Stand in Your Power — Forecast for Jan. 15th – 21st

This quote really sums up last week for me: “If you insist on being in a hurry, you’ll move very quickly — and often get nowhere. Take a breath. Relax. Find your peace. Don’t require the Universe to move more rapidly than it is. It is actually working perfectly, and it will prove that to you if you will give it a chance. Really. Trust me on this.” — Neale Donald Walsh

Before we get to this week’s forecast, I have one quick announcement:

We are getting closer to the launch of my new online community!

Right now we are aiming for Jan.16th or 17th — keep your fingers crossed for me 😉 I’m super-excited, and at the same time, I also sometimes stress out about the scope of this amazing new beginning for myself and everyone out there who will join us.

But as my spiritual coach likes to remind me, “Life is an ongoing experiment” and “True professionalism is about being able to be flexible and kind about unforeseen situations that come up, allowing ourselves to learn from them and finding out how to make creative adjustments.”

This week’s headline items: the New Moon in Capricorn becomes exact on Tuesday; Venus changes signs from Capricorn to Aquarius on Wednesday, and the Sun will do the same on Friday. Last but not least, Eclipse season begins on Sunday and runs until Feb. 25th.

There will also be three Moon VoC phases this week: Tuesday night/Wednesday very early morning (for 2 hours), Friday morning (for a little over 8.5 hours), and Sunday evening (for a little over 5 hours).

Monday (January 15th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day. It will journey there until Wednesday very early morning. We tend to be more realistic, serious, cautious; this can support practical endeavors and financial matters.

Our ambition surges and brings with it a need for structure and planning; when you add in the pragmatism this aspect supports, you can see how this could be a very productive time for business and long-term goals. Our reputation becomes very important to us.

As best as you can during this aspect, avoid “should-ing” on yourself. Take the pressure off, perhaps by saying “I am doing the best I can and that’s all I can ever do” 😉

Saturn is the ruler of Capricorn; it is currently transiting through its own sign, making this a great time to take look at your long-term aspirations and anything that you would like to master over the next three years. It’s also a great time to take a more serious look at our strategies for self-mastery.

As best as you can, be truthful with yourself about where you are at: Do you actually have a realistic view about what is so, right now, in your life? Not what you wish it to be or what you would like it to be or where you see yourself going…. What is so right now? Once you know where “A” is, it’s easier to “go from A to B”, whether “B” is self-mastery or standing on the mountaintop.

Monday very early morning, an opportune Sun/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 1:59am EST. We started to feel this aspect from Friday night on; it will remain strong until this Wednesday morning. This aspect is an opportunity for self-healing; this could support our confidence and brings us into better alignment with our physical and emotional body.

We all have flaws, wounds, insecurities. The more we can open up to that being ok for ourselves, the less judgmental we will be with others. This is also a great time to recognize that our so-called flaws and insecurities have become some of our best assets and strengths — how might this be true for you?

Until Friday, as best as you can, practice gentleness; be kind to yourself and others. Again, remember: an opportunity is an opening, a glimpse of new possibilities — so “opportunities” are not simply handed to us, tied up with a bow — we have to “take” them, and make something of them. What will you do with this particular opportunity?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-27 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Taurus or Scorpio? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Monday late evening: an opportune long-term Jupiter/Pluto aspect that we started to feel back on Tuesday Jan. 3rd becomes exact at 11:13pm EST; it will remain strong until Wednesday, Jan. 31st and brings with it an opportunity to deepen our relationships, business and personal alike.

A positive attitude and deeper trust in our connections with others gives us the chance to build something meaningful and share our passions with them. We also have a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and deep focus right now that can support professional or personal goals.

Ask yourself: Where could I really dig in to solve a problem? How might passion help deliver on my long-term goals? How could other people’s resources support my ability to create transformation? How might they help me stand in my power?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 17-21 degrees of Scorpio, Capricorn, Pisces or Virgo? If so, you will be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Pisces (the Sun rules Leo; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).

Tuesday (Jan. 16th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn all day (see Monday for details).

Tuesday evening, at 9:17pm EST, the Moon aligns with the Sun in almost 27 degrees of Capricorn, launching a new Moon cycle.

