September 23rd – 29th

A Delicate BalanceForecast for September 23rd – 29th

This week’s headline items: Pluto’s station phase remains strong all week, while Saturn’s ends on Saturday. The Sun changes signs from Virgo to Libra on Monday afternoon, marking the Fall Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere, and the New Moon in Libra becomes exact on Saturday afternoon.

There will be four Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early evening (for a little over 11 hours), Wednesday early afternoon (for almost 18.5 hours), Friday very late evening (for a little over 6 hours), and Sunday late evening (for a little over 7.5 hours).

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have one quick announcement:

Now, this week’s Forecast…

Monday, September 23rd:

Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. It will journey there until Tuesday early morning. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for today 😉

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your own glass is full before letting others drink from it; if you don’t, you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Monday very early morning, at 3:50am EDT, the Sun changes signs from practical Virgo to harmony-seeking Libra, where it will journey until Oct. 23rd. This signifies the beginning of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere of this planet. The Fall Equinox is an energetic turning point from one season to the next. Equinoxes are super potent times for setting intentions. They are energetic gateways, where we experience the inter-relationship between light and dark, inner and outer, spirit and matter.

With the Sun entering Libra, we are being called to pay attention to our relationships. Bringing equality, cooperation and balance to our dealings with the world is recommended during this time. We have a keen awareness of issues concerning justice and we are more likely to take a stand against injustice, especially when it’s directed against others.

However, we also want to keep the peace, so we may use language and our intellect to diplomatically address such issues. We can see all sides of a situation — and therefore it’s not always easy to make the “right” choices. Our desire for harmony is great;  more often than not — consciously or unconsciously — we may find ourselves seeking the approval of others.

All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Libra Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As a Libra, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more aware of the delicate balance that is required internally and externally in your life.

Monday morning, requires some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice, one that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to expand our horizons and learn more about life, other cultures, religions, philosophies, etc. — and on the other hand, the need to nurture ourselves and stay in touch with our feeling body and what already feels familiar.

Monday early afternoon, we may take an all-or-nothing attitude toward others; this could drive some tension or oppositional behaviors… As best you can, remain flexible and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body — that way, you’ll remain able to empower yourself and others.

Monday at 6:05pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for a little over 11 hours until 5:19am EDT (Tuesday early morning). Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to look into the details of your life that make up your daily routines, and see if they are in alignment with you… Are your needs being met? Do your daily routines leave you feeling nurtured?

It is also an opportunity to connect to family (or friends that feel like family) and take actions around things that could improve everyone’s well-being — this could include health issues or concerns, or simply looking at our nutrition and what feeds us…

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can,…

New Moon in Libra — article

On Sept. 28th at 2:26pm EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 5.5 degrees of Libra, beginning a new Moon cycle.

New Moons are introverted times, when we go within to learn what we wish to align ourselves with for the next 28 days; with this New Moon in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra, this will likely be win-win situations, fair exchanges, and harmony (within our relationships and with our general environment). Check out my New Moon video to learn more about this. (posted by Sept. 24th)

Even though we have four planets in Libra at the time of this New Moon, including Venus (the ruler of Libra), harmony and balance is not something that is easily achieved with this lunation. We have plenty of challenging aspects in this New Moon chart, that might keep us off-balance — to say nothing of the Pluto Station phase that has been intensifying since Sept. 22nd, and is coming to a complete halt on Oct. 3rd, only 5 days after the New Moon becomes exact.

More about those details in a moment…. I just want to mention quickly that if you missed our FORECASTING FORUM on Sept. 19th, you may want to purchase the mp4-video presentation of this event — we discussed the Pluto Station in Capricorn (the planet is getting ready to go direct), and its relationship to our own Birth charts, and went over the Saturn Station as well.

If you want to know how these planetary movements are impacting you personally, click here and add the “Saturn & Pluto Station phases” webinar to your cart 😉 Until Oct. 3rd, get a 20% discount for this 85min. webinar! Add discount code: Webinars4Less at check out.

Ok, let’s get back to the New Moon — and specifically, the Libra component of this New Moon chart...

