Noble or Charitable Goals
This week’s headline items: Pluto remains exalted all week. We still have time to set our New Moon Intentions on Monday and Tuesday, and starting Thursday, we can act on them. Venus changes signs again from Pisces to Aries on Wednesday afternoon; Mars will finally exit its post-Shadow phase very early Friday; Pluto comes to a halt late on Sunday morning, right after the first Quarter Moon in Leo becomes exact.
There will be three Moon Void of Course (VoC) phases this week: Monday night/Tuesday very early morning (for a little over 1 hour), Wednesday late evening (for 3.5 hours), and Saturday early morning (for 3.5 hours).
Before we get to this week’s Forecast, a gentle reminder…
Last Saturday (April 26th), we had another STAR HOUR via the Soulivity community platform. We had a wonderful livestream call. If you missed it, feel free to watch the replay here.
This was a FREE event for anyone who is curious about Astrology, has questions about controversial issues, or has a hard time wrapping their head around something.
Our next Star Hour will be on May 31st at 12:30pm EDT ==> Save the Date!
Now, this week’s Forecast…
Monday, April 28th:
Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day. It will journey there until very early Tuesday (April 29th). We love all physical comforts and prefer consistency and sticking with what we know works well.
In other words, change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.
Monday all day, will still be the best and most potent time to set your New Moon Intentions. If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-) watch my New Moon video: click here.
Monday from 4:30pm – 12:30am EDT, we are asked to connect with people with similar values who can provide practical support for our visions and share what is important to us — in particular, what we envision for the future around money and finances. (Moon conjuncts Uranus in Taurus, exact at 8:33pm EDT)
Monday from 7:50pm – 1:50am EDT, we have an opportunity to focus on the subtle and the essential — and achieve flow around material wants and needs.
We are invited to practice a gentler, more intuitive approach, to go within and get in touch with our inner divinity, and to bring peace and inner knowingness to our financial goals and ability to honor ourselves.
Ask yourself: Could I trust my inner knowing (or intuition) 5% more than I have previously? What spiritual practices could support me on this journey inward? What am I being asked to give up for a stronger connection to my inner guidance?
We are also asked to connect with people with similar values who can provide practical support for our visions and share what is important to us — in particular, what we envision for the future around money and finances. (Moon in Taurus sextiles Saturn in Pisces, exact at 10:51pm EDT)
Monday night/Tuesday very early morning, we enter a brief Moon VoC that lasts for a little over an hour, until 2:34am EDT (Tuesday very early morning). Use this short intuitive time as an opportunity to connect with others in a gentle, compassionate way, and enjoy a good meal, a glass of wine, a massage… think “physical pleasures”.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning ahead of time.

Tuesday, April 29th:
Tuesday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 2:34am EDT (see Monday for details).
Tuesday until 1:18am EDT, and from 2:34am until 3:31pm EDT, will still be the best and most potent time to set your New Moon Intentions. If you’d like some input on how to do that, check out this article — to (re-) watch my New Moon video: click here.
Tuesday at 2:34am EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Thursday early morning. For the next two days, we like to learn, connect and interact as much as possible.
“Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way… The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged, we might as well curl up and play dead…
Tuesday from 4:40am – 12:40pm EDT, we seek mentally stimulating, progress-oriented conversations. We are invited to bring emotional authenticity to our visions and dive deeply into something exciting. (Moon in Gemini trines Pluto in Aquarius, exact at 8:39am EDT)
Tuesday from 7:30am – 1:30pm EDT brings an opportunity to move things forward for ourselves. We can take advantage of this opportunity by connecting with others and participating in joyful, mentally stimulating projects. Note that you have to accept and act on this “invitation”; this is not something that will land in your lap. (Moon in Gemini sextiles Mars in Leo, exact at 10:29am EDT)
Wednesday, April 30th:
Wednesday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini all day (see Tuesday very early morning for details).
Wednesday at 1:16pm EDT, Venus changes signs from intuitive, creative, dreamy Pisces to fast-paced, enthusiastic, active Aries, yet again. She will journey there until June 5th/6th.
Due to her March/April retrograde, Venus has already journeyed through Aries once this year, from Feb. 4th to March 27th. Think back to that time, and ask yourself: What projects or physical activities did I prioritize back then? What energized me?
Until June 5th/6th, we will feel passionate about connecting to others. We are ready to make a new start: if you are single, this could be a great chance to start something new (all things being equal).
With Venus in Aries, spontaneity and independence are important to us. We are not the only ones who like a challenge though… so don’t make it too easy for others to win you over.
If you are already in a committed relationship, you get a wonderful chance to bring freshness and excitement to your bedroom and “other parts of the house”. We also have more energy than usual; we are more likely to want to get out of the house and be active with others.
All this is especially true if you are a Taurus, Libra, or Aries Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aries, beauty and love will enter your life during this time; you will feel more attractive and you will attract things to you. As a Taurus or Libra, you will feel more energized, passionate, and more than usually direct.