This is a good time to go within, to seed anything we would like to accomplish for the next 28 days, and maybe even beyond. The next section of this forecast will dig in to this in more detail; you may also want to watch my New Moon video 🙂

This is the first New Moon of the year and since Capricorn represents the quest for mastery on the physical plane, some useful questions you can ask yourself include:

What is my relationship to the physical? Do I respect the laws of matter? Am I going about things in a realistic way? How committed am I really? Where does my inner compass point? What am I willing to undergo to overcome adversity?

The highest vibration of Capricorn is the development of responsibility, resourcefulness, reliability, self-mastery, the ability to set realistic goals and healthy boundaries. The next 28 days are a perfect time to work on these areas.

As best as you can, prepare for the future, make commitments and recognize responsibilities — in other words, nurture your dreams in a realistic manner. Focus on setting and achieving practical and attainable long-term goals, one step at a time, one day at a time — this is not about immediate results, it’s about the quality of the foundation you are building.

Capricorn also invites us to set the kind of realistic limits and boundaries that allow everyone involved to learn from the consequences of their choices. Ask yourself: Where in my life am I able to set realistic limits and boundaries? Where is that an obstacle in your life? What am I afraid of in those moments? What would be the worst of that?

Capricorn relates directly to the level of our maturity: We start out on a more instinctual, survival level; this stage is basically fear-based, with a scarcity mentality.

Once we get better at living on the earth plane — and we understand the rules better — we transition to goal-oriented ambition and self-challenge, seeking recognition and rewards. This phase is still sometimes fear-based, but already we are taking more responsibility for our part in achieving things, and we are manifesting on the physical plane.

Eventually, as we grow spiritually and learn more about the laws of matter, earthly ambitions are often replaced by some form of spiritual service. We recognize that personal gain is not the only (or even the highest) goal, we see that when we contribute to others, we are also giving to ourselves — perhaps we also surpass the physical appearance of separation and connect to life in it’s highest form.

At this level, we are living in pure accordance with our conscience, from a place of maturity and inner guidance.

Ask yourself: What if I developed 5% more discipline? Integrity? What about 5% more commitment towards something that aligns both with myself and with life itself? What would 100% responsibility for my life look like? What if I responded to situations in a way that respects and serves all those involved?

This New Moon aligns with Venus and Pluto in Capricorn and squares Uranus in Aries.

First let’s focus on the alignment with Venus and Pluto: This conveys an extra-potent message about our perception of physical reality — time and space — and about our relationship to love, our values, power or feeling empowered. Ask yourself: If I truly had choice in the matter, what kind of future would I choose to step into? Who would I choose to connect with? Why? Who would I not choose to connect with? Why not?

Venus in conjunction with the New Moon advises us to choose wisely and from the heart. Ask yourself: Am I true to myself? Am I working too hard without making enough progress? Am I expressing my feelings truthfully? Or hiding my true feelings from others? Am I in touch with what’s important to me — especially in regards to relationships? Am I happy? Could I love and respect myself and life 5% more?

With this many planets in Capricorn, it is important for us to take breaks — or simply slow down and allow ourselves to tune in. It’s important to explore ways to stay heart-centered and grounded — seek tools or people to help you with that exploration.

Now let’s talk about the square to Uranus — the energy of freedom, innovation and reform. This combo focuses our attention on the right use of power — which respects the rights, needs, and gifts of all beings.

Ask yourself: Where do I need to be more courageous? Where do I need to “think different”? What if I became 5% more aware of my personal power? Where might I have given it away to others? And how might I begin to reclaim it?

Remember that change is not always progress. Consider all options first and then respond, rather than reacting; stay flexible and be willing to entertain new possibilities. What if — in small or large ways — I could help birth a new age, and with it a new world, one based on heart-centered consciousness and individual freedoms?

The New Moon also sextiles Mars in Scorpio and Chiron in Pisces. This is an opportunity to heal our collective wounds around any sense of spiritual disconnection in our world of accomplishments. We get a chance to connect more deeply with others and bring a powerful approach to what we are building and working towards. Our actions tend to be in greater alignment with our deepest desires.

Ask yourself: What if I could be both productive and gentle with myself at the same time? What would a compassionate approach make possible? What is pushing or pulling at me? How could my actions become a source of empowerment? What if I allowed all actions to flow from a deep sense of authentic connectedness? What if I forgave myself and others for having flaws or limitations?