All relationships begin with our relationship to ourselves — everything “out there” is really “inside us”… Ideally speaking, interacting with another person is a co-creative, equal exchange — we must be centered within ourselves, yet also tuned into each other, all the while responding to the rhythm of life.

Here are some useful questions to ask yourself for this new Moon cycle: Where is the balance point? What comes up for me when I hear the phrase “the art of relationship”?

As the seventh sign in the zodiac, Libra represents a major turning point, one that invites us to investigate ourselves through the lens of “relationship” (i.e. relating on a one-on-one level). We bring with us anything we haven’t mastered from the six signs that precede Libra to all our relationships, attracting people into our lives who mirror back to us our relationship with ourselves; Libra thus invites us to see all of our issues, resolve them, and become whole.

Ask yourself: What if harmony and peace were mine to create within me first?

The Libra energy encourages us to see both sides of a situation and find the middle path (or better yet, a win-win); in order to reconcile opposite energies, we need to seek the highest and best outcome for everyone involved — in other words, we need to see everyone as equally deserving — including ourselves.

Libra also represents the quest for…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 3-8 degrees of Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer).

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for this month’s Moon cycle. Intentions are best set soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase — so this month, the best time to set intentions would be any time between 2:26pm, Sept. 28th, and 10:06pm, Sept. 29th — then again between 5:42am and 2:26pm, Sept. 30th (New York-Time).

If you live outside the EDT timezone (i.e. US East Coast time), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on Twitter; I will be posting reminders to let you know when it is time to set your intentions 😉 For more info about Setting New Moon Intentions click here.

Now, this week’s Forecast:

Monday, Sept. 16th:

Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday morning. Life is an adventure, we’re more open to new ideas, and have great enthusiasm for new projects. Patience is certainly not our strong suit at this time, but we can decide quickly, and act immediately.

Our independence and dynamism are important to us right now, so we may find it hard to be disciplined or accept advice at this time; in general, our responses to others tend to be more assertive or even aggressive. If you find your foot tapping, try hitting the gym, or finding other ways to burn off the body’s excess energy.

Monday very early morning, we feel an enthusiasm for personal achievement and exploration; in particular, we have an urge to explore something new that helps us develop an all-around understanding of the bigger picture. What might you be able to explore right now that you haven’t so far? What’s calling to you?

Monday at 12:03pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 18.5 hours until 6:31am EDT (Tuesday morning). Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, follow your inner compass and take care of your own needs; on the other hand, deepen your authentic connection to whatever you are building long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early afternoon until Tuesday morning ahead of time.

Monday early afternoon, a Mercury/Chiron opposition becomes exact at 12:55pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect from, last week Saturday evening  (Sept. 14th) on , it will remain strong until this Wednesday. We can balance our ability to think and speak justly with any wounding and insecurity around the masculine energies (asserting ourselves, going after something, or being actively engaged with life and others).

This aspect may play out in a relationship, with each of you living out one side of the equation. We may experience guilt or shame around something we said or didn’t say.

If you feel triggered by someone else (or vice versa), as best as you can, direct compassion and kindness towards both of you. Ask yourself: Is this connected to my past and/or upbringing? What if this were an opportunity to embrace my wounded inner child with love and kindness?

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in degrees of 1-7 Libra, Aries, Capricorn, or Cancer? If so, you may feel more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo).

Monday early evening, calls for some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand,….

September 9th – 15th

Spirit Beings in a Physical World — Forecast for Sept. 9th – 15th

This week’s headline items: Saturn starts its Station Phase (in Capricorn) on Tuesday, and on Friday, Pluto likewise, starting its own Station Phase in Capricorn. The Full Moon becomes exact in Pisces and Mercury changes signs from Virgo to Libra early Saturday morning; later that morning, Venus changes signs, from Virgo to Libra as well. Saturn’s Station phase intensifies on Sunday.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for almost 13 hours), Wednesday very early morning (28.5 hours), and Saturday night/Sunday very early morning (18 hours).