Wednesday at 11:49pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 3.5 hours, until 3:23am EDT (Thursday early morning). Use this intuitive time to stretch and grow. Your commitment to spiritual self-mastery, towards being in the present moment, calls you to make some adjustments with the outer world.
Ask yourself: What might be a creative way to stay connected to others and committed to practicing trusting my intuitive knowing?
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Wednesday night ahead of time.
Thursday, May 1st:
Thursday, the Moon remains in chatty, versatile Gemini and VoC until 3:23am EDT (see Tuesday very early morning for details).
Thursday at 3:23am EDT, the Moon moves into protective, nurturing Cancer, where it will journey until Saturday morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say, and our feelings are thus more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others.
Self-care is key for the next two days! Emotional safety is also important to us; we like connecting to the familiar and enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance.
Make sure, though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, or you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Thursday from 1:15am – 9:15am EDT, we are invited to make adjustments and (as best as we can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations.
On the one hand, we want to make space to go after our dreams and fantasies; on the other hand, we might need to address emotional or family issues. (Moon in Cancer squares Neptune in Aries, exact at 5:14am EDT)
Thursday from 7:50am – 11:50am EDT, requires some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice, one that demands more awareness around two very different urges:
On the one hand, the desire to go to a deeper, more authentic place when collaborating with like-minded people or networks who share our vision for a better future — and on the other hand, the need to nurture ourselves and stay in touch with our feeling body or surrounded by family or what feels familiar. (Moon in Cancer quincunxes Pluto in Aquarius, exact at 9:48am EDT)
Thursday from 8:45pm EDT on, it’s time to take actions on our New Moon intentions: if you set Intentions on Sunday afternoon/evening or this week Monday, or Tuesday — after the New Moon became exact — today (Thursday) will be the best time to start taking relevant actions.
If you wrote your intentions down, go back and take another look at what came through intuitively. If you didn’t write anything down, get quiet for a moment and check in with yourself: What actions are calling to me?
Feel free to watch my “New Moon in Taurus” video again (or for the first time 🙂 to see what actions might align with the current New Moon energies.
Friday, May 2nd:
Friday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day (see Thursday early morning for details).
Friday around 2am EDT, Mars exits its post-Shadow phase when it reaches 6º10′ of Leo. Mars’ Shadow phases usually last 6-8 weeks before and after the Retrograde phase.
Mars was Retrograde from Dec. 6th, 2024 until Feb. 23rd of this year, and it has now completed the third and final leg of its triple pass, moving from 17º of Cancer to 6º Leo
As Mars moves beyond 6º of Leo, we no longer need to look back in order to move forward; we can now take new steps, have new conversations, initiate new connections, and start new projects that are dear to our heart.
What are you ready to initiate or do?
Friday early afternoon, a Venus/Neptune alignment in 1 degree of Aries becomes exact at 1:07pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Saturday morning (April 26th) on; it will remain strong until next Wednesday (May 7th).
Due to Venus’ recent Retrograde phase, we have already experienced this aspect twice: first on February 1st, and a second time on March 27th.
Think back to those times: What came up? Were you able to improve or release unhealthy relationships? What were you invited to heal or complete? What could you change, and what did you have to accept? What areas of your life needed to be rebalanced? Redefined? Renegotiated?
This alignment takes place in Aries instead of Pisces, which brings a slightly different focus to this aspect than in previous instances. In Aries, the connection encourages us to let go of anything that prevents us from embodying our ideas and dreams, leading to a new beginning.
We are excited to forge new connections that inspire us to become the person we have always dreamed of being.
Our romantic feelings may be heightened, and we might overlook the reality of situations in our pursuit of a fantasy we wish to fulfill. Similarly, when it comes to people and finances, we should be wary of anything that sounds too good to be true — it might well be “too good to be true”.
On a more positive note, this combination also makes it easier for us to be forgiving. We can recognize the divine potential in our personal goals and, as a result, adopt a kinder and more inspirational approach.
Ask yourself: What if I embodied forgiveness, compassion, kindness, and inspiration? What needs to dissolve or melt away for that embodiment to occur?
How could my imagination support my personal goals and dreams? What if I allowed the part of me that is divine and knowing to guide me towards noble or charitable goals?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in the following: 0-4 degrees of Aries, Libra, Cancer, Capricorn, or 28-29 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius? If so, you will feel this alignment quite strongly.
This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra, and Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Saturday, May 3rd:
Saturday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer until 7:29am EDT (see Thursday early morning for details).
Saturday at 4:02am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for 3.5 hours, until 7:29am EDT. Use this intuitive time to focus on spiritual/intuitive experiences or creative endeavors and to lend loving and nurturing support to others.
As best as you can, focus on the here and now, and release anything that feels outdated or stuck in the past.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Saturday morning ahead of time.
Saturday morning at 7:29am EDT, the Moon enters fun and attention-loving Leo, where it will journey until Monday afternoon. We may lack objectivity and struggle with backing down or compromising. We all love to be admired — or at the very least acknowledged — for our greatness…
So, hand out some compliments — let people know how proud you are of them, and tell them how much you love them. Come from the heart in this and all other things… be honest and authentic as best you can.