Given that it rules Capricorn, Saturn’s placement in its own sign plays an important role with this New Moon — and if you’d like to know how Saturn’s journey in Capricorn will impact you personally over the next three years, feel free to check out my 90+ minute webinar on the subject, available for purchase on my website (or check out a 30-minute excerpt for free 🙂

Saturn conjuncts Mercury while in Capricorn. This reminds us of the power of our mind — that our thoughts and words matter. What am I doing, career-wise? What is the long-term plan? How can I honor and share those goals with others in a clear and honest way?

It’s time to think seriously about what no longer works. As best as you can, investigate your thought processes: What no longer feels useful in my approach? What if I got real about that? What might be possible if I took 5% more responsibility for my inner dialog, and the energy those thoughts disperse?

To sum all of this up: We are invited to become mature, responsible planetary citizens, while honoring our individuality — in other words, making a difference, one by one — even when it seems as though we are too little to create a big shift on our own. No matter how small an action may seem, every pebble makes a ripple…

This cosmic combo also directs our attention to our bottom lines. What matters most to me? What are my priorities? Am I living my truth, and thus loving my goals? Where is it best to be flexible, and where must I remain focused and in alignment with my commitments? When have I felt the happiest? What if I committed 5% more to the things, people and places in my life that make me happy?

Inner strength and self-reliance come almost entirely from adversity; obstacles are the part of life that show us where we have an opportunity to become more capable and where we have drifted from contact with outer reality or inner truth. Am I on the right track, as best as I can tell? Am I walking my own path? Or someone else’s?

What obstacles can I see or sense from here? What if there was value in those obstacles? Could I send them gratitude for being given the opportunity to get back into greater alignment with myself and reality?

Choose wisely for 2018 and beyond. Participate consciously in the evolution of existence on this planet, not from fear, but from knowledge of your inner strength and personal power — the power of your heart and your humanity! Trust your inner truth!

We are also about to enter Eclipse season, as the first of two Eclipses becomes exact on Jan. 31st; I’ll be talking more about this in my next Monthly Forecasting Forum on Feb. 3rd. Feel free to join us, as we talk about the upcoming Eclipses: Lunar and Solar Eclipse (one of them is a SuperMoon and therefore more potent). To register, click here now

Do you have your Ascendant or any personal planets in one of the following placements: 25-29 degrees of Capricorn, Libra, Aries, or Cancer? If so, you may feel the effects of this New Moon more strongly.

The New Moon is also the best time to set some powerful intentions for the month’s Moon cycle — and the very best time to do this is after the New Moon becomes exact (and definitely not during a Moon void of course).

So this month the two best and most potent times to set intentions would be any time between 9:17pm Tuesday evening (Jan. 26th) and 1:30am Wednesday very early morning (Jan. 17th), or between Wednesday at 3:32am and Thursday (Jan. 18th) at 9:17pm (EST/New York-time).  Again, feel free to also watch my New Moon video

Wednesday (January 17th): the Moon remains in practical, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn until 3:32am EST (see Monday for details).

Wednesday at 1:30am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for 2 hours, until 3:32am EST. If you are awake, use this intuitive time to take care of anything that has value for you long-term.

In general, during a Moon VoC, listen to your intuition and go with the flow. As best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new. You may also want to plan Wednesday very early morning ahead of time 😉

Wednesday at 3:32am EST, the Moon moves into freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until Friday afternoon. The energy of the Aquarian Moon relates to our instinct for improvement. Reactions are more intellectual than emotional; interactions more impersonal than personal. We are likely to have an increased fascination with the new and unusual.

Social gatherings, anything connected with group ideals and goals for the future, brainstorming, new ideas and methods, progress: all these are promoted during the time the Moon moves through Aquarius. Again: we have our eyes on the future — or on outer space 🙂 Personal freedom becomes paramount.

Wednesday after 3:32am EST, for the rest of the day: If you haven’t gotten around to it yet, set your Intentions for this Moon cycle… If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon 😉 For more details on how to set New Moon Intentions, click here

Wednesday late afternoon, a somewhat challenging Mars/Uranus aspect becomes exact at 4:37pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Monday evening on; it will remain strong until this Friday morning. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward — and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting — this aspect calls for flexibility.