Monday, Sept. 9th:

Monday, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 5:24pm EDT. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this Moon placement supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this time, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it is currently transiting through its own sign, making this a great time to take look at your long-term aspirations and anything that you would like to master until Dec. 2020. It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our strategies for self-mastery.

For starters: Do you truly see “what’s so” in your life — as opposed to what you merely wish it to be, or what you would like it to be, or where you see yourself going, etc.? What is actually so right now? Once you have a handle on where “A” is, it’s easier to “go from A to B” — whether “B” is self-mastery or standing on the mountaintop.

Monday very early morninga harmonious Mars/Saturn aspect becomes exact at 12:14am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Wednesday evening (Sept. 4th) on; it will be strong until this Friday (Sept. 13th). This aspect brings more self-discipline, maturity, focus, purpose and self-motivation.

We tend to be more practical than usual; our progress in most projects may be slow, but it will always be steady — as you can imagine, this can be a very productive period, as we are able to take responsibility for our long-term goals and the foundations we are currently building. We can bring honesty and realism to the world, seeing what works and what doesn’t work for us, and we approach things with integrity.

This is an especially favorable aspect for those employed in any of the following industries: Health and wellness, service-oriented industries like consulting, accounting, house cleaning,  — and for independent contractors and the self-employed in general.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 11-17 degrees of Virgo, Capricorn, or Taurus? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Capricorn (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn).

Monday at 4:30am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 13 hours until 5:24pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to gain clarity about what’s important to you long-term. Ask yourself: What works for me in my daily routines? What doesn’t? What do I see now, that I can easily implement, that I couldn’t before?

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning until the late afternoon ahead of time.

Monday at 5:24pm EDT, the Moon move into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Thursday morning. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with…

Full Moon in Pisces — article

On Sept. 14th, at 12:33am EDT, the Sun opposes the Moon in 21 degrees of Pisces. The Moon in creative, free-flowing Pisces makes an opposition to the Sun in detail-oriented, practical Virgo — if you are already a Member of my online community, you may also want to watch my video on the subject: click here.

With this Full Moon, we are dealing with two stationing planets in Capricorn — Saturn and Pluto — both of which we will investigate in more detail during our upcoming Forecasting Forum on Sept. 19th. Both are preparing to end their respective Retrograde phases and are therefore exalted.

We are getting ready to move forward on some important long-term goals, but we’ll need to be patient until Saturn goes direct on Sept. 18th; until then, realistically evaluate what’s needed in order to build some healthy, long-lasting foundations for the next phase in our lives.

For a more in-depth interpretation of your own chart, join us live for the Forum on the 19thor get the mp4-video presentation of the live event. Either way: register here now (and also get access to this month’s Full Moon video)

If you are already a Star or Super Star Member, just look out for the Forecasting Forum emails in your inbox (promotional folders or junk mail), on Sept. 19th.

This Full Moon also resonates back to the New Moon in Pisces from March 6th of this year. Think back to that time: what began in March? How might you take that to the next level? What practical action steps could support you in fulfilling on a dream that you’ve had since March?

Now let’s address this Full Moon’s polarities: The Virgo/Pisces polarity has to do with our ability to connect the head with the heart, logic with intuition, matter with spirit. So, the question is: how do we integrate Pisces and Virgo?

This may seem a challenging question, given Virgo’s detailed, analytical understanding, contrasted with Pisces‘ call to open our heart and allow for all… even what seems paradoxical to the mind. In fact, on an energetic level there is no separation, everything is interconnected — we need both left- and right-brain (the logical and the creative).

Ask yourself: What if nothing and no one were separate? Appearing to be different, yes, but not separate…

The mind acts like a filtering mechanism that helps us to focus and function more efficiently. Virgo analyzes, Pisces feels, senses. Virgo seeks physical wholeness, Pisces reminds us of a greater wholeness, a spiritual wholeness — our interconnectedness with all of life, the allowing of all the mysteries of life.

To be at its best, Virgo aims for practical applications and to be of service, while Pisces learns to listen to inner/intuitive guidance above all else, using its imagination to bring love and light into this world, to sprinkle mystery fairy dust, and to create Paradise on Earth.