Fun, games, and romance are a big part of this energy. You might also enjoy spending time with little ones. If there are no “outer children” around, how about getting in touch with your “inner child” — it’s easier for the next two-and-a-half days.
What are you most grateful for today? What would be heaps and heaps of fun? What would be so much fun that you let out a tiny squeak just thinking of it?
This Moon placement also starts the build-up towards the upcoming first Quarter Moon (exact on Sunday late morning).
Sunday, May 4th:
Sunday, the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo all day (see Saturday morning for details).
Sunday at 9:52am EDT, the first Quarter Moon in 14 degrees of Leo becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect when the Moon entered Leo on Saturday morning.
The Moon, in fun and attention-loving Leo, makes a challenging aspect to the Sun in steady, peaceful Taurus. We feel compelled to take action.
The New Moon took place a week ago (April 27th); “seeds” planted then are probably “sprouting” by now — and making their first real contact with the outside world. This is a time to stretch and grow — and create some forward momentum.
We may feel anxious or unusually busy. As best as you can, go one breath at a time. Allow for changes, remain flexible (as much as possible), and find creative solutions for your day-to-day interactions with others.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-16 degrees of Leo, Taurus, Scorpio, or Aquarius? If so, you will feel the effects of this first Quarter Moon more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).
Sunday at 11:27am EDT, Pluto halts at 3º49′ of Aquarius, starting its yearly 5-month Retrograde phase (until Oct. 13th). Pluto’s energy will continue to move more slowly, and therefore more exalted, until May 19th.
When an outer planet stops, its energy gets more pronounced; we become more aware of its impact on us — and this can sometimes cause discomfort. We are being asked to hang out with that discomfort until the planet’s energy has picked up speed again (around May 19th).
During the Retrograde phase, we will have a chance to connect to anything associated with Pluto from within. Pluto is associated with our soul purpose, as well as the process of empowerment — our ability to feel empowered from within — and with our deepest passions.
This forces us to see what really motivates us.
Pluto in Aquarius emphasizes some very powerful issues that we are currently dealing with collectively — a sort of re-birthing of our social connections, social causes, political parties, unions, and collaborations with like-minded people in general – which could, in turn, bring up feelings of being out of control.
Finding our tribe — one that resonates wholeheartedly with our unique flavor — may become an obsession. We may also experience grief, a desire to belong or fit in, a desire to create a future that is worth “living into”, or other intense feelings. The more we obsess, the more out of control we will feel.
The key is to focus on what we have influence over and on transforming denser energy patterns into lighter ones (in other words, becoming more conscious of our denser energy patterns so we can bring awareness and acceptance to them).
Personally and collectively, it will serve us to observe in any given moment what we would like to envision for ourselves and others, rather than holding on to any obsessive thoughts or traumatized feelings stemming from the past that no longer serve us.
Ask yourself: How might releasing historically based patterns of self-protection or survival support my having healthy social connections? Once aware of those patterns, could I experiment with surrendering all my fears to a “higher power” (for example, the power of my eternal Soul, my divine Self)?
Until Oct. 13th, we need to tap into our inner free spirit and embrace our future wholeheartedly. Looking back to see what has kept us from doing so in the first place will be very useful. Where have I been trying a little too hard to self-protect? Where have I been trying to control a political or social outcome?
Pluto in Aquarius is in its Retrograde phase. It asks us to be authentic in our interactions and look at our motivations for connecting with people, networks, affiliations, causes, etc. Given this, ask yourself: Am I coming from love, inclusion, and an open heart? Or am I coming from fear, separation, and wanting to fight (or protect)?
Until Oct. 13th, ask yourself: What am I painfully aware of? What stems from the past and needs to be transformed? What might open up if I placed 5% more focus on enjoyment, gratitude, and healthy self-expression?
How could I connect with others and have fun while giving everyone space to be their unique Selves? Could I release all fears about the future and simply trust life?
This Retrograde phase also asks us to investigate any focus, fear, or obsession around changing social norms or any social/political causes. What might be the deeper value of not losing our self-expression? Or our joy in life? How might that serve our various networks or communities? Or the collective?
We also covered Pluto’s journey through Aquarius, as it relates to our birth charts, in our webinar “Pluto in Aquarius until 2044.” Click here for more info and to get this 120 min. webinar
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 0-7 degrees of Aquarius, Leo, Taurus, or Scorpio? If so, you will feel this Retrograde phase more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Scorpio (Pluto is the ruler of Scorpio).
And…
A heads up for next Monday (May 5th): the Moon remains in fun and attention-loving Leo until 3:40pm EDT; at 9:03am EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that will last for a little over 6.5 hours, until 3:40pm EDT. At that time, the Moon moves into detail-oriented, practical Virgo. In the early afternoon, an opportune Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 1:21pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Saturday night (May 3rd/4th) on; it will remain strong until Tuesday evening (May 6th). More details will be provided in next week’s forecast.