We experience an internal stress between our masculine energies (assertiveness/aggression) and our need to express our unique spark (and the desire to make a difference).

We are being asked to go within and look at our personal goals and desires — and reach a new perspective on how we go about achieving them. Are we driven by personal resistance and rebellion, or motivated to positively impact humanity?

Once we get clear about our deepest motivations, we will discover new ways to move forward and embrace our uniqueness in a healthy way, while demonstrating our strength and power more authentically, from a place of love and abundance, rather than fear and limitation.

How might you get in touch with your inner genius? What if you shared it from a true desire to empower others?  What “old” behaviors can now be released? What might a deep, passionate connection to your vision of a future self look like? What might be possible if you could get 5% more comfortable with being uncomfortable?

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 23-26 degrees of Scorpio or Aries? If so, you will be more affected by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aries or Aquarius (Mars is the ruler of Aries; Uranus rules Aquarius ).

Wednesday at 8:44pm EST, Venus changes signs from productive, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-oriented, forward-thinking Aquarius, where it will journey until February 10th. This requires that we provide more freedom in our relationships. Basically, we want to improve them, break away from what feels old or stale.

We want our intellectual qualities to be admired; we also want to connect to like-minded people that share our vision — so friendships and networking will be favored for the next 3 weeks. We may consider unusual financial investments. This is a good time for financial undertakings involving the following areas: electronics, technology and the internet, metaphysics, the arts group activities.

Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Aquarius? If so, this placement will bring extra love and beauty into your life. Do you have your Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus or Libra? If so, you may feel the need for freedom or change in your relationships more strongly.

Thursday (Jan. 18th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius all day (see Wednesday early morning for details).

Thursday early afternoon, a harmonious Mars/Chiron aspect becomes exact at 1:02pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from last Saturday evening on; it will remain strong until next week, Tuesday (Jan. 23rd). This gives us a chance to learn to accept our desire and anger as valid — so that when we express them, we do so naturally and confidently, without harming ourselves or others — simply allowing ourselves to feel anger and talk about it, just as we would about joy.

Ask yourself: What if I brought understanding and compassion to anger or assertiveness? What if my desires were valid? We may also develop a strong sense of mission that can carry us through obstacles. We’d like to team up with others to fight injustice, purge something “unclean” from the world, or  simply bring healing where we believe it’s needed.

Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Scorpio, Pisces or Cancer? Or perhaps  your  Ascendant or Sun-sign is in Aries? If so, you are especially blessed by this aspect.

Also on Thursday until 9:17pm EST: If you haven’t gotten around to it yet, set your Intentions for this Moon cycle… If possible, align them with the New Moon energies that I spoke about in my video — feel free to watch it again if you are not sure anymore — click here to watch my video on the New Moon 😉 For more details on how to set New Moon Intentions, click here

Friday (Jan. 19th): the Moon remains in freedom-loving, forward-thinking in Aquarius until 3:26pm EST (see Wednesday early morning for details).

Friday at 6:52am EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 8.5 hours, until 3:26pm ESTWe are experiencing two quite different needs, pulling us in different directions: On the one hand, we feel a strong need to break the rules and move towards our future visions.

On the other hand, we want to connect to what feels familiar and comfortable. Do your best to use this intuitive time to make adjustments, slow things down a little, and find creative solutions that honor both drives.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Friday morning and afternoon ahead of time 😉

Friday at 3:26pm EST, the Moon moves into creative, sensitive Pisces, where it will journey until Monday very early morning (Jan. 22nd). This Moon placement often finds us more sensitive, intuitive, idealistic and imaginative than normal. We also have a greater capacity for compassion, sympathy and affection for all — but especially for those who suffer or can be regarded as the underdog.

But… that very idealism could also be our downfall at this time: We tend to see the best in everyone and everything, and when reality doesn’t match our idyllic vision, we might feel upset and even victimized by those harsh realities. A way out of this is to channel our idealism into spiritual or creative endeavors.

It’s also a great time for releasing fears — especially the ones based on a sense of separation — and experiencing “oneness”. Feelings tend to flow more freely; as best as you can, let them — in fact, “going with the flow” is the best way to go for the next couple of days.