When these two archetypes are balanced within, we…

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 19-23 degrees of Pisces, Virgo, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you are more affected by this Full Moon — this is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

Again, if you are already a Member of my online community, feel free to also watch my video about this Full Moon (click here to watch) — and in the meantime, I will leave you with two beautiful quotes, that really resonate with this Full Moon:

“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal. All of our spiritual traditions teach the same thing. To achieve peace, be peace. Yet how does one be what one is wishing to experience? By making that choice whenever possible, and by causing others to experience what you wish to experience.” — by Neal D. Walsch

“Write down whatever is weighing heavy on your heart — every deep heart yearning, every problem your mind is trying to solve, every health issue, every relationship struggle, every difficult decision—toss it in the God box and let me help you handle it. Then trust me to clue you in if there’s any action you need to take. Then your action will be coming from a different impulse. It will feel like that electric energy that courses through your body, leaps you out of your chair, and compels you to sprint across town to do that one thing I’ve guided you to do—because you’re so gleefully antsy to do it that you can’t quite help yourself! Trust me on this one, my love.” Your Inner Pilot Light — by Lissa Rankin

September 2nd – 8th

Burning the Candle at Both Ends — Forecast for Sept. 2nd – 8th

This week’s headline items: Beginning Tuesday, it’s time to take actions on your New Moon Intentions, the first Quarter Moon in Sagittarius becomes exact late on Thursday evening, and there will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Monday early morning (for 15 hours), Wednesday morning (a little over 16 hours) and Friday early afternoon (just over 18.5 hours).

Monday, September 2nd:

Monday, the Moon remains in harmony-loving, balance-seeking Libra until 7:35pm EDT. The energy of the Libra Moon helps us be naturally courteous and diplomatic; we are more polite at this time, as we seek the approval of others.

We very much want to maintain equal, fair relationships at this time, and are therefore open to making compromises and negotiating. Today is a great time for mediation — but our need for peace and accompanying aversion to direct conflict could pull us to “yes” more easily than we might like.

We may also be able see both sides of the equation so well that we can’t make decisions. As best as you can, find an inner balance with this and communicate what needs to be said with grace and charm — even if it’s “No” 😉 One last quick note: this is also a great time for anything to do with visual arts.

Monday at 4:34am EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for 15 hours until 7:35pm EDT. Use this intuitive time to make some adjustments and find creative ways to work with the energies at play: On the one hand, as best as you can, collaborate with others and play nice, on the other hand, be authentic and truthful about what you want to build long-term.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday early morning until the evening ahead of time.

Monday morning, a Sun/Mars alignment in almost 9 degrees of Virgo becomes exact at 6:42am EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from August 24th on (soon after the Sun entered Virgo), it will remain strong until September 10th – (due to the Sun and Mars staying within a 3 degree orb until then: 15-18º of Virgo).

This alignment brings a lot of energy to our personal projects/goals and our health and wellbeing. We feel more confident and capable to accomplish anything brand-new; we are also more excited to tackling something challenging.

Being active and taking action comes quite easily and naturally with this combo. One thing to watch out for: we have the tendency now to be burning the candle at both ends; this could lead to exhaustion and physical burn-out.

This is a great time to start new projects that are connected to our physical bodies, our health/wellbeing, our daily routines, or our passions; anything that requires inspirational leadership and taking precise actions is a perfect match for this alignment as well.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (MC) or personal planets in 0-18 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, or Gemini? If so, you will feel the effects of this alignment more strongly than otherwise. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo; Mars rules Aries).

Monday early afternoon, a challenging Venus/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 12:26pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Friday, August 30th on, it will remain strong until Wednesday, September 4th. This aspect asks that we question our most fundamental beliefs and conditioning around money and relationships.

We have the opportunity here to grow beyond our understanding of what our values get us. Issues connected to love, relationships, and whatever is most valuable to us, can seem overwhelming at this time. This is because we have a tendency to overindulge or over-promise.

We mean well, because we are feeling quite optimistic at this time — but we may underestimate how much time we actually have, or how good a fit something actually is. Overspending, overindulging and over-promising could be connected to this aspect as well (as could making assumptions in our relationships); as best as you can, bring a non-judgmental awareness to any such tendencies.

