 11th until July 26th, 2023 — Dec. 20th, 2023 until Jan. 21st, 2024 — and ask: What did I learn about my authority in the world? What came up in business dealings?
How about with your Soul Purpose? What deeper issues need to be re-addressed from that time? What is asking to be transformed?
And now, turning your attention to the 15 years since 2008: What toxic traditions have you uncovered from your social conditioning? Where have you put too much pressure on yourself because of these toxic traditions and conditionings?
What has been your biggest “SHOULD” over the past 15 years? Are you ready to make choices not based on “shoulds”? What would that look like?
Between now and Oct. 11th, with Pluto in Retrograde, we have a chance to re-evaluate our relationship to our long-term goals and aspirations and how empowered we feel about them out there in the world (i.e. within the current social structures that are in place).
This is an internal process — a chance to go within and see what feels most in alignment with our Soul’s desire for sustainable autonomy. This is also an optimal time to continue any unfinished processes in connection to our Soul Purpose.
We are invited to dig deeper and transform what doesn’t feel emotionally authentic and make deeper alliances with people, places, or things that bring us closer to an empowered experience — one where we can feel passionate about what we are building in the world.
A systematic, practical approach to reaching our goals is definitely favored until Nov. 19th, 2024; we may obsess over long-term successes, so make sure you incorporate some self-care.
Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio? If so, you will be more serious and possibly more eager to accomplish concrete goals. Do you have your Ascendent or Sun-sign in 27-29 degrees of Capricorn, Cancer, Aries or Libra? If so, you will most likely feel a greater need for deeper connections and for processing old traumas.
Sunday at 8:25pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for almost 3.5 hours until 11:48pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to connect with others and do joyful, mentally stimulating things — note that you have to accept and act on this “invitation”; this is not something that will land in your lap.
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday evening ahead of time.
Sunday at 11:48pm EDT, the Moon enters detail-oriented, practical Virgo, where it will journey until Wednesday early afternoon, turning our focus toward the practical and wholesome.
We are generous with our time/services, and we love to help others. We also have a fondness for science and anything that makes sense in our world — things and knowledge we can apply and use.
Health might also come into focus at this time. We notice the parts that make up the whole; this is a great time to see if our daily routines (eating, work, self-care, etc.) align with our long-term goals.
This Moon placement starts the build-up towards the New Moon (exact on Monday late evening). Feel free to watch my New Moon video here to get ready for the next Moon cycle.
And…
A heads up for next Monday (Sept. 2nd): the Moon remains in detail-oriented, practical Virgo all day; in the late morning, a harmonious Mercury/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 9:46am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build Saturday morning (Aug. 31st); it will remain strong until Wednesday morning (Sept. 4th). At 9:56pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in 11 degrees of Virgo, marking the beginning of a new Moon cycle. This New Moon cycle also marks the beginning of Eclipse Season! More about all the details in next week’s Forecast…