Friday evening, an opportune Mercury/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 8:08pm EST. We started to feel this aspect from Thursday morning on; it will remain strong until Saturday night. This aspect gives us the opportunity to bring compassion and an intuitive approach to our thinking process. Having faith and connecting to our Higher Selves will be of service to us at this time. Any artistic or spiritual endeavors are likely to do well at this time. Music might help us with our thinking process and ability to get things done.

Let yourself be inspired! A book, a song, a movie, someone else’s words… allow the Universe to speak to you. Open your mind to a higher vibration — and remember, opportunities are openings… they aren’t necessarily handed to us… we have to “take” them and make something of them. Is there anything that came up around 16 days ago that needs to be readdressed? If so, this is your chance… 😉

Do you have your Ascendent, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 10-14 degrees of Capricorn, Pisces, Scorpio or Taurus? If so, you may be more aware of this opportunity. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Pisces (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Neptune rules Pisces).

Friday at 10:09pm EST, the Sun changes signs from practical, cautious, accomplishment-oriented Capricorn to freedom-loving, forward-thinking and objective Aquarius, where it will journey until February 18th. For the next four weeks, we have advancement and progress in our hearts.

We want to get off the beaten path, leaving behind old and outdated ways of thinking and doing, throwing off personal and social conditioning – those restrictions, limitations and inhibitions that may once have felt safe, but now feel constraining.

Our idealism runs strong, but we can have some fixed ideas about how we want to accomplish these ideals – although we are open to new ideas in theory, in practice we may actually be quite stubborn.

Finally, we are also definitely more aware of the impact each individual has on the whole of society. All this is especially true if you are a Leo or Aquarius Sun-sign or Rising-sign. As an Aquarius, you will feel a good dose of confidence and playfulness in the next four weeks; as a Leo, you are more objective than usual…working towards a vision for the future might be just the thing for you to do.

Saturday (Jan. 20th): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Friday afternoon for details).

Saturday afternoon: we feel more sensitive and need to slow down a little. This is a great time for spiritual or creative endeavors. Energy work, or anything that requires our intuitive side, will work best for the next several hours.

Saturday late afternoon/early evening: we get an opportunity to be very present; also to connect with others and share practical advice or talk about our long-term plans. As best as you can, bring a sense of flow and faith to your interactions with others.

Sunday (Jan. 21st): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces all day (see Friday afternoon for details).

Sunday at 8:13pm EST, we enter a Moon void of course (VoC). that lasts for a little over 5 hours, until 1:27am EST (Monday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to connect with others (and yourself) with gentleness and compassion. Taking actions on deeply transformative and spiritual endeavors are favored right now.

As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Sunday evening and night ahead of time 😉

Last but not least, also on Sunday, we enter Eclipse season until Feb. 25th; for 10 days before and after an Eclipse, we are usually in uncharted territory: anything is possible and it’s wise to expect the unexpected. Feel free to watch my video about the upcoming Lunar Eclipse

Anything brand-new (and I really mean brand, brand-new) started during this time will likely not pan out the way we thought it would, often because important information comes to light only after the New Moon that follows the last Eclipse. If possible, try to defer any major brand-new projects until after Feb. 25th, when this Eclipse season is over. If something is beginning or ending in a way that seems organic… allow it to be.

Another Eclipse-related phenomenon: not only do Eclipses bring up uncertainty in us, they might also leave us nervous, anxious, unsettled and disoriented. As best as you can, observe your feelings and stay grounded in the “here and now”. Connect to your intuition and inner wisdom; they will help carry you through this period. Remember: it’s temporary and we are receiving an upgrade — that’s a good thing!

Just like upgrading a computer, you will get all the information you need, as soon as the upgrade is complete — so as best you can, be patient. This does not mean that we need to drop everything; it just means it’s wise to check in with your higher Self — do this whichever way feels right to you 😉

A head’s up for next Monday (Jan. 22nd): the Moon remains in creative, sensitive Pisces and VoC until 1:27am EST (see Friday afternoon for details). At 1:27am EST, the Moon moves into Aries, where it will journey until Wednesday morning. Also on Monday, start to take actions on your New Moon intentions from earlier this week. More about all the details in next week’s forecast 😉