As best as you can, weigh the benefits and limitations of any given situation or relationship (including those that lie within yourself or the other people involved), then base your decisions on what works best in the moment. Ask yourself: If I were less concerned with morality and “rightness”, what might I perceive about this from a neutral rather than a personal perspective?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-18 degrees of Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces, or Gemini? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Sagittarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).

Monday at 7:35pm EDT, the Moon moves into passionate, all-or-nothing Scorpio, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening. We feel things deeply and have “X-Ray Vision” and “Bullshit-Smelling Abilities” 😉

Emotional authenticity is extremely important to us at this time; anything less than 100% emotional honesty could be perceived as flat-out dishonest. Once we feel safe trusting someone, we want to merge with them, preferably forever… as long as our trust is never betrayed.

The Moon in Scorpio urges us to uncover our own power. This occurs by a process of subtraction — it urges us to let go of whatever disempowers us. It’s thus an excellent time to look at “old” fears, limiting habits or emotional attachments, especially those stemming from past traumas.

Moon in Scorpio tends to run right over ambiguity — it’s “in or out”, “with us or against us”, “love me or leave me”. It can be stormy — a cold winter storm, or a torrid tropical storm of passion, depending on how we “work” the energies 🙂

Manipulation and paranoia are the lower vibrations of this Moon placement, so as best as you are able,…

New Moon in Virgo — article

On Aug. 30th at 6:37am EDT, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 7 degrees of Virgo. This marks the beginning of a new Moon cycle. Feel free to watch my New Moon video on the subject (I will post it by the end of by Tuesday, Aug. 27th, at the the latest 🙂

This New Moon has an abundance of planets in Virgo; in Astrology we call this a Stellium — and this one includes Mercury, the Moon, the Sun, Mars and Venus. In the astrological sense, this list is “in order” — our mind leads — and we are more aware of where our daily lives need improvement and our thought processes need investigation in general.

Ask yourself: Am I overanalyzing things? Is my inner dialog bringing me clarity at this time? If not, what might need simplifying, so I can gain more clarity? What might “simplifying my life” look like?

Mercury is also the ruler of Virgo; it is in its own sign at the time of the New Moon, and its energy is thus exalted. Mercury remains in Virgo until Sept. 14th; this gives us some time to recognize where we have ignored important symptoms, feelings, or hunches — and then to eliminate the unnecessary and/or dysfunctional.

Ask yourself: What does my mind chatter say? Is it helpful? Does it help me make decisions in alignment with my lighter vibrations, my love-vibrations? In other words: Is my mind in service to my heart?

Virgo provides an opportunity to learn both about being of service, and about what it might mean to strengthen our focus on improving our daily routines — getting organized, for example — and taking care of health matters.

This New Moon cycle will therefore be a great time to begin new projects that demand attention to detail, list-making, and taking pride in “small” accomplishments. We might start a new health regimen, perhaps by paying close attention to our diet, we could also set up specific routines that help us manage our lives in constructive and mindful ways.

Looked at another way, this cycle is all about handling the nitty-gritty details of our day-to-day life in an organized, step-by-step fashion, so we can free our minds of clutter. Where could you use more open space?

Things to watch out for: sweating the details, worrying, being extra-critical of ourselves and others when something doesn’t get done “right”.

Another great way to step into the higher vibrations of Virgo: As best as you can, recognize that humility, self-improvement, and being of service bring you closer to your inner divinity and your Soul’s path.

Ask yourself: How could I, as a Spirit-being, operate more efficiently in the physical world? Might tweaking my daily routines help? And help me be of service? What benefits might I reap if I brought 5% more discernment to distinguishing between the essential and the redundant?

Since the New Moon in Virgo also conjuncts Mercury, Mars and Venus, we might ask…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 5-9 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly; the same is true for those with their Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (the Sun rules Leo; the Moon rules Cancer).

New Moons are also the best time to set some powerful intentions for the month’s Moon cycle, this is best done soon after the New Moon becomes exact, and definitely not during a Moon void of course phase.

This month, the best time to set intentions would therefore be between 6:37am on Aug. 30th and 4:46am on Aug. 31st — and if that’s not possible there is another great time between 7:08pm on Aug. 31st and 6:37am, on Sept. 1st (EDT is the New York timezone). For more info on setting New Moon Intentions click here

If you live in a timezone other than EDT (again, that’s the US East Coast time zone), I recommend you join my Facebook Fan-page or follow me on twitter. I will post reminders on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning to let you know when it is the best time to set your intentions 😉

August 26 – September 1

New & Unusual Directions — Forecast for Aug. 26th – Sept. 1st

This week’s headline items: the Uranus station ends on Monday; the Balsamic Moon phase starts on Tuesday morning; Mercury changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Thursday early morning; and the New Moon in Virgo becomes exact on Friday morning.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday early morning (for 15 hours), Wednesday evening (just under 24 hours), and Saturday early morning (roughly 14.5 hours).

Now for this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 26th:

Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt — so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key until Tuesday evening 😉

Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others — home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.

Monday: Uranus resumes its normal pace through the sky, ending its station. What has come up in the last four weeks around radical change, personal freedom, and needing to individuate? How are you doing at honoring your own individuality?

Monday very early morning, we are invited to make adjustments and (as best as we can) find creative solutions to seemingly insoluble situations. Make space both for healing around anger or self-identity and for taking care of emotional or family issues.

Monday early morning, brings an opportunity to connect to family (or friends that feel like family) and create breakthroughs around things that we enjoy through our five senses (e.g. food). This may also be a good time to find a unique or global approach on financial matters that bring us a sense of emotional security.

Monday late morning, a harmonious Venus/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 11:38am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from last week, Friday evening (Aug. 23rd) on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday (Aug. 28th). This aspect helps us to embrace all that is new and unusual in romance and finance. We are ready to experiment — but not to commit. We have an offbeat, pleasant attitude and people are more willing to socialize.

This is an especially good time for financial undertakings involving any of the following: technology and the internet; metaphysics; the arts; group activities. We lose our fear of taking risks at this time, this could be a good couple of days for the stock market indexes…or at the very least, an unpredictable one 🙂

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 3-7 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra or Aquarius (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Uranus rules Aquarius).

Monday early evening, we may experience authoritarian or rigid attitudes, both toward and from others. This could create some tension or oppositional behaviors — so, as best you can, remain flexible and practice self-care, doing your best to take care of your emotional and physical body — that way, you’ll remain able to stay grounded in reality.

Monday evening, requires some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice, one that demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to expand our horizons and learn more about life, other cultures, religions, etc. — and on the other hand, the need to nurture ourselves and stay in touch with our feeling body.

Monday late evening, we are in a state of “flow” and emotional connection to others; spiritual and…

A Desire to Help & Serve — Forecast for August 19th – 25th

This week’s headline items: Venus changes signs from Leo to Virgo on Wednesday early morning — and the Sun will follow suit on Friday morning — while the last Quarter Moon in Gemini becomes exact late Friday morning.

There will be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (for a brief 29 minutes), Thursday early evening (a not-so-brief 17 hours), and Sunday very early morning (for a little over 14 hours).

Quick announcement before we get started:

Now for this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 19th:

Monday, the Moon remains in pioneering, fast-paced Aries all day. It will journey there until Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning.

Monday late morning, things flow nicely, and we feel excited about new adventures. There is an ease around connecting with others and communicating in a heartfelt way. We have an opportunity to take playful actions that support our projects.

Monday early evening, we are invited to make some adjustments in our lives and find creative solutions to seemingly incompatible situations. On the one hand, we are invited to focus on building solid foundations under any long-term goals currently underway. Some helpful questions you could ask yourself: What benefits might I reap from taking it one step at a time?

On the other hand, we have this need to make time for personal desires and needs; here, you could ask yourself: What does my inner teenager require to be happy at this time?

Also, Monday early evening, we feel an enthusiasm for personal achievement and exploration; in particular, we have an urge to explore something new that helps us develop an all-around understanding of…

Now for this week’s Forecast…

Monday, August 12th:

Monday, the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Tuesday late morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it is currently transiting through its own sign, making this a great time to take look at your long-term aspirations and anything that you would like to master over the next three years. It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our strategies for self-mastery.

For starters: Do you truly see “what’s so” in your life (as opposed to what you merely wish it to be, or what you would like it to be, or where you see yourself going, etc)? What is actually so right now? Once you have a handle on where “A” is, it’s easier to “go from A to B” — whether “B” is self-mastery or standing on the mountaintop.

Monday morning, we experience a sense of maturity, and commitment towards ourselves and our long-term goals; for long-term success, focus on long-term projects that require a realistic approach or a solid commitment.

Monday late morning, we have an opportunity to soften our need for accomplishment with a gentler, more intuitive approach.

Monday afternoon, we are in invited to make some inner adjustments. We feel uneasy or awkward and need to make a choice. Making this choice demands we develop inner awareness around two very different urges: on the one hand, the desire to have fun with others, and create something beautiful — and on the other, the need to accomplish something out there in the real world, and to be responsible and self-reliant.

Monday at 6:11pm EDT, we enter a Moon Void of Course (VoC), that lasts for almost 17.5 hours until 11:35am EDT (Tuesday late morning). Use this intuitive time to focus on long-term successes. We might get a little obsessed with a project or task — as best as you can, take breaks and don’t forget to practice a little self-care 😉

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan…

Full Moon in Aquarius — article

On Aug. 15th, at 8:29am EDT, the Full Moon becomes exact in almost 22.5 degrees of Aquarius. The Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius opposes the Sun in fun-loving, expressive Leo. If you are already a Member of my online community, you can click here to watch my video about this Full Moon 😉

Two planets are Stationing at the the time of this Full Moon, and are therefore more exalted: Jupiter in Sagittarius (i.e. in its own sign), and Uranus in Taurus (the modern ruler of Aquarius). Both of these planets change direction on Aug. 11th, with Jupiter going direct after a 4-month retrograde phase, and Uranus starting its 5-month retrograde phase.

We will talk in more details about both of these planetary shifts in my next Forecasting Forum on Aug. 15thFeel free to join us live, or register to get the mp4-video presentation of this webinar, to see how these Station phases are impacting you personally.

But first, let’s talk about this Full Moon:
The Sun in Leo conjuncts Venus and Mars, so the Moon in Aquarius opposes this Stellium in Leo; this highlights the power of our individual creativity and the exponential potency of collaboration. Each of us is invited to reclaim ourselves, and add our voice, heart, and hands to something that has meaning for us.

Leo symbolizes the embodiment of heart-centered consciousness — the expression of our own individual light, unique gifts, and inner spark of the divine — while on the other hand, Aquarius symbolizes the power of community and collaboration to bring about a common vision.

When we align our head with our heart, we feel our interconnectedness with all of humanity, and we create and connect from love instead of fear. Given that Leo represents our individual self-expression and Aquarius our vision for humankind, a question is raised: How can we best achieve a balance between these two energies? Or perhaps even an integration?

For the next two weeks, we’ll be looking for answers to this question, as we become more aware that something is out of alignment.

Even the brightest of Full Moons has a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or easy to embrace… As always with shadow aspects of ourselves, we need to beware of getting triggered or jumping to conclusions; we need to make sure we take time to respond rather than react.

Which is very apropos to the talk I gave last weekend at the “Fresh Voices in Astrology Summit”. This event featured 12 talks from 12 different astrologers — and you can purchase an “All Access Pass” and get recordings of each session, for roughly $10 per topic. Click here for more info — and if you who attended liveplease email me, so I can send you the “React vs. Respond” handout I used in my talk.

Back to the shadow sides of this Full Moon — let’s start with Leo’s shadow side, since we currently have a Stellium in Leo:
Leo’s shadow can show up as…

Do you have your Ascendant (or any personal planets) in 20-25 degrees of Leo, Aquarius, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you may feel the effects of this Full Moon more strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer (since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer).
